Brrr. It was cold. He'd nearly forgotten how the winters in the North were. Unlike he, Castidenloth was comfortably sunning himself on their weyrledge laughing at his expense. I told you, you should have just waited a little longer to hide. You didn't have to hunker down in your hiding spot for such a long time. Yeah well... you are a spoil sport. So there. At least I'm not an old man. Hey, if I'm such an old man, lets see if I remember your midwinter's present. He could feel Castidenloth's laughter even if he couldn't hear it. He didn't mind waiting, one never really knew for certain when a wild Farryl would pass by after work. Even though this was a common exit that he'd spotted her leaving from quite a few times. He'd gathered enough snow from around his hiding spot to make a few snowballs with while not making suspicious indents in the white powder. Now he only had to wait behind his snowdrift in his white and light grey snow jacket (the one he'd acquired for exactly the purpose of hiding in the snow).
Upside, he had remembered to bring a insulated skin of Klah to keep him company as he "hunkered down". It wasn't scalding hot any more, which was good, it also meant he could gulp down a bigger mouthful than he could before. You know, without burning his mouth out of his head. With a warm feeling in the bottom of his belly, K'thay began making designs in the snow on the back of his snow drift. Random swirls turned into directional arrows and a miniature map of the surrounding Inverness area. If he wasn't Fort bred and trained no one was. With a sigh, the Bluerider snubbed out the map with the heel of his hand and cast a glance around the inside of the Weyrbowl. He still didn't feel confident about living inside of a Volcano, even if it was supposed to be dormant, and after two turns he still remained skittish over the fact.
In fact the volcano's dormancy wasn't the only thing he was having trouble getting used to... Peace. No War. No fighting or conniving or battles. His business was war, more specifically, assassination. And he was currently out of the job and it made him antsy. Threadfall did nothing for him and Casti, although it seemed the Blue enjoyed destroying it out of default. But he didn't get the specific pleasure that aerial battles did. Stretching one leg than the other K'thay yawned, though he froze when a group of people started to exit. Was Farryl among them?

The air was chilly but other than that the evening was clear and pleasant. He'd gotten off watch duty half an hour ago, giving himself enough time to take a quick shower before taking his walk. Viveth was in his shelter hidden away from everyone though E'iah had invited him to come along. Tucking his hands into his pockets, the Bluerider trotted by his brother Zaharan and his two kids, lifting a hand he waved to them with a smile. It was nice being around his family again even though some of the tension over him becoming a Dragonrider still was brought up from time to time. More so by his parents, his Brothers didn't mind much, not since they had all gotten married and had kids. Plus he'd always be the little brother of the three, whatever he did didn't matter as much as Zaharan or Aharza and now that they had children he didn't need to bother about that for a long time. Their family line would continue even if he never contributed. Kicking a stone, E'iah nodded at the kindly old lady who ran a fruit stand as she began to close her last window and got an apple for his efforts.
Ten or so minutes later he had passed out the gates of the hold proper and was headed toward the meadowy area that lined the main road for half a mile to each side. Hyphen proper was rather pretty to look at, if only because it was a vacation hot spot for people from all corners of pern. Twirling the apple as he stepped farther to the side to let a messenger on a runner pass by, E'iah rubbed it on his shirt before taking a bite. Wobbling as he jumped down the raised side of the road the Bluerider waded his way through the long grassed and sleeping flowers. By the time he finished his apple E'iah had made it to the fencing he'd been aiming for. Tossing his core over his shoulder and into the pasture land, where some bovine or goat could get it later, he leaned against one of the poles with a sigh.
Had it really been two turns? It felt like much longer. His routine didn't change much day to day and most of the time it was either so monotonous or familiar that everything fell into place without much hassle. Especially once he'd been reunited with family. Crossing his arms he tilted his head up and brought his gaze to the sky. The sun had nearly finished setting and you could see some of the first stars poking their way out of the darkness that followed the fading light. He'd brought a glowlight in his small messenger bag, but he wouldn't pull it out till much later. He often came out to this spot to destress, and watching the light fade alone was one of his ways to do so. Closing his eyes, he let himself enjoy the small breeze as it swept by.

"Maybe, Papa." Einata tapped the heels of her feet on the floor bashfully. "But I don't think I'd be that good." She never thought she could surpass her Papa or even Uncle Demi, they were both really good, probably the best ever. She squeaked slightly Tizzy streaked by followed closely by Vain. Quickly she whipped her hand out and caught the younger Blue, pulling him onto her lap while keeping his claws away from her hands. "Vain, no. Leave him alone." She ignored the Blue's complaints as she petted him, eventually calming him down enough so that he simply huffed and flopped across her lap. Her Daddy had told her at first, Vain hadn't liked her, but he loved her now. It was funny to think that the Blue liked her but didn't very much like her Papa.
Looking up from her lap, Einata smiled. "Fort! 'Rissa and Zemmy are there. We could say hi and stuff." She wiggled her toes thoughtfully. What else did she want to do? Well she had a billion ideas, but not all of them could be done in one day. "Caaan wee... goo... to the market? Its cold though, will there still be a market?" Tilting her head, Einata waved the edge of the ribbon she had in her pocket at Vain, letting him play with it to keep him distracted.
---
As Einata caught Vain, Nautic caught Tizzy, lifting him up so he could hide in the collar of his shirt. He was glad that the other Blue liked their daughter now, it had been hectic trying to prevent accidents when she first joined their life. "I agree, Fort sounds like a good bet if we want to see snow." Nautsk rumbled slightly. She herself wasn't terribly fond of the frozen water but she always went with. The Green was definitely a warm weather Wher. Twisting his joining ring around with his thumb and pinkie, Nautic thought for a moment. The market sounded fun. He always enjoyed walking through the shops and stalls trying to find unique little things to buy, plus haggling was always a fun way to spend time. But was there anything else?
"Hmm. What about the hot springs? There are some in the North by Inverness since we'll be in the North anyway. We could request rooms at the Weyr if we want to stay the night?" He stopped fiddling with his ring. "Or what about going to Southern Boll? I know your sisters want to see Einata again, it has been a while. That could be nice too. And its a shorter jump between from Fort to Southern Boll." He knew Einata didn't like Betweening all that much, but she put up with it because it meant she got to go places quickly.

E'rro waved his hand dismissively. "Its fine. I should have remembered the blind turn, even at a jog the corner is dangerous. I'll have one of the interns patch me up later. I'm sure one or two would love to poke and prod at my wound for payback." When K'ian peeled back the cloth around his hand, the Brownrider eyed it before picking up a clean bandage pad and handing it to the other man. "Doesn't look infected, or deep enough for stitches. We'll clean it and butterfly stitch it." He paused. "Butterfly stitches are pieces of stiff cloth we glue on with ging to hold the edges of the cut together." E'rro glanced at a marked candle that was burning nearby. "Oh yes, I heard about that from Kai. What was his name, Ranthian?" He was good at remembering names. "Perhaps its not a good idea to spar with a child who has just been sent to live with you after not having seen you for turns, hm?" The Brownrider glanced back at K'ian, having little spies around the weyr in the form of Riaren and his friends was helpful at times. "And Feather is fine. She's resting comfortably in the pocket of my healer's coat."
Another look at the candle told him it was time to take off the numbweed. And that he did, gently even though the Bronzerider shouldn't feel much more than a mild burning sensation at the worst. Once he got all of the mixture off he cleaned off his hands again. "I'm going to reset your nose, you should feel pressure and maybe a slight pop. The pain will be minimal to bearable. It will take less than a second. Ready?" He waited for K'ian's permission then swiftly grabbed the man's nose and made a quick pull and tilt motion, feeling the cartilage go back into place under his fingers. E'rro was also prepared for the bleeding that started again, pressing a small towel right under K'ian's nostrils. "Here, hold this and lean forward." He passed the holding of the towel. "Now with your other hand hold your nose like this," E'rro he showed him where to pinch. "Once it stops bleeding again, we can finish up."
Moving the tray slightly so he could sit next to K'ian, the Brownrider waved over a slightly older looking woman. "I haven't looked at it yet, but I think I'll need a stitch or two." He said to the woman then let her inspect his lip. He confirmed his theory. "That's what I thought. Would you mind?" He watched as the woman left and then returned with a significantly smaller tray than the one K'ian had been brought. The Healer cleaned the area, applied a little bit of numbweed on the skin surrounding the bite then wiped it off and threaded a thin curved needle. E'rro closed his eyes so he didn't have to watch the woman put in the stitches. Two on either side of his lip, fortunately there was no damage to his gum line. "Thanks." He hopped down of the table as soon as there was room to do so. Turning back to his own patient he said, "Lets see your nose." He waited till the woman was gone before saying, "I hate being the patient."

Inspecting K'ian's nose, E'rro nodded slightly before walking over to the nearest wash station to scrub his hands clean. He returned just as one of the apprentices appeared with the tray of items he requested. "Well, lets get your nose cleaned and numbed before I tell you what a cautery rod does." The Brownrider quirked a smile as he set the tray down next to K'ian on the raised exam bench. Taking a cloth he dipped it in the small bowl of diluted redwart solution then applied it gently to either side of K'ian's nose with quick a swipe as he could manage without causing to much pain. "Sorry. Okay, this," He picked up the small applicator who was submerged in a paste, "Is numbweed mixed with a painkiller. So hold still, I don't want to get this all over the place." Leaning in, E'rro applied it on and slightly around K'ian's injury. "Now we wait. As soon as it starts to go numb, tell me."
Using a towel he wiped a small bit of the numbweed off of his finger. "Since your nose was bleeding pretty seriously, it means that a large blood vessel was broken and is now exposed. After I reset your nose, I will use the cautery rod to close the bloodvessels and stop the bleeding. It shouldn't be too painful, not when your nose goes completely numb." Speaking of blood... he folded up a small piece of bandage and pressed it against the hole in his lip. "I'll look at your hand after we get your nose all settled." Removing the gauze from his lip to look at the amount of blood, E'rro sighed and reapplied it. "Doesn't look like you're having a good day at all."

Are you alright? I'm fine, just busted my lip. As per usual, the other guy has it worse. Getting to his feet, the Brownrider closed the five foot distance from where he was to K'ian's side before crouching down. "No one is dying." He produced a thick handkerchief from his pocket. "My blind flit is trapped in a bowl in my locked office. She can't between without help so I was on my way to help her. Let me see your nose." Reaching across and hooking the opposite side of the Bronzerider's chin with two of his fingers, E'rro prompted the man to look at him. He gently touched the side of K'ian's nose briefly and watched how the other man reacted. Well if that didn't look like a broken nose he didn't know what did. The quickly forming bruise above his right eye twinged in sympathy. "Here. It will hurt, but hold this to your nose and look down." He offered the handkerchief to the man. "Bad news, looks like I broke your nose. Good news, I can fix it and give you things to make it feel like it isn't." Sometimes being a Healer had pretty good benefits.
Standing up, E'rro offered his hand to K'ian so the other man could stand up. "Looks like you were going to the Infirmary anyway," He'd noticed that some of the blood on his handrag had started to brown a little. "Guess I'll be skipping my break. Come on. I'll save my flit then get you patched up." He paused. "Oh and, no, you're not going to bleed to death." Once he had his hand back, the Healer wiped the blood from his lip away again. "Remember, pressure and head down." Turning, he made sure K'ian was following him as he lead the way to the Infirmary.
"Oh cool, did you guys have a fight?"
Raising an eyebrow at the apprentices who immediately flocked to them, E'rro shoo'd them away. "No, we had an accident. Get me a cautery rod, fresh cloths and bandages, and numbweed mixed with aconite. And you, find Feather." E'rro tossed the girl the key to his office. "She's the bowl." He showed K'ian where to sit and looked back at the hesitating apprentices. "I know I'm the dragonhealer, but Raebeli isn't here and its my fault this happened, plus I'm not waiting for this to be dealt with, so go." The last word was an audible growl that sent the apprentices flying in all different directions. And it wasn't like he didn't have a Senior Journeyman rank in Healing or anything, he just wasn't allowed to use it often, not that he followed that rule all the time. He turned back to the Bronzerider. "Lets see, has the bleeding stopped?"

Lounging against Nautsk's side with a pillow to cushion his hip, Nautic watched as his daughter twirled and moved her feet to the music. Every time she strayed too close the Wherhandler would pretend to try and catch her, causing the girl to giggle and bounce away. Four turns. It was hard to believe that they had all been together for only four turns. For Nautic it felt as if their large family had been together forever. When Eikane stopped playing the harp he caught his eye returning the glance with a smile. Although he wasn't too keen on Eikask's attitude toward their daughter, the Greenhandler so far didn't see any need to be worried. He trusted both Eikane and Nautsk to help keep the Gold all calm and he knew that Einata had figured out that it was best to keep her distance when the other female was grumpy.
Holding his arms out as Einata flopped down onto his lap at the end of the song, Nautic proceeded to fix one of the ribbons in her hair. Eying Eikask momentarily as he did so. Nautsk on the other hand bent her head around to nuzzle the little girlchild. She agreed, she was a very good dancer indeed. The Green took on a very different stance than her Goldsister and simply adored Einata, she wasn't jealous because she new Nautic loved with all his heart. Nautic rested his chin on Einata's head with a smile. "Oh a trip? That sounds wonderful. Where to?"
--
Giggling, Einata made a little curtsy as the song ended. She loved her Papa's music because it was always so pretty and sometimes she pretended he played only for her. She flopped down onto her Daddy's lap, "Nooo. Jealous of me? Nuhuh. Not when you can play the harp so pretty. I could never play like that." Rubbing Nautsk's eye-ridge as she stuck her head into her lap, the six year old mimicked the little sounds the Green made. At least until her Papa mentioned something about a trip. Now normally, when either of her parents brought up good news, Einata would bounce out from wherever she was and cling to them, but for now she was solidly stuck where she was.
"A trip! Oh papa lets go, huh? I want to go." She wiggled when Nautic rested his chin on her head. " Yeah, where will we go? Can we have a snow day? I want to have a snowball fight!" She had only been to the snow once, but that was when she had been three and she was all grown up now. Although winter wasn't her favorite time of year, she still wanted to experience all the cold weather fun that she could have. "Can we, huh?! Pleaaaaaasseee?"

Welcome to the Selenitas Infirmary, where everything smells like healing herbs.
Unlike previous turns, this healing center is never short staffed. Apprentices and interns of all ages come to learn and practice both the healing arts under the tutelage of Selenitas's Weyrhealer and Dragonhealer.
So, lets explain a little about what each branch of healing does.
-Healing, the humanoid way:
WeyrHealer: Senior Journeyman Raebeli of Green Quixoth
People who choose this branch of the healing profession will find themselves involved with the multitude of injuries, sicknesses, or mental illness that plague the Pernese People. Whether it’s a burn, scrape, break, or some horrible progressive disease, its more than likely these people will know how to cure you. If its treatable of course. Healing can take an entire lifetime to learn, but if you’re willing to put up with the sometimes terrible hours, getting barfed and bled on and having to clean out bed pans… well, you’re obviously committed to learning. During Threadfall, Raebeli will be the attending Healer in Charge.
-Dragonhealing, name appropriate:
WeyrDragonhealer: E'rro of Brown Ismaroth
Now, as the name implies, this branch of Healing treats those of the Dragon lineage. Whether it be a Dragon, wher, flitter or Salamandyr. These people know the ins and the outs of just how these guys work. Like normal Healing, Dragonhealing can also take a life time to learn, each and every new recruit starting at the lowest level of apprenticeship unless there are unusual circumstances. Most notably, previous training. Plus, Dragonhealing can ONLY be learned by apprenticing at a Weyr. Usually, there is a Dragonhealer on hand at every Dragon or Wher hatching, in case they are needed for on the site treatment. Currently in thread fall, E'rro will be the attending Dragonhealer in charge.
Interns/Apprentices:
These people come directly from the Healer Hall in the far North, willingly or less so. Although Selenitas has a cap on how many we have, there will never be a moment in the Infirmary where a patient can not find one. According to E'rro, who is not used to having so many at hand, they are like gnats who are five times as difficult to get rid of.
Depending on their official Rank or skill set, each apprentice or intern is given chores that closely mimic what skills they need to improve on. The more experienced you are, the better jobs you get.
Hours and Appointments:
Being fully staffed finally gives the Healers in Charge a break from long, exhausting hours. You can find their availability below, not accounting for small breaks and the times when they will be in their offices doing paperwork.
Monday - Thursday:
- E'rro: 8am -12pm, 1pm -6pm - Raebeli: 8am -12pm, 1pm -6pm
Friday
-E'rro: 6am -12pm, 1:30pm -7pm -Raebeli: 7am -12pm, 1:30pm -7pm
Saturday/Sunday:
No hours scheduled. (Available for personal appointments)
* Individual appointments may be made at anytime during the day. After hours appointments for E'rro and Raebeli must be scheduled in advance.
** Both Healers in Charge are on Call. If an emergency occurs either one or both will be notified via Flitter or Dragon.
--- Specialties:
Deep Tissue/Bone Injuries (Dragonhealing)- SJ E'rro Mindhealing - SJ Raebeli
(E'rro is also a specialist in Pediatrics, but is 'legally' only able to practice when no one else can handle it.)

Mine? Yes? Feather is stuck in a pot… again. One would think that after turns of being blind, that his flit would have realized that his large pot of cotton was /not/ a good place to sleep. Normally he wouldn't be in such a hurry but no one in the infirmary was able to get into his office, only he and Raebeli had a key and she wasn't on shift today. Plus his schedule was completely full with wing trainings and infirmary shifts, so he only had a few hours of free time which he didn't really want to spend rescuing his Green from a cotton prison. How did she even get there in the first place! Sometimes he almost wished he could order Nuisance to keep an eye on Feather but he couldn't. He already stretched the Blue's favor by asking if he'd watch her when they were together. It wouldn't do to be in Nui's debt. His mandyr might act silly but behind that exterior is a sneaky little creature who'd collect on that debt.
Sighing as he literally leaped over a random ass chest being moved from one place to another, he yelled at the people moving it to hurry up. Having lived at New Selenitas for over six turns, the Healer knew almost every passageway, hallway and corner in the place. But even the knowledge that the next bend was a blind corner didn’t stop him from taking the corner at a jog and...
SLAM.
Falling back onto his ass like the suave person he was, the Brownrider made an unsightly noise before exclaiming, "Well fuck! Arrggh… Sorry. My fault." By the first egg and all that was Dragonborn, his face felt like he had slammed it into a wall. He rarely experienced this sudden shock of pain outside practice fighting so it took him a few moments to recover. Putting a shirt sleeve to his mouth to stop the blood flowing freely from his lip, E'rro glanced up to see who exactly he had run into. And of course it was K'ian. Farnath only knew that it would be that particular Bronzer he had to slam his forehead into. The Brownrider grimaced as he noticed the other man was bleeding from his nose… a lot.

Inanae
May 8, 2012 0:38:34 GMT -5
Post by Tashe on May 8, 2012 0:38:34 GMT -5
Name: Inanae (In-na-nay) Age: 3 Gender: Female Sexual Orientation: N/A Rank: Weyrbrat Birthday: May 5, 3020 Parents: Kaegan of Millieth x K'ian of RomeothSiblings: Kai, RanthianPhysical Appearance: Inanae is neither short nor tall for her age, but is perfectly suited to her adorableness. She has a chubby heart shaped face, pouty pink lips and a small little nose. Her eyes are a darkish grey right now, but they will lighten up to a greyish green as she gets older, slightly shifting between the two depending on the type of light she's in. Her resemblance to Kaegan is apparent in her over all look, in her gingery red hair and her paleish completion. Currently her hair is straight but will eventually pull up into a wave, and on humid or foggy days it will curl a lot at the tips. This will also happen if she falls asleep with wet hair. Her eyelashes and eyebrows match the color of her hair and her brows tend to be more straight than arched. Inanae likes to wear dresses and skirts, but she also really likes to wear shorts. Pants have not yet found their way into her wardrobe. She likes jewelry and flowers, so naturally she loooves to put on jewelry in the shape of flowers. Inanae likes pink and blue, so most of her favorite clothing is one or the other, sometimes even both. She also likes sandals over boots and flats over little heels. Unlike some of the girls her age, she doesn't like to dress up and pretend to be Ladies. But she does like to carry around a little stuffed kitten, something her brother gave to her for her Turnday. Personality: Inanae quiet, but not shy. She doesnft talk too much unless she has something to say, or is babbling on to her mommy and daddy. Most of the time she can be found with the ear of her kitty toy in her mouth watching everything, a hand always gasping the pant/skirt fabric of the nearest parent so shefs not separated from them. Generally, she is a happy child, always smiling and always cheerful. Inanae is also very generous for a toddler, always offering to share her toys or snacks with Kai and her other friends. She tends to play with girls more than boys, but doesnft turn down offers when they are made. She looks up to Kai just like she looks up to her daddy, and she loves her half-brother Ranthian as well, so boys arenft a problem for her. She doesnft throw tantrums, but she does tend to go into little sadness fits, pouting and somber for the rest of the day until someone finds a way to cheer her up. Inanae does get angry though when people steal her toys or whatever else she has, because her mommy always asks before she takes something. Well, unless shefs in trouble, then her mommy takes away kitty without telling her. When shefs mad, Inanae cries, and she will immediately try to take back whatever was stolen from her. Shefs not afraid of most things, but there are a few things she hates. Spiders, are one, and the monsters who live in the closet and under her bed. They are scary and mean, and she wished they would go away. Although not correlated, Inanae gets nightmares easily especially if shefs had a bad day or is sick, and will often crawl into bed with her mommy or her daddy (even Kai sometimes) to make her feel safe. History: Inanae was conceived when her mommyfs eMandyr chased another eMandyr. Normally Kaegan would have gone Between after a Run but the very next day she fell and broke her arm, restricting her from jumping. When she got the cast off, the Goldrider found out she was pregnant and because of her holder background, she didnft abort the baby. Inanae was born in May of 3020. She grew up happily in the care of both her mommy and her daddy, though they didnft live in the same place. She didnft mind much, not when she was loved so much. Though she liked staying with her mommy more, because Kai was there and all her stuffed animals. She was born in a time of peace, knowing nothing about war and fighting, busying herself with toys and pretty things. And in 3023 when her half-brother Ranthian came into her life, she didnft know what to think at first, but soon grew to love him just like Kai. [ ã ] By checking this box, I am saying that I have read the Rules and History, and will follow them.

Someone jumped the stands and then all sorts of trouble broke loose. Beware a trained fighter who is upset, for Caden moved faster than E'rro, then again he was on the opposite side of the sands. Isma. Holding up a hand to still the Legatus members in attendance, he listened to Nitrath's request. Quickly he flashed a series of hand signals to K'sel telling him to get himself onto the railing near Cainith and wait. The Brownrider didn't want to disobey the Gold, but now that the Queenrider was involved, it was their duty to do something.
Nitrath, Legatus wishes to interceed to help with the prevention of violence. Mine offers his riders to escort the Wherhandler off of the Sands. His Whermaster is being contacted.
Jogging quickly over to Erilena and the injured boy, he squated down by his uninjured side (ignoring the dog but keeping his side towards it) and looked at the bandaging. "Hey congradulations on the impression, I'm E'rro." He said to the boy and his Dragon. "Eri go ahead and leave the sands. I'll get him to the infirmary, not really time for getting the stretcher I'd say." He looked back to the boy. "I'm going to carry you out. My assistants are waiting outside with a stretcher. Don't worry, we'll get food so you can feed your new mind mate there. Now, if you'll put your arm around my neck and hold that bandage with the other..." Didn't wait more than a few seconds before slipping an arm around the boys back and under his knees, lifting him up. "Hup." As he paced out to the entrance and the awaiting stretcher, Ismaroth remained in contact with Petta and Kyr.
Once K'nale was settled, jogged across the walkway in the stands to join K'sel, making eye contact with A'emi who was nearby. Leaning against the railing he eyed the situation. "Wherhandler, you are not allowed on the sands. Candidates will not leave the sands until the end of the hatching, and your presence does nothing either way for her chances to Impress. In fact, your actions have placed you in a serious amount of trouble." He glanced at Caden. "Weyrwoman, I do not believe this man is here to harm the eggs. By your leave, Legatus will escort him from the hatching arena and hand him over to Councilman Eikane to deal with."

I think we should help mother out. "No. You are not going anywhere near that mess. Let the Riders handle it. You are about one sixtyith the size of your Mother, she does not need help." The Blue twitched his tail as he accepted more meat. Fine. But one day I will be stronger. Raylanne sighed and glanced at K'dem. "Well, we now are Riders too... are we not supposed to wait for the Weyrling ... master..." She watched as the young man started to walk away. Let us go. They do not need us here. "I guess we could wait in the Weyrling common rooms..." She glanced at Rosanna. "Well I suppose I will go as well, since Adanth wants to."
The little Blue cast his mind out to his brothers and sisters in the immediate area. We will be going to the place we will be living, join us if you wish. Have your humans bring meat. Standing up, he trotted along side His as she also moved to avoid the small pocket of chaos.

It is the company one keeps in these times of merriment that makes the event. Crooning he watched as the little Blue Impressed to one of their Healers, and the Greens impress to a young man and woman. So we do, indeed Pettahth. Not like they didn't meet at least three times a week for wing training.
E'rro did not want to move around the sands if he could help it, not with the Junior Weyrwoman looking as she did. So his eyes scanned back and forth over the candidates whenever one was knocked down or a stray claw flashed in the dim light, if they weren't bleeding profusely they would be okay to finish the hatching. As far as he could tell, there where only scratches and some puncture marks, nothing too bad. Which was really actually very good. Either way the Councilman stood ready to aid whoever needed it.

Istarith. Adanth shifted his tail slightly as his other sister joined them. Only a little. But the ones who you do not work for are rarely worth your time. The Blue rumbled as he enjoyed himself. Raylanne on the other hand jumped slightly when the little Green spoke to her, the Healer was still getting used to having one voice in her head so two was a bit unsettling. Though Istarith sounded polite enough about the intrusion (how did she know the Green's name?) "It is alright, I am Raylanne." She glanced at the newest addition to their little group. "Hello."
" Look, we are missing the choosings of our kin. The Blue spread a wing out towards their now hatched clutchmates. Even pretty Eldath has chosen. I would have expected him to take a far longer time.

Undetered by not getting a response from the Goldierider, Kai was more than happy to watch and babble on. "Look Cadie! Two greens!" A few minutes later, "Three Greens and... two Blues and a Brown!" The young boy leaned a little father through the slats in the railing. "Aren't there 'sposed to be Bronzeies? Maybe the Bronzeies are shy!" He giggled. "Shy bronzies, shy bronzies and not shy Greenies!" He paused in his bouncing to look at Caden. "Cadie, cadie, do you think I will get a draagon somedaay? When they aren't so scary? My Dragon won't be scary!" Vain hissed at the idea of sharing his human with anyone else.
"Kai, don't lean too far out, you'll fall."
Kaegan was letting the boys deal with Caden's nerves, although she thought it was best to leave the poor girl alone now that they had voiced their opinions. At least about the whole, the eggs will be safe thing. Distract her with something else. She glanced up at Millieth who hadn't moved at all since she had gotten there. Perhaps it was surreal for her to be watching her daughter's hatching.
Millieth shuffled her wings before touching base with Nitrath, asking her how she was fairing. She didn't want to intrude too much, in fact she probably wouldn't attend another of the Gold's hatchings after this, unless specifically asked to do so.

As Raylanne manipulated a knife with disturbing precision Adanth tapped his tail against the ground and simply observed. His attention was only broken when His offered him meat pieces. Look Raylanne, two of my sisters have hatched. The Blue watched as his Human repositioned herself so she could watch the hatching AND feed him at the same time. He did not speak of his appreciation but he knew that Raylanne could sense it. The male continued to watch his sisters until each of them Impressed wherein he turned his head to take a piece of meat. Adanth pretend to be incredibly interested in the meat so as to appear unaware of the Greens' approach. The Blue was chewing dutifully when his name was spoken. Ah, Taarith. Adanth turned a swirling eye to her. You Impressed at last I see. I wondered to myself what took you so long. His gaze moved to her Human. He has... appeal I suppose. Was he hiding from you?
Not like His hadn't been near the back of the crowd as well. Mine. "Yes?" Mine, this is Taarith, and her Human. The Healer looked up from the piece of meat she was holding, "Kidem right? I am Raylanne, if you don't remember. I would shake your hand but..." She lifted the knife and meat slightly. "And this is Adanth." She tossed him a piece and watched as he caught it midair.
Will you eat with me? The Blue spoke to Taarith again. Or shall you wait for dear Istarith to arrive?
