Okay guys! UPDATE for all you who are coming back occasionally to check. Whitey and I have recruited a few peeps to be mods and we've begun compiling data from old sel (here) to new Sel (on jcink), Whitey and I have Admin access to here now and it will be easier for us to get everything transferred over.
I'll post occasional updates on our progress. Once Sel 3.0 is finished we will access the emailing list from here and send out a member wide email about its launch.
Keep tuned!

Hey guys!
Update:
We're talking with the old admins about a few things that we need to get permission on. Life and other RP commitments have been making our plottings go slower than we'd like.
Check back every now and again for more updates. <333
I love you all.

"Ah, yes, well. Serissa then." Raylanne it always felt odd to call someone by their name if they had a well earned title to go with it, especially since Serissa had received Mastership at a relatively young age. The Bluerider was only a few turns younger than the Greenhandler but she still didn't expect to be tapped for Mastery for at least three turns. She might have walked the tables at fifteen for the first leg of her Journeymanship but the war had messed up her timing. "Yes, I'm quite familiar with the conceived and literal associations with the term. Working with the brothels have been very informative." Crossing her legs Raylanne smoothed out the fabric of her trousers, only vaguely aware of Serissa's primping and posturing. "Water, if you have it." She paused. "Please."
At the questioning, Raylanne folded her hands neatly in her lap and closed her eyes briefly, using a moment of time to recall what would be important to speak of. "Bitra has been... an unique experience. Originally I choose assignment there because Adanth wanted to live in a location that would both benefit both his and my talents. Over the time I have living there it has been made clear to me that the inhabitants of Bitra consider me to be, as they say, 'their' Dragonrider. Most of the commoner class treat any other Dragonrider who visits with hostility. And even the wealthier of the population prefer my company over that of other Riders. They do not like Inverness at all." She shifted slightly as if trying to find the words. "Its quite... interesting. I assume it is due to my relative indifference to whom I treat and why they are there so long as they cannot be called a murderer and are in need of medical assistance."
"As you know, Bitra proper is currently profiting from the Summit's changes to the governing laws. But the surrounding cotholds and small outliers are still strife with lawlessness and are destitute. I have been focusing the team there on working with the villages outside of the main Hold. I have helped set up a rotating shift and a messenger system for fast and easy access to Healers. I myself am currently in the Hold proper helping to run a... well, I wouldn't call it free because nothing is free in Bitra... a relatively cheap clinic. The Master there tends to the Higher profile clients at a different location." Raylanne steepled her fingers and touched her chin. "I preform basic health exams for the commonwealth, and have become... popular as a Healer among the prostitutes, and they make up a large portion of my regular patients." She glanced up from the edge of the table, her eyes glinting slightly. "And, when the need arises I assist the Holdguard with identifying murder victims and accessing how they died, if it is not immediately apparent." She smiled past her fingers. "And I am finalizing two of my papers, of which I hope to present to the board of Masters before the end of the turn. The first on wartime medical issues and the second on the structural damage of bone as affected through environmental degradation."
"And as for Adanth, he is fine. He enjoys stopping thieves and lawbreakers far too much for his own good. I have oft stopped him from exacting his own form of justice on the criminals so that the Guardsmen can process them." Raylanne played idly with the roughly made wire bracelet she wore. "As far as his Health is concerned he is showing no signs of illness or negative reactions to his continual growth. I have recently measured him. He has grown a foot since the last turn. Adanth has approached just above average size for a Blue. Both he and I share the thought that he may never stop actually growing. My estimation is that he will surpass the largest recorded size for a Blue in near about three or four turns. His growth seems to be slowing, but only fractionally."

Is it not a wonderful day to be out, Mine? Adanth, who was quite happy to take a break from Bitra for a week, purposefully jostled his Rider to roust her from her thoughts. I said, is it not a wonderful day to be out? It is a like any other day in spring. I don't see why you are so happy to be out and about. While you are in your meetings and your conferences, I will be socializing with the other Dragons who have Healers for partners. It will be a change of pace. Landing with the utmost effeciency, Adanth flopped down to allow Raylanne to slid off. Just call me when you are done for the day, I will not be far. Once his human was clear, the large Blue stepped away and launched himself into the air. He was happy that they had had time to go flying before His had to start her day, he knew she was and would be very busy for a while so it meant a lot that she made time for him.
After adjusting her coat the Journeywoman fiddled with the strap of her bag, she wasn't trying to stall but she wasn't looking forward to heading into the meeting either. While necessary and practical the annual meetings were not her favorite time of the Turn... on the other hand she was looking forward to the presentations and lectures that some of the Masters and forerunners in certain fields were going to put on. She herself was going to speak on one of her papers that had been published, but it was going to be a small affair and did not expect more than a smattering of people to be in attendance. It was a very specific topic and the target audience was small. Deciding that she couldn't dawdle about for much longer, Raylanne made her way into the building in which the first of her personal meetings would take place.
Navigating her way through the halls, the Bluerider managed to locate someone who could tell her where Serissa's office was. She briskly waved the Apprentice off once he was done telling her and moved quietly down the path she'd been told. Listening for the sounds of conversation before knocking on the door, Raylanne made certain that she would not be intruding on a meeting that had run long before opening the door. At least she had been assigned a meeting with a Master she'd worked with before. It was always so difficult to handle dealing with new people, most often they found her odd and tried to do things as quickly as possible. "Hello. I hope I'm not late." She knew for a fact she was right on time, but Adanth had told her saying things like that made her sound more approachable. "I'm Senior Journeyman Raylanne of Blue Adanth, we have a meeting scheduled."
Placing her bag next to the empty chair the Bluerider sat down with a quiet sigh but offered a small smile. "Its nice to see you again Master Serissa." Another thing Adanth had recommended saying.

With a warm smile she put her hand up with a small wave. "Well if you insist on apologizing, you're forgiven. Please, call me Kaegan, or Weyrwoman if you prefer to stick with titles. Though I can count on a hand the amount of people who actually address me as Weyrwoman consistently. Not even the Inverness Weyrleader calls me Weyrwoman." But she wasn't about to let on they were practically best friends and he hadn't called her anything else since they became friends. She liked it when the regular populous addressed her by name, it usually meant they were comfortable with her being around, and a Weyr who liked their Weyrwoman was more than likely to be extremely loyal to her. Kaegan needed the Weyr to continue to acknowledge her orders over that of her new Junior Weyrwoman. When had she become so bitter? Ah well, it was better to plan a head than be sorry later.
Clearing her throat, the red headed woman showed the Brownrider her arms. "No harm done. Even if a little had gotten on me I've had worse burns." With a toothy grin Kaegan winked at I'nos. "Anyway as I've been abandoned by my oh-so-chatty compatriot, I'm in need of a new dinning companion. Would you be willing to let me join you? If you want you can think of it as paying me back for bumping into me." Truthfully, she didn't want to have to eat alone. It was the first time in a week or so that she had been able to rope her favorite crechewoman Miraed into watching her children and was in sore need of adult conversation. More particularly someone who she didn't see every single day, like K'ian or any of her Wingleaders.

"I don't think that is a good idea. I still require your discretion in this matter, I don't need to remind you how important this is." Leveling her gaze at the man she was with, Kaegan perked her eyebrow before smiling. E'rro of Ismaroth had been one of her most loyal riders, she counted him among the few she could trust to do whatever was needed to ensure the safety of Selenitas.
"Of course Weyrwoman, it was merely a suggestion."
"Good. Now, how is your proposal for the Summit going?" Even over the cacophony of sounds and chatter in the dining hall, the Goldrider was able to hear most of what her current companion was saying. It seemed as E'rro had it nearly completed and was a few days from being ready for review. Petting the little Bronze head that butted against her cheek Kaegan momentarily let her mind drift to thoughts about the Weyrleader trials. While she had heard rumors of who was planning on joining the trials to represent Selenitas she hadn't gotten an exact list. While she was enjoying the current dynamics, Kaegan worried about who would win the trials. Some of the contestants she knew were entering were not her first choice in possible colleagues.
"Whoa!" Startled out of her musing as E'rro pulled her toward him at the same time she felt something run into her back, the Weyrwoman blinked and glanced up at the Brownrider before looking over her shoulder.
--
"Are you alright Weyrwoman?" Releasing her arm E'rro took a step back with a sigh. "You should be more aware," He paused as he recognized the other person, "as should you I'nos, especially with hot liquids." Once he was assured that Kaegan was fine he excused himself from her company with a nod to her and the other Brownrider.
--
"I'nos, was it?" She asked as E'rro left, turning to face the other rider with a smile. "Its fine, no need to apologize, but is your hand okay?" With two children (often three when Ranthian was around) the art of spilling a drink without getting it on others was not unknown to her. Unfortunately the downside was that you sometimes got the drink on yourself instead. Kaegan adjusted her hair as her Firelizard shifted positions, choosing to curl around her neck to better watch the Brownrider.

Oh yes, this is what you get to look forward to. With Behruth flopped on top of him, the larger Brown shifted around so they were both comfortable. Ah, just the company of a good friend. Ismaroths are easily pleased dragons.
"True, its nice." Most of the time. They kept most of the same hours so while they did see each other everyday they didn't have very long to really be around one another due to work or lessons. E'rro let M'ta's nudge unbalance him and slid into the chair backward. "Yeah, well you should be glad its illegal or whatever, even after five years I still find the apprentices they send me annoying." He toyed with an end of a string on his shirt. "Oh that reminds me, we'll be bringing up some of the restrictions on Healers to the Summit in hopes they will agree to taking some of the sticks out of their asses. I'm really going to push for allowing dual healing again."
"That sounds like a lot of work. I'm sure Ria will like it though, he'll appreciate the stories and remedies." E'rro hoped to be around long enough to see Riaren come back to apprentice at Selenitas, if he even wanted to come back that is. Truly it was weird not having the kid around. Clearing his throat he rolled his head to the side to look at his friend and shrugged. "I don't know. We could play chess, or do something else... not terribly picky about it, I just didn't want to be alone with only Isma and Nui for company."

"You're still Weyrleader right? Does that mean you snuck out again?" While Kai sounded accusational, he actually thought being rebellious was pretty cool. If he could get over his thing with dragons and impress a Bronze, he'd become a Weyrleader and do things like that. "We've been okay. I started advanced maths recently, but I hate it. I like writing a lot better. This last week Mom's been taking me with her when she visits the Holds, so I get to play with some of the kids there. We went to Southern today, it was pretty fun. Anyways I'll go get mom!" Hightailing it back toward the door Kai glanced back once before he was swallowed by the shaded hallway. Once in the apartment he imedietly ducked to avoid the Blue flit who tried to land on his head and trotted up to the Weyrwoman with a smile. "C'mon mom. Ce'thian brought us presents so I came to get you cause he said it would be polite." Kai grabbed Kaegan's hand and practically tried to drag her out onto the weyrledge as Master landed on his shoulder with a peevish chirp.
--
"Okay, okay. I'm coming." Hand in hand with her son the Goldrider let herself be guided outside. Shading her eyes from Rukbat so they could adjust to the light she let Kai go to raise her now free hand in greeting. It had been a while since they last saw Ce'thian, not that she was at all surprised due to his position, so it was nice that he could find some time to visit especially since she couldn't reciprocate. When riding a Gold you had a limited amount of space in which you could travel without getting chastised. "Hello Ce'thian. Its nice to see you." Taking care to give Ce'thian a side hug so he didn't have to put Inanae down she smiled before stepping away to wave at Sparath. "So I've been informed you've come to spoil my kids more." Kaegan put a hand on Kai's head when he flashed her a grin. "Well, once you're done I've got some food and drink inside, you've shown up just in time for snacks."
--
Millieth lifted her head up as the children wondered onto the Weyrledge, watching them to make sure they didn't do anything terribly silly in which she'd have to save them. Hmm that seems like an average day to me. She flicked her tail at Sparath. But I suppose I could hear it again if you would like to regale me with praise. Her mind voice was accented with a yawn. I'd much rather hear how you're getting on with Baith. She held little love for her dam, yet she did not despise her. It was more amusing that Sparath had caught Baith than anything else.

Oh. Sparath. Its just you. The golden Queen made her greeting as monotonous as possible. Here I thought one of my admirers had come to visit. Despite aiming a snort at the Bronze, Millieth stretched and moved over so that there was space for the male to land. She was used to these visits, long ago finding out Sparath would simply bother her until she made room for him. Your timing is impeccable, we have just returned from meeting with the Lord from Southern. Mine is free for most of the afternoon and I'm confident the little ones would be happy to see Yours. Inwardly she nudged Kaegan letting her know Ce'thian was about to drop by. Resting her jaw against her wrists, Millieth watched as Sparath landed. She rumbled at Ce'thian in a friendly way as he addressed her, giving the impression she agreed with him.
Today had been relatively easy as far as check ups went, if there was one Hold she had very little problems with at all it would have to be Southern. Next to Blossom it was the one she had a positive bias toward. She enjoyed her meetings with Rocest and Asmorn as they always actually seemed genuinely happy to spend time with her. Massaging her had after putting away her pencil she was in the midst of shaking it out when Millieth announced the arrival of the Inverness Weyrleader. Well, her life was founded on surprises wasn't it. While she would have liked a heads up there wasn't any vexation felt on her half. "Kiddo's we've got a visitor, they're out on the ledge if you wanna say hi." It wasn't very often that Kaegan encouraged her kids to run off to greet a visitor, so when she did they knew it was someone they would probably want to see. The Brown Salamandyr who had been balancing on the back of her chair chirped as she got up, wanting her to take him with her. She put an arm out for Dash to scamper up before making her way over to the living room to greet Ce'thian when he made it past her kids.
--
"C'mon Inanae, lets go see who it is." Helping his sister down off of the couch Kai trotted out toward the opening that lead to the weyrledge, all the while making sure the toddler was still following him. Once they were out on the ledge itself he grabbed his sister's hand so she wouldn't wonder off. "Hey Ce'thian! Didn't know you were visiting." While he didn't really want to get any closer to Sparath Inanae wanted to go to the Bronzerider, plus Millieth was there so he felt a little more reassured with the Gold watching them. His sister didn't have the reservations he had about Dragons, she would climb all over them if they let her. Kai shuffled forward with a smile.
"Unkie Thian!" Inanae broke free of her brother's grasp to cover the last five feet that was left between them and the man. "Hihi! Hi Spara!" She waved at the Bronze as she gripped Ce'thian's pant leg before reaching upward. "Up, up!"

"Mooooom. They're heeeerre." Lifting his head off of the couch slightly he looked for Kaegan to see if she was close by. "Mooooom." A yell from the other room told him to open it, causing him to groan. "Sorry Master and Azzie." To successfully get up off the couch he had to slide his Firelizard off of his chest and onto his shoulder, and pick up his mother's Bronze and place him on the back rest. At least Dash was off with Kaegan, he almost always forgot about the Salamandyr when they were all cuddled together. He took so long about getting up by the time he reached the door he could hear his mom walk into the room. Pulling the door open he glanced between the two visitors before nodding his head at the other boy. "Hey Ranthian." He motioned for them to follow him in and narrowly avoided running into Kaegan as she opened the door wider. "I got a new pair of wooden swords, wanna see them?" He ignored Master as the Blue protested not being the center of Kai's attention.
---
"Open the door Kai!" She had finally managed to finish getting Inanae dressed for the day, her bath had been long and harrowing as the toddler had definitely not wanted to take one. "Come on Nani, lets go see who's at the door. I wonder if its for you?" Picking her daughter up with a little spin, she chuckled as Inanae giggled and clung to her neck. There were times she missed when Kai was this young. If she could, she would have liked to raise him without every thing he went through, so he could have had a childhood like Inanae. While Kai said he didn't care that he didn't have a dad, she still felt bad that K'roi had passed away before he was old enough to know him. The Goldrider tickled the toddler's stomach before walking out into the livingroom just in time to see her son being lazy.
Rolling her eyes Kaegan shifted Inanae around so she had a free arm and walked over to the door, she opened it wider and made sure to cluck at Kai when he didn't greet K'ian. But even she was beaten to the point.
"PAPA! RANIE!" Inanae bounced happily and reached out for K'ian, her little hands making grabbing motions at the Bronzerider.
"Oh my. Hello, hello. Please come in. Okay Nani give us a second. You can hug daddy in a minute." Moving out of the way so they could come in she watched as Kai shuffled toward the table to wait for Ranthian, she waited until everyone was inside before shutting the door. Kaegan had to once again shift a very wiggly Inanae around so she wouldn't drop her.
"Hi! Hi papa!"

So it seems as though we're slowly and painfully dying...
I suggest everyone save their characters on their computer. I just did and they take up 47 pages in word at 8 point font single spaces.
I miss you all. <3 I wish we could be all active again.
