"I wish Rajnith luck in trying to get Viveth into her group, let alone a stable conversation from him." He chuckled, gathering cups and tea pouches from their homes. "Quixote? Cool name." Pacing over to the fire, he swung the kettle hook over the fire to start boiling the water. "Its fine. I don't mind at all. My pets are used to flits so they won't bother him." He hadn't had a firelizard since Leifa, never really finding a desire to replace her. Well, perhaps replace was the wrong word. Cups and saucers were placed on the table around the fruits as well as little spoons and a small sugar pot. "Time change is awful, but fortunately we don't have to travel back and forth like some merchants do. I always wonder how they can do that so often." When everything was set in place E'iah took a seat next to Tenlie, patting his lap to get Rishin to move a little closer so he too could give her a pet or two.
"Oh, no." He chuckled. "If I only had secret marriage prospects. All the women my parents are trying to make me court seriously are all too well known." Sigh. "Of course, I'm the blacksheep of the family so none of the nice crafter and merchant's daughters appeal to me. But, I'm to be polite and ask them to parties and dinners all the same." Shifting slightly he snagged a fruit from the plate. "Pineapple right? I don't think I've ever had one. Candied or no." He tried it, making a pleased noise as he chewed. "Though I suppose, there is truth in having secret partners. I am seeing someone, though they don't make their home here in Hyphen. I don't suppose you know Vivano of Vivask?"
Scooting forward he placed the tea pouches in the teacups before getting up to get the water. "I've not told them, its not a terribly serious thing we have. Not something that couldn't easily be hidden." With a mitt, he poured the water onto the tea pouches filling both cups up before replacing it on the kettle hook. "Plus, Mother would despair and Father disapprove. They already don't like the fact I'm a Dragonrider. Apparently it makes it hard to find a wife... I don't need more drama." He sighed and sat back down. "Even after these last few turns, I still see the huge differences between Holdfolk and Weyrfolk." E'iah crossed his legs, with an awkward laugh. "Sorry. Didn't mean to ramble on about my family problems." Another piece of fruit disappeared, though half of it went to Rishin. "So, ah... You moved in a few days ago? Do you like your new place?"

Although his parents lived in the inner city near all the nobles, and had offered to rent him out part of the house, E'iah had chosen to live in a more enjoyable environment. When he was reassigned to Hyphen, the Bluerider had immediately insisted on living on his own and had quickly and efficiently procured a place that suited both his wishes and his families. Near the west edge of the hold proper was a bakery run by a kind old woman and her family, whose bread and other pastries were sold cheaply and were pretty much to die for. In exchange for a modest price, as well as working in the bakery once or twice a week for a few hours, E'iah got to occupy the upper story of the shoppe. Although since Viveth couldn't fit in his new home with him, he had to loan some money from his parents to build the Dragon his very own place to live. The Bluerider's lodgings included a small living room, and two bedrooms. One of which he had converted to a workshop for his Woodcrafting. He shared a bathroom with the other second floor tenant (the woman's nephew), but he didn't mind that all too much. They often had different schedules and rarely ever needed the bathroom at the same time. The Gaurdsman was always neat and tidy, he was also was a nice guy, which helped them get along.
As of this very moment, E'iah was slumped over his worktable trying not to zone out as his father lectured him for the 50th time about keeping his workspace clean. Cleaning it twice a day obviously wasn't good enough if Elizzian could find a small deposit of wood dust in some random corner. Oh my, what if some potential client came in and looked into that corner and saw some dust! Chaos, disaster. It would be the end of the world. Or so his father made it sound like. Clients are your life, the motto that E'iah always had to bite back responses to. Woodcrafting wasn't his life's priority, Dragonriding was. But he wasn't about to fight with the man who was not only one of his sources of pay, but also the MasterWoodcrafter assigned to Hyphen. Picking himself up and straightening his green vest, he convinced his dad he needed time to work on his projects and he was only preventing him from doing it. Well that and he was expecting company. But he didn't elaborate much on the matter even when pressed.
Opening the door so his father could exit, both of the men stopped moving so as not to run into the woman outside his door. Elizzian turned to his son and gave him a look, one that asked him who this was and also conveyed that they would now have to speak later on this. The older man glanced momentarily at the woman before turning to his son with a "I will see you tomorrow," and pleasantly excused himself from their company. The look in his father's eye concerned the Bluerider immensely. Now the whole family would know a mysterious woman came to call at his home. With a sigh, he turned to give a proper look at the woman. There was immediate recognition, not a strange mysterious woman at all. "Tenlie? Wow. Hi." He recovered quickly, opening his door and stepping aside to make room. "Come in, please. Take a seat. Don't mind the furballs sleeping in front of the fire." Koulko was resting in the armchair while Rishin was snoozing in front of the couch and coffeetable.
Closing the door once the Greenrider had entered, E'iah fiddled with one of his earrings before talking again. "I'd heard that we'd gotten a new watchrider but I didn't know who till I got your message about coming over. It will be nice to have another rider around. Holders are nice and all, but they don't understand what its like to have a Dragon attached to your mind. Plus Viveth should be happy that its one of his clutchmates and not a complete stranger." By this time, Rishin had woken up and was enthusiastically investigating Ten's shoes. "That's Rishin, she's friendly. And that black blob of fur and eyes is Koulko. If you're lucky he may deign to let you pet him." Smiling he paced over to where the other rider had settled herself. "Can I get you anything? I have drinks... though its mainly wine, tea, and Klah." He paused. "Oh, by the way, the man that left here was my father. I should warn you that my entire family will now gossip about a pretty woman coming over to visit." He laughed slightly. "I'll make sure to straighten it out tomorrow. My mother will be crushed to learn you're not a secret marriage prospect I've been hiding from the family because of some reason or another."

E'rro scrunched his nose as she tapped it, shifting slightly he focused his attention onto Raebeli's face as she spoke. He let the hand he had been using to comb through her hair settle around her waist so that he could twine his fingers together creating a circle out of his arms. Letting his head settle back against the chair he looked momentarily thoughtful. "Then you would be the first in a very long time to have successfully caught me." It was said in a very matter of fact voice, but there was an undertone of teasing running beneath the comment. The Brownrider smiled as she leaned in awfully close, restraining himself, for now.
"But if you were my captor, I do not think I would want to seek out freedom." He followed the retreat of her head with the advance of his own. They were once again in that dangerous area. So close was he that the side of his nose touched hers, their mouths a hair's breath apart. "I think I would do what ever you asked, so long as I was rewarded with your favor and..." With his arms he pulled himself closer so that their lips touched, initiating an, ehem... passionate kiss. He pulled back a little so that he could free his lips to speak again. "... with sweet kisses. If I was your prisoner that would be all I'd need."
That is possible. Ismaroth curled and uncurled all of his toes, stretching out some of the tingles that had cropped up unexpectedly. It makes sense... For Weyrfolk at least. Maybe it was started by them? Since Holdfolk make the outside of their spaces out of rock but support them with wood inside... He paused to ponder. I cannot think of another reason. I will ask Ermine when he is done being occupied by Yours. Perhaps one of Ours will know. The Brown bobbed his head slightly. It is a human saying after all.

It was almost too easy to keep his attention focused on the Greens, they glowed brightly in contrast to the darkened sky. His wings beat in a rhythm as he kept himself aloft, drifting away only to return again, waiting for the females to make a move. And it came in the form of Feyrianth. Maneuvering so that he began to climb after them, Ismaroth chose to fall back. If the intention seemed as though they would drop together what use was it to climb quickly? He could just as well follow their lead, let the younger ones take the fast and eager approach. Flipping his tail and closing his wings, the Brown happily dove after the two as they free fell, he made sure that in the process he didn't hit Behruth who was close on their tails. For him, the fall was shorter and perhaps smoother though not equally as fast. Breaking his decent he rolled to the side and swept low over the ground pulling up only to make a tight turn, one that brought him around to Feyrianth's left.
Gaining lift, Ismaroth rose higher than Behruth and drifted towards him so that their wings almost touched. He bobbed his head in greeting then rolled to his open side, banking so that he gathered more room between them. And of course, so he could correct his position to more accurately follow Feyrianth. Scanning the skies, he allowed himself a moment to judge who the other chasers were and where they had managed to appear after the dive. He wondered to himself as he swept through the air, how many had experienced a duel fight before.
E'rro greeted the others with nods and small waves of his fingers as the chasers began grouping together, figuring out who was going to dance with who and so forth. Behruth's was given a happier greeting with a large smile to accompany a wave, but each was short so as not to perhaps ensue jealousy. He had been in flights were that had happened. Rubbing his hands as he turned his attention fully on the two women, they had just separated though he had a feeling it would not be the last time they were at each others side. Scrunching his nose slightly as he returned her grin, E'rro obediently made his way over to Feyrianth's. Once he got close enough he extended his right hand and placed the left slightly behind his hip. "The first dance, may I?" He'd be more than happy to kick things off. He did love to dance, and knew how to as well, though he normally didn't admit it. He'd danced with Nuoth's once or twice, but now... he wanted the chance to be Feyrianth's partner.

E'rro remembered when Riaren was just a toddler, the boy had been so small that he practically had to stoop to hold his hand, but now he could walk hand in hand with him and not fear back problems. Could Riaren really be nine turns old? It made him feel relatively old despite the fact he was still in his twenties. He'd just about forgotten exactly how long he'd been at Sel... what was it, 13 or 14 years now? Nearly half his current lifetime. Shaking his head, he gave a tug on the boy's hand with a smile. "I should, should I?" Buying Rae a present had already crossed his mind, but he let his companion take credit for the idea. "Well... I guess you're right. Good thinking." E'rro lengthened his stride so Ria wasn't totally pulling him along. "I'm sure she'd love it if you helped pick something out." He remained quiet while they passed under the entrance way to the Gather area, listening to whom other presents were to be going to.
"I can help you out with M'ta's gift, but I think you know Terilyn better than I do. Either way I bet you'll find something pretty cool tucked away in one of the stalls." He grinned. "And you'll say 'Oh this is ever so neat, what do you think of this Uncle E'rro? I believe it is ever so perfect." He nudged the boy gently on the head with his elbow, teasing him in a voice that was definitely no where near what Ria sounded like. "Plus the weaver's stall should have ribbons. We can go check there first if you want. If they have them, maybe we can see if the Weaver will embroider them with something. That could be your present to Teri, maybe?"
The Weaver's stall was perhaps the easiest one to find, the bright colors off setting the white of the snow and the grey of the sky like little splashes of paint. As they arrived he greeted the tent-keep with a wave and let go of Ria's hand so that he could explore the contents inside. "Good afternoon my fine Weaversmith."
"Good afternoon indeed Mister. Can I help you with something?"
"My little friend there was wondering where he could find some ribbons for his sister. Do you have yellow ones?"
The weaver thought about it for a second then turned around on her stool, pointing at one of the tables. "I believe I have some ribbons in a box over there." Her answer was directed at the little boy. "I do believe I may have some yellow ones, but you'll have to check for yourself."
Smiling, E'rro thanked the woman before passing by her into the stall. He didn't need any clothes or other accessories, but it didn't hurt to browse the wares while Riaren searched for his ribbons.

Technically he wasn't supposed to be at the Gather right now, he had business in Inverness and he normally hated being late for meetings... but Dorava could wait just a little. As soon as he'd touched down with Isma at Fort, he'd sent word a head to his Northern counter part telling her of a delay. Not specifically what was delaying him, just that he had been caught up in something and to expect him a little later in the night. But all fun distractions couldn't last. Crunching his way through the snow and back over to where his Brown was waiting patiently for him, E'rro popped a candy into his mouth as he gave his old partner a pat on the head. Sure you don't want anything? No reply. Isma? Are you still annoyed with me that I had to pull you away from your daily chat with Quixoth? Still no reply. Its not like you can't talk with her when we - Hush Mine. Look. Stepping back as the sandy male pointed with his nose, the Brownrider turned to see what had him so distracted.
Its Feyrianth so wha- And that was when he was hit with want. Ismaroth had a way of picking the absolute most inopportune times to decide to chase. Recently the Brown had only been chasing Quixoth as a pleasantry for E'rro, which there was nothing wrong with, but it wasn't in Isma's nature to settle for a single female. Not yet anyway. Maybe when he was much older and the allure of chasing dwindled some. Go ahead and what have you... He waved his hand at the Brown as he turned to go locate Erilena. He kept his pace even when Isma saw that Nuoth had joined the fray just as shiny as Feyrianth, both human and dragon momentarily flashed back to Aointh and Phremath had risen in tandem.
As he drifted over to where the other chasers were gathering Ismaroth noted that he recognized every one of them, and that it was quite an interesting collection of personalities to be sure. He was also sure that he would be chasing Feyrianth that day, and while Nuoth was one of close friends and equally attractive in her own right, it had been so very long since he had shown Feyrianth his favor. He circled once over the Greens so as to greet them with a rumble before pulling back and giving them space. He knew what types of take offs Nuoth could do, they'd learned them together, and he didn't want to be in the way if he could help it. Once he had achieved the height he desired, he brushed Fey's mind letting her know that she was the one he was here for.
By the time he had managed to get to the meeting point, E'rro was far gone enough to be thinking in names of Dragons instead of people, but not far enough to recognize Petta and Kyr as his old wingmates. But where he was mentally was as far as he was going to go. It had been a long time since he and Isma had became completely one. The Brownrider trotted by them with a lift of his eye brow and a quirk of a grin, quite amused that they would be there. Especially Kyr, seeing as she was a Green. Either way he didn't mind and would enjoy at the very least, competing alongside Petta if he chose to follow Feyrianth. He was also amused at some of the confusion that the two Greens were causing by rising together. They were both certainly beautiful, but look how the moon shone on Fey's pretty gold hair. Happily he gave his greeting to the Greens with a little bow, then chose to remain where he had stopped, waiting to see what his Green did next. Ah wasn't the night nice tonight? Even if it was a bit chilly.

Ouch. Handicap and less able? She certainly didn't have any qualms about telling it how she felt it. "Senior Journeyman Cavelieran, at your service." He nearly stumbled as the Bluerider eagerly entered the maze, practically dragging him along until he managed to catch up to her pace. The Dolphineer was glad for the brief moment's pause at the first intersection. "Well I suppose left is as good a direction as any." This time he was the first one to lead the way. Cavey was... debating on whether or not to tell the woman that the maze wasn't something to win. On the one hand, he felt it would be extraordinarily amusing once they reached the middle and she found out for herself, on the other he felt bad for keeping the information to himself. Humming, he decided to wait a little longer before divulging the secrets of the maze. "If they have spotters I have not seen one yet. I wonder, do you suppose they have them hidden in the walls somewhere?" The amusement in his voice was painfully obvious. "Or perhaps they are hidden in snow drifts."
Perhaps it was for Farnath's amusement that he was always being paired up with women like Lilu. He'd managed to put a smile on Elysia's face, so perhaps he could do the same with the Bluerider. So serious she looked. He delt with grouchy people the same way he dealt with everyone, with a smile. He believed that eventually a smile could be contagious. Hopefully this was the case here. Even if it wasn't Cavelieran was determined to have a good time. The next intersection came up and he pointed right. "Lets go this way." He turned the corner and managed to loose her arm but he flung his hand back and caught her hand instead. "Now see who is the slowpoke." He laughed jovially. "Come on then. Don't want someone who is 'less skilled' than his partner to beat you to the punch, do you?"

Man, the North was cold. The last time he'd been in the North was for the Summit and most of the time he'd been indoors, out of the chill. Having lived all his life in Blossom, Cavelieran was not at all used to the frigid weather and was therefore, bundled nicely in a brown winter jacket and a snow hat with rabbit fur lining. Black gloves and a matching scarf protected the rest of his visible skin (with the exception of his face), and he was quite toasty despite the wind on his face. Tucking his hands into the pockets of his jacket the Dolphineer wondered aimlessly about with no real destination in mind. He'd hitched a ride up to the gather with his cousin but had abandoned him in favor of not being a third wheel. Well, fourth if you included his niece. Either way he felt like he was barging in on family time and had promised to meet up with them later.
Cavelieran was happy to be in Fort Hold, not only because they are known to throw amazing gathers, but to see so many people milling about. The war had ended long ago but it was still warming to see the humans and dragons who had so long ago been enemies, now walk amongst each other as allies and friends. He stopped momentarily to avoid the children running about his feet and offered a moment's safety to the boy being chased before the two scampered off. His eyes drifted upward, focusing on a sign. Tilting his head Cavelieran wondered over to the entrance of the maze, interested in what hidden little things could be found in it. He'd done mazes before, at Blossom they had a fall festival that had one, but they were made out of corn and grain stalks. Ice and snow walls were different by far, you couldn't see through them!
"Partner?" He blinked as the woman pointed to him. Glancing at the woman who'd been held back, the Dolphineer was reminded of a certain Greenrider he (for some reason) bumped into in the most random of times. She seemed... very... fighter-esk, if you will. Still it never hurt to be friendly especially with someone who didn't look terribly thrilled. "Well, I suppose they won't let us in unless we go together." He offered the red head a smile and his arm with a little mock bow. "Shall I accompany you into the maze Ms. Dragonrider?" He guessed at her profession, since there weren't many who let females fight.

If a boy could look more like a round ball than Riaren did right now, E'rro would be summarily surprised. He made sure to put a gloved hand in front of his face to suppress the chuckles that were nudging their way out. "Forgotten anything?" The Brownrider said as he pushed off of Ismaroth's withers. "No? Well come on then, don't want to miss out on the day." Waving him over, he helped the snugly packed nine turn old up onto the Brown's back before swinging up into the harness himself. E'rro handed Riaren a pair of goggles he'd gotten especially for his random trips with the boy. He had to loosen some of the safety straps to compensate, he'd expected a snow jacket on the boy, not a body heat containment unit. He himself was only wearing a long sleeved shirt under a white and grey winter riding jacket... on top at least. On the bottom he wore thick black snow pants that were tucked into knee high boots. Long hair and a snow hat protected his ears and a thin scarf protected his neck. All together more than he used to wear when he was in the North, but less than he should have because of the last few years of living in New Selenitas, where they actually got snow.
Shifting as Ismaroth turned and leapt off of the weyrledge, E'rro adjusted his own goggles before leaning in close so Riaren could hear him over the rush of air. "When we clear the trees, we're going to Between. So get ready." As they climbed into the altitudes above the forest, the Brown took the image from E'rro's mind and sent the picture back to both of the humans on his back. Once he was sure the little one had the image Ismaroth slid into the Between, seconds later they emerged over the jump point, the ground beneath them layered in white rolling hills. Glancing down, the Dragonhealer took in the landscape as they rushed over trees, rocks, and even some of the outlying houses. It had been a while since he'd been back to the North, the last time was about four months ago when he'd visited Nephele, K'sel and his godson. When Fort Proper came into sight he pointed with a grin, you could tell that it was already in full Gather swing.
Ismaroth glided over to where the landing area was, backwinging so that his touch down was as light as a sparrow's. Or so he compared it that way. Back legs first, then front, the Brown high stepped for a few paces as he got used to the cold. Setting himself down he maneuvered his leg so that Riaren could get down without dropping a long distance. E'rro made sure to quickly loosen the boy from his straps so they could both get down into the snow. Once Ria made it down he slid off Isma's neck hearing the satisfying 'wuomp' his boots made on contact with the white powder. "Thanks Isma. Look, some of your friends are here." Indeed, so they are. I shall join them. Call me when you wish to leave Mine. The Brown happily removed himself and trundled over to where a large patch of the ground had been cleared to the dirt and spread over with hay. E'rro turned to his companion. "Lead the way! Lets go see what they have to do here, eh?"

Shifting ever so slightly when he spotted Farryl, he waited for a few more moments before popping up and gracefully launching a snowball from behind his small drift of snow. He watched as it collided with her jacket padded hip. He picked up another and threw it so it fell just short of the Greenrider, the action making his hood fall back, exposing his head for recognition. Lifting a foot, he planted it firmly on the drift exposing himself for retaliation. "Halt fair maiden. This is a raid! I suggest you give up while you still have a chance!" He then immediately ducked behind cover once again, though he took a chance to peek up over the ridge before lobbing another snow ball in her general direction. Though he heard a disgruntled male voice and assumed that some poor by stander had gotten hit instead. He stood up and got a snowball to the face. Obviously the man had a reciprocal sense of justice and returned his frozen water in retaliation.
Wiping the snow out of his eyes, K'thay laughed in good spirits, though he had momentarily lost track of Farryl in his distraction. "Maiden you cannot get the best of me!" Tossing a snow ball up and down, he scanned the people for his lovely lady friend. He was hesitant to call her his girlfriend, since they had only just started dating, and there never really had been a word for it... so lady friend it was, in his mind anyway.
Castidenloth, now allowed to contact his Greenfriend, did so. Peppeth. Hello, hello. I would have greeted you earlier but Mine didn't want to chance ruining his "dastardly schemes". How are you today? Stretching out his wings, the Blue intended to take full advantage of the small amounts of sunlight drifting through the breaks in the clouds.

Sitting down at the desk he pulled out a sheet of parchment, some ink and a quill, all the while putting his glass to the side. Quickly and as elegantly as he could manage Nautic wrote a letter to Eikane's eldest sister and her husband. He knew she'd pass it around to the other sisters in the morning or, if they were still up, pretty soon after the letter arrived. Signing the bottom with both of their names (and Einata's) Nautic gently blew on it to help dry the ink. Getting up as their daughter started complaining, the Greenhandler trotted over to give her a kiss on the forehead. "No squawking little bird, you'll want all your strength to throw snowballs at Papa." He grinned and trotted back to the desk so he could fold and seal the letter.
Heating the wax (which was a light blue color), Nautic poured a dab of it on the back of the folds before pressing the seal in it. He'd found the seal on a market trip and had thought it cute. It was simply three little stars in a slightly bent line, so that the middle star was slightly above the other two. The stars in the seal were indented so that when pressed into the wax would make the stars pop out. "Tizzy, I've got a delivery for you." Pulling the Blue out of his collar and setting him down on the table, he shared where to go and who to give it to. Out of all his small pets on a daily basis, Tizzy was by far the brightest and often did little jumps like this. "Kraay! Siss fien!" The skinny Blue grabbed the letter in his mouth, leaped off the table and into the Between.
When that was all done with, he joined the duo in Einata's room for the song.
---
Einata made her biggest, most saddest doe eyes at Eikane when he was trying to decide. But when he said yes to the muffins she squeaked happily and hugged him around the neck. "Yay muffins!" Letting go so he could get up, she hardly had time to complain on the ground before she was swept up, giggling. "But I'm not sleeeeepy! I don't waaant to go to bed yeeet." Einata wiggled as her daddy gave her a kiss on the head but gave a sigh. "Fiiiine. But I'm still not sleepy." She let herself be carried away, picking at her Papa's shirt collar boredly.

"Well then, you're in luck because I was totally lying." He smiled as her lips brushed his forehead. "I have every intention of distracting you from your work." His hand snuck up the back of her blouse, tracing a small pattern lightly with his fingers. As he'd grown, as he'd spent time with Raebeli and his brother and friend, he'd come to a realization. His dislike of touch was tied in directly with emotional attachment. With people like T'san and M'ta, the Brownrider didn't so much mind them touching, and with Er'ani it rarely bothered him... much the same with Raebeli, the sensations were still strange but not unwelcome. He could often forget about it completely. "You should be careful wondering into my lair, my lark." He feigned leaning in for a kiss, instead tilting his head to the side and letting his mouth trail down to her collarbone. "One day I may lock the door and not let you go." Wrinkling his nose he smiled, showing his teeth. "And I'm sure all your admirers in the infirmary, and Quixoth surely, would wonder what the big bad Dragonhealer did with their lovely LadyHealer."
And E'rro certainly did feel like some kind of predator at times. Generally he wasn't overly possessive of the Greenrider, most of the time he could get through the week without getting growly at someone, but there were some days that he just wanted her all to himself. Right now for instance. Reaching up he slid his fingers through her hair, running them gently through it so as not to tug on any tangles that might be there. "And I couldn't possibly tell them what happened." He leaned in close, making it more than apparent he would happily oblige any wishes for kissing. "For modesty's sake of course."
Stretching his wings, Ismaroth let them lay along his back sightly open. He made a show of trying to locate a near piece of wood, he settled for a support beam near by. Knock on wood indeed. I would rather like to remain at peace here on the ledge in your company. He paused for a moment. I do wonder where that saying came from. It seems a little strange.

"Hmm..." She put a finger to the side of her cheek. "Okay!" Putting Vain on the floor before jumping up, Einata carefully circled to her Papa's side that did not contain a large Gold Wher. Putting her hands lightly on his shoulder she bounced slightly. "If we go see them I can bring them their drawings!" A few weeks ago the little brown head had gone on a coloring spree and had almost literally colored pictures for just about everyone she knew. "And I can play with my cousins and run around and... and stuff!" Widening her eyes, Einata played with one of the ribbons in her hair. "I've been good right?" She paused. "Can we get little blueberry muffins at the market if they have them? Huuuh? Can we pleaaaase?" When it came down to sweets, Einata wasn't very much a fan, but Blueberry muffins were a sort of savory sweetness. They were currently her most favorite treat, especially if they tasted extra vanilla-y. "Or almondy scones? Like the ones this big," She measured with her hands, "That have that sugary stuff on it?"
Maybe if she was extra good the rest of today and all of tomorrow, her Daddy and Papa would let her have hot cider with two cinnamon sticks in it. Einata sighed a little as she thought of playing in the snow and then drinking cider, that would be soooo nice! Maybe they could even make snowmen... but then they'd need to bring carrots and stuff. She'd remember to remind them tomorrow to bring everything, Mr. Frosty would need his hat, yessir!
----
He let Eikane decide whether or not they would get what their daughter was asking for, because Nautic was always much to willing to spoil her with everything. The Greenhandler knew that self control was really important but sometimes he just simply had none. Which is why Einata had more clothes than he did, and his wardrobe was not easily matched. On the plus side, whenever he randomly spent marks, it was almost always out of his own pay. He didn't think it fair to spend any of Eikane's unless they both agreed to pool their marks or whatever. It also meant he had significantly less money saved up than his partner. But it didn't bother him, he didn't need much in the way of anything else. He could make good, filling meals for cheap and he never needed any expensive grooming things. He had all the music he needed via Eikane and they had already furnished their new home...
"So I think Southern Boll is a go then?" Picking himself up from the floor he patted Nautsk, tried not to step on Vain or dislodge Tizzy, and crossed over to their writing desk. He poured himself a glass of water and leaned against the wood with a smile.

"Silly you indeed." He let her hand go. Crossing his ankles as he watched her dry the ink on the paper, E'rro smiled openly. She was toying with him... it was working, and he would be lying if he said he didn't absolutely enjoy it. Raebeli very much had the Brownrider wrapped around her finger and it took very little effort to distract him from anything that could be put off or passed off to someone else. This most commonly and currently included paperwork. "I think a couch may just be possible. If you stumble into my office again, I would not want to torture you by sitting far away in a separate chair." He posed. "Especially since I'm so handsome. It would simply be a tragedy." Grinning, E'rro scooped up a small handful of papers to glance over them. He had finished more than half in the morning and the ones that remained for him to do were nothing more than item and time off work request forms.
Switching sides, Ismaroth turned so that he could look at Quixoth and still bathe in the sun. I do not think that there is anything that could out shine Yours right now. The Brown shuffled his wings with a yawn. Yours has his full attention. I have a feeling, only an emergency would pull him away. He closed his eyes as his side began to warm up. The cool breeze and the warm sun felt very good. And it does not look like anything of that sort is going to happen any time soon.
He glanced up from his papers in time to catch his Weyrmate's little smirk. Dropping his work into his 'to be done' box, E'rro slid off the table, "And since sitting apart would be such a travesty..." He grabbed the back of his desk chair and scooted it back, "I think that I," He then more than happily scooped Raebeli out of the chair, "Should sit here as well." Plopping himself down, he made sure he didn't knock Rae into anything as he settled her on his lap and wrapped an arm around her waist. There was enough room between them and the desk for the Greenrider to continue with her work if she felt so inclined. "Now you can work on your papers and I can hold onto you." E'rro rested his chin on her shoulder. "I promise I won't distract you." Which was a total and complete lie, and as proof he almost immediately nuzzled into her neck.

With both hands planted firmly on his lower back, the Dragonhealer bent and twisted, feeling a satisfying pop as some of the tension was released. He knew that cracking his back only helped in the short term but after having been bent over little dragons all day stretching like that felt blissful. Holding his hand out for the clip board E'rro scanned the chart for any mistakes before giving it back with a small word of praise. He was currently working with his favorite intern which made the day better because he could just dump everything on him and he knew it would get done in an efficient manner, well that and the young man didn't talk very much... some of the others were chatty Cathy's and drove him simply up the wall. Excusing himself the Brownrider crossed into the human side of the infirmary to retrieve something, managing to catch a glimpse of Raebeli just as she scurried off to her office.
He paused a moment to watch the door that had closed behind her with an eyebrow raised. Throughout the day he'd crossed between the human and the dragon sides, occasionally helping some of the younger healing interns with questions when he didn't have anything else to do. Usually he'd spare a moment or two for his Weyrmate every now and then but today she looked rather daydreamy, as if she was puzzling over something, so he'd left her alone for the most part. Rae and daydreams were no uncommon thing so it was tossed quite nonchalantly to the back of his mind. Shaking himself out of his moment of reverie, E'rro grabbed what he was looking for and returned to his little patient. Today had been baby check up day, and he'd found one that had caught the dragon equivalent to the sniffles. Probably due to the most recent snowfall. "Here," He handed a large tincture bottle to the Rider, "One syringe full in the morning, but make sure your bonded eats a handful of meat before hand."
He left the ending instructions and goodbyes to the intern at hand. I remember when you were just a little thing. You looked like a sand sculpture come to life you were such a light color. And you looked like a delinquent with messy hair. And you still do. Laughing, the Dragonhealer startled a near by apprentice who received an apologetic smile. Ah... well... no new patients for me then Isma? None that I can see. Which meant he was now banished to his office to finish the paperwork he'd started on early that morning. Lets hope it hasn't multiplied. Fishing his keyring out from inside his healer coat E'rro raised it slightly before noticing that his previously locked door was now in fact, unlocked. "Hmm..." He opened the door as if nothing could possibly be wrong. "And here I thought I would find nothing but stacked sheaves of paper." E'rro closed the door behind him with a smile and crossed the room to perch on an empty patch of desk close to the arm of his chair. "But to my surprise, I find a beautiful woman alight where I ought to be." He reached for her free hand and put it to his lips. "How will I ever get my work done?"
