The queen wher lifted her head sharply to see what was wrong with her hatchling, tiring herself rapidly in the process. She crooned sadly in a last-ditch effort to encourage the little one out, letting herself be comforted by Varrana's hand. How she wished she were younger! However, she sensed the woman's emotions. She nudged her affectionately, as if she would treat one of her own hatchlings this way. Even if she opened the shell for the hatchling, it would be obvious that it wouldn't be as healthy. There were reasons some eggs were duds; unhealthy whers would only make the blood worsen amongst their species. If they couldn't survive long enough to break their egg, then it was only natural that they wouldn't succeed fully in life. This would be a kind death. Though it hurt her, yes, to see one of her children dying, she had to let nature take its course. Interfering would be babying the wher, and it would undoubtedly be sickly the rest of its life if the shell were to crack by force.
However, someone did not know this. Trumpeting weakly in alarm as a girl rushed the shell, breaking it, she was overcome with anger and grief. The Mint Egg, by force, broke open when Torra pulled it apart. The queen's predication held true. What came out of this egg looked like a skeleton. His blue hide was extraordinarily pale, almost a shade of white. It looked like it was simply leather covering up a toy doll. The blue looked up, his red eyes whirling with hurt pride. He was almost out! He didn't need help! He was perfectly capable of fighting his own battles! He snarled at Torra, slowly trying to stand before falling to his side. He was simply too weak to do so. Giving a mournful call, he tried again, baring his baby teeth at Torra to make sure she backed away. She hurt his pride. He didn't want her.
Wobbling unsteadily on his bony legs, his over-sized head slowly rocking to and fro as he tried to see who it was he did want. Not a girl. Girls were stupid. Girls tried to open the shells of hatching whers. Treating them like babies. Well, he sure wasn't a baby! He was as strong as a bronze dragon! Or so he liked to think. In actuality, he probably wouldn't be able to hold his body weight up for much longer. He felt this, which only made him more and more determined to get to his bonded. The blue crooned softly, weakly. This was exhausting him. Such a hard start to life. Pausing in front of Swithin, his legs finally gave out, and he collapsed in front of him. Crooning pleadingly to Swithin, his large eyes looked up lovingly, vivid on his pale head. Could Swithin help his little Swisk?
The queen let out a tired grunt, falling back onto the cot. She was so tired. Shifting over slightly, she crooned to Varrana, letting her climb in next to her if she wanted. She was angry with the girl that opened Swisk's egg. He was unhealthy... but no matter. What was done was done. She licked Varrana's hand with her rough tongue. Such a sweet girl. A sad one. Forcing herself to remain in the living night a little longer, at least for the girl, she flicked her tail tiredly, trying to remind herself not to sleep until she felt that she was sure that she would last through a whole day's sleep. At least her hatchlings were safe.

The old queen let out a soft croon at her Impressed children. As of now, there were only two eggs left, with none of them out as of yet. One looked like a brown was within, which was good. She hadn't had any bronzes yet, and she wanted many fine sons. The bronze she had seemed lovely, but she wanted more. A desperate wish, perhaps, but her daughter, her prize, was obviously her favored one. She had waited turns for a perfect little daughter. She had only had a couple in her lifetime, making little Neisk all the more precious. Letting out a pleased grunt, she rested her head on her cot, closing her eyes ever so slightly. She was quite tired. However, she needed to stay awake just long enough to see her final two children Impress. She knew that if she closed her eyes, they would never again open.
The Jawbreaker Egg continued to roll about eagerly, trying to get out as soon as it could to look at all the people. A couple more shakes and a twist, and... crack! The final parts of the egg split open, revealing a perfect, sturdy brown lad rolling around the shards. It took him a moment to realize that he was free; he continued to flop around as if thinking he was still in the process of hatching. When he realized that the air on him was chilling his egg fluid on his hide, he cheeped in incredulity. Looking around wildly, he let out a proud trumpet, darting directly into the crowd. He weeded through the throng curiously, accidentally bumping into Torra, then Swithin. He didn't even pause to apologize, too excited to find his bonded to do so. However, when he came to Zyoshvor, he paused, turning to look at him in awe. Could... could it be?! He sniffed, then squealed. It was! It was! Biting firmly onto his leg, he let out a muffled croon. He was Zyoshsk, and his bonded had been found!
The final egg, the Mint Egg did not move. A moment passed, then another. Many people began to wonder if it was dead. Some of them made a move as if to leave the room, but then, as if realizing they were getting impatient, the egg gave a desperate wiggle, trying to get them to stay. It was just having a little bit of trouble. Spurred on by the first motion, it rocked again. A tiny crack ran along the shell. Yet it was getting weaker by the minute...

The old queen crooned to Varrana, nuzzling against her hand in a way to perhaps reassure her. She was a sweet lass. Once again regretful that she was too old to decide on a new bonded, she remembered her old one fondly. She had been a kind woman, leading her fellow wherhandlers with a firm and just fist. Unfortunately, that cave-in had robbed her. The old queen had been put off duty that day, for she was starting to get clutch-heavy, yet her handler had gone on anyway. And look where it all ended up! She crooned to Varrana again, as if trying to tell her that one day, she would also triumph. Yes, there was always tragedy, but she would pull through it. Good things still came to be. Look at her clutch! They were absolutely perfect! Growling lightly at the young queen to urge her own, she also did the same thing to the green. What was it with those two just not wanting to bond? Her strong bronze had done so, as did the others.
Looking warily at her queen sister, the green took a tentative step out of the furs, looking nervously from person to person. They were all so frightening, and she was half-tempted to just run back into the safe furs. Finding her person couldn't possibly be worth it! Just as she prepared to turn, however, the lure of the perfect mind wafted through her. She paused. It would be awfully nice to find them... Looking back shyly, she looked through the crowd nervously. Now where were they... Locking eyes with Kayla, she quickly bolted toward her, wanting to be rid of the scary people as fast as she could. This was the one she wanted! Ducking her head between Kayla's legs, she crooned lovingly, trying to pass on the hint to Kayla that her little Kask was hungry and didn't want to be around all of these big people!
The Jawbreaker Egg wobbled fiercely, rolling around with sheer determination to escape the confines of its fragile prison. Long cracks spread along the shell, and with each shake, the grew wider and wider. A muted trumpet was heard from inside, the wher obviously trying to make sure people knew not to leave, because he was almost out! A flash of brown hide through the cracks showed everyone his color as he wrestled in the shell, trying to entice people to want him. Why wouldn't they want him? He was quite the handsome little boy. If, of course, they could see it through the shell...
The queen, giving a dramatic yawn, flopped off the cot ungracefully. Looking around at all the people, she made a show of pondering one, striding back and forth in front of them. She knew they wanted her. Of course, who wouldn't? But some of the girls here were looking terribly excited for her! She crooned at them. Yet who would be worthy of her? She loved the silence that seemed to dawn on the room in her presence. They were in awe of her! However, her dam chirped warningly. She needed to get choosing! Grumbling at having her strutting time cut short, she focused back on the people, thinking more seriously about who she would want to bond with. She would only have the perfect person....
And there she was! The little queen crooned, stepping proudly toward Neirin, butting her head authoritatively. The first rule: She was boss. That meant Neirin would have to do everything she said. What she wanted now... was blood. Then good. Neisk chirped firmly.

The old queen rumbled at the little green hiding in the furs. If she didn't hurry, all the best candidates would be taken! She made a move, as if to lug her ancient body off of the cot, but she flopped back down, too tired to move. It was odd. She hadn't been able to leave the cot in weeks, relying on the nice young lad who lived here (with his ugly green thing) to get her food. She wouldn't have much longer, no. If she did, she would probably wrestle that green dragon away and claim the nice boy for her own. She crooned to him as she thought of that. Meanwhile, the little green wherling peeped shyly at her mother, almost asking for encouragement to leave the furs. The queen looked back down, squawked firmly, then returned her multi-faceted eyes to the golden egg that rocked on the cot. Alone again, the green wher looked up at the crowd, trying to gather the nerve to leave. Oh, there were oh so many of them...
Then, two remarkable things happened. As everyone seemed to be staring at the queen egg, another flash of metallic hide startled them. As they all quickly looked down at the dark bronze hide that emerged from the finally-hatched Milk Chocolate Egg, the golden queen egg, too, chose to hatch. In that split second of distraction, the Toffee Egg seemed to explode away from the creature within, some of the shards flying to the floor. The old queen didn't know where to look first! A strong, muscley bronze son, and a lovely golden daughter! Crooning with affection and pride, she struggled to lift her neck and head up to give them her full attention. The bronze stepped from his shards with whirling red eyes, displeased his clutch-sister was stealing his attention. He needed attention just as much as she did!
The new queen, however, took no notice of her brother, and instead took the time to preen amidst the eggshells. She knew all the eyes of the room were on her, and she was loving it! Her hide was a dull gold, reflecting with the metallic coloring and egg fluid, making her almost glow in the dim light. Her round eyes were red with hunger, yet golden with pride for... herself? Yes! She was clearly the prettiest creature in this room, if not all of Pern!
Grumpy, the bronze stalked off right towards the boys, determined to get some attention himself. Hissing at everyone to try and do so, he saw it wasn't working so well as he had hoped. A couple eager boys looked down, but he knew their young eyes kept flickering to his irritating sister. Choosing the one closest to him-- Oraru--, he smacked his head against his leg. He growled. He, Orask, needed attention. And food.
The dying queen, noting eyes on her, turned over to Varrana. She crooned. The girl was a youngling, yet her thoughts were sad. Warbling softly, she flicked her tail lightly, beckoning her over. They could be together through the Hatching. It would be nice to not be so lonely, especially when it was time for her to go to the eternal between. The girl should be happy. This was a time of birth, not of sadness. Turning her golden head to the whers once more, she kept an eye not only on the new queen, but also on the green. Would she be all right, not having chosen as quickly as her siblings had done?

The queen wher looked on her children proudly. Such fine younglings! And one had even Impressed already! Crooning encouragement at Ellanie to feed Ellanisk her blood, she looked at the Candy Cane Egg with concern. She didn't like how Ellanisk had busted it so much, even if it was unintentional. No matter. The wherling inside of that one would certainly have more to go to get out still. Looking over to her grumpy blue son, she gave him a firm growl. He needed to quit pouting and find a handler. This would be the best opportunity in his whole life, and she didn't want to watch him simply sulking around rather than actually getting up and doing the one thing she wanted him to do. He huffed, looking up at the gold with a do-I-have-to look. She grunted in reply, affirming it. Grouchily, the blue slowly got up, still feeling sore above his eye ridges. With that, he surveyed the room carefully. Now, which one would be the one that would suit him...? The dam crooned lovingly. She was proud of her son for what he was about to do.
As he looked on the crowd, the Candy Cane Egg, weakened by it's sister's tail, calmly fell to the ground, piece by piece. Dark hide was visible through the membrane, and for a wild moment, it appeared that the wher was black. However, this wasn't so. As soon as the gleaming hide caught in the light of the glows, a green tint was very visible. With a few more tosses, the green wher inside managed to knock herself other, shattering the egg as soon as it contacted the ground. Shyly, the green looked up at the crowds, peeping quietly. This was so scary! Curling up in the furs, she accomplished both the task of drying herself and hiding at once. However, she was curious, and she looked up at the crowd with fearful wonder. Yet she sensed someone in there... Should she go to them? It was certainly safer here...
The blue was still busy contemplating. Sounds of cracks behind him (coming from the Milk Chocolate Egg) were ignored completely, if he noticed them at all. There were so many eager thoughts floating around the room that it was hard to distinguish them from each other. He grumbled a bit, pacing back and forth. But then... He paused. There was one thought floating around that he liked even more, and it was concerning how pretty his dam was. Choosing this one for it's kindness, he whirled to Kedan, not even hesitating at leaping for him, digging his teeth into his wrist, hoping for blood; he was Kedsk now!
Slowly and in a very dignified manner, the golden egg began to rocked back and forth. Long cracks, even though they were thin, ran along the shell, marring the fine color of gold. Immediately on the alert, the old queen stared at it intently. Could it be her beautiful little daughter was hatching?

The wher queen let out a small croon to her hatchlings, her weakness becoming more and more obvious as her whirling, proud eyes began to slowly dim. If there had simply been a chance to bond, she would live, but she was old. Her time was coming. Nevertheless, she could spare enough time to see her precious little hatchlings. She hadn't had a clutch in so long, so these were her pride and joy. She could die happy, knowing that they were hatched and healthy, and with people who could adequately take care of them. She looked each person over curiously, thinking if they had had any experience with whers. Hopefully, they would learn what to do. Fortunately, she could sense no malevolent presence among them. That alone made them worthy enough to let them look on. Besides, her children would be smart. They would know to choose just the right person! She flicked her tail tiredly, her gaze moving to each egg, lingering on the hatching ones.
The first egg to hatch was the Cotton Candy Egg. The long cracks grew weaker as the creature within tapped as hard as it could, resulting in the collapsing of the tiny wall that separated it from the outside world. Squealing in surprise and delight, the wher wrestled to get the pleasantly-colored shell off of her pale green hide. This little green was small, and more wirey than the idle muscley wher. However, she was apparently healthy, and that was all that mattered to her dying dam. The old queen bugled weakly, welcoming her first daughter to the world. Her whirling eyes a mixture of red and purple, the green replied with a short trumpet of her own, clumsily getting onto her legs. Shaking the rest of the egg off of her body, she looked around excitedly, warbling. Unfortunately, she toppled over in her excitement. It seems her legs needed a bit of getting used to!
While most eyes rested on the deceptive Milk Chocolate Egg, the Bubblegum Egg unexpectedly busted open with a loud crunch! Indignant of his birthing sounds and the fact that he had scraped himself in doing so, the blue that was within squawked angrily at everyone around him. Irritably shaking the shards from his navy-blue body, he stared at everyone before flapping his stubby wings and plopping down amidst his egg fluids and eggshell. He was pouting, one might be amused to note, yet one also had to give him a bit of pity. Right above his eye ridges, he had scraped it coming out of the shell, with a little bit of ichor beginning to show. The queen had to resist the urge to come lick it off for him-- not that she had the energy to. His bonded would do it... or something like that.
After getting up and sniffing the now violently shaking Milk Chocolate Egg, the green looked around. She paused again, snaking nimbly around the Candy Cane Egg, which was also showing signs of life with thin, web-like cracks. This was so boring! Suddenly whirling back to the crowd, her tail smacked against the Candy Cane Egg, causing more serious cracks to develop. Chirping apologetically, the green scampered away from it, seemingly to try and avoid blame. Looking up at everyone, she decided to avoid any more trouble. Crooning, she stumbled over to Ellanie, nuzzling her lovingly and needily, then tugged on the hem of the girl's skirt with her maw. She wanted the girl to sit down to feed and cuddle her! She was Ellanisk! Pressing this name firmly against her mind, she tugged even more insistently. If this girl would let her blood her... She looked up at Ellanie innocently, blinking her bulbous eyes sweetly at her.
((Just so everyone knows, Selenitas whers don't speak. They send thoughts like flitters, but it's more intense and can do specific images and stuff. I'm just reminding y'all cos other Weyrs have them speak. xD
Also, I'll PM your descriptions as soon as I know you've read it. :3))

Births are a cause for humming, even if the dragons detest whers. Flitters and a handful of dragons began humming early in the morning, before even the sun could rise. Flitters popped into the room from between, probably to the irritation of the sole human inhabitant. Some squawked excitedly, other crooned in encouragement. The old queen looked up, her golden throat vibrating. It was time for her children to see the world. Looking over at K’lir, she crooned lovingly. She had become quite attached to him over the past few sevendays. Perhaps he would like to see the hatchling of her little children? She knew he had also become quite attached to them, as well. Pity he had that ugly green thing, or she might very well be willing to attach to him.
Only a couple eggs were moving as of yet. The queen looked up at some of the flitters around her, crooning at them, asking them to wake up the candidates that would want to come to the whers. Immediately, several complied, and winked between to screech the candidates awake. Hopefully, the humming would tell them what was going on, as well as if the flitters could send a mental picture of the hatching eggs to their bondeds. Reluctantly, the old queen slid back slightly from the queen egg. No signs of hatching had shone from her precious daughter yet, but little tapping sounds could be heard from inside. This was the one egg that was on the bed, and the rest were scattered among the floor beside it, wrapped in furs and clothes.
The two rocking eggs were the Cotton Candy Egg and the Milk Chocolate Egg. The former had long, jagged cracks along the pastel shell, whereas the second only had a couple cracks. Both were rocking violently, but seemed to be waiting for people to arrive…

Toffee Egg – Large and golden, there is no doubt in anyone’s mind as to what this egg holds. The wrinkled shell of this egg of this egg is a soft shade of solid, metallic brown-gold, like the color of sweet toffee. However, this egg is far from sweet. It casts off an irritable aura of sheer grumpiness, and knowledge of its color even as a mere embryo. One might expect great things from this egg, yes, but don’t expect it to work miracles. The wher inside knows she is a great one, so one might want to tread lightly around it. This egg is the only one that rests on the bed, beside the dying queen wher.
Jawbreaker Egg – The only egg of the clutch that is actually completely round and smooth, this medium-sized egg is also one of the more happy seeming ones. It casts of emotions of sheer playfulness, daring any who approach it to play with it. Its shell is also peculiar, an odd shade of a very light blue, almost white. It is dappled with brown specks, but on the upper side of its shell, there is a red circle, with a yellow circle in it, and then an orange circle within that. This cheery egg attracts many, not only for the happiness it contains, but also for the intriguing spot on its shell.
Candycane Egg – With it’s background being solid white, this small egg seems to be a different white than the Mint Egg. The sheen possesses something of a mother-of-pearl type of shine, with the pure white seeming almost to have a rainbow in it at times. However, red stripes across the shell distract people from the rainbows. The red stripes are on a diagonal slant, making the egg seem oddly pretty. They are enough to almost distract one from the bumps on the shell of this egg. However, it is impossible to get the feel of this egg’s personality. One minute, it seems emotionally dead, other times, angry, other times, loving. This egg is a pure mystery.
Milk Chocolate Egg – This shell isn’t wrinkled, per se, but it is very denty, to a point where it looks like it’s a rock rather than orb. Its large, solid shell reflects the dim light of the glows. The brown coloring is even more evident under the light, the soft hue of the light brown is pleasant to look at. Then again, as with the Toffee Egg, looks can be deceiving. It is irritable and grumpy, and if anyone dares touch it, one can almost feel the sulkiness at having itself touched right beneath their fingertips. The Milk Chocolate Egg is far from a happy one.
Cotton Candy Egg – This egg is perhaps the sweetest-looking of the bunch. The shell looks melted down and sunken in, yet the color makes it clear that this egg is not suffering from the outer shell. It is a mixture of pastels, of light greens, pinks, purples, and blues, all swirled together in a cheerful mesh. The personality is just as bright as the shell, if not brighter. This is a sure attraction, though the colors may influence the girls more than the boys. But this egg is certainly not choosy at all, and is willing to go to anyone.
Bubblegum Egg – On the smaller scale, this egg is pleasing to the eye. Its shell is rather crookedly shaped, almost formed in a slight curved shape, with long dents running in spirals along the shell. In a way, this egg is almost pretty in the way it’s shaped. Its color, is well, is also very attractive, particularly to the girls. It is a light, soft pink, with the faintest swirls of reds and whites. It reflects the peaceful emotions it has, the content and affectionate feelings that make people like it even more.
Mint Egg – A solid, ghostly color of white, this egg is creepier than anything else. Its small size makes it seem even more spirit-like, with the grumpy feelings that emanate from it making it seem even more like an odd poltergeist. The shape of this shell is wrinkly to an extreme, to a point where there is no more than a square inch of smooth shell left on the egg. Perhaps this egg is a true wraith, and a sour one at that. Yet it’s possible that it wouldn’t mind someone of a happier disposition…

Hiee~ Welcome to Selenitas! ^^
Just so you know, I know I don't make this very clear in the rules and should probably change it, but your charrie doesn't move into her subboard until she's approved, so I'm going to move her with all the other pending charries in the general Characters board. Sorry for the confusion. ^^;
One helpful thing to keep in mind is to beware of sentence fragments. I noticed that you had quite a few, so I think fixing most or all of them would be extremely nice. xD
Also, how did her friend die? An accident? Did he get mixed up with Northern affairs? That whole sections just leaves me begging for more. : )
Fix those and she'll be set!

All right, this profile could use a bit of work.
In his appearance, could you make this more... descriptiony? As in, actual give some structure to the format you have. Feel free to read other character appearances to see how I'd like them. This adds a lot more flow to a character rather than plain facts. Also, I'm confused by what you mean when you say "his many trips to the Southern Continent." Selenitas is in the Southern Continent... >>
For the history, I'm suspecting you haven't thoroughly read through our history. I need details like which continent he's originally from, if he's a transfer or Impressed at Selenitas, what his stand on the war is, etc. And major holds must be already existing ones-- the canon ones from the North and the ones that are in the South. The ones in the South are listed in the boards, among other places. So I think "Secret Hold" would have to be out. And holds don't typically have soldiers, either. Dragonriders fight, but not really the holders. Also, he probably wouldn't have all the time in the world to search for his parents. Even at Selenitas, they are kept constantly busy with drills, etc. And, just as a quick snippet, there are no vipers on Pern. It's all tunnelsnakes. So, I think what's best is to read the history and give it a makeover. :3
For the dragon... There are two reasons why I am against the gold. One, it's impractical for riding. It would only weigh him down in Threadfall. Two, he's got a really small salary as a bluerider and probably wouldn't afford it, especially considering he's so young. As for the personality, the odd ability to talk to anyone actually isn't so odd. A dragon can always talk to whoever they want to talk to, but usually choose to not do so because they're picky.
Also, another thing that is great to learn about it grammar. I've noticed a lot of fragments and random capitalizations of words. So reread it, make sure everything makes sense. I'm usually not too picky, but when there's enough of it, I do feel like it should be mentioned.
So, in general, try staying a little bit more true to Pern and my storyline. That will automatically make things a lot better.

Hai~
All right, I saw Randeh already told you this, but I'll re-enforce it. ^^; Pending characters aren't put in the sub-forums. I move them there when I approve them.
Also, can you please format this to fit my character profile? I'll read it as soon as you do so. Thanks~ ^^

- Candidates are not allowed to be physically or mentally incapable: There will be no blind, deaf, paralyzed, etc. Candidates Standing. At all. They all go through a physical exam before being accepted so there will be NO exceptions to his rule.
- Candidates are ranked basically as Drudges at all times – save for when there is a Touching or Hatching, whereupon they are immediately elevated to the most important people in the Weyr.
- Candidates are not allowed to go to the Weyrling Barracks, Rider Weyrs, or Hatching Sands unless sent there by a Rider or by the Headwoman, and even then must have the Candidatemaster’s approval.
- Dragon Candidates must be between the ages of 12 and 25.
- Wher Candidates must be between the ages of 12 and 32.
- Candidates are not allowed to Stand for Salamandyr Hatchings.
- Candidates are expected to attend Lessons; failure to do so may result in being stripped of Candidacy.
Weyrlings: - Curfew: Weyrlings are not allowed to leave their Barracks until 7:00 AM, and are required to return by 10:00 PM.
- Weyrlings are expected to attend Lessons regularly, and will be held back from passing if they do not.
- Weyrlings are not allowed to Stand for Salamandyr Hatchings unti ltheir dragon reaches maturity.
- Weyrlings do not acquire their full Rider rank until their dragons and they graduate from Lessons, and still rank just over Drudges.
Flights and HatchingsGreenflights- Greens do Rise on Selenitas, though they rise only once every six months OoCly.
- Green dragon and wher Rise/Runs must be scheduled and put onto the calendar – simply contact an admin to do so.
- Green flights can only last a maximum of a week. If you pass the allotted time then your thread will be moved to the archives completed or not.
- Green firelizard and Salamandyr Rise/Runs can begin at any time without admin approval.
- Green dragons/whers/Salamandyrs do not clutch.
- Green firelizards can clutch, but rarely do – if you have a reason you want your green to clutch, contact an admin, but don’t be disappointed if we say no.
Goldflights- Golds of all species will be scheduled a time to Rise by the admins.
- A goldflight should last a maximum of four days.
- Goldflights will produce clutches, no matter the color they are caught by, though egg count will vary with the color of the sire.
- If you have a gold, do not ask for your gold to clutch another queen – if Selenitas needs another queen, you will be asked.
Hatchings- Both dragons and whers come with names. These are not to be changed, and please do not request for a dragon or wher to have a specific name.
- Hatchlings of all species also come with personalities. These will probably change over time, but do not change them without reason (i.e. a sweet, bubbly green becoming harsh and cruel because the writer wanted a harsh, cruel green, without anything happening IC to explain the change). Expanding it is expected, but please no random, complete changes – that defies the point of the queens’ players even going to the trouble to write the profile.
- Impressions are pre-chosen, and trying to force-Impress a hatchling (grabbing its head and making it look at you, or picking it up and stuffing food at it in the case of firelizards and Salamandyrs) will likely result in your Candidate being mauled.
- On the subject of mauling: It happens, in dragon and occasionally wher Hatchings. There will be blood, and there will be pain. If you’re not okay with this, make sure you let the person running the clutch know beforehand. If you forget to mention it, don’t flip out when your Candidate gets mauled. By neglecting to mention it, you’re basically giving the clutch runner permission to maul. There will be no deaths unless you request it, and your Candidate will be able to stand for another clutch after mauling, unless, again, you request otherwise.
- Don’t complain if your Candidate didn’t Impress. There will be other Hatchings, and whining doesn’t make anybody want to give you a hatchling. Hatchings are also final. This means if your character Impressed something you didn't want them to, you can't take it back. Impression is supposed to be a life changing event, let your character grow into it.
- Queen owners reserve the right to Impress to any Impression-aged person within their hatching. Enter your characters into hatching threads knowing that the above rule applies to those Impressions as well.
Characters and their RestrictionsMaking a Character- Use the template provided under the ‘Characters’ board; just copy and paste it into a new topic.
- Please ONLY post new profiles in the 'Pending' subboard in the 'Characters' board.
- Make sure your Character’s history is compatible to Selenitas’s – you may want to check the Timeline (under the History board) to make sure you’ve gotten the main things. Cookie-cutter histories won’t make the cut; Selenitas has a very specific history.
- Wait for an admin’s approval. You may or may not be asked to make edits to your profile.
- Once it’s approved, it will be notified, and the profile will be moved to its appropriate category.
- Do NOT start roleplaying until your character has been moved.
- If you have been inactive without informing us why beforehand Or have been inactive for more then two months, any golds or bronzes you have may be frozen or removed. As will any specials, special positions ect, you have acquired.
Restrictions- Queens of any species will automatically be rejected: They can only be Impressed IC.
- Bronze whers and dragons are allowed to be made; if you want a bronze, fill out the application form for one under the Request board.
- Neither firelizards nor Salamandyrs are allowed to be created. There are sufficient hatchings for both.
- Red hair and green eyes are limited. You may have one of each among your characters at any one time. You may not have both on one character, though.
- Twins are not allowed to be created at this time. Nor will your character be allowed to birth twins. We are at our limit for them currently.
- You may apply to be an HAD [Hears All Dragons] after you have been active on Selenitas for six months. Do not be surprised if you are turned down.
- There will be NO Level III HADs.
- HADs are female only.
- The levels of HADs proceed as thus: Level I HADs do not hear dragons talking unless they are addressed, but can mentally contact a dragon; Level II HADs can hear dragons talking even when they are not being addressed, but can block it out, and can mentally contact a dragon; Level III HADs can hear dragons talking, are unable to tune them out, and can mentally contact a dragon, and are usually greatly affected by draconic emotions.
- There are two HADs allowed on Selenitas at a time, and only one of each level allowed. The current Level II is Terilyn. There is no current Level I.
Cbox Rules- Respect not only admins and moderators, but everyone.
- Keep it pg-13: no overt mentions of sex, including euphamisms for it. Innuendo can be appropriate.
- Do not link inappropriate (aka, non-pg-13 things) in the cbox.
- Do not mention other roleplay sites.
