Purfriggidity gavinormol BEAUTIFUL! The pressure around her ankle alerted her to the large brown before the voice in her head did. Startled by the unfamiliar voice, Kaegan jumped a foot or so in the air before pressing a hand to her breast and taking a breath. Widdaoogle farrr... Dropping her gaze down to the 'mandyr that had attached himself to her ankle, the Werywoman cocked her head to the side before smiling slightly. Bending over at the waist, Kaegan offered her hand to the young male, wincing as he scrambled up to her bandaged arm before curling around her wrist. Prettypretty. FOODFOOD. "Okayokay... now where is it?" Shifting her attention to the hunt for food, it took her only a few moments to locate some extra morsels, and it took about three times less time for the Brown to gobble down all of them. Beautifulbeeaaaattuuufuulll. "Goodness. You are fast..."
Letting her smile spread into a grin, Kaegan glanced about before leaning against the wall. By Farnath this young one is so fast... FastfashmashDashDASHDASHDASH. "Calm down little one." Chuckling slightly, the Goldrider stroked the Brown before turning to K'nam and F'rah happily. "Look. His name is Dash." Cradling the Salamandyr in the crook of her arm, Kaegan chuckled as he attached himself to her sleeve with a gurgle like purr. Beautiful erihngakal.

"Your welcome." Quietly watching as K'nam took the seat opposite of her, the Queenrider happily bounced one of her feet as she waited for the man to speak again. Kaegan wasn't one to grow tired of anyone's company, save for those people who naturally are tiring to be around, and the Bronzerider wasn't any different. She enjoyed his company, he was almost like a calming presence, someone who she could talk to when life began to boil over. Twitching her foot to a stop, the Junior Weyrwoman flicked back the sleeve on her left arm before looking down at it. "I'm alright. Although the burns on my arms and the one on my side still hurt... but the healers just put some poultice and numbweed on them. It'll be a while till they fully heal. Oh and I had to cut some of my hair." Pointing at her shortened hair, Kaegan continued, "Fortunately the amount that was burned wasn't a lot." Rubbing the white bandages that had been layered up her arm, the young woman sighed thoughtfully before returning her attention onto K'nam. "But how are you? Are your burns healing well?"
When she had first heard of what the Bronzerider and the others had done to save herself and Shmee, Kaegan was almost dumbfounded that they had risked their own lives to oust them from the fire. And, although she hated to be unequal, a lot of her gratitude had been directed toward K'nam (mainly because he was the one to actually pull her from the fire). The ex-Benden rider had risen to Kaegan's inner circle in record time, next only to F'rah and Shmee, both of which seemed to have treated her like family from the start. But how she felt about K'nam was a different story indeed, one that had yet to be fully sorted out.
"Oh! How is that 'Mandyr of yours doing? Last time I heard he was doing something drastic again."
---
Running a hand through his pain-stakingly softened hair, the young Journeyman happily gave up the woman he was dancing with to a different partner. It wasn't that he hadn't liked the woman, for her dancing was superb, it was the fact she hadn't shut her trap since she had been passed off to him. Quickly stepping off the dance floor, Cavelieran began to skirt the very edge of it, waiting patiently for the song to end and another to begin. At the very edge of his vision, the young man took note of Arienne's appearance through the entrance way, she was one of those people you couldn't /not/ notice. Rolling his eyes slightly as a man stumbled into him, Lier helped the man right himself before resuming his walk around the perimeter of the dance floor. Once, twice, and yet it was on his third time around when he spotted a lone woman sitting quietly, a small half-smile plastered on her face. With the face came a name, and it was now the Dolphineer's turn to smile slightly. The woman had bought him something earlier in the gather, so why not repay her by asking her to dance... that is if she was willing to.
Retracing five of his steps before weaving through the tables, Cavelieran made his way over to the woman's table, fixing his collar on the way. Stopping a respectful distance away, the young Dolphineer preformed a quick bow (as is formal when asking a lady to dance) before extending his hand slightly. "Weyrwoman Shmee? Would you like to dance?"
(Gina and Sara will come later. Even if they don't get asked to dance.)

After a while of searching, Kaegan had finally been able to pick out the Weyrling pair she had come with, quietly happy that the two had already been asked to dance. Gina looked as if she was having the time of her life, while on the other hand, Sara looked as if she found the physical contact disconcerting. Giving the two girls a hidden smile, the Weyrwoman began to pet the bronze flitter once more, letting her mind wonder to the musicians. Kaegan's father had taught her the basics of the harp, but she couldn't even compare to the Masters who were playing at this event, she couldn't even compare to a talented apprentice. Smiling as her foot bobbed to the rhythm of the beat, the Queenrider watched as the dancers on the floor twirled in unison, each of the womens' skirts flaring out like a Toy Top.
"Are these seats taken?"
She didn't have to look at the man to know who he was, though the young woman did so anyways, for she had heard his voice often enough to be able to identify him. Switching her gaze from the musicians to the Bronzerider, it was clear that Kaegan's vacant expression had transformed into one of gratefulness. She had thought that she would have to spend the night alone with no one but Gina and Sara to talk to, but at the moment, her vocal cords didn't want to work. If she had thought K'nam had looked wonderful before, now he simply looked marvelous. Although as her eyes picked out the color of his shirt, Kaegan couldn't help but smile even larger. "We match." Motioning to the empty chair, the Junior Weyrwoman happily interlaced her fingers. "Yes please, sit!"

F'rah yawned behind his hand as the students began to file in, he was almost drop dead tired, and was insanely glad that it wasn't going to be a busy day... at least for him it wasn't. In fact, the Weyrlingmaster had to do little more than usher out a spiel or two and then fly around lazily, with a few interruptions here and there. Sighing slightly as he stretched his bear like arms to their extent, F'rah winced slightly as his back and shoulders cracked. It had been a rough night on Watch duty, there had unfortunately been a small fire that had erupted and he was not only forced to help put it out, he had also offered to climb a tree and save a small bird family. "Alright everyone, settle down please." The wound to his shoulder had almost done healing, although the fact that this was the second time he had hurt his left shoulder left him thinking that it was like the universe wanted him to go lame. Shaking his head as he waited for all of the Weyrlings to settle down, F'rah stood as if to loom over the Seniors. "First of all. Congratulations. You are all now Seniors, and with Seniorship comes responsibilities that you did not have as Juniors. Such as helping the Juniors- becoming their mentors. Most of them are still new to this Weyr, and after the incident I know for a fact that a few of them are insecure. So please, do your best to become friends." Clearing his throat slightly before shuffling a stack of paper, the Weyrlingmaster rubbed his temple before beginning again. "So I bet you are all dying to know what we are doing today, so here it is."
Taking a few moments to scratch out the day's lesson plan, F'rah flicked out his pointer before tapping it on the first section. "Mating Flights and what to expect! Ohhh. Ahhhh." Swinging around and redirecting his pointer stick at his Weyrlings, the Wingsecond wiggled the end of it. "Then we will be having a scavenger hunt in teams. So please. Sit quietly, soak in information- because believe it or not this is very important- and then we will be able to move on."

"Shut. Up." Clenching and unclenching her fist, the raven headed woman had to use all of her will power to not flat out kill her friend.
"But your so pretty."
"Thats it. I'm going to go put on some pants and a tunic." Whipping around and directing a glare at her friend, Saraina tried to storm off in a huff, but Gina's quick thinking stopped her in mid-step. Growling unhappily, the Blueweyrling reluctantly let herself be dragged along, wishing to all the beings on the planet that she could get a moment to slip out of the dress she had been forced into. It was a pretty Red dress, and to Saraina the only good thing about it was that it was easy enough to move around in, she could even fight in it if need be. The sleeveless dress gave the Bluerider freedom from the night's humidity, and the dress was short enough that it fell to just above her knees, which was (to her) neither to long nor to short. The body of the dress followed her curves, that which have finally filled out to an acceptable size and width, giving her an hour glass appearance. And if it wasn't for Gina nearly hogtying her down and forcing the dress onto her, Saraina would have come to the dance perfectly happy and in some pants and a tunic.
"Come on!"
Looking behind her as the Greenweyrlig's voice somehow jogged her memory, Sara wasn't to surprised to find the Junior Weyrwoman missing from the trio's midsts. Good. At least one of us wont have to suffer beside this crazy woman. Although her worry wasn't sparked by the Goldriders disappearance, she had her firelizard with her and he knew where to go if something happened. Looking back to Gina, Sara sighed quietly before trudging along behind her, deciding that next to the Greenweyrling she was going to be unnoticeable. For the other girl had on a vivid sky blue dress which had wisps of silver drawn across it like the clouds high above. The sparkle of her dress matched the sparkle in her eyes, drawing her irises out from their dull blue and into a brighter shade. Curves up-played for this special occasion, made the normally conservative girl more playful than ever, hopping to attract the attention of both men... and women.
----
Cavelieran fixed his light blue waist sash before sauntering into the open air of the Dance square, for once happy to be assaulted by the smells and sounds of populated party life. It had been a while since the Dolphineer had been around people, so the Gather couldn't have happened at a more perfect time. He had just come back from a circuit run with his Raidy, and two months without people proved for a very deprived Journeyman. Grinning as the young man tapped the toe of his newly shinned boot on the ground, Cavelieran tried to pick out some familiar faces in the crowd. There were many Blossom Holdfolk in their finest milling about, but there were also a good handful of Selenitas riders scattered here and there. A single step forward took the Journeyman right into the edge of the thronging crowd, though it didn't take much to maneuver his way through it. Pulling down at his dark blue tunic, Cavelieran finally made his way to a chair near the dance floor. Sitting down with a thoughtful look, the Dolphineer brushed some dirt from his dark slacks as he began to decide who he would ask to dance. He was there to dance, and Farnath forbid if he didn't!

Quietly entering the dance square, the young woman seemed to simply float behind the pair of girls that had drifted in front of her, both seeming vibrant in comparison to the Queenrider. Her curly red hair had been bound back by small delicate flower hairpins, pulling and placing her hair around her face so that her eyes were accented. Yet those weary green optics never left the floor as she silently wove her way through the slowly growing crowd, though the graceful way she moved had to draw at least a few sets of eyes. Whisking the fabric of her dress away from a small spill, Kaegan subtly shifted away from the two girls she had come with, if it hadn't been for those two she wouldn't even have been here tonight. In fact, the Goldrider would have been sitting in the Weyrlingmaster's apartment and playing a good game of chess.
Even the dress she was wearing had been picked out for her, although her supplier was a surprising change of feminist attitude. Saraina had nearly stuffed the dress in into her arms, saying that she had no need of it and that the Goldrider was around her size. If there was an alternative motive, Kaegan hadn't had a chance to ask it because by the time she had recovered, the young ex-thief had exited the room as if she hadn't been there in the first place. The dress itself was of a leafy green material which seems to shimmer slightly in the glowlight, while a dainty fawn color lined the areas around the cuffs and borders. It wasn't an extremely fancy dress, in fact it was a rather simple pattern, it was the way it flowed like liquid when she moved that entranced her. It was exactly the type of dress that Kaegan considered her favorite, simple but also able to be considered lovely. How Saraina knew that out of all of her hidden dresses that this was one that she would like was beyond the young Weyrwoman.
"Azie..." Stroking the blob of Bronze on her left shoulder, Kaegan located the nearest unoccupied table before settling down into the wooden chair. The Firelizard was her company for the dance, since she had wondered off from Gina and Saraina. Sighing, the young woman crossed her legs before propping her head up with a hand as she rested her arm on the table. "...they look like spinning flowers." Her comment was directed toward her little bronze, but it was about the dancers on the floor.
(The other two will come in a moment)

Squeaking slightly as the Salamandyr rolled into K'nam's leg, Kaegan eyed the little blue with weary interest. It was bright blue, almost as if a small amount of lighting had been captured in a jar and shaped into a little animal. Although the large blue didn't keep her interest for long and it was soon redirected back to the noisy clutch in front of her. The young 'mandyrs seemed to be running amok in the little stall in which they had been lain, still, it wasn't long before two of them escaped from their confines and scampered into the darkness. /Mine. Where are you?/ I'm in the stables Millieth... watching a Salamandyr hatching. Very interesting so far... /Just as long as you don't go bringing one of those nasties along with you./ Be nice. /They are worse than Firelizards. You know how I don't like them./
Making a noise in defeat, the Queenrider quietly resigned herself to thinking it wouldn't be her fault if one of these babies decided to choose her. Hiking up onto the tips of her toes, Kaegan leaned over the edge of the wall, crossing her arms and resting her head on top of them. She silently debated with herself which one of the eggs would hatch next...
---
It had been an interesting hatching so far, although, F'rah didn't know if this was the normal for Salamandyr hatchings... since he had never witnessed one first hand before. Three of the 'mandyrs had impressed to the people around him, one of those few being the other male in his trio. Cracking his neck slightly so that a small pop brought relief to the stiffness that had settled along his shoulders. From a Green, to a white, to a blue, the 'mandyrs quickly attached themselves to the humans. The impressions made him wonder what having a Salamandyr, or even a Firelizard, was like. All the little ones he has ever had were domestic felines and canines, including the two Felines that were resting comfortably in his cot right now.
How are the Cats? /They are fine Rahmine. The female has chided the male into playing with her. They are rather adorable creatures if you ask me.../ Chuckling slightly at what his dragon had to say, F'rah stopped only to yawn. He was here because Kaegan was here, as soon as she wanted to go, he would go also.

"F'con and the others say they'll help me get a Runner... I guess they've finally convinced me that having one would be good for me." Shrugging her shoulder gently as she looked to both of the men flanking her sides, the young Goldrider coughed slightly before sighing. Both F'rah and K'nam had insisted on accompanying her to the stables so late in the afternoon, unfortunately for all of them, it was the only time she had to visit with the Stablemaster. Kaegan was, for the most part, doing a fair amount better than she had been a week or more ago. The young woman had taken a while to bounce back to a state the healer's deemed 'stable', but the burns and emotional stress still remained as painful as ever. And although she had been promised that the burns she had sustained would stop their seething, she felt like they would never truly go away.
Shaking her head slightly as she looked from one of her 'guards' to the other, Kaegan coughed once again before turning her attention to the looming wooden fortress that held all of the Weyr's Equines. It wasn't long before the young Goldrider could pick out the distinct shapes of people standing around a particular stall as they entered the beginning of the housing entrance. Shrinking back almost immediately, Kaegan hid herself somewhat behind the Bronzerider before looking at F'rah. Watching as her silent question went to be answered, the girl latched onto K'nam's sleeve all the while giving yet another cough. A few moments later the Weyrlingmaster returned with a reassuring smile, and carried a sort of merriment around him.
"Don't worry. Seems like our First Salamandyr Queen's eggs are a hatching."
Obviously relieved of the innocence of the source of commotion, Kaegan made her way closer to the Stall with quiet footsteps. Nearing the stall next to the occupied one, the Goldrider slipped into it, hoping that no one would see her. Peering through the metal fence in the dividing wall, Kaegan was able to clearly see the eggs on the straw and sand covered ground. "Oh my."
--- F'rah
Clad solely in darker colors (mainly consisting of a forest green tunic, dark brown leggings, and black boots), F'rah quietly walked beside his childlike Junior Weyrwoman, like a wraith prowling in the night. And although he was wearing clothing that was just a few shades darker than Kaegan's emerald colored dress, the Weyrlingmaster seemed to blend in with the fading light around the trio. If not for his metallic knots that rested on his chest, the man could have passed as a forest guard for a hold, simply just disappearing into the vegetation around him. His mind had wondered from Kaegan and strayed to Laurie, he missed her greatly and was comforted in the fact she was perfectly fine after the horrendous battle on the hatching grounds. For the longest time now, he hadn't been able to take more than a few moments to be in her company, the Weyr simply sucked up much of his time these days.
"F'con and the others say they'll help me get a Runner... I guess they've finally convinced me that having one would be good for me."
Blinking as the Queenrider's words woke him up from the trance he had seemingly gone into as his mind mused over Laurie's attractiveness, F'rah quietly cleared his throat and nodded quietly. A runner would be good therapy for the young woman, he had seen people make amazing emotional recoveries because of them before, he didn't see any reason why it wouldn't work now. Smiling down at Kaegan as she shifted her glances between himself and K'nam (who he was still a little wary about, mainly because he was fatherly toward the Goldrider), the Weyrlingmaster made sure to match his pace with hers. As the three drew up to the Stable, F'rah was quick to pick up on the hushed noises coming from inside of the housing area, and when Kaegan stepped back he needed no other signal to go look. Humming slightly as he wondered over to the nearest person he could find, the Wingsecond struck up a friendly conversation with the Stablehand. "So whats with the party?"
"Its one o' the drat'd 'mandyrs clutch. It'd be a hatchin' right now ya' see, and it's got all of the Equines all antsy an' the like."
Raising an eyebrow as the old man bustled off grumbling, F'rah quietly returned to the duo with a smile. "Don't worry. Seems like our First Salamandyr Queen's eggs are a hatching." Watching in surprise as Kaegan silently made her way toward the crowd, the Weyrlingmaster shrugged before following her. Happily positioning himself outside the second stall, F'rah was sure to stand in sight of both the 'mandyr hatching and his Junior Weyrwoman, appeasing both of his current interests.

F'con
Slowly walking around the man, like a cat circling its wounded prey, the Bluerider grabbed a fist full of the Bronzer's hair before jerking his head back. Kneeling on the burning sand, F'con raised his dagger to the man's neck, pressing it in slightly. "So much for the Great Bronze Riders of Benden." Slowly applying force to the edge of his blade until a thin line of blood was drawn, the ex-fort rider smiled as he lowered his voice. "What is it we say... oh yes. Just another casualty of war... Fort and Selenitas will defeat your precious Weyr." Then without any warning, F'con pressed down hard and dragged his dagger across the man's throat. Spitting on the sand next to G'mor, the Bluerider tossed his hair before zeroing in on the Weyrlings fighting. Loping over to the expanding group, F'con launched himself at the man attacking his brother's charge, rolling away a few moments later with a small cut to his arm. Making sure he had some room between himself, the Weyrlings, and the man, the black clad man hissed unhappily. "Didn't your mother teach you its bad to hit girls."
---- Gina
Pandemonium erupted around her in a split moment of time, flitters had joined the fight, bringing the noise level even higher than it was. Glancing around to get her bearings, Gina gasped as she watched a man attack Saraina and began moving herself toward the two. Hesitating as she saw her friend somehow handling herself, the Senior Weyrling took account of the other scenarios around her. Deciding on her next action, Gina quickly darted over to the troubled Benden weyrling near Darya and grabbed her dagger arm exactly when I'mny attacked the Bronzerider. Giving the girl no time to move before she began speaking, the Greenweyrling almost pleaded with the girl as she pinned the other Girl's arms behind her back. "Shhh. Darling you could be free of Benden! Stay here and be free of those nasty men! You wont have anyone telling you to kill in cold blood! No one will ever hit you or punish you like these men! You can tell your Dragon to hide here!"
--- Saraina
If there were any high deities in the starlit heavens above, Saraina praised all of them for her ability to move fluidly like a dance. If it weren't for that, the Senior Blueweyrling would have been dead ages ago as the Bronzerider lept at her with his dagger. Parrying and dodging, Saraina took on a completely defensive front against the man, she knew she wouldn't last long enough otherwise. Dropping down to her knees to avoid a particularly nasty stab, the young woman quickly did a forward shoulder roll to dodge a downward thrust. Hopping to her feet a few seconds later, Sara turned just in time to bring her dagger up in a block. The pure power of the man slammed the hilt out of her hand, forcing the dagger to go spinning away into the chaos. Stunned, the Senior Weyrling threw herself to the side just in time to spin away from a lethal thrust. Although the dagger caught the side of her arm and she felt her skin slice into a deep gash. screaching in pain as she landed on the hard floor underneath her, Saraina was only just aware of F'con jumping the man attacking her.
(The others will come soon)

Changing glows was defiantly one of her least favorite of the chores, that is, if anything ever assigned to her was more than boring at the most. The tedium of this particular task always threatened to induce a rousing bout of... drowsiness. Slinking about in a show of boredom, the Senior Weyrling yawned before changing out a glow basket for a new one. /Lovely. Why must they assign you chores? ... Can I force someone to not give you them?/ No Hokth. Its just a way to "build character" and "instill a sense of equality"./But... we are better than the others./ Sure, in some ways. But my Trickster... we are still low on the pecking ladder. Raising an eyebrow in humor as her Blue grumbled something about being in control, Saraina exchanged another Glow for a new one.
It wasn't long before her attention wained from from the task at hand to the people around her, although most of the Weyrfolk eating were either worn out Weyrlings and candidates, or exuberant Riders. None of these interested her in the least, although as her eyes settled on one of the others on Glow basket duty, the Blueweyrling's trance broke. Slinking quietly in the shadows, Saraina quietly made her way to the girl with a smirk, although it disappeared as she snuck up behind her. "You know. It isn't very polite to eavesdrop on conversations... who knows what they could be talking about." Her voice might have been quite, but it came out in a hiss. Leaning against the pillar behind the girl (now identified as a candidate) the young woman maintained a completely straight face. It just wouldn't do to break the mood.

Quietly dodging around the multitudes of cooks and servers, the uninterested Greenweyrling brought supplies to the different work stations. Kitchen duty was not her favorite chore of them all, she hated the stark heat of the fires and the overpowering smells of everything cooking mashed together. The only thing lucky about her being assigned to this particular chore was the fact she was about to change jobs and become a server. Depositing the last of the bowls of chopped up fowl breasts with a particularly robust cook, Gina skidded to a stop just in time to avoid colliding with a large platter wielding drudge.
"Hey you! Watch where the shards you are going!"
Growling something foul in return, the young woman slid under the platter and down toward the front of the kitchen. Snatching up a clean, unsoiled apron, Gina quickly disposed of her old one before donning the new one. Squeaking as one of the master chefs appeared out of no where and dragged her with them, the Greenweyrling groaned as she noticed the heavy bowls of soup that awaited her. Damn them....

Watching quietly as the fourteen students retrieved their leathers at various paces, F'rah sighed as he saw Saraina dawdle lazily in her chair before deciding to actually retrieve her leathers. Standing up a few moments after the young female Blueweyrling sat down, the Weyrlingmaster glided around the side of his desk before making an abrupt stop right by the door that lead to the landing platform. "Alright, I will take three Weyrlings at a time. These will be your partners for the rest of the day, and no. You cannot pick your partners." Clearing his throat at the multiple groans of protest, F'rah continued only after his students had become quiet.
"Group one is Rielana, Cezine and M'meer. Group two is Beka, Saraina and R'lor. Group three is Religna, Gina and C'lyrn. Group four is L'lar, S'ylon and D'ton..." Continuing to name the other groups, the Brownrider took no notice of the reactions that took place as the students hopes for being with their friends were either dashed or made. "Rielana, you are group leader for your group, the same for Beka and C'lyrn. So you and Beka will be the first two." Waving the Green and Blue werylings through the door, F'rah stood sideways in the doorway so that both the girls and the others could hear his next instructions. "Alright girls. Please call Jeminorth and Thoth, then begin attaching your leathers. Signal me as soon as you are done so I can inspect them. We want to give everyone a chance. After you both are done, please wait near the river." Pausing to see if they understood, the Wingsecond nodded before turning his head to the other students. "C'ylrn and Sara are next. Then Beka and Gina, then Religna and Cezine..." Continuing to list off the names from the other groups, F'rah waiting quietly for the girls to finish strapping on the leathers.
----
She knew exactly what the Weyrlingmaster was thinking when she dallied in her chair, it wasn't exactly like his face was a bound book, at least to Sara it wasn't. She had been around the Brownrider for so long that she could guess almost perfectly what his next move could be, but before long she stood and wondered over to her leathers. Hokth had been even more bossy lately with the others, but Saraina attributed it to the fact he was still growing at an alarming rate, just like the other young dragons. /Mine... are we flying today?/ Yes lil trickster. We will be flying today... although it'll be in groups. /Oh. So we are the leader again, right mine./ Nope. Beka is the leader of our group. /Impossible! WE are the best there is! The best of them all!/ Settle down Hokth. I think you'll survive not being in charge for a day. Chuckling to herself as her Blue grumbled unhappily in her mind, the young woman slowly got up to slouch by the landing door.
---
/But they should make the QUEEN be the leader! Although, we do want the Bronzes to be smart and willing to lead.../ Raising an eyebrow at her Green as mused about whether or not she was alright with the Bronze leading her, Gina quietly scratched at a bit of dried dirt on the large Aft strap in her bundle of riding leathers. It was good to be doing something labor intensive after such a long time of simple scroll work and tests, it felt like they were actually going to accomplish something. /... then again, I'm going to lead the weyr someday.../ Rolling her eyes slightly as her Green's thoughts rolled through her head once again, Gina silently lugged her riding leathers off of her table and nearer to the door, happy to hear that she would be riding in a group with Religna. "Hi Religna."

F'rah
Who ever made sand ten times harder to maneuver in should be drawn and quartered, at least, that was what the Weyrlingmaster thought at this moment in time. The smell of burning, sweat, blood, and a numerous arrangement of other things assaulted his nose as the battles drew out in time. Not only that but the heat from the Fire and Sands made small runnels of sweat drip down his face, causing the Wingsecond to wipe his face free of it. Grunting loudly as T'nai's knife pierced his shoulder, F'rah snarled as he stumbled backward, the trickle of blood quickly started to stain his shirt. "We're not done yet!" Dropping to a crouch as the man stabbed at his chest, the Brownrider took the open exposure to launch his unhurt shoulder directly into T'nai's fleshy area under his ribs. The power behind the Weyrlingmaster's leap would in all likely hood, knock the man from his feet, and hopefully dislodging his dagger from his grasp.
---
F'con
Smirking slightly as the man began to howl in pain, F'con quietly slouched into an defensive position. Although the snort that erupted quite loudly from his nasal cavity alerted the other man of what he thought of his "noble leader". "You my friend, are the fool. C'leon is nothing more than a savage cave crawler that will never compare to Fort... or Selenitas." Shifting his leg to catch the man's kick with his shin and calf in a simple side block, the Bluerider snaked his arm toward G'mor as the man's leg fell back to the floor. Slashing his blade with a heavy flick of his wrist, F'con quickly danced away from the Dragonrider once more, content to wait for another move by his opponent. That was his style; wait, defend, quick strike, repeat. Little energy is lost on his end, while his challenger expends a decent amount trying to get at him.
"C'leon is nothing. A mere speck on the intelligence chart when compared to the late D'loro... and S'rei of course."
---
Sara & Gina
Involuntary shivers ran down their spines as the prospect of any of these tainted humans touching their bodies crossed their minds, but with that thought came a swell in their determination. Their knife skills were lacking in any true master like grace, but F'rah had taught all the willing Weyrlings where to stab so that the wound would cause the most damage. All they had to do was get a lucky shot in somewhere vital, to at least incapacitate the Benden Riders for a good amount of time.
Flicking her dagger into a better position as the men began to surround them, Saraina snarled and slashed at one of the men when they got to close to her part of the haphazard protective ring. "Scum. You're nothing better than a bunch of fungal encrusted murderers." Hissing again as she slashed at another man when he stepped in to close to her, Sara felt her dagger rip through the material of his shirt, whether or not she connected the metal to his flesh could only be a guess. She might consider more than half of the Weyrlings proper little snots that deserved scathing remarks, the Blueweyrling would not let these men touch any of the unprotected. They were hers to bully, not Bendens.
Baring her teeth in a despising snarl, Gina lifted her Dirk in a threatening manner... at least she was pretty sure it was threatening. If these men thought they could even think about touching the Weyrling girls, they were going to be sorely mistaken. Once they threatened the other girls, the Greenweyrling's hackles raised, increasing her hate toward the Bronzeriders. "We won't let you near our girls." Mimicking her friend and giving one of the other men a warning as they stepped in, Gina didn't chance glancing around at the other Selenitas riders who had come to help them. All she knew was that E'ri needed some serious medical attention soon, or his chances of dying would increase rapidly.

The haze of smoke and the heat of the growing flames made Kaegan curl up into a ball against the body next to her, mentally unaware of exactly what was happening around her. The world seemed silent, as if it was a string of moving pictures that no one could change. Feeling had been lost to the Queenrider, the shock and the state of her perilous dance with consciousness froze her nerve cells. Screaming, fighting, C'leon... they were all going unnoticed, and Kaegan slowly began loosing the fight against the blob of darkness that had ensnared her in it's grasp. The hatching grounds slowly started to leech its bright colors, and the edges of her vision began to grow fuzzy once more, each second that passed brought her closer to total unconsciousness. It was only when the young goldrider accepted her position that the images of her friends and family began crowding into her mind's eye, allowing her to make fake amends with the people she would be leaving behind.
Unknowingly shutting her eyes against the blazing heat of the pyre, Kaegan withdrew fully into her mind, no longer wishing to take part in the travesties occurring around her. It wasn't long until the redhead become fully unresponsive to Shmee's touch or words, at least in the world created when one slipped into a coma wrapped her in gentle soothing darkness. Kaegan didn't wake or struggle when K'nam lifted her from the wood and freed themselves from the pyre, even the jarring jump did nothing to alter her current state of health. It was when she was in the arms of the Bronzerider did the darkness break into images, leading her by the arm into multiple dream sequences that she would likely not remember...
(sucky poooost. But hey... Kaegan cant do much when she's like... halfway dead. And... when Tashey is like dead herself. )

Grunting slightly as the man's knife slashed a cut in his tunic, the Weyrlingmaster ignored the small line of blood that had been drawn across his chest. This Bronzerider seemed to take a direct route with no thought behind his actions, and for the moment, giving F'rah the upper hand. Spinning to the side as T'nai thrust his dagger toward is chest once again, the Brownrider quickly struck out with his right hand, snatching the Wingleader's wrist in his hand. Twisting around, F'rah slammed the heel of his hand into T'nai's elbow before leaping away. "I wouldn't underestimate the riders here." Dodging another attack, and receiving another small nick to his shoulder, the Weyrlingmaster grunted in mock approval. Although scathing remarks escaped his mouth as he danced with the Benden rider, just as he would when giving his students defense lessons, in a way he was mocking the rider.
"Look at that sloppy stance... you call that a thrust? Ha."
---
There where two things wrong with what the Bronzerider had done; one was not take notice of the blade in his hands, and the other was to go for his hair. Growling like a feral animal, F'con tossed his blade from one hand to the other, driving the blade into the man's fleshy bicep. Not taking note of how much damage he had caused, the Bluerider quickly slammed his elbow into the nearest uncovered area before jumping away and reassuming the starting stance he had just been in. He had been lucky that the Bronzer had gravely mistaken his flexibility and had come in close to grab at is hair. Itching to rub the sore spot on his cheek were part of the man's blow had collided, F'con tried to force the soreness from his mind as he concentrated on his challanger... content to wait for G'mor to make another move.
---
Both of the Weyrlings had different expressions on their faces as they heard Sk'ler speak, one wore worry and the other sported a grim smile. "Unfortunately. You and D'ton, left one. We'll take the right. Everyone else, freelance, safe gaurd the others." Saraina had broken her trance for only a moment to jerk her head at D'ton, enforcing her words with a physical movement. Their chances of actually surviving the fight without any horrible wounds were... well better than someone could hope of a bunch of weyrlings. The two women knew that the expectation of killing the Bronzeriders were at an all time low, but that didn't mean they had a horrible chance at wounding or incapacitating the men.
Nudging Gina's foot into the right position, the Blueweyrling lifted the throwing daggers that she had been practicing with earlier. Although her true weapon of choice was a long dagger, these knives served her just as well. Flicking her wrist at an angle, Saraina crossed an arm across her chest before slinging it out and releasing the knife... sending it hurdling at the first man.
Quietly lifting the skinny dirk that she had taken from her friend, the Greenrider began to begin her breathing exercises. She would follow Saraina's comments, for she had little experience in fighting people taller than herself. Let alone she hated the sight of blood, bringing forth the need to calm herself. "Alright... lets do this."
