A shadow blotted out the sun, and Ba'sun had a moment to let out a sharp curse when Salenth landed on top of him. Well, nearly, at least it wasn't with a foot directly on his head. Ba'sun peeked up from an arm he had thrown uselessly over his head to view the underside of the large bronze. Had that been intention, or did the big bloke really not see him half-stuck in the sand. Either way, the bluerider went back to trying to dig himself loose handful by handful.
Until a little foot appeared, prodding his shoulder. Out of reflex Ba'sun snatched the foot and let out a playful growl to befit a sand monster. Not meant to scare, not really, but only scare in the way that children often played at pretend – squealing off in the other direction while giggling. Ba'sun smiled, tugging the kid closer by the foot. S'rei's kid if he wasn't mistaken. "A hungry sand monster – but – I promise not to eat you if you help me out of this trap."
He lifted his other sand coated hand up. He had pushed the sand well enough away from himself to push himself up.. pretending Miguel was helping him. "Nor eat you afterward, on my sand monster's honor."
Ekarth wasn't quite sure what to make of the scene. The woman he had his claws around didn't seem to notice him. It was very peculiar. The blue turned to look toward each of the awe-struck faces gathered around the torn nest. None of them even stirred when the growly-faced weyrleader drew near. Were the little eggs really that fascinating to make zombies out of the people?
Don't worry, Ekarth would save them all from the hypnotizing distraction.
Pushing forward, and the small blue easily wedge his way forward – at least enough that he stretched his neck down as if to get a close look at the eggs; the next second scooping all four of the remaining eggs into his mouth, sand and all, then jerking backwards with his prize. Ekarth leaped backwards, tail twitching as he waited to see their reactions. The next moment he bounded away from them and toward the waves breaking on the shore. Hi Ssal'One, The blue cheerfully greeted in passing. His tongue pushed one of the wiggling eggs to the front of his mouth..
From the sand mound beneath Salenth, Ba'sun gave a low grown. "Oh that's not good.."

The Vanishing Hitchhiker Green snapped at Star her front feet positioned on the shell of the cracking Sewer alligator egg. Unfortunately in the next moment her meal was being lifted away and she creeled piteously. No faaaaaair. She was hungry. Throwing a miniature tantrum she began to shriek and flap her sticky sand covered wings. At least until a shadow blotted out the sun. With a startled cheep the Vanishing Hitchhiker Green looked upwards and was greeted with the sight of teeth much, much bigger than her own. Oh dear! With a terrified cry she pushed off the Sewer Alligator Egg and waddled as fast as she could off scene and towards a man to had seemed to be striding to her in the first place. Face planting in front of G’tor the Vanishing Hitchhiker Green creeled piteously. Oh hers would not let the big monster eat her would he? Save her please. Righting herself she flopped over his bare foot. After he saved her could he feed her as well? Her first meal had sadly escaped.
The gold on Erilena’s lap sounded in a shriek as Ekarth hovered over her clutch, her talons digging into the greenrider’s thighs as she hissed menacingly and struggled to do something. Wincing the woman tried to still the gold to no avail. Her blood pressure was spiking which was not good. Her ichor was flowing quickly again and just as soon as she started struggling with a breathless rasp the gold stilled, her breathing becoming more and more labored. Still she didn’t stop struggling. Not much time left. With a soft sob the greenrider covered the dying firelizard's eyes with one of her hands. “It’s okay. It’s okay they’ll be fine. Some of them have already impressed and we won’t let anything happen to the others. Please. Believe me. I promise.”
A trembling hand closed over the firelizard’s head then. It was too much. She couldn’t let her suffer anymore. Reaching over she gripped the firelizard’s head gently and closed her eyes. “It’s okay darling. Everything will be okay.” With a swift movement Erilena broke the gold’s neck. A snap sounded and then the firelizard went limp. The greenrider gently unhooked the creature’s talons from her skin and clothing and cradled it in her arms. “I’m sorry. I really am.” Tears running down her face she rubbed them away with the back of an ichor soaked hand and looked towards the wrecked clutch and then at Ekarth. Feyrianth! Don’t do anything stupid.
A hiss sounded after Ekarth. I won’t. Bounding forward Feyrianth leapt over Ashlyn and charged after Ekarth. You know those aren’t yours. Please give them back. Mine didn’t try to save them just so they could die another way. Charging into the surf the four winged green pulled up in front of Ekarth and flared wide her four wings in an attempt to get him to stop. Why did you do that? Eyes whirling in nervous shades the green tilted her head at the other male.
Inside Ekarth’s mouth the eggs where getting quite the rider as they bounced and smacked into each other. Finally the Sewer Alligator Egg shattered completely the Killer in the Backseat Egg following suit as well. Two very wet and confused firelizards tried to get their bearing before the tip of Ekarth’s tongue brushed up against the Sewer Alligator Green and she gave a shriek of protest. Touched her! Without even a cry of warning she bit down as hard as she could onto the blue’s tongue and locked her jaws. Trying to upright himself the Killer in the Backseat Bronze gave a creel of displeasure. Rolling over he tried to get a purchase on Ekarth’s tongue and when that failed he latched onto his sister who hissed past a mouthful of tongue. GET OFF!!!!

Vanishing Hitchhiker Green Name- Color- Green #BDFCC9 #00FF00 Impressed to- G'tor
Physical Appearance-
Given the lack of exercise this green enjoys it’s not so surprising that she’s chubby. There is quite a thick layer of fat on her body that looks decidedly out of place with her small form. While she isn’t the tiniest green that ever existed she is most definitely on the small side. Her wings are a bit too small to easily support her weight so she generally only flies in short bursts. During mating flights she’ll have a tendency to use what air currents are available…or simply hitch rides on humans to avoid her chasers. She has found several curious methods of movement with her plump body if she cannot get a ride (though in this case she‘s more likely not to move at all). If she really must move on her own she has been known to drag herself or flop along in an attempt to roll.
This green is a startling clash of mint and bright, lime green. The two colours divide her body evenly, with her front half being mint green and her back half being lime green. Well, for the most part. In the middle the colours are very clear-cut and don’t blend together at all. The mint green slowly turns lime green towards her nose and likewise the lime green slowly turns mint green towards her tail. The mint green and lime green are both right next to each other and as far away from each other on this green. While this colouration is quite unique it is subtle and relatively plain compared with others with more interesting markings. All in all, she’s striking enough to warrant a second look but when she’s gone the phrase ‘out of sight, out of mind’ fits her well.
Personality-
Lazy to the nth degree, is this green. Pretty much the only time she can be deemed physically active is when it will save her life or the life of Hers (or Flights). This is not to say she doesn’t get around at all. She just prefers to find the way that requires the least amount of work. This involves perching on the shoulders of anyone moving and hitching a ride to wherever she happens to want to go. She has the unnerving habit of completely disappearing without so much as a chirp if her ride is either moving too slow or not towards her destination. In fact, the during trips with people she is utterly silent. Anyone who spent anytime with her would realize it wasn’t that she was unfriendly - she’s the exact opposite - but that she was concentrating so hard on the details around her. They’re just going by so fast!
Why does such a lazy green seek to travel around the weyr? She loves people! …and dragons, whers, firelizards, salamandyrs…pretty much anything that moves. She would try to befriend a wild feline if given the chance. Good thing so few go to the jungle? When not travelling on someone’s shoulder this green is no doubt chattering as loudly and as cheerfully as possible to all nearby. Her favourite place is, and probably always will be, the main hall. Given how friendly she is, Hers will occasionally have to fetch her from the main hall, because this green will prefer to fall asleep surrounded by people rather than make her way back to her home.

Serissa was a little zoned out, sure - even to a healer, this was carnage. Not to mention that she'd never seen much battle at Fort, at least not until then injured returned to the Weyr. Then she had time to help, or at least try. Not so, here. It was clear the Gold wasn't going to survive, and while Serissa wasn't on shift with Erilena, she recognized her as someone she'd seen around the infirmary. If the Greenrider couldn't do anything, Serissa doubted she could. Case closed.
On the other hand, Ildyth was keeping up a running commentary, comparing himself to every dragon there. The Bluerider actually put a hand to her head, trying to ignore Ildyth - if he thought she was trying to shut him out, he'd have a weepy tantrum and pout for a week. Ekarth's claws were given a confused look, and Serissa glanced up at the oddly skinny blue, waiting for him to explain himself. But of course, his words were drowned by Ildyth, who wasn't listening at all. She got a blue, and he - Ssuch beautiful... - got the green it looks like, but the rest of the eggs are bigger, aren't they MySeri? There is still a chance - like Ssuns? - for you to get a Gold, or at least a very large Bronze to catch all the golds. That would be good too, right? I think it-
Quiet, Ildyth, Serissa cut through her blue's babble, drawing her brows together in concentration as she tried to figure out exactly what had been said to her, and by whom. Just as she was about to ask the blue still hugging her (and seriously, what was that about?) he shoved past her, nearly knocking her over. "Were you talking to me?" she called after Ekarth, but it was too late. He'd picked up all the remaining eggs, and ran off with them. Without thinking about it, the Serissa chased the other Blue down, skidding in the sand and shouting what was almost certainly nonsense to anyone else around: "Hey! Blue! I didn't mean to ignore you, I couldn't hear you over Ildyth! Doesn't mean you have to take the babies away... come on! What did you want? Ildyth, SHUT UP!!"
This had no effect on her blue, who had trailed after her without a thought, not stopping his internal monologue. And it's a shame that bronze came, now I'm not the biggest or the longest, or probably the oldest, he looks like he has more scars than me. Or I have less than him? Yeah, that's it! I've got LESS scars than - oh wait, that green doesn't have many, either. Or the other blue. Hmm...

"Bloody..." G'tor utter a stream of curses learned from his fisherman father. What the shards was that dragon doing?! Since when did dragons eat fire lizard eggs anyway? With Star now safe and clear, it seemed as if the world wasn't just going to go back to being calm and peaceful. He should have know with the clutch already in chaos. Ruskeath moved to block Ekarth's escape with his large body, though Feyrianth already seemed to be doing a good job of stopping him. You should put those back. His voice was calm, even know, though there was a hint of firmness in his tone. The little ones have as much right to the sky as you.
G'tor was too busy watching the scene to notice the weight on his foot at first. Tervain was circling back, dropping Star on one shoulder and perching on the other herself. It was Star who saw the interloping first. Instantly the frill was back up as she dove under G'tor's hair. The mandyr-eating monster was back! It would get her! Hers should squash it! Star demonstrated with a picture, still raging under the dark hair. "What?" G'tor glanced down, careful not to move his feet, despite Star's grumping. He picked her up gently. "Well hello there, little miss," he cooed softly.
Star glared at her, though Tervain just watched impassively. The new green eyed Star greedily. It was good the food was here, now the nice man wouldn't have to hunt for her. Tervain chirped loudly in warning. Salamandyrs were not food, especially Star. This hatchling had better learn if she didn't want Tervain's claws on her back. "She's right," G'tor said firmly. "Star is not food. And you'll apologize for attacking her before I give you any." The little green looked up at Star with new interest. It wasn't food? Well now, that was different! With a series of bright chirps, she apologized swiftly and hoped they wouldn't mind her joining them. After all, he was such a nice and safe man, wasn't he?
Star went silent, refusing to come out, though her angry pictures stopped. G'tor had a feeling she was sulking now. Tervain seemed amused and ready to give the new comer a fair chance. Glad that was settled so easily, G'tor walked over to the downed wherry. Ruskeath would keep an eye on the egg crisis for him. He couldn't focus with the new one's hunger in his mind. "Looks like I have a new tagalong of my own," G'tor smiled sheepishly at Tenlie as he worked to get some of the meat free. The tiny green chowed down eagerly, much more than G'tor thought for one so small. It was like a second Star. "Well, little glutton, I'll call you Ranchan, alright?" She burped, too busy eating to care about the world just yet. Later though, that was another story.

Here you go and try to mind your own business for a day and not even bother a soul, and you go and get yourself in trouble, but why should K'sel expect anything else to happen to him? Misfortune might as well be his own personal calling card, and even though he was well enough removed from the chaos - he refused to allow himself to get caught up in the drama that surrounded the menaces - the sight of the Weyrleader and his bronze was enough to trigger a good bitch and moan from the brown rider. Leaving his weyr was not something that he should have done today, but honestly what could he do at this point? Hiding was for little girls...or as he would put it "pussies" and on his thinking rock he stayed as if all of this madness had simply come to him and not the other way around.
He wasn't even phased as the blue swept up those eggs in his mouth.
Pettahth meanwhile was busy attending to his friend the infamous Fey-One and sinking a few claws into the wherry himself for a pulled poultry sort of firelizard snack when Salenth landed and the honorbound brown went taught with attention for his Wingleader. Greetings Salenth... It was always appropriate to address those in charge, especially bronzes and he had never been one for illusions of grandeur, despite his rider's insistences that he develop some. You know...for fun or something since the dragon had been described before as a "wet blanket".
Any further discussion was cut short however (not that there was a whole lot else to say) when the blue scooped up the clutch in his mouth and his green almost clutchsister was thrown into a tizzy. Ohhh no. His upper half was quick to stand at attention as his flicked his wings anxiously. Ruskeath and Feyrianth seemed to have things handled well enough, but being alert was never a bad thing at all.
--
Impetuous green was taking forever. Forever-ever in fact, and as patient as C'zan tended to be, he still knew time was of the essence and began to take off towards the coast, or more specifically towards his own dragon. Nobody would catch them this one little time now would they? Not so fast Zanny... Oh? He looked over his own shoulder in search of a splash of dark green Peccadillo. Still she was nowhere to be seen and the rider was vexed as to whyyy his scheme wouldn't work. Salenth's is out and about. I...can only get you so far... Great. Just great.
The pair had to stealth their way to the coast, Viaqueth betweening to the safest distance he could muster before leaving the rider to fend for himself the rest of the way and there Peccadillo had arrived to their pre-arranged meeting spot with her best slave Mi'rah. Who was just a little bit ticked to see nobody there. Liar-slave! Wait did not! No see firelizard squirm now. HATE! "O-Oh really?" Because somehow despite all odds, the bronzerider knew exactly what his mandyr was saying and craftily made plans to intercept his wayward blueriding charge.
Poking his curly head out past the tree line and following along a path he had taken not so long ago (thank you adventures with Cr'oph) C'zan began stalking his way towards the commotion and got quite the eyeful. Was that Ekarth? With eggs in his mouth? By now the blue rider was crouching low to make up for the rather barren landscape of the open beaches and approaching closer and closer when...he was sat on. Yes, sat on mere feet away from the outer limits of the gathering and the weight suspiciously felt like either a couple of tons of firestone or one fluffy bronzerider, "W-what....are you doing?" Ahh yes, the quibbling could only belong to one and C'zan was quick to play off his trespasses with a good natured sort of smile, "Oh hello Mi'rah..."

Ashlyn's eyes widened as the blue scooped up the remaining eggs in his mouth.
"Wait what are you doing?" she demanded as she started after him. She bit back a yelp and ducked a bit as the greenrider's dragon lept over her to go stop the blue. The teen vaugly realized that the green that had tried to go after the mandyr had impressed but she was more worried about the eggs inside the mouth of the blue. Hopefully the dragon wouldn't swallow them.
Of course there wasn't much she could do only being a candidate. She turned back to the greenrider and saw that she had ended the gold's life. Ash swallowed. Well with her getting worked up over the blue stealing her babies it was probably for the best. Still, she hated to see the valiant fighter's life ended like that.
'Still she wasn't going to make it anyway.' she thought sadly glancing back at the blue. She hoped he gave those eggs back or he'd have some angry people after him.

Mihkal watched quietly for the most part. Then a blue dragon picked up the four remaining, unhatched eggs in his mouth! The teen's eyes widened at that, shocked. What on Pern was the blue doing? Was he trying to kill the firelizards that remained? They seemed to hatch faster, then. A couple of them Impressed, even. There were how many left not Impressed? Three? The bronze one didn't look like it had chosen anyone and there were two more that hadn't even come out. He doubted whomever rode the blue would allow it to actually eat the eggs. Wouldn't that be like cannibalism? The thought made his stomach churn in distaste. But he had never seen a dragon behave like this before. It was unsettling. Was he trying to take the eggs, then? Maybe that was it? Why would a dragon want to take firelizard eggs...? He didn't think his rider had demanded such a thing and the green who had been the one to summon them all went after the blue. Well, hopefully she stopped him. Mihkal, for one, wasn't exactly sure what was going on.
There were four left to Impress, so far as he could tell. Not many, and with the blue interrupting who knew if they wouldn't simply panic and go wild? He frowned at that. He had thought dragons were supposed to be intelligent but this one was behaving as though there were a few things loose in its head. Interrupting a hatching in this manner wasn't exactly the normal thing to do. And besides Mihkal had been semi hoping to Impress a firelizard. The blue might ruin his and everyone else's chance. With a sigh he watched and wondered exactly how things would turn out given this new incident.
xXx
"Oh no you did not!"
Alex had been watching everything up until the point the blue dragon scooped up four eggs in its mouth. What the hell did it think it was doing? That might be one of her sharding eggs in that mouth! She was quite irate with the wherry headed brute, and was about to storm after him when not one but the green beat her to it. Still, she wished at that point she had a dragon of her own. Or a large stick to smack the blue upside the head with. What if he hurt one of the firelizard babies? What if it was hers he damaged? Blood boiling she wore a stormy face as she wondered if there was anything she could do. She couldn't see inside the blue's mouth, what if the poor things hatched inside there? She hoped they attacked the inside of the blue's mouth and he let them out, if that was the case!
She'd be damned if she let that stupid blue kill or maim them. It didn't occur to her to wonder what had made him do it. Just that he had, and she was completely volatile about the matter. She had half a mind to search for that stick. Only the green could do a lot more than she could...there was nothing she could do except maybe fling useless insults at the dragon. Which would not be helping.

Miguel's dark blue eyes blinked once as his foot was grabbed, the boy clearly considering taking Ba'sun's words as truth - a solemn lad he was - but then he broke out into a broad smile when he realized this was a game of play pretend. He liked those games. Reiscia liked them even more. Too bad she wasn't here. He let his eyes widen, tugging to try to get his foot away and glancing around. "What trapped a sand monster? It must be scary. What if it eats me for helping you?"
Greetings, Ekarth. Causing trouble today? Salenth was clearly much less concerned about wandering dragons than S'rei was. (Weren't they supposed to be giving them a little more freedom here soon? Although His didn't seem to be of the opinion that they deserved it, sneaking around so much.) Pettahth. Hello. GrumpyMine is about to throw a fit, I think. Yours probably doesn't want to draw attention to himself. Then he noticed the two dragons chasing after Ekarth and Salenth quite literally facewinged, peering over the membrane of his wing at the crazies. He lowered it and let out a thundering bass roar to send it shattering through the chaos on the beach.
Hello Selenitas goofballs, Salenth broadcasted once he got their attention. If you'd kindly find the common sense you left behind on your ledges. Feyrianth, Ruskeath, if he was going to eat the firelizard eggs he already would have. Your chasing him is only going to increase the chances that he damages more by playing tag with you. Little weyrlings, I do not know what you are doing here, but I am sure your teachers will not like it. And what are candidates doing this far away from Selenitas? He ignored His, who was on the verge of exploding, and instead offered, Since we are all already here, let us calmly get about the business of Impressing these wild flits, which would do just fine on their own in the wild. Ekarth, if you would please bring the eggs close enough so all the people who have no patience to wait for one of our own hatchings might see them? They suffer from the Hatching disease.
Then, as an afterthought to His. Mine. You will not throw your boot. S'rei shot a glare at Salenth. "I wasn't going to-" Or the greenrider. He grumbled, looming over Erilena. "When you're finished causing trouble here, I want to see you," he growled. "BA'SUN." Salenth conveniently didn't let on as to where the bluerider was.

Mort trotted toward the major crowd on the sand, then slowed and blinked a few times, everything was a bit…chaotic, wasn’t it. For one moment Mort’s head snapped back to focus on the large, comforting figure of Azrath, the only familiar dragon on the beach, wondering if staying with him might have been the more sensible option. Mort normally wasn’t one to feel intimidated by crowds of people, but this one had an odd focus to it, and dragons mixed into it too, well the dragons were mostly around the edges, but one blue seemed to have wormed his way in a little further than that. As incautious as he might be at times Mort was well enough aware how easy it would be for a dragon to step back onto him (a risk to dragonriding he had not hitherto considered), so he moved around carefully, making sure he gave every dragon on the beach some space. Apparently the boy was unaware that his own beaded and belled hairstyle was bound to give his presence away to anyone within a mile radius.
Mort’s doubts on the subject of whether it was even worth remaining here when so many others were competing for the same pets were sidelined when the first firelizard emerged from the clutch and almost flew right into someone. Whether it was an intentional choice or a random selection based on who was closest Mort couldn’t guess, but he really should try and get a little closer, or even work his way around to a better place to see from.
Of course it had to be the moment that Mort found a nice space for himself when all hell seemed to break loose on the beach as a blue dragon, for some reason, scooped up the remaining eggs in his mouth, leaving Mort nothing but a view of the broken shells and lifeless hatchlings left behind by the wherries, not to mention inspiring all kinds of reactions up and down the beach as other dragons, and some few humans, converged on the blue, probably to try and make the blue let them go. However since he wasn’t feeling anymore persuasive than the people (and dragons) around him, and of course dragons didn’t eat their smaller kin (Mort had a curiously unshakable faith in the unquestionable goodness of dragons for someone raised in an era of dragon wars), Mort decided to remain where he was for now. It wasn’t even like the babies couldn’t just leave anyway, although it might well be strange for the dragon if a firelizard vanished from his mouth, or started flying around in there.
A moment later Mort was incredibly glad he wasn’t involved in the situation at all as the large bronze he’d noted on the way in let out a correspondingly massive roar and proceeded to broadcast a full scale lecture to (he assumed) everyone present. Why shouldn’t he be here? Mort made sure to keep the thought quiet because he wasn’t sure how much dragons could overhear. He hadn’t come through the jungle, and he’d brought someone with him, plus of course, this area was now full of people and dragons, making it safe for anyone at all to be there.
Oh well, at least it was breaking up all the chaos surrounding that blue. Could a dragon be simple? Maybe that one was and he didn’t quite understand the trouble he was causing, or maybe he wasn’t simple and wanted to make trouble. There seemed to be as many reasons for dragons to do things as there ere for humans to do things and it was certainly harder to read their faces. Nevermind, when he had his dragon he’d understand her perfectly, and she’d be able to explain other dragons to him too.
Despite a few mental proddings from her dragon Darya remained firmly seated during the first couple of Impressions, watching Mort wander through the crowd in an apparently random pattern without much real interest.
Then, well of course something had to happen, it wouldn’t be a proper Selenitas pet hatching without drama would it? Darya had always known they were cursed. However not even Darya in her most ridiculously cynical mood would ever have predicted a dragon attempting to steal the remaining eggs. For what purpose she couldn’t guess, but a few other dragons moved to intercept him, and it all showed signs of going more than usually insane down there. Fortunately (or not since Darya was very close to him) Salenth decided to take control of the situation. Although Darya really felt she could have done without that roar. Is he letting S’rei’s mood rub off on him or what? She asked Azrath once the bronze was apparently done with his speech/lecture.
Azrath merely swung his head around to look at his rider reproachfully. Perhaps Salenth finds all this as pointless as you do. However I am not about to ask him right now. I’m sure your ear is fine, do take your finger out of it.[/color]

It worked. The hypnotic hold the eggs had over the humans had been broken – and such angry faces they wore. He'd be angry too if little tiny eggs had power over his mind. Ekarth preened, most than content with the attention he had earned for himself. The small blue kept on his toes, dancing and weaving around the four-winged green that had pursued him the furthest. Aren't yourss either. He might of said more, if not for the pinching jaws on his tongue. What nasty little lizards, biting him like that – Ekarth spit out the remains of the shattered shells toward Feyrianth. Oh no! Dead babies! What horror!
The roaring should have stopped him, but Ekarth didn't, this time slipping forward and past the green in his way to land sphinx-like in front of Serissa. The princess was paying attention to him again – it's all the blue had wanted. He maw opened for her, one egg falling to the sand while he snaked his tongue forward to present to Serissa the two baby flits; one biting his tongue and the other clinging to the first. It was a silent request for her to remove them.
They sshould rejoice, Ssal'One. I releassed them from the trance of the eggss.
Ba'sun relinquished Miguel's foot, turning back to the task of shoving the sand far enough away to wriggle his way out of the 'castle' Ekarth had created. He laid on his chest by the kid's feet, squinting up at him. "It was kinda scary but not as much as that." Moving up onto his knees, Ba'sun pointed a finger in S'rei's direction. "I don't think there are anymore monsters around kiddo. If there are, your da' is going to eat them. In fact, I bet he's going to eat–" The bluerider winced at the shout of his name. "–me. Nice knowin' ya kid."
Right, someone probably needed to deal with the irate weyrleader. Clapping Miguel on the shoulder, Ba'sun stood and began his way across the beach. He casually wiped the sand from his front, pausing to glance up at Salenth. "For what it's worth, thanks for not squashing me." Ba'sun made a few more steps forward, working to maintain a distance between himself and the bronzer. Taking a step back if needed. "Hey chief," His hand shot up, palms out in surrender paired with an awkward smile. "Looking for me?"

I know they are not mine they are… The sentence never really finished.
The roar from Salenth literally had Feyrianth jumping a few feet in the air, her double set of wings snapping shut as she have a frighten cheep. Lowering her head till it was near touching the sand she looked up at the large bronze with a mixture of fright and nervousness. Whoops. Pretty much the perfect picture of a scolded child, the green responded quietly to the much larger male. My apologies Salenth. She had just wanted the eggs back. A look was tossed Ekarth as he spit out the shells. He didn’t really eat them did he? Momentarily uncertainty flicked though her gaze before the blue proceeded to stick out his tongue, flits attached. That was a relief. Another worried look was given her sire after Feyrianth had assured herself the babies where okay. Salenth didn’t seem actually angry at her so she proceeded to lower herself to the sand and carefully slink off towards Pettahth. Upon reaching the small brown she not so subtly wedged her head under his wing in an attempt to hide. Scary bronze was scary and her rider seemed to be in trouble. Whoops.
The Sewer Alligator Green was not at all amused and kept repeatedly kicking her brother, the Killer in the Backseat Bronze, in an attempt to get him off. As should be expected the little bronze was not at all happy about this and had just decided to throw a fit when Ekarth’s mouth opened and the Coriolis Effect Egg tumbled out and into the sand, cracking the rest of the way on impact and releasing a pale brown fire lizard. The Killer in the Backseat Bronze gave his brother a look before his whirling gaze fixed on Serissa. Now there was something to play with. Without so much as a apology to his sister the little bronze took to wing and made as if to head for the loose grouping of people before shooting back and shrieking right in the female bluerider’s ear. A remarkable imitation of an evil laugh followed before he blinked between to land on Ashlyn. Did his see how high he made that one jump? Another mocking laugh followed before the Killer in the Backseat Bronze gently tugged on the girl’s ear. His should feed him. Then he could concentrate better on playing.
The Sewer Alligator Green kept her grip on Ekarth’s tongue, adamantly refusing to budge. Instead her needle sharp teeth dug in deeper and she hissed her mind brushing lightly against the blue’s before it followed a mental offshoot and collided with Ba’sun’s. Like everything else the green clung to the man’s mind and nicely imbedded herself. Would hers kindly feed her? Which now that she thought about it might be a tad difficult with her mouth occupied…. Releasing the blue’s tongue the Sewer Alligator Green gave a hiss and betweened to settle gently on Ba’sun’s shoulder. A demanding creel interrupted his words to S’rei. Foooooood.
From back in Ekarth’s mouth came an angry shriek and a bolt of gold shot out from the darkness. The Bloody Mary Gold was not at all happy. Her anger however was directed straight at Ekarth and she landed on his nose, scolding him even as her whirling eyes then fixed on all the people around. With a startled chirp she examined the crowd, her eyes washing with what could perhaps be called an embarrassed shade. The Coriolis Effect Brown looked up at his golden sister and then seemingly uninterested proceeded to waddle a bit away from the scene and towards two distant figures. One of them looked a little round. Maybe he had food? It was worth an investigation.
Erilena didn’t notice S’rei until he was looming over her, his shadow neatly blocking the sun and drawing her attention to his presence. Startled and maybe just a tad frightened she managed to choke out a very polite and demure. “Yes Sir.” Her gaze returned to the dead gold fire lizard in her arms briefly and the greenrider gently laid it on the sand before getting to her feet. Another voice caught her attention and Erilena looked up to see Ba’sun approaching the little gathering. He must obviously be the other one the bronzer was looking for.
Trying to swallow down her nervousness Erilena turned to face S’rei, idly wiping her ichor stained hands on her already stained clothing. The greenrider’s eyes almost hesitantly fixed themselves on the Weyrleader's face as she simply waited for him to speak. Trying hard not to nervously shuffle her feet. Shards if she didn’t feel like a little kid about to get berated for doing something she really shouldn’t have done.

Killer in the Backseat Bronze Name- Color- Bronze #EEAD0E #8B814C Impressed to- Ashlyn
Physical Appearance-
This bronze is huge for his colour and is easily larger than small queens. However, despite his colouration, he is easily recognizable as a male up close. He’s all muscle and sharp angles. His wings are huge to compensate for his sheer weight. Large ridges aside, it’s his face that is truly masculine. His facial structure makes it seem like he’s constantly glaring at everything and his fangs are just long enough that if one looks closely they stick out a little bit when his mouth is close. The over all effect is that he looks scary. He’s certain to earn some screams, especially with his behaviour.
In colour this bronze looks a bit more like a gold than he’d like. He’s got just enough of the yellow in his hide that he could be either or. His size tends to indicate that he’s a gold. His face and left head knob is wrapped in a darker, grey-infused bronze. He has the oddest marking on this grey-bronze - two perfect circles of bronze-gold on the end of his nose. This grey-bronze runs in a line along his spine, spiking out at random intervals on both sides. It also completely covers his wings though it is flecked with his solid bronze-gold colour.
Personality-
This is definitely a quirky bronze. He has a ridiculous fondness for stalking people, dragons, and other flitters (with the notable exception of salamandyrs, ew) for the sake of scaring them. He’ll fly along behind them completely at ease one moment only to suddenly dart towards the person next and grab onto anything he can and shriek as loud as he can. Boo! He doesn’t even appear to care whether or not he actually does scare a person because he will do it over and over and over again. Or perhaps he’s just trying to make his target paranoid that he’ll do it again? Despite this odd quirk he is still most definitely a bronze - his only victims are females.
Males he avoids like the plague. If they insist on being in his company? Well he’ll just have to chase them off! They are not tolerated in the least. If one comes too close he will attack without hesitation with the intention to maim. Why do they deserve to die? That’s too good for them! Indeed, this is a very dark bronze. Females should beware of having him in their flights. He’s entirely likely to ignore a green or gold in order to get rid of all the other males present. Not to mention he continues his odd antics even in flights…He’s sure to be a real lady killer if the ladies in question happen to like a (seemingly) jealous stalker.
Sewer Alligator Green Name- Color- Green 258200 000E00 Impressed to- Ba’sun
Physical Appearance:
In size this green far outweighs most of her color. In fact she will end up measuring nose to tail tip with some of the largest blue firelizards in the weyr. It is not only in length that she is large either. Her build looks like it would rightfully belong on a male of her species and if not for her vibrant color it would be hard to accept that she is in fact female. Stout and robust, enough muscle packs her frame to give most firelizards and mandyrs pause before hassling her. While she sports a very large muscular frame her legs are short and stubby making flying her preferred mode of transport. Large wide wings give her the advantage of easy lift and although she won’t be the most graceful green in the air she will be a strong steady flier and possess above average stamina for one of her color. About the only thing even remotely feminine about her is her face. A angled and beautifully tapered head and muzzle are attached to a long swanlike neck. Her eyes are large and round and expressive enough that her face may even be considered cute…. If it not for the needle like teeth poking out from her upper jaw.
In coloration she is most definitely green. A pleasant shade to. That of a well manicured lawn in fact. The majority of her color is this vibrant green shade but she does possess some peculiar markings in a dark olive color. Her stubby legs up to the knee are splashed with this color and her ridges and wing sails are also this dark olive tone. All in all if not for her peculiar build she could probably be described as pretty. Certainly not beautiful but perhaps pretty.
Personality:
Appearances can be deceiving and such seems to be the rule with this little or shall we say big lady. At first meeting this firelizard will have you believing she is sweet as can be. Her voice is soft and sweet and she is adept at making herself seem harmless and cute. In fact she will often rub up against near objects as she chatters at you for attention. The message clear. Pet me, pet me. However Faranth help those that fall for this ruse. This female is anything but sweet. She just hides it well. As soon as you reach out to stroke this oh so sweet appearing female, her reaction is not what one would expect. The green goes from sweet, to trying to take your hand off almost literally. She is not above snapping and sinking her teeth into anything that touches her. This sadly includes hers as well. The problem being that once she sinks her fangs in. She refuses to open her mouth. For anything. Hers will no doubt be spending the majority of their time apologizing to different people while trying to pry their firelizard off the hand of her newest victim.
This isn’t to say however that the flitter is completely without good qualities. She makes an excellent watchdog for one. For two she is affectionate. However the affection is only shown towards hers and she seems to operate under the rule that she can touch but not be touched. She is only to happy to rub against hers and give them affectionate licks as long as they never lay a hand on her, even in affection. However it goes without saying that this will make oiling her quite tricky and hers will have to come up with creative ways to make sure her needs are completely met. In rising she obviously favors large browns and bronzes. After her rises however she will chase these males away in fury for daring to touch her. Only when the instinctual need to rise is upon her will she ever let another touch her. Beyond that she is perfectly happy to remain single with her bonded the only claim to her heart.

Ashlyn was thankful that none of the flitters had been hurt though she did worry about the little brown flitter. However her attention was occupied by the bronze flitter that suddenly occupied her shoulder after scaring the female bluerider.
"Oh hello.." she started as the flitter tugged on her ear. "Alright I'll get you something to eat." she added.. As she headed over to the wherry meat she wondered what she could name her new pet.
"Hmm..." she wondered as she fed him. The bronze tore into the meat with a delighted chirp. Ash smiled as she suddenly thought of a name for her new bronze.
"How about Loki?" she offered. The bronze paused then gave her a croon before tearing into the meat again. Ash rolled her eyes.
"Or I could call you glutton." she teased. Loki gave her a look that clearly said he wasn't impressed. Ash smiled and gently stroked his back. She turned her attention back to the blue as the newly hatched gold scolded him.
"Well I don't blame her. I wouldn't like to hatch in someone's mouth either." she said chuckling.

Ignoring the drama further down the beach - there was clearly nothing she could do about it - Ten smiled at G'tor, then leaned over to waggle her fingers close (but not too close) to his new green's face. "Ranchan? That do be adorable!" she said, approving. Cujo, his mouth still full of meat, hissed at G'tor and company, leaning out from Ten's shoulder and snapping his jaws at them angrily. Before he could leap over and start savaging poor Ranchan, Ten flattened him with a hand. "I think my Cujo will take some work, before he do be fit for polite company," she added, taking a step away from G'tor and scratching the Blue on the headknobs. "There, that do be better?" she asked Cujo, who hummed and nibbled on her ear. Much better, keep the nasties away.
---
Serissa, left behind amidst the flying sand of charging dragons, had stopped shouting before S'rei started. She'd had to cover her nose and mouth or be choked by the dust, and still she coughed once or twice before her lungs were - DRAGON.
Being a fairly cool person, not startled by much, Serissa didn't jump back when Ekarth landed in front of her, a massive forepaw skidding into the sand on either side. She simply crossed her arms and raised an eyebrow, waiting for him to explain. Instead, he simply opened his mouth, letting one egg fall and exposing the other two hatchlings, one of which had latched on to his tounge. With a relieved chuckle - he'd just been playing, clearly, no need for everyone to panic, but he'd gotten them all good - she reached out, neutrally projecting calm and relaxation to both flits, hoping they wouldn't take that as an invitation for Impression. All she had to do was get a finger on either side of the Green's jaw and squeeze, and her mouth would be forced open. It worked on everything from birds to dragons... She just didn't want to get bit...
But no such luck. The bronze took off on his own, heading off toards the people, so Serissa got her fingers on either side of the Green's jaw and - SCREECH. This time Serissa did jump, skittering sideways and whirling to face her assailant in a crouch, just catching a glimpse of goldish bronze before he went back between. "I take it back," the Bluerider commented to no one in particular, reaching for the Green again just as she dissapeared between. "I don't want one after all, I don't care what you say, Ildyth."
Oh, but they're so pretty, and fierce! And did you look at how big that Bronze is? He's yours, isn't he? That's why he screamed at you, he's just sitting on that girl because you're still with the Blue that tried to eat him, Ildyth explained, his tone brightly matter of fact. Ignoring him, Serissa fixed the skinny blue's eye with her own, and offered, "There. I didn't do much, but they're-" Not gone, apparently. A Gold swooped out, nearly clobbering Serissa with her wing as she turned to scold Ekarth. "Am I allowed to finish a thought today?" the Bluerider mumbled, crossing her arms again but making no move away from Ekarth. No need to have him eat the remaining babies.
Ildyth, who had wandered vaguely after Serissa when she first took off after Ekarth, now flopped down next to the skinnier blue, perfectly matching his sphinx pose down to outstretched tounge, and offered in a friendly, airy tone, Hello, I'm Ildyth, and you have Mine. I think my tail is longer than yours...
