"No! I do not want another one of you!" Uu'n argued with Dael, who was quite insistent that he come right now, thank you! Me say yes! Come now! The little creature was quite insistent, and Uu'n groaned. He was getting a headache from the little creature--he still wasn't sure if he forgave her for all the trauma she had caused him. Swinging off of his cot, the weyrling grimaced at the twinges from his various injuries. He'd certainly been badly injured... but at least he hadn't died. Not like so many others... He made his way to the Sands, where a very eager Daeluunya awaited, very proud of the Clutch she'd placed there. And they were rocking... "I really don't want another..." he groaned. Disagree! came the chipper voice from the salamandyr, who scampered over and ran up his leg, into his shirt, and popped out the collar, ending up on his shoulder, looking quite excited. Me eggs and babies! Uu'n sighed. Adith, can you let the dragons know that there's a salamandyr Hatching, please? the defeated weyrling asked. Yes, the dragon said, a tad grumpily, as he was supposed to be sleeping. All, there is to be a Hatching of salamandyrs in the Hatching Grounds. Any interested should go. Shifting slightly, the dragon returned to his repose...
Daeluunya’s Clutch The Rainforest Clutch: salamandyr/firelizard Center Rainfall Egg: Blues of all colors sluice down from the top of the egg to swirl with roiling treetops of green and black, looking almost like cloudbanks in the colors of the jungle. The base of the egg is completely brown-black, churning into greens and then the streaks of blue. Dead center of the Clutch, the rest are arrayed around it in perfectly concentric circles. Ring One Twisted Vines Egg: Writhing markings in all shades of green tangle across a black undercolor on this medium-sized egg. Blobs of brighter greens look almost like leaves, while the occasional pale splash looks almost like the pale blossoms that bloom on the jungle vines. And are those eyes peering from between the fat lengths of two vines? Forest Floor Egg: Blandly colored, in brown and grey, this egg is rather nondescript. Ugly little blobs, remarkably like fungus, spot the dingy egg in patches, as if someone swept away the ground cover in the jungle to reveal a mat of rotting leaves. A few specks of color mark it—a green leaf, a line of reddish insects carrying bits of food, a streak that might be a feather—but on the whole this egg is singularly unattractive. Parrot Egg: As brilliant as its neighbor is bland, this egg is crimson, aquamarine, sapphire, and emerald, all streaked in broad bands, like the feathers of a macaw’s wing. Careful examination reveals that each streak is composed of hundreds of tiny “v”s, all stacked together and surprisingly similar to feathers. It is an interesting texture, like ridged silk, but impossibly hard. Flying Buttress Egg: An interesting optical illusion, this egg is colored precisely to appear as if it has a trunk of a tree going through it. The swirling pinks and purples of the base color are lost in the amazement at the illusion, as the buttresses of the tree swoop out from the trunk to steady the egg. A touch shows that the illusion is due to the form of the misshapen and warped egg, which seems to have melted from the heat (though of course that’s impossible.) Ridges run from crown to base, wider at the bottom than the top. Redfruit Egg: This egg looks exactly like a ripe redfruit. A lovely shade of red, faintly mottled just like a read fruit, coats the egg in glossy color. So perfect is the image that the egg appears to be a small redfruit in all ways, down to the smooth, shiny surface of the egg. A small brown dot—and a dimple—near the top of the egg marks where a stem might have stretched, had the egg grown from a tree. Tangled Jungle Egg: Imposing and vibrantly green, this wild whorl of shades and hues draws the eye to it. Lying on its side, the only egg in such a position, it is clear from the marks in the sand and Dael’s constant exasperated righting of it that the creature within is active, even before Hatching. It is very hot to the touch and obscures the Ruins Egg almost entirely from sight. Ruins Egg: Squeezed next to the Tangled Jungle Egg, at first this egg is indistinguishable from its neighbor. However, glimpses of ivory walls and soaring towers peek from behind lattices of green leaves and tan branches, tantalizing the mind with the possibility of ancient wonders and unseen surprises. Ring Two Muddy River Egg: A dull green color, this egg would be completely bland, but for a streaky band of brownish color that wraps around the center of the egg. While not a very attractive egg, it is a large egg, and seems to “push” all the other eggs away from it. Undergrowth Egg: Puffy green blobs color this egg, as if some small child finger-painted green blobs on an object of indistinguishable color. The whole affect is somewhat silly, making the egg look rather out-of-place and almost like a cutout of an egg, rather than an actual egg. It’s impossible to tell what color the egg is behind the crude green “bushes.” Flooded Egg: Blue and purple, with streaks of a silver-grey, this egg calls to mind a river in full flood, with fish darting through the rushing waters. Also among the smallest of the eggs, this egg is sunk into the sand, almost like Dael stepped on it and forced it deep into the sands. But its colors prevent it from completely sinking into oblivion. Poison Frog Egg: Brilliant yellow, with pure black spots, this egg is poisonous in look and feel. Slick to the tough and almost slimy, it leaves the skin stinging from the heat, and feeling faintly disgusting. It is separated from the rest of the eggs by a fair margin, and tilted on its side as if about to leap and attack. Fallen Tree Egg: Languishing on its side, this egg is an ugly brown color. It looks rather like a rotting knot of wood, and perhaps it is imagination, but it feels faintly rough and powdery, and the fingers come away with a musty sort of smell that clings to everything. Imagination or no, it is an eerie sensation, and not one eagerly repeated. Stalking Eyes Egg: Pure, velvety black, this egg is beautiful, with small speckles like stars, a piece of the night fallen to the sands. That is, until you realize that the creepy sensation of being watched, observed, weighed—comes from the egg itself! And that those beautiful stars, are in fact, yellow eyes, watching from behind the shrouding jungle foliage… Shadowed Egg: Dappled and dark, this egg is tiny and mysterious, lying in the shadow of the Fallen Tree Egg… Spotted Feline Egg: A tawny brown, striated color, jaguar-type spots mark the egg in the patterns of the fur of a spotted feline, making it look very exotic and exciting. Large and round, it sits ontop of the sand, barely in a dent, as if it will bound off at any moment, perhaps off to chase a particularly tasty herdbeast… Sultry Heat Egg: Stunning oranges, yellows, and red, just like a sunset, except for the shrouding shades, similar to the sultry mists and fogs that wrap around the Weyr in the wet summer mornings. Hot and seemingly moist, this egg is settled deep in the sand, leaning towards the center of the Clutch. CenterRainfall Egg: Impressed to Kalierre: Bronze salamandyr Lust.First RingTwisted Vines Egg: Impressed to Ciara: Green salamandyr Chatti. All, there is to be a Hatching of salamandyrs in the Hatching Grounds. Any interested should go.
The message arrived to both males atthe same time, they had currently been in the kitchens not too far off from the sands. Sure, these were meant to be the Weyrling kitchens, but Ketoh had chores here today -- and Hinuk had simply followed -- desperate tog et out of the creche already. Most kids there were too young compared to him, and taking leadership over them proved to be wa to easy for the strawberry blond eleven turn old boy. Upon the mention of Salamandyrs his eyes sparked with life. Finally! Now he could show Ketoh just how much better than him he was!
Snatching two meatrolls from the table the boy dashed off first, a third being devoured in his mouth. Ketoh? The ale simply sighed, using his hand to stabilize the table as the brat went off. He'd lmost toppled it and his breakfast off. Calmly he finished the rest of his meal, before downing the now mild temperature klah. It felt good to have someting warm run though his veins. Heading inside the kitchens with the platters he made sure to wash them, setting them aside to dry, before he too grabbed a couple of eatrolls and followed the same direction in which his younger half-brother had run off to.
He got there soon enough, watching the younger one already jumping his eyes from one egg to the next. They were rocking, and he was more than excited to be here. Yes, he would impress the highest rank that got out of this clutch, Salamandyr of course, and thn show it off to the worl -- and Ketoh. Yes, he would beat him and everything else, and when he was old enough to stand on dragon hatchings he would beat him again. He would impress a Bronze, one day. He was sure of it.
"I bet I get the best one of them all! Salamandyrs are so much better than those weaker firelizards anyway!"
Of course, he brat hadn't the fantest clue what he was saying, he was just going by appearances. And boy, Salamandyrs might be smaller, but their looks were so much better than firelizards. Their tails could come off and regrow! A small apologetical glance was shot to Uu'n and Dael, Ketoh arriving in time to hear his younger sibling before rollng his eyes. Ever since he had been deemed a Candidate, and Hinuk too young to be one, the brat had been trying to compete with him in everything, wanting to get the highest he could possibly obtain.
"Hello there. I'm Ketoh. The brat over there is my hal-" "Cousin, Hinuk."
The youngest made sure to emphasize the word cousin well, sapphire eyes glaring into the honey pools f Ketoh as the male arched an eyebrow. So, his half-brother still couldn't believe the truth? Ah well, he guessed it was understandable. After all, he was still young. Someday, someday he'd open his eyes and accept the fact that they both had shared the same father, even with different mothers.
"Nice clutch, it looks very healthy."
A weak attempt to make up conversation, but the male guessed it should be enough. After all, he did meant what he said.

All, there is to be a Hatching of salamandyrs in the Hatching Grounds. Any interested should go.
Her blue Chast fluttered about her room, anxiously humming as he went about. He zipped this way and that, getting quite the exercise. Amir laughed lightly, her normally lazy blue always got excited with hatchings -- never mind this one was from a Salamandyr. Still, the creature had been caught by a bronze flitter, and that meant there would be both creatures in the clutch. Right? She wasn't an expert, but the female figured that much out. "Come on, ChastLove. Come, let's go see the babies." He dove for her as she crooned, the humming notes still vibrating strong in his throat. Passing a hand through his light blue hide softly she left the barracks, making her way to the Hatching Grounds. It took a while to reach the familiar site, she had been here countless times before -- failing to impress a dragon in each go. Still, she;d gotten over the emo stage of not impressing, and now took it in stride. If Hers wasn't there, then it wasn't, and she'd just try again and again and again. She still had quite a while before she was too old to stand.
"Hi there, Uu'n. Right?"
Though the Weyrbred Candidate had been here all her life, there were way too many people in this Weyr. Still, she had shared Candidacy with both those from the Cosmos and the Precious Hatchings, and she faintly remembered him. He had the photophobe Blue, right? A small sack of meatrolls was on her waist, Amir always carried due to Chast. She guessed they'd come in handy now as well. To pipe down the Blue a bit she handed him one, watching the over-weight beasty devour it and continue to hum. It was a miracle he didn't choke.
As she noticed another arrive Amir smiled, before watching as the girl seemed to realize she had brought nothing to feed the hatchlings with her. Taking out two meatrolls she gave them to Nayza, holding the remaining one in her hand. Sure, one meatroll was barely enough to make a hatchling content, but she already had Chast. And, though Amir would be content to have a new pet, she knew others deserved to have the chance to bond to one as well.
---
Chores were so annoying. The female grumbled, watching as two males bickered in one of the tables. One was a Candidate, that much she knew but the other seemed too young to be one. And then he had dashed off, almost tumbling the able over and giving her excess work. A sigh of relief left her as the other stabilized the table before further chaos ensued, the male finishing his meal before cleaning his plates and leaving. Where were they going with such a rush?
All, there is to be a Hatching of salamandyrs in the Hatching Grounds. Any interested should go.
So that was it! A grin spread through her features, the lass quickly following the previous two that had left through the same exit. Hatching! She wouldn't miss it for the world. And if the Headwoman got angered she skipped half her chore... Well, she'd make up for it later. Right now something much more important -- and exciting -- than a chore was occurring, and Nayza was not going to be late to it. She arrived just after another Candidate, recognizing the Weyrbred Amir. A soft greeting was given to the other, before she watched on -- only now realizing she hadn't brought any food with her, and she wasn't even sure if there was some available around here.
"Here, you can have some of these. There are more than enough to share." "Huh? Oh, thank you Amir!"
A smile washed over the younger lass' face, clutching the two meatrolls that she had been given. The other Candidate nodded, a meatroll in her hand.
Edit Reqqy: I'm sorry. It was just driving me crazy. ^^; I have odd OCDness, and one of them is double-posting. ShrimpNote: I only bouble-posted because Ketoh and Hinuk are meant to be Salamandyr Candidates, while Amir and Nayza are for the flitts. But it's alright, Reqqy. :3

I think you should go. It would do you good. Ith spoke softly, yawning and stretching lazily, tail twitching patiently. Ith never ran out of patience for her rider, she strived to understand, and though was nearly as quiet as Religna at times, she didn't mind company.
Religna glanced up, blinking at her dragon as she shrugged, completely prepared to go back to staring at nothing when Ith sighed, rolling jewelled eyes as she watched her rider. Go. Impress one for me. There was no denying that was a demand, sighing, Religna pulled a face at her green. "Alright, alright. I'm up. I'm up. She muttered darkly, rolling her eyes as she dragged her boots back on, muttering about dragonets that were far too demanding as she did so.
Eggs, smaller than those of the dragon hatching which had brought her Ith, but no less beautiful. Her gaze drawn to each after the other, blinking slightly at the others, shifting comfortably as her mouth dried. "May I try for one?" She spoke softly, ever polite as she raised her eyes to meet Uu'n's, refusing to back down, refusing to let a shyness or natural desire to be alone drag her down.
~*~
Go on, I don't mind. Besides, Anai needs someone to boss her around, she doesn't listen to me much. Thoth spoke in the ever gentle tones reserved only for Beka, curious as ever, he wanted to see the new creatures, he wanted His to have one so he could look after it too, learn about it. Yet, Beka was not in the mood.
"No." Was the short reply, Beka turning back to oiling Anai, thinking about Lura, about Liralla, the family she'd come to actually care about. Cared about, and hated it. She wasn't supposed to be opening herself up for pain again, but she was. Shardit, she did like Lura, and loved Liralla to bits, she didn't know what she'd do without them- Please go? No
The argument continued, though it was obvious who won by the fact Beka stepped onto the hatching grounds moments later. Scowling, with her arms crossed. Promising to do many horrible things to Thoth, who, being the intelligent dragon he was, didn't believe a word of it. Yet she was still standing there, she hadn't left, even though the argument had been about whether she'd go or not, not whether she'd stay. Beka seemed to have over looked that, blinking at the colours in the clutch. So bright, yet dark, it was a caondtradiction.. One Beka idn't entirely ike as she made sure to shift further away from teh entirely black one. Which gave eerie feelings of being watched, something Beka was never comfortable with.
~*~
How... Very annoying. Swatting at the chirping brown flitt as his ear, E'nor forced himself to wake from the light doze, instantly panicking and reaching for Clestioth, who crooned lovingly and turned his head to nuzzle his rider. Only then did E'nor actually calm down, he was resting on his dragons side, not on dark ground, he wasn't having night terrors, no he was fine. Though Kel was sending some weird image of eggs, and the gold creature he'd chased, if lost.
"I don't want one." E'nor muttered darkly, glaring at the brown, who merely cheeped happily and snuggled up to his cheek, knowing full well E'nor would do anything so long as Kel and Clestioth were there. Go, at least have a look. Clestioth nudged him, expelling a breath that smelt, rather bad, even if you took out the fact it smelt like meat. "Alright, I'll go." He muttered, pushing himself to his feet before petting Clestioth and leaving.
He wasn't completly sure about this, but Kel wanted to see the eggs, so the eggs he was going to see, if he happened to Impress. Well, goodie for him. He wasn't going to go out of his way to get one, but he wasn't going to send negative thoughts at them either. Either way, he was just going to let them come to him. Simple that way.
~*~
The blue's mind touched hers, and Kayla jumped in surprise, nearly toppling out of the chair she'd seated herself in. Okay, Salamandyr's... Oh! Weren't they those adorable flitter like things? The one like the gold, the only gold? Thinking about it for a few moments, she finally chose, easing to her feet. She had no companion, and there wasn't a wher hatching even close, one never kenw, it could be another turn before anything happened about a wher clutch.
A bonded would be nice, or so Kayla thought anyway. She'd like something to cuddle up to when she woke up, not knowing where she'd been or why, she'd like to have someone to talk to that wasn't sharing her mind like Fealyn. Well, sharing her mind, but not... Oh she wasn't even sure right now. Footsteps shuffled, as though taking ehr time was the best way to sort out her thoughts, or was there another reason for the reluctance?
She happened to know Fealyn didn't like flitts, she hated them, but Salamandyr's were different. They were completely different. Weren't they? Yes, yes they were there was no question about it, why would she doubt that? She shouldn't be. A nice little bow to the blue-weyrling, Kayla's eyes never meeting anyone else's, stayuing fixed on the ground as though it held answers.

Kalierre may have been a half-decent healer, but she was an absolutely horrible patient. She'd been torturing the healers of the infirmary from the moment her fever broke. Nothing like being grumpy or anything. Just...she had her own ideas about how the treatment should go, and she wasn't about to listen to anyone else's, her defiance laced with quiet, even tones that was likely more aggravating than if she'd been hissing and spitting like a crazed feline. They'd had to shoo her from the other patients with a stick. Literally. Of course, that only redoubled her insistance about her own treatment. Worse, she really wasn't doing this to annoy them. The extent of her reasoning was fairly simple. She felt she wouldn't get better as fast by their treatment plan, and if they weren't going to let her see patients until she did, she certainly wasn't going to follow that treatment plan.
Phremath was quite thoroughly amused.
Some of the cute little apprentices have been complaining to me, Mine, Phremath commented, laughingly. They're intent on keeping me here until the end of the Turn. Kalierre was currently walking along the riverbank, just far enough from the waters that she wasn't forced to mire through mud. A simple, sleeveless cotton shift - a couple sizes too big - had been thrown over her head before going out. Actually, there would have been nothing wrong with her going out just as she was, what with her entire torso bandaged due to the slash across her back, but she was a bit too modest for that. It was also somewhat chill.
Kalierre shot a grin at the apprentice who accompanied her, the boy smiling back shyly. Though the dragonhealer was still stiff, the fresh air seemed to be doing wonders. Just as she'd told them it would. Conservative healers. They didn't need to keep her cooped up this much! Glancing up, she saw the green form spinning from thermal to thermal. If you ignored the fact that the dragon's wings never seemed to beat - and were indeed quite a bit short - you might think she was just another green. Kali waved to her bonded.
That was when Adith's mindvoice touched Phremath. She didn't say anything to Kalierre. After all, the dragonhealer always heard these general broadcasts. And this one? It was meant for everyone. But when Kali didn't change her pace or acknowledge it in any way, Phremath dipped lower. You should go. Go where, love? The dragonhealer pushed aside the hair that was blowing in front of her face. To the Hatching Grounds. Dael's clutch. It's hatching? Well, yes...You didn't hear Adith?
The dragonhealer had already started in the direction of the not-so-distant hatching grounds. Her response came back puzzled. No. I didn't hear a thing. But she didn't dwell on it, so Phremath dismissed it as well. Kalierre had been looking forward to the hatching of this clutch ever since Dael's run. Call it the professional curiosity of a dragonhealer, or whatever you like, but she found Daelunya fascinating, and was intent to see just what would come of this flitter/salamandyr coupling. In the back of her mind, she thought it would be wonderful if she could experience a bond with a salamandyr firsthand.
At the forefront, though, she knew Dael's clutch hatching would mean Uu'n would be there, and the healers certainly wouldn't let her leave the infirmary in the dead of night. She missed Uu'n. Skirting the clutch almost daintily, Kalierre drew up to her friend, flashing him a broad smile. He looked...annoyed. It caused her to chuckle. "They don't ever make it convenient for you, do they?" But Kali cooed at Dael nonetheless, the gold lingering on Uu'n's shoulder. More seriously, she asked, "How are you doing? I haven't seen you in...I don't know how long."

All, there is to be a Hatching of salamandyrs in the Hatching Grounds. Any interested should go.
Triniath raised his head when he heard Adith’s call, grumpily wondering why a silly salamandyr hatching was important. The Brown looked towards Sk’ler’s room, wondering if he should bother the boy. Mine, There is a Salamandyr Hatching currently happening in the Hatching Grounds. Would you like one? Sk’ler poked his head out of the room the pair shared with T’kal and Brown Leweleth. The boy smiled at his friend before running his hand through his hair. “I wouldn’t mind having a Salamandyr. You don’t mind the idea of me Impressing one, do you, Trin?” Of course not! Anyways, you need some more companions. The Brown snorted at his rider’s silly question.
The boy disappeared into his room for a moment before he suddenly appeared at the base of the tree. “I’ll see you later, Triniath.” Sk’ler waved to his dragon before racing off to the Hatching Grounds. The forgotten beast shook his head, content to lounge in the sun a bit longer. Meanwhile, the Brownrider stared wide-eyed at the symmetric circles Golden Dael’s eggs had been arranged in. Eggs of all colors huddled together, each one drawing the boy’s stare.
Instead of just standing there, Sk’ler wandered over to the background, patiently waiting to see the baby salamandyrs and maybe fire-lizards emerge. His hazel eyes wandered over the group of people already here, noting the happy antics of the salamandyr Queen. The boy smiled as he saw her, feeling the waves of excitement that rippled in the air.
((I will bring Ciara and P’nor in later))

Uu'n sighed and nodded greeting to those who gravitated to the Clutch. But his eyes lit up when he saw Kalierre, and he grinned tiredly at her. Daeluunya just about danced on Uu'n's shoulder as the eggs started shaking, making a purring sound in her excitement. She just about fell off of Uu'n's shoulder, but instead leapt off, winging lower and lower circles until she came back to Uu'n, landing on his wrist and scampering back up. "I'm tired, sore, and Adith is with me every waking moment," he confessed honestly. "But... I'm glad we're alive." He tickled Dael, who cooed and chirped at her Clutch. Pretty pretty eggs! Not pretty. Beautiful, Uu'n corrected her. Pretties were the pitiful ladies who thought they deserved everything. Not the gems cradled in sand before them... Prettiful? Dael asked, confused. Close enough, Uu'n replied, with a wan smile.
The Tangled Jungle Egg was the first to begin moving, rocking back and forth violently. With each rock, it smacked against the Ruins Egg, and soon both were covered in cracks. With a final blow, the Tangled Jungle Egg burst open in a spray of shards, revealing a gray-blue salamandyr. The tiny creature, only about as long as an index finger, yawned widely and stared at those around him, until--Shiny! With a leap, the small blue jumped out of the Clutch, dashing on the ground and up Kayla's leg until it got to the button, gnawing on it. Shiny shiny... He seemed far more interested in the "shiny" than in the girl he spoke to, though...
From beneath the mess of the Tangled Jungle Egg, the Ruins Egg began to move on its own, making the shards of the egg atop it shiver in quite an interesting way. But the young creature within didn't seem quite prepared to make an entrance in the world yet...
In the second ring, the Stalking Eyes Egg began to twist and turn, until it was nearly spinning. Then, with a blow from within, the egg all but flew against the Redfruit Egg, which began angrily rocking in return. The two seemed to be dueling, smashing into each other over and over again. As one, they rocked back, then smashed forward, the eggs breaking open in an odd duality. The Stalking Eyes Egg flaked apart, to reveal an awkward-looking bronze firelizard, his wings absolutely enormous compared to his small body, not much larger than a green firelizard at Hatching, due to the small size of the eggs. He hissed at the other egg, and began chattering angrily.
In response, the Redfruit Egg shattered, the shards flying at the hatchling bronze flitter, who squawked angrily. The hissing creature revealed was a bronze salamandyr, his color touched by red into a marvelous copper tone. Bobbing his head up and down, the salamandyr flared his frills, displaying the beautiful red color writ there, and quite furious to have been awakened by a firelizard. The two circled each other, until the Stalking Eyes Bronze almost fell in a furrow in the sand. He started chattering angrily at the Redfruit Bronze, crouching and unfurling his massive wings. Undaunted, the salamandyr bronze continued his display, hissing at the firelizard, his much smaller wings spreading out as well...

Tangled Jungle Blue Color Code: 4A777A
Description: A dull gray-blue color, a wide streak of a darker steel runs in a blaze from the tip of his nose, spanning both nostrils and running just above his eyes, down between his little wings and eventually coloring his entire tail with dark steel-gray. The tops of his wings, too, are this lovely color, faintly darker at all extremeties. Little swirls of an even darker color edge the blaze, almost as if it were painted on by some careful hand.
Personality: Cautious and careful, and never one to be suddenly active, this blue will never be rash or foolhardy. He picks his fights carefully, and is much more likely to be sneaky than full-out attack when irate. While some may go so far as to call him lazy, in actuality the silly little creature could even be called calculating, though his memory only extends to the last meal. Offenses and loves are forgotten within a day, and there is no need to ever apologize—though he will forgive immediately, no matter what you do.
With a strange attraction to all things shiny, this blue can be something of a thief, and fully expect to find small sparkly rocks scattered everywhere, along with the occasional bit of purloined jewelry or shiny cloth tucked into a crack, so that it will always be there. And don’t even think about wearing your own jewelry—he’ll just end up gnawing on it! But for all that, he can be very friendly, and loves to sit in sleeves or “hammock” in the neck of a shirt, so that he can see what’s going on, but with the recourse of hiding just incase anything is too nerve-wracking.

Lura frowned, entering the sands with Liralla on her hip. A salamandyr hatching was intriguing to the greenrider. She had seen Uu'n's from afar, and had found the little queen amusing. Whatever would come out of her eggs, hopefully, would be just as good. Lura wanted something like that for herself. If this clutch yielded more... "Mama!" Liralla exclaimed, giggling to herself. "Eh oo!" she pointed out, waving her little fingers at the clutch. Lura chuckled a moment, the cold sound that was loving only to the toddler in her arms. Liralla squirmed. "Eh!" she told her mother emphatically. Lura shook her head. "No, sweetie, the sands are hot," she told the babe firmly. Liralla whimpered, obviously unhappy she couldn't play in the sand. However, Lura knew that Liralla would complain as soon as she realized how hot it was. Turning her head down to the eggs, she watched them curiously. Hopefully, the spawn would be those little salamandyrs. It would be a pleasant addition to her family.
Zamora, Zanna, and Zirian soared around her head, humming cheerfully. This was an odd little clutch. It didn't feel like most flitter clutches, but it was a hatching. Therefore, they were obligated to hum the song. Watching curiously as the eggs wriggled around, Zanna crooned cheerfully, bobbing his brown head up and down. Zamora and Zirian, both irritated with him, both chattered at him angrily. The brown peeped innocently, twirling his head to pointedly ignore the other two.
However, everyone, even little Liralla, was silent as first one shattered. It was... tiny! And blue! Eyes wide, Lura watched as the little blue salamandyr darted over to a candidate. Her eyes softened ever so slightly. "Ahhh!" Liralla announced, now squirming to try and go after it. Chuckling, Lura tightened her hold. "Not right now, pet," she told her firmly. Shards, Liralla was getting a lot more fiesty ever since she started learning to walk! Watching as more eggs broke, she smiled. This was a flitter, although it took her a moment or two to figure that out. He was so little, and so funny-looking! Then a real salamandyr hatched next.
"They're cute," she murmured, not really to anyone. Chancing a glance over at Uu'n to see what he and his little thing thought of this Hatching, her eyes relocated the clutch, now staying still. "Err," Liralla said reverently, her odd blue eyes locating the eggs with as much calmness as her mother's brown ones.

Salamandyrs are fascinating. I'll stay in the back. Don't blow up. I never Impress at things like this. They are not firelizards. They are worse. I don't want them, Lirmine, I don't. I won't Impress anything. I never do. Only you. And you are better than any pet. I picked you, and I would not pick just anyone. I don't want them. I don't want them at all.
Calistoth was, apparently, of the opinion that if at first her arguments failed, complain about it forever. She certainly had no problem sitting curled up, growling low in her throat in her fury, as her K'lir wandered onto the hatching grounds where the Salamandyr gold had laid her clutch. The dragon stayed outside, because to go inside would risk insulting Dael, and K'lir was very insistent that she not do that. Not that she cared. Let the little beast be insulted. She wasn't welcome. None of her kind were welcome to be near her Lirmine. She picked him and that made him the best because he was hers and she had no doubt many of them would be trying to latch onto her K'lir. So Calistoth sat, brooding, outside with hostility rippling off of her like waves. If she could sit around being angry and repel the little monsters in the process, she would do exactly that! Roar.
K'lir was deliberately ignoring his green's sulking as he stepped onto the hatching grounds. He could tell she was upset, and he understood why, but he didn't see the harm in coming to a Hatching where he was sure he wouldn't impress. Flitters hated him. So it was, so it would remain. The only one that liked him was Anai and - ah, Beka. Smiling to himself, for a brief moment, K'lir skittered across the Hatching Sands and promptly leaned against the blue weyrlingrider, giving her a look that was surprisingly friendly, especially considering the source. K'lir was in good spirits, and he liked Beka, as much as he was able to like anyone. She was nice to him... she was his friend, when no one else wanted to be. That set her apart and made her special.
"Hello, Beka, Anai, and Thoth," he greeted, batting the girl's hair gently. "It's good to see you. I thought nothing short of a metal bar would pry you to a hatching. Do I have Anai or Thoth to thank for your presence here?" What's this? K'lir, being friendly? The fact that he was nice to Beka just incensed Calistoth further, though he tuned out the brooding of the dragon. He was used to her fury. She took everything personally where he was concerned. He was hers and hers alone. No one else was allowed near him, in Calistoth's mind. Never mind that she flirted with Thoth something fierce and seemed content to believe he was as much hers as K'lir was...
The greenrider deliberately did not look at Uu'n. His gaze remained on the salamandyr queen, even as the eggs began moving to hatch. Not the eggs, but the gold salamandyr. The reason for that was simple. He wanted to look at the bluerider, laden with injuries as he was, and K'lir knew that gawking at someone who was hurt redefined rudeness. The eggs were fascinating enough, but the gold held his attention better, and kept him from looking up even as he heard Kalierre's voice. He didn't want to stare at either of them. Or anyone else, if he could help it. The survivors of that.. incident.. that massacre, deserved better than to have someone gawking at them as if they had sprouted a second, unpleasant head, and K'lir, nasty though he could be, was not that rude. He just wasn't.
* * *
"You're demanding. I have three. I don't need anymore." "Be that as it may, I have none, and you need to get out more. You need to spend more time with people. This sulking is unappealing. Do you think your Marra would like knowing that you're sulking around like a child who has been denied candy?" "I think she'd like it less to think that I'm happy without her, and I'm not." "Oh, phooey. Roxie, bite him."
"OW!"
With Roxie dangling from his ear, her little jaws clamped tightly around the lobe, Rawign stalked onto the hatching grounds. His expression was clearly displeased as he attempted to pry the little green off, and she hung limp, wings and legs dangling across his shoulder, as if the position was the most normal thing in the world. On the opposite shoulder, Li sat, completely oblivious to his sister's presence as he hummed, though he stopped long enough to flute sweetly to Dael (a queen was a queen, no matter what she happened to be). For once, Li was with Rawign, though 'for once' had translated to ever since the attack on the Weyrlings, as if the little bronze was frightened that his chosen was hurt, too. But Rawign was completely unharmed, save for Roxie, and his firelizard fair made for a colorful entourage as he stopped near the back of the hatching grounds. Beggar was sitting on his head, navy blue hide mingling well against the long black curls. No doubt Rawign looked comical, but the expression on his face wasn't.
He'd come with Juliya to the hatching grounds, but as he entered, his gaze snagged on Uu'n... and then Kalierre, and whatever confidence he had faltered. He hadn't spoken to her since the attack and he was afraid to try. How did one come up to someone who had been nearly murdered, when they didn't know all the details, and talk? Would she even want to talk to him at all? He was really, really glad that Kalierre was okay; if there was anyone he respected completely at Selenitas Weyr, it was the dragonhealer. But that didn't take away the worry that he'd be annoying her. What would he say? "Hi, Kali. I'm really glad you're alive," sounded very awkward indeed. But it was true. When the news of an attack reached him, the first things Rawign thought were, "Oh, Shards, Z'hin and Kali!" because they were two of his closest friends. He... didn't know how to even speak to them, anymore, though. It was like talking to strangers, and they hadn't done anything to merit the worry. He didn't .. he felt horribly guilty, for something he couldn't have done anything to change. Typical Rawign.
"I'm going to stay back here. This is social, for me," Rawign said with a casual glance to his companion. "I don't want to risk Impressing something when I already have three. I probably won't, but you never know. Okay?"
"You are impossible. Fine then, stay back here and watch from afar, but if you're gone when I come back, I'll feed you to Eriannath," Juliya scolded lightly, though her tone was playful. Rawign really didn't seem to understand that she had hauled him to the hatching in order to allow him to talk to other people - she hadn't seen the boy say more than two words to anyone since she'd met him, save for what she wrangled out of him by their first meeting. She'd managed to pry the fact that the woman he was seeing had been transferred out of him, but that was nearly the extent of what she knew about the young healer. Juliya had taken a professional interest in him, though, due to how many firelizards looked to him. Not that the boy knew that, and she wouldn't admit it to anyone, but someone who had failed to Impress a dragon, yet had Impressed three firelizards previous did seem interesting. And trying to get him to socialize made for a good pastime to help her settle in. She could relate to being an outsider, in her own way.
She ignored (outwardly) the almost terrified glint that passed through Rawign's eyes as she stepped up to the salamandyr clutch, and gave a light, half-bow to the little queen. She was far enough back so as not to intrude on the space of the clutch, though. Juliya was polite enough to know better than to come too close. Her gaze flew down to the two bronzes, one a firelizard, one a salamandyr, and part of her instincts told her to reach down and stop them; common sense told her it wasn't her place, so instead she watched, deciding not to intrude with speech. She could feel Eriannath's curiosity somewhere in the back of her mind, the half-asleep green inquisitive, eager to know exactly what the little things with the frills were... Salamandyrs, the blue had called them, but there was nothing like those in the north...

You can move faster you know. "So, I am moving fast enough." No, you aren't. By the time you arrive at the Hatching Grounds, all the salamandyrs would have Hatched and had their own clutches. "Then I could have one of their babies." You're hopeless.
The argument continued this way as a young woman and her dragon walked towards the Hatching Grounds. The Green was constantly at her rider's side, not letting the girl out of her sight for more then a few moments. It seemed that the threat that had recently been sent her rider's way had scared the Green just as badly as it had Ciara. Now, Toryth seemed to think that her rider was delaying her arrival to the salamandyr hatching, even though Ciara had seemed eager when the Queen had Risen.
Ciara smiled at her multicolored companion, content to annoy the Green by slowing down even more. The Green grumbled loudly when she realized her Bonded had fallen behind.
You'll be old and crooked before you get there unless you pick up the pace. All those annoying little salamandyrs will be Impressed to someone other then you. Eryn would have grown old and flightless by the time you arrive, and she needs someone besides me to entertain her.
As though the mention of her name had summoned her, teal green Eryn appeared above her Own. The little fire-lizard chattered and scolded Toryth, plainly telling the Green that she had better leave Ciara alone. The girl smiled as her little defender landed on her shoulder. The flit cuddled closer to Ciara, switching between crooning and scolding as she gave Toryth a taste of her own medicine. A hand strayed to scratch the little bundle of energy as the girl finally arrived at the Hatching Grounds.
Blue eyes widened with surprise as she saw the eggs arranged in perfect circles. When she saw a little blue gray salamandyr chewing on a girl's button, a smile appeared on her face. The picture was adorable and heart warming. Silvery blue eyes strayed to the two Bronzes, salamandyr and fire-lizard, that were challenging each other. They seemed to want to attack each other and Ciara desperately hoped that they wouldn't do so. She had seen too much blood recently, and the thought of hatchlings turning on each other was not very appealing.

The first hatchling was a Blue. Salamandyr or not, it was a Blue, a waste of his time and attention. The Weyrbrat scoffed lightly, turning his eyes elsewhere as the little beast impressed to a girl, or so it seemed. Then he returned his attention to the eggs, a few of them stirred, while others were still. What amused him was the rolling egg, shaking wildly as it moved, before the Stalking Eyes Egg smashed against the Redfruit Egg. Mmm, redfruits. Those were nice fruits, delicious and plump little things. Attention back to the eggs he watched as they smashed against one another, apparently in a contest, before the Stalking Eyes Egg exploded first, revealing Bronze. However, this was a flit, Hinuk had no need for inferior and common creatures.
What poped out of the Redfruit Egg was more of his liking though, the boy’s eyes sparkling as he watched the Bronze Salamandyr. He was unsure if there was a Gold in this clutch, but the coppery shaded Bronze was too astounding not to deserve his full attention. If there was a Gold, he’d be sure to impress her, too, but it seemed unlikely. Hadn’t this salamandyr bred with a flitter? Was that even good? Well, the hatchlings looked healthy, even if Hinuk would have very much preferred pureblood ones. Ah well, he could get more Salamandyrs in a future, one not too distant.
”Stupid Bronze, he thinks he can match Him! That Salamandyr is clearly much better than him. Why, he’s no bigger than a Green Firelizard, pathetic!” “Hinuk… Watch your tongue.” “Why should I?!” “Because this is a Hatching, now show some respect.” “It’s not like the Gold’s gonna care, that’s a weak firelizard.”
The older lad sighed softly, shaking his head as he glared to his younger blood relative. Casting a glance to Uu’n he gave the BlueRider an apologetically glance. If he’s known the brat was going to be so… Bratty, he’d tried everything to prevent him from coming. Alas, they were here already, and Hinuk would certainly not leave – not without a fight at least. He watched as the strawberry blond boy dangled a piece of meatroll in view of the Salamandyr and Firelizard, though he certainly didn’t seem to care much for the latter of the two. His sapphire eyes were solely for the Salamandyr that had hatched.
---
Amir watched as the Hatching begun and proceeded with amusement and interest, her gaze flickering from the grayish Tangled Jungle Blue to the Stalking Eyes Bronze & his Redfruit Bronze brethren. It was slightly amusing to watch the two display off to one another, trying to accert dominance, though it was clear her little Chast was on the flitter’s side. He, took, displayed his wings a few times, though a soft croon from the lass calmed him down, the humming still strong in his throat. He might not care for Salamandyrs, but this clutch also had flitters, and he hummed for them. A curious glance was given to the position where the hatched eggs had been. The two salamandyrs had been from the inner circle, while the flitter was from the second one. Could it be possible the Gold knew what was in each egg, and had arranged her Salamandyrs closer to the center and the firelizards further out? No, it was unlikely… Right?
”I’m probably just giving it too much though… Yes, that’s it. It’s all just a coincidence, most probably.”
Surely a Salamandyr couldn’t now what was inside each egg when she clutched. Surely no creature did, right? Well, flitters and dragons new where there was a Queen, but their eggs were normally much larger than normal, and clearly easily to guess… Yes, it was all a coincidence, though perhaps it was not…
---
Nayza’s face lightened as she watched the first hatchlings, they were all so different and shocking! The Salamandyrs were tiny, smaller than even the small Bronze flitter whom had also hatched! With happy eyes she watched the hatching progress, as well as a few more guests arrive. One of them was a woman with a small child, and Nayza couldn’t help but smile lightly at the sounds the small girl made. She looked so cute. All kids were cute… Excluding the blond one in the front. He just seemed arrogant, way too arrogant for her liking.
”I wonder what he would do if he impressed a green firelizard…”
A faint giggle escaped her at the though, the candidate clearly amusing herself with the mental image. By the way the Weyrbrat acted, he might jump down Selenita’s waterfall![/sup]

All, there is to be a Hatching of salamandyrs in the Hatching Grounds. Any interested should go. Tenmor twitched spasmodically, not expecting the loud call at all. He had been sadly unaware of even the simple existence of such a Hatching, whatever it was. He knew that it wasn't a dragon, for he hadn't been informed of such. A firelizard Hatching, perhaps? Tenmor stood up swiftly, brushing off his clothes with a practiced eye, careful to look his best. Well, hardly not his best, but he at least wished to look vaguely decent. He remembered something another Candidate had told him quite awhile back, about bringing food along. It helped to lure them, or somesuch.
Tenmor looked around sadly. He had no food, especially of the meat variety. With a heavy sigh, knowing that he could do little except go to the kitchens and beg for meat scraps. His eyes gave a final sweep of the room, narrowing upon viewing a distinctly old piece of leather. He practically leapt over, picking the strip of leather, which some might mistake for a badly maltreated piece of meat had it not been giving off a distinctive odor reminiscent of foot. He shrugged, hoping that the strange piece of smelly leather might do more than attract air and disgusted sniffs. Nodding to himself, Tenmor hurried away, jogging lightly. Although he didn't want to be late, he didn't want to appear in too much of a hurry.
He was hardly the first to arrive, he noticed ashamedly. Two - no, three - of the eggs had hatched already, and one Impressed. He blinked in surprise. It was not all firelizards, as he had first thought. A blue salamandyr had Impressed to a girl, while a bronze flitt and a bronze salamandyr were posturing to each other, clearly attempting to display their dominance. Tenmor decided it was high time he looked to who had sired the Clutch. His head turned to rest upon a gold salamandyr, so far as he knew, the only one, especially here. Someone had chatted nonchalantly about a gold 'Running'. So this was what they had meant. Tenmor smiled slightly. The creature was definitely small, that was for sure.
Tenmor swiveled on the spot, looking at the other 'Candidates' for the Clutch. Some must have been dragonriders, while others were Candidates like himself. Although he wasn't too worried, Tenmor couldn't deny that the flitts and salamandyrs especially had a distinctive bit of appeal to them. He watched the others' antics with mild amusement, his gaze fixed more on the Clutch than anything. Eggs in both rings were shaking and the softly rocking Parrot Egg caught his attention almost immediately, for both it's subtle movement and garishly bright colors. The Flooded Egg, with its purple-blue shell and silver streaks that reminded him of fish also caught his attention. It rested in the same circle as from where the Stalking Eyes Egg had spilled forth a bronze. Maybe that signified something, for both the Tangled Jungle Blue and Redfruit Bronze had come from the other ring, which was closer to the center egg. Tenmor frowned, head tilting slightly as he inspected more of the quaking and shivering eggs, all of their contents wishing to be free.

Not even the fact that she didn't want to be there could stop her smiling at Liralla. It seemed to saw less and less of the little girl, even though Thoth adored her. Then again, he adored everything, he found everything interesting. For a moment, she watched them instead of the clutch, barely noticing the hatching now. Didn't you come to look at the eggs? Thoth teased gently, making Beka blinked and pull a face. No, you made me come. She returned unhappily, crossing her arms unhappily.
Also nearly falling over in shock when someone leant against her, opening her mouth to complain about it even as Anai let out a happy chirp. There was only one person she reacted to like that, anyone else and she'd tear them to pieces. "Lir!" Instantly the scowl was gone, her expression brightening at her friend. Pulling a face at his comment, she couldn't help but smile as he batted her hair, "Thoth made me. I didn't want to come. It's good to see you too, how's Calistoth? Speaking of... I'm guessing she's not entirely happy with you being here?"
~*~
E'nor noted both Kali and Uu'n. Then Ciara, but like he had ever since the incident, hung his head and kept his eyes on something else. The eggs, yes, they were hatching, oh what a wonderful excuse. Blue Salamandyr, pretty, cute, like all other babies. Like Kel and Clestioth had been when they were young. Oh Bronze firelizard, with, er, big wings. Bronze salamandyr and - They wouldn't fight would they?
The thought crossed his mind and E'nor froze, instantly regretting having obeyed Clestioth's demands to come. Kel cheeped softly, crooning next to his ear, reassuring and calming. He was there, it wasn't scary, he was protecting His, yes? Good, calming down... I want to leave. No, you don't. You just don't want them to fight. I don't want them to fight either, because fighting isn't veryu nice, I don't like fighting anymore, fighting nearly took you away from me and it would be very lonely and cold without you. Since when had his happy blue gotten a shred of sense? Blinking slightly, a smile formed, E'nor reaching up a hand to stroke Kel. Fine. You win... For now. Goodie!
~*~
The nod was taken as permission, and Religna smiled, stepping back slightly, around the others. She had Ith, some of them didn't have anyone. The Senior Weyrlings had become a point of interest for her, especially Kalierre. They'd nearly died out in the jungle, many of them had, but Kalierre hadn't, and she was female. Female and a healer but she'd survived. They'd kept fighting, hadn't given up.
Blinking slowly, Religna turned her head as more people entered, distracted from the clutch at teh sight of her brother with a flitt dangling from his ear. The urge to laugh was strong, Religna biting down on it as she hid a smile behind her hand. You should laugh. I like you laughing. It makes you happy. Ith murmured sweetly, causing Religna to blink in surprise. She laughed alot, didn't she? It couldn't be that odd to hear her laugh, especially not with Ith.
"Hey." Speaking softly as she moved, she reached out a hand to touch Rawgin's hand, glancing towards the clutch as the bronzes hatched, and obviously weren't happy with each other. "You alright?"
~*~
People drifted in, and with each one, Kayla's comfort level dropped, she hated crowds. Hated being noticed, it was horrible, it caused bad things... Shifting uncomfortably, Kayula nearly missed the hatching of the three egg, blinking as the blue seemed to come towards her, taking a step away to get out of his way.
Only to have the chirpy little voice in her mind, soft and sweet, causing Kayla to grin happily as the salamandyr obviously found something to chew on. Shiny! Shiny! Laughing as she lifted a hand to try and pry him gently from the buttont, she cuddled the salamandyr closer. "You like shiny things?" She spoke softly, pressing a kiss to his head, smiling before she thought for a moment. Shiny! The agreement only caused her to laugh, pressing another kiss to the soft hide. "I think, just to make it easy. We'll call you Shiny."

The two bronzes circled, the firelizard hopping in circles around the salamandyr bronze, who merely turned to keep his eyes on the Stalking Eyes Bronze. The salamandyr's mouth was open in a silent hiss, only becoming audible when the firelizard got far too close for comfort. Getting irritated now, the Stalking Eyes Bronze jumped to the center of the Clutch, chattering quite angrily now. He landed atop the Twisted Vines Egg, which fractured. Startled, the bronze flitter took to the air, though his wings were barely dried, and dive-bombed Hinuk's head, grabbing clawfuls of hair and chattering all of his annoyance directly down onto the boy.
The Redfruit Bronze, quite pleased at his apparent victory, squalled when the egg he had been perched on, the Flooded Egg, decided it was quite done with being used as a footstool, and shook violently. The bronze scampered to the side, frills pressed tight to his neck in surprise and perhaps even fright, then silent-hissed at the egg, which only responded by shaking again, cracking against the neighboring Poison Frog Egg. Though pretty, Dael's tendency to closely-array her eggs seemed to have a negative ability on them being able to Hatch without causing mass mayhem, for the surprised blue firelizard that emerged was instantly nipped by a yellow-brown muzzle that emerged from the Poison Frog Egg. The Flooded Blue shrieked and rolled backwards, then immediately began to beg for food, wings down and crying piteously.
Infuriated at being embarrassed by such a creature, the Redfruit Bronze streaked across the sand with remarkable speed--right up K'lir's pants, underclothing, shirt... ending up perched on the young man's head and displaying quite dramatically. His, you see? All his! Ha! Mine, is mine! the salamandyr crowed to the general surroundings--including K'lir's dragon--
The movement of the Ruins Egg culminated in another explosion of shards--and leaping up with them, a most interesting-looking brown salamandyr. Pale, a shade of creamy tan, the creature was covered in intricate dark markings, looking almost black on white from the difference in shade. He landed on the already-beaten-up Twisted Vines Egg, then looked down in surprise as a green salamandyr, clearly scolding him, popped her head up from between his feet. The Ruins Brown rocked back as the tiny emerald-colored salamandyr extricated herself from the forced Hatching, the entire time flicking her frills at him in the manner of one marking important points in a conversation--though if there was one, it was entirely mental!

Stalking Eyes Bronze Color Code: 98A148
Description: Wide of wing and long of neck, this bronze seems awkwardly proportioned, for his body size is actually rather small for his color. His wings are far too large for his body, so that whenever he flaps them, he actually is raised higher into the air than he intends and usually has to drift downward like gliding, as opposed to actually landing. Throughout his entire life, this little bronze will have much larger wings, apt for gliding on breezes, but high bursts of speeds will make him awkward in flight and garner second and third odd looks. His coloring is a rich, nearly green-hued bronze that is typical of his color, save for edges of much darker trim on his wings and backridges, as though someone splattered him with brown rather than the metallic hue of the rest of his hide. He has two really dark rings around both of his eyes, giving him a masked bandit appearance.
Personality: With an appearance like his, you'd think such a little bronze would be shy, or at the very least, modest, but no. Wide wings, awkward gliding, it's a show for this bronze; don't you admire his theatrics? Never one to be shy or modest, this little fellow likes people and will perch and land on anyone if they hold still long enough. He's talkative, too, often having quite a bit to tell you, even if you don't speak firelizard. Don't worry, he forgives you your ignorance; you can't help it you're not as clever as he is. And he thinks he's very clever, always showing off. In his opinion, the world is a place that should admire him at all times, for he is brilliant and lovely to behold, not to mention funny. This little fellow will be a handful for his bonded, because he is always on the go-go-go and yes, you're expected to keep up with him at all times. At least he's never boring!
Redfruit Bronze Color Code: CC1100
Description: A lovely copper-hued bronze, this creature is certainly stunning. Zig-zag lines run down his back, never crossing, like some sort of weaving, in a brilliant red hue that is quite reminiscent of the shade of his egg. The same scarlet marks his nose in a blaze, and the tip of his tail. His frill is completely red, with only vague bronze markings, and he tends to fan it constantly, preening in his own gorgeous coloration.
Personality: Incredibly vain and even pompous, this bronze always thinks the best of himself. Perfectly willing to do mean things to get his way, this little boy is quite a handful at the best of times. Not only does he detest flitters, he will literally attack any that dare to come near his person, even queens and greens, despite his smaller size. His ire will even extend to dragons, and though biting them is pretty much impossible, this bronze gets unholy joy from clinging to them in places they can’t get him off of—for example, at the base of their skull, or right between the wings—and tickling them mercilessly.
Even with his humanpet, he can be quite treacherous, expecting—nay, demanding—to be the center of attention at all times. If ever he feels slighted, he is quite cheerfully willing to exact painful revenge, usually by nipping or clawing to regain attention. And getting yelled at is attention, so he’s perfectly happy to be an obnoxious fiend if it’s the only way to get attention. It will take careful training and a good eye towards how to handle his self-centered personality to teach this little creature how to be a good friend.
