There wasn’t much chance for Raen to absorb all that was happening in the Hatching… she was too absorbed with Shirk, and it all happened so quickly. The girl had quickly shrunk back, cradling the green in her hands as it slept peacefully. The little girl looked so lovely, little, and innocent in her sleep. In fact, little words continually flowed out of Shirk’s mind, into Raen’s. Great. The little one talked in her sleep.
Pretty. She was so pretty! The candidate shrunk further into the shadows while stroking her new ‘mandyr. Ooh! Yes. Of course, Shirk couldn’t go long without saying her favorite word. Actually, it quite surprised Raen that said word wasn’t ‘No’… but that was alright.
Stroking the lovely hide, Raen couldn’t help but to smile down at her pretty form. Shirk twitched her tail lazily, even as she muttered incoherent phrases and words through their fragile mind-connection. Love pretty. How much do you want to bet that Shirk will talk more in her sleep than she will while she’s awake… However often that is? Still, this though made the candidate grin a little, scratching the pretty green’s hide.
Finally, Raen looked up… and the Hatching was over. Smiling shyly at the girls she might know from candidacy, the girl carefully got up and quietly left.

A green went wild, and then there was only one blue hatched, wandering about people, choosing His no doubt. Were 'mandyr's like dragons? Did they know who they wanted as soon as they saw them? Or was it more complicated or more simple? Rielana wasn't sure, but it seemed to her that the blue was taking his sweet time to choose. Then another egg hatched, the second last, revealing a brightly coloured blue.
He didn't seem to have much trouble, promptly jumping on his brother, then there was a small fight, and the blues parted, one heading away from the electric blue mandyr, and the electric blue one darted over to her. Eyes widened at the new bond, bending down to pick him up as the words sounded in her mind. Look look, Ma! Look! Look at what? For a moment, Rielana's frown was one of confusion, before spotting the proudly held battle wound. Then it was one of concern, smiling as she cuddled the small creature closer. "Oh, did he hurt you? So mean. What shall we call you?" She murmured, smile brightening as Jeminorth spoke, You Impressed one! Yay! I want to see him, you have to bring him back soon. Well, at least the green wasn't jealous, and hopefully Fiel wouldn't be either.
Look, look! The salamandyr trilled again, tilting his head at his new minething. The expression was enough to have Rielana giggling as she stroked his back gently. "I see, are you very proud of yourself? We need to name you, you know that? I haven't a clue what to call you though. I can't call you 'look', how about... Pride?" Look, Ma? "It'll do." Shifting him so he rested in the crook of her arm, Rielana smiled before moving to find him some food.
