Well. That was interesting. Ae'on flopped rather gracelessly on the sand next to a finally tired out Aldonza. To think she would only have more energy at her disposal as she got older. Hopefully she'd calm down at least a bit by then. That or he'd actually end up trim and fit, something he'd thus far managed to avoid. He stared up at the sky, merely watching the clouds pass by. Call him lame but he actually liked the simpler things in life. Said simpler things did not include random hatching clutch finding. He glanced over to the tired out pup curled up next to him and noticed eggs. "Oh, heck no," he said sharply, sitting up slowly as he watched the eggs begin to twitch. Me was more than enough trouble for him and now he had a new puppy. Still, the Healer in him couldn't leave clearly abandoned eggs. Ae'on ran a hand through his short hair and sighed. Hey Sfelyth, call a bunch of people, would ya? Hatching firelizard menaces. The blue roused from his dozing on the surprisingly warm sands. The weather in the south was such a wonderful thing if February was somewhat moderate. Sfelyth crooned pleasantly before turning his mind to the maze that was Selenitas. Dear People of the Weyr. There are eggs at the coast, off the river! The little firelizard things. The 'cute ones' according to Mine, but he can be a butt sometimes. Anyways, please bring meat since we do not have any and I'm pretty sure Mine plans to flee as soon as someone else arrives. Kudos if you manage to stop him! He announced to as many as he could reach. He didn't have any intention of leaving though, even if Ae'on did plan to flee. The little fuzzy pup was tired out anyways and might not much like being moved around. Ae'on stared dubiously at the eggs as he waited for someone, anyone else to show up. He absentmindedly stroked Aldonza's splotched fur as she slept. He realized she'd probably need a bath as soon as they got back to the weyr and sighed again. She was already showing a tendency to like giving him a bath in return. Still, she was already proving a quick learner. A sponge, really. She whoofed softly in her sleep and he smiled surprisingly brightly for being such a grumpy Healer. ---- Wild Clutch 1. She didn’t even know what time it was, but she did know that it was way too late—or early—or whatever—for a wherhandler to be awake, since a peek outside had her eyes stinging a little from the sunlight, and Sensk was dozing on her bed with Kaiusk and Sydsk, a pile of sleepy wher babies rumpling Sena’s covers and pillows. Fortunately she wasn’t sleepy anyway since trying to worm herself a space in between all the floppy wher wings and legs and tails and vulnerable bellies just did not sound like a good way to spend her time, let alone trying to worm herself a comfortable space. So, instead, Sena had wormed herself onto Kaius’s bed, crammed in one corner like a disgruntled bird where headboard met wall.
Just…not sleepy.
Which was ridiculous. Some days she absolutely crashed, but other days—like this one, clearly—her body just rejected the idea of being nocturnal and she ended up going to Wherling lessons looking like a raccoon the next night. Even Azazel was better at adapting than she was; the Razorclaw had snuggled himself into the wedge of her body and legs, a warm ball of fluff. And she was just not sleepy at all.
She was pretty sure Kaius might be, though, which was why she was doing her best not to move, until an unfamiliar dragon’s voice slid smoothly into her mind and Sena twitched without meaning to before she registered the words. For a minute she almost settled back to continue her insomnia in peace, and then she reconsidered. At least she could be doing something interesting—maybe someone she knew would go there, and that’d be nice, right? Wasn’t like sitting here wasn’t frustrating her to death. So Sena slid both hands under Azazel, carefully lifting him out of her lap and resettling him comfortably in a warm nook between Kaius’s pillow and the wall, and promptly clambered over her friend.
And, okay, she didn’t mean to wake him, because as far as she knew Kaius was not superhuman and needed sleep as much as she did, but she had been sitting perfectly still for a few hours, so yes, she was a little stiff, and apparently Kaius could not sleep through a knee planted in his stomach.
“I’m sorry!” Sena hissed, after she’d literally tumbled straight over Kaius onto the ground at the first sign of movement from him, landing in a graceless heap of crumpled blonde hair and wide eyes, “I’m so sorry! I didn’t mean to—you okay? Hey shh, don’t wanna wake Syd, it’s like, stupid early. Or late, I dunno, hey, I’m real sorry Kaius,” and she patted his shoulder weakly in apology. Wasn’t like she’d had that much room to navigate, after all. “Um, oh man…sorry. Go back to sleep, okay? I’m gonna go out, there’s a firelizard Hatchin’ somewhere, I’ll be back before we’re supposed to wake up I bet.” She threw a petrified glance over her shoulder at Sydney and the wher pile, but fortunately none of them stirred—at least even if she was good at kneeing people on accident she was also good at keeping quiet about it.

Kaius was having almost as hard a time as Sena adjusting to their new schedule. Only, in his case, he had stayed awake during the day so much that he had just crashed this day, and he was actually sleeping when he was supposed to me. He had also taken to overstuffing King, so that he would fall asleep in a food coma at the appropriate times, as a way of trying to get the salamandyr on a nighttime schedule as well. Before she had gotten up, the wormy salamandyr had been intertwined in the girl's hair, a little bulge in his belly from the meal Kaius had stuffed into him. Ever since Kaius had been living with Sena and Sydney, King was finding the two girls good places to sleep if nothing else, even though he did really like them.
So, when Sena finally stirred, getting up to fall out of bed with a knee to Kai's stomach, the salamandyr started, giving a little bellow before going head over heels in a little tumble on the bed as Sena's hair pulled him along. The failing mass of salamandyr limbs luckily didn't get pulled off the bed, but King rested between Kaius' body and the bed for a moment, sleepily looking in Sena's direction before giving an indignant chuirrup and curling back into a little ball where he was. Obviously, it wasn't to last, because as soon as Sena kneed him, Kaius awake quickly. " Ow!" Was his first reaction, though it wasn't nearly loud enough to wake Syd or the sleepy babies.
Kaius blinked several times, trying to understand Sena's words in his half asleep state, lifting himself half up in order to hear better. " Hatching?" He mumbled, running a hand through his hair. Firelizard hatching? What? At first, he shrugged. " Suit yself" He mumbled, getting ready to flip over and curl up again when he nearly ended crushing poor King, who squeaked and rushed out of the way of the flopping body. This sound woke Kaius up more and he blinked groggily as king scrambled over to curl up around Azazel. The humans weren't reliable beds today, he decided, burying himself in the bird's downy feathers in a pleased manner.
Now almost thoroughly awake, Kaius stared at King for a little while longer before yawning widely and sitting up in bed...rubbing his face. He noticed Sena was leaving and sighed heavily. If he was going to be up, he might as well be doing something interesting. Standing and stretching, he followed Sena outside, wincing as he got there. " Might wanna get some meat. I mean, if you want one of em." The tall boy shrugged, realizing full well that he looked like he'd just rolled out of bed. He wasn't worried about impressing. His head was so full with King and Kaiusk that he doubted he'd be wanted. "How're we gonna get there anyway? It's pretty far away." He liked that Sena was interested in watching the firelizards hatch, but getting there before all the babies were born was an entirely different matter.
So when Sena suggested they ask Iskierka for a ride, he was cautious about it. He didn't actually know Sena's aunt, for how much the girl talked about her, but he shrugged and went along with it. The pair got to the weyr quickly enough (actually, Sena dragged Kai most of the way, and Kai tried to keep from toppling over on top of her). He was surprised when she actually agreed, though he didn't quite like the was she looked at him. It was good that she was being protective of Sena...but still...he didn't do anything. Before they knew it, they were on Ioth and then at the coast. Unfortunately for Kaius, he wasn't very balanced at the best of times, and when Ioth crouched to let them down, he tumbled off of the dragon's back in a pile of ungainly limbs. Luckily, the blue was low and he managed to keep from hurting himself...barely.
After he realized that he wasn't hurt, Sena had dragged him over to where A'eon was sitting near the eggs. Kaius eyed them dubiously. " Do firelizards impress like salamandyrs, ya think?" He glanced to Sena.
Buram was out gathering herbs by the river. That probably would have been an odd picture in and of itself, but the boy was currently wearing his gaudiest getup, a buttonup shirt that was a rich violet color that had the sleeves rolled up and dark wherhide trousers. He wasn't skipping around and carrying a basket though, as much as people might have wanted to imagine him like that. Instead, he was tucking herbs into a shoulder bag that laid loosely against his side. He was going to see if Erno was interested in any of these. He wasn't sure, but he was determined to get his friend interested in healing, one way or another.
Suddenly, a dragon's voice entered his head and he froze, listening carefully. He wanted to ignore it, but curiosity got the better of him. That wasn't too far from where he was at the moment, actually.
So, finishing up on the few herbs he could see, he took a bite out of the meatroll he had brought with him for lunch and trotted over to where he thought the eggs were. It didn't take him long to notice a gathering of people there. Oh! Sena was there! Waving happily at the girl, the candidate walked over to them. " Where're the eggs?" He asked brightly, standing on his tiptoes to see.
Firelizard babies, L'amine. " What?" The man asked as he sat leaned against a tree. He had been trying to take an afternoon nap when Jeth's words rudely interrupted him. There are firelizard eggs down by the coast. Wanna go see? " Not particularly, Jeth. Go away and let me sleep." He mumbled, leaning back against the tree. Unfortunately, Jeth wasn't taking a hint and poked his man. Well I wanna go see. Glaring, L'am swatted the dragon away. " Then go on your own." Jeth looked a little irritated. I can't go alone. That'd look weird. C'mon, just a little while.
L'am was silent for a long time, but he realized that Jeth wouldn't stop bothering him until he got his way, so he gave an exasperated sigh and stood up. " Fine. But we should go by the kitchen and get some meat. I'm sure there's some idiots who would have neglected to bring any."
So, after making their way to the kitchen and with a big bowl of meat in hand, Jeth and L'am arrived at the hatching. L'am slid off of the dragons back and walked over, plopping the bowl down towards the edge of the hatching. " I have some meat here if anyone impresses." He said kind of loud then took a step back to observe.

Working the Creche in the day and being a Cadre at night, took candlemarks away from the times he was supposed to be sleeping. Although running a double schedule was difficult at times it was often rewarding, like today. He and a few other of the younger Creche workers decided that the Weyrbrats needed a feildtrip, even if it was just a preplanned exploration of the Weyrproper. Watching the children have fun and run around like little wherries was adorable and it reaffirmed his growing desire for children of his own. Ever since Erilena had given birth to her twins and named him an uncle, Nautic's brain had been occupied with thoughts of having a Little. He of course, had yet to even breach the subject with Eikane, knowing his Weyrmate's exact stance on babies. To him they were messy or messes waiting to happen. Even so, it didn't stop Nautic from making it overtly obvious he was on a baby craze to his Weyrmate. If the Goldhandler hadn't caught the hint without him saying anything, Nautic would be surprised. Though if he confronted him about it, he'd deny wanting children. But the sort of denial that really meant he did in fact want at least one.
When Sfelyth's message came through, Nautic glanced around as everyone in his little group stopped to listen for a moment before going about what they had been doing. The Greenhandler's only thought then was... babies. It wasn't the same as a human baby, but still... it could take the edge of his craze at least for a little while. Jogging over to one of his ladyfriends who worked shifts with him, Nautic asked if they could manage to herd the 'brats back without him. When he got a confirmation he happily spun around to leave only to stop right where he was, so as not to trip over one of the kids.
--
"Nausi. Nausi! You're going to see the flitties?" Looking up at the blond, Kai smiled at him happily. "Can I go too? I want to see them! Azzie can tell mommie." He watched as the grownup made a face which, when his mommie had it, meant that he was very close to not letting him go. "Pleaaaaaaase. I won't touch, just look!" When Kai promised something he almost always meant it, and today was no exception. If it meant that he could watch a flitter hatching then he wouldn't try and pet any of the babies. When Nausi finally said he could, he turned to the flitter on his shoulder and told him to tell his mommie that he was going to go see the babies with Nausi. A few moments later the Firelizard disappeared Between to carry his message. "Lets go!" Grabbing onto Nautic's pant leg so he wouldn't get lost, Kai happily walked along next to the Wherhandler. He liked walking, being carried obviously was for babies and he wasn't a baby any more. Unless his mommie wanted to carry him, then it was okay because she was special.
It took a little longer for them to get there, since Kai's legs weren't as long as his companion's, but they got there all the same. "Look! Look! There see them?" Bouncing happily he trotted away from Nautic to get a closer look, waving happily at the man who was near them, announcing; "Oh woooow. Wildlings!" They had to be, since Rose hadn't risen and Azaran hadn't chased. His mommie had said something about the other Golds not being able to have babies anymore, he didn't reaaally understand but if she said so it had to be true. And then... he was distracted by the puppy. Creeping closer to the ball of fluff, he looked at the man (who he assumed was a rider because everyone cool looking had to be a rider or a handler) with curiosity. "Can I pet 'em?"
--
Nautic had them stop by the kitchens on their way to the eggs, even if he didn't impress it was always nice to bring meat for those who forgot to. When Kai scrambled away, the Greenhandler managed to keep up with him, offering who he assumed to be Sfelyth's rider a smile and a wave. He too greeted the man. "We've not had a wild clutch in a while, rather a flitter clutch in general. Lucky day." Then, "Kai don't get to close to the puppy, not until he says whether its okay or not." And then to Sena and Kaius; "Hello my little Wherlings!" If they hadn't gotten used to him calling them that by now, then they'd have a long Wherlingship ahead of them. "Still haven't adjusted to the night schedule yet?"

Typically, T'ri was not doing what he was supposed to be doing. Neither was Arhenaiyth, but generally, whatever T'ri was doing Arhenaiyth was doing too. The pair were inseperable; they still slept together more often than not. In fact, they were doing that now. The rest of their class would be in lessons or maybe at lunch, but T'ri had nicked a bottle of quikal with redfruit juice and the blue and his rider had taken up a position in the sun just outside the weyr's ground entrance to drink and nap. Sfeylth's broadcast didn't disturb the sleeping rider, whose fashionable straw hat was tilted down to cover his eyes, but it did wake Arhenaiyth.
What does he want? the mostly-grown blue grumbled, slitting one eye to figure out what time it was by Rukbat's position. Loud, obnoxious blue, Arhenaiyth grumbled, dropping his head to his paws again. "Mmm," T'ri replied, tipping his hat up to do exactly what his dragon had just done. Where Henny had decided he was going back to sleep, though, T'ri caught sight of something interesting. A little blonde girl was leaving the Weyr, heading in the direction Sfeylth had indicated. "Hey," he called, hopping to his feet with his hat cocked at a jaunty angle, "Let me know if you want a ride to the hatching, if that's where you're headed." Because no, T'ri wasn't going to the hatching on his own, noooo. That was so not hip. But, like, if he was doing a kid a favor that was a whole different story.
Why? Arhenaiyth grumbled as the pair mounted up, T'ri in front. Wait. You're really serious. You are REALLY serious. A tiny, miniature human is getting you up and you're her taxi service now? You offered? T'ri ignored his dragon's griping (Henny was taking off, no matter what he said) in favor of grinning back at Liv. "You ever rode a dragon before?" Stop it. It's disgusting. You really need to go bother Tserieth's more, you need someone to pay more attention to you. I'm certainly not up for the job.
A quick trip Between and they'd found the hatching, which had apparently attracted a few hopeful impressees already. Arhenaiyth was still complaining, but T'ri happily tuned him out by humming something off key. He miiiight still have been slightly buzzed, but that was nothing new to the Weyrling or the Blue. Sliding off Henny's side, he held a hand up to Olivia, helping her down. "I expect you to be my meat shield, now," he told her as they approached the small gathering, "I totes don't need any babies in my life besides Henny."

Porita wasn't sure what had woken her. Maybe it was another nightmare. She had them less and less of late, but the violent attack on the Watch and Guard whers had her worried. Unable to sleep despite the hour, she wandered down to the kitchen for a snack. She'd just sneaked past the dinning hall, when something small barreled into her. Neyki chirped in protest, then choose to ignore the girl and her hyper blue. They were just too happy. Wasn't anyone in a bad mood around here today?
Annatolli smiled up excitedly at Porita's shy face. "Sorry! Are you gonna see the babies?" she asked brightly. "Babies?" Porita was confused, but the girl had a bowl of meat in her hand. It must be fire lizards, she thought. Hoayamae would never let to girl go and see salamandyr eggs. Speaking of which, the old Headwoman poked her head out of the kitchen. "Oh good. Would you take her, dear? I don't want her wandering the river alone and I've got meals to cook." Porita looked down at Anna's hopeful face and tried to think of how to explain that she didn't even known where the fire lizards were.
"Chaoth can give you a rider," Merridan offered, coming up behind them. "Thank you very much," Porita smiled in relief at the other woman. She barely knew her, but clearly she was meaning to go anyway since she was collecting a bowl of meat as well. Mer gave the two of them a cocky smile. "It's no trouble. He's more than big enough for the three of us." She waved them to follow her outside to where Chaoth, Auran and Vikky were waiting. Shira was off hunting, thankfully, and wouldn't be around to try to eat the newborns.
Chaoth landed a short distance away from the clutch and Mer helped her passengers down. She watched in amusement as Anna ran ahead, nearly tripping on the sand in her excitement. Auran landed on her shoulder, watching stoically. Smiling at Porita, Mer gave her an encouraging wave forward as they joined the growing group. Mer saw L'am and walked towards him. "Couldn't resist, huh?" she asked with a wry smile.
Anna saw Olivia and practically pounced her with excitement. "Hi Livvie!" she grinned. "I'm so glad you're here! Do you think Xelos would like a friend? Do you?" The blue fire lizard in question trilled from the girls shoulders. This was very exciting and so many people to show his awesome tricks. Porita lingered towards the back of the group shyly for a while, before inching closer to Nautic. She was glad to see at least one person she knew, even if it was a man. Nautic was nice, after all, and the new wherlings seemed to be too. "Hello," she managed softly, before glancing at the eggs. She wondered what happened to their poor mother.

Wake, mine.[/i] R'men groaned at the giant alarm clock in the other room. "What?" he mummbled before he realized that Weith couldn't hear him. What? he repeated wit hi smind after a great deal of effort and cobweb cleaning. What was it this time? You've been summoned.[/i] Weith said. The bronze was trying a different tactic this time with not telling R'men what he wanted him to do. The man rolled over, got up, and got dressed. "Who wants me?" he asked, now thta he was more awake he could think straight. No one ever called him, so who wanted him now? I was sleeping when I got it. They want you down by the coast,[/i] the bronze half-lied. R'men grumbled something about fools, went to the kitchen to grab himself a quick breakfast of klah and meatrolls, and then headed out. Asshat followed him, curling around the man's neck and laying in his shoulder. The Samandyr liked to be with him when he was sleepy, though he was sure that as soon as the brown woke up more, he'd be off somewhere. Look, She is, he commented lazily about Sena. "Hello," he greeted walking up to her. It was then that he noticed why Weith had sent him here. Why, in Farnath's name, did Weith want him to get pets?! The man hid his scowl and traded it for as much of a smile as he could. Damn that dragon. ~*~ "Oh, hello," Kelinale mummbled in his sleep. His arm hung down from his bunk and he waved it absently to try and pet Cleric, who was on the floor. When his hand met air no matter how much he moved it, Kelinale picked his head up and looked. Through bleary eyes and saw that his canine was still curled on the floor. He hoped his bunkmate, whom he had yet to meet, wouldn't accidentaly step on her when he woke up. "I do believe we've been called?" he asked the canine. She did nothing. Life as a candidate was a change. So far, nothing had happened, at that seemed fine to him. He dressed quickly and grabbed something quick from the kitchens. He wasn't sure what it was (some sort of pastry?) but it was delicious. He also grabbed a bowl of scraps for Cleric, who ate them with relish. "I wonder what's up," he commented idly as the pair walked out. The only contact Kelinale had ever had with a dragon had been with Jeth. The blue hadn't been shy about speaking ot him directly, nor expressing his adoration of his dog. Still unused to receiving messages in that sort of manner, the harper-turned-candidate had missed part of what had been said. Chosing not to dwell on that, he loked around when he reached the coast where everyone seemed to be. "L'am!" he said, approaching the man. He was the only one there that Kelinale remotely knew. The following 'hello' was less enthusiastic as the young man caught sight of the eggs. One was rocking violently and Cleric paid attention to it, too.

Ah, there were the first people. He hadn't expected them to be literally falling off dragons but beggars can't be choosers. A few more filtered in and Ae'on nodded privately, satisfied that those there could handle it. Especially that one guy who thought to bring meat. Smart guy...or at least a good listener since Sfelyth had mentioned food. Ae'on was all set to leave then but was stopped by the next pair to arrive. None of them so far had bothered to address him and that was quite fine by him but apparently that left him wide open to an attack by a little kid. Nnnngh.
Ae'on was like...physically incapable of being a rude snarker to little kids. He knew they would just cry or something and then he'd be the one feeling bad. He ignored the kid for a moment as their apparent caretaker addressed him. "I suppose," he said in response to the luck part. Considering he really didn't want a firelizard it was something of an unlucky thing in his mind. Ae'on turned his attention back to the child he nodded and said, "Yeah, she's asleep so you won't bother her. Just be gentle." Aldonza probably wouldn't much like waking up to a kid yanking out her fur or trying to flatten her. Or whatever a kid thought of when they were rough with animals.
His gaze flicked over to the eggs as the two moving eggs both gave way to a firelizard at about the same time. A brown and a green. Huh. He rolled his eyes slightly as the brown immediately pounced the green. She had clearly been looking at the people before her exuberant brother had taken matters into his own claws. He chittered animatedly at her as he kept her pinned by simply laying on her. Oh look, that one looked nice, didn't they? Ahahaha, that one looked funny and kinda dumb! Well that one is just rude. The brown released his sister with an affectionate croon which returned with a slightly confused, quiet chirp.
The brown flew right on over to Aldonza, lightly landing on the dog's back. He shuffled up her back to the dog's ear and went to take a bite of her ear. The sheer panic on Ae'on's face gave the brown pause and he chirped once in satisfaction. Lesson learned, clearly. He went back to the clutch of eggs only to realize his sister had gone and left. Well then. He watched her aerial path to one of the men. The little green settled shyly on R'men's shoulder with a quiet nuzzle to his neck. Food would be nice?
------
Iskierka missed her niece. Impressing a wher meant not only was the girl busy but she was also adapting to a vastly different lifestyle. She was proud of Sena, though. She may have screwed up a bit with Ioth but she still loved the blue in her own way and would be a lot less of a person without him. That Sena had her own life partner relieved the bluerider. It was an almost too-motherly thought - that she wouldn't be around to protect Sena forever. Anyways, suffice it to say that when her niece showed up at the door randomly and asked for a favour the bluerider gave in.
Odd boy included. The bluerider gave him a critical look, uncertain where he stood with her niece. One way to find out. She ferried the pair to the hatching and watched with thinly veiled amusement as Kaius fell off her dragon. Ioth was immediately apologetic and crooned to the fallen boy concernedly. Iskierka didn't bother to dismount, just watched from her perch on Ioth. Rhino, much to her surprise, had left a bit of an ache behind when he'd died from that nasty disease and she had no intention of bonding to anything other than Gawain again.

Name:Impressed to: R'men Color: Green #6B8E23Physical Appearance: The first thing one will notice about this little green is just that - she is little. Not just small for her size, but truly little. Proportionately she is far from perfect, if dwarfism existed in firelizards this girl would be just that. Her wings are shorter than they should be - not short enough to prevent flight, as she will be able to fly decently. Her tail too is short, almost stubby in appearance when compared to that of a normal green. Her body is slender, though due to her smaller overall stature it appears a bit bulky in some areas giving her a more masculine appearance. Somehow she manages to give of a more feminine vibe, despite her body's form. If her slightly smaller and stubbish appearance gave a doubt to her being female, the color of her hide left no doubt. She was gorgeous in color where she lacked finesse in her body shape. The base hue of her hide was a lovely olive green with brighter green markings along her spine from head to tail tip. Her belly was a bit... odd though. No green graced her underside, no, instead there was... brown. A light brown that had a tinge of red to it - the color faded nicely into the green that composed the rest of her hide making it seem a little less out of place. Personality: Typical greens are a bit on the loud side. Flirtatious. Daring. This green however, is not. Perhaps it is her diminutive size and smaller proportions that have made her shy and quiet. She is not so much insecure, though it certainly may seem like it at times when she refuses to give her bonded any real feedback or opinion on anything. It is likely she'll prefer the company of males (of any species) over females - should she Impress to a female it is likely she will spend more time with the male friends Hers has than she does with Hers. Still she will love Hers, male or female, and be there at a moment's notice. This little green is fiercely loyal if a bit quirky. Due to her small size it goes without saying she is likely to be more of a lover than a fighter, she will avoid physical conflict except in the most dire of situations. She will never be as strong a flier as her siblings may be, due to her smaller wings she will have to work a bit harder to keep in the air - even with her smaller size. This will lead to her preferring to be on the ground or perched over being in the air. Because of this, flights will be an interesting thing for this female - she is unlikely to rise as often as normal greens will. When she does rise her flights will be less about flying and more about graceful jumping and gliding - some of it will even be running as if she were a salamandyr! It is likely she will take a mate after her first flight and cling to dear life to the male who catches her, even if he chases other females. She will likely 'look the other way' and forgive him - even if he is a womanizing sort who is never truly bonded to just her.

K’fuzzi knew he was never going to win this fight, his opponents were too skilled, and he loved them too much, every time his greens teamed up to get something from him K’fuzzi’s resistance dried up and blew away like old leaves. Right now he was faced with Jubilee darting around him, her eyes a bright enough green to match the lime speckles that splashed over her face, telling him in clear images and emotions how much she loved hatchings, K’fuzzi suspected some self interest in his firelizard’s assertions but she was still cute.
If Jubilee was cute then Balath, dancing with sheer excitement and begging in a mental voice that sounded breathless though it required no breath, was adorable. Oh pleeeeeaaaassssseee! Pleasepleaseplease? I love you Fuzzimine. The greenrider tried very hard not to smile at his dragon but in the end her artless attempts at manipulation won a smile despite his best efforts. Balath noticed and made her happy squeal along with a victorious little prance. So we can go then? She asked cocking her head to one side, K’fuzzi knew it was hopeless to fight her. ‘Fine, but you two had better be on your best behaviour.’ Even as he said it he felt like he’d turned into his mother.
Balath didn’t waste time gloating once she’d won, she simply lifted her foreleg for K’fuzzi to step up then trotted along until she found a clear space to get airborne from. However before she could spread he wings she spotted someone who looked like they could use a ride and called enticingly. Come on! We’re going to see the firelizards hatch. You want to come too don’t you? K’fuzzi sighed and didn’t look to see who or how many his dragon had invited to join them, it would take a heart of stone to refuse her.
Balath’s passenger service was soon landing on the sand and K’fuzzi was trying to fix who he had to pick up later in his mind, he was sure the excitement would make Balath forget, her memory wasn’t spectacular anyway. Balath had already walked up as close to the eggs as possible and settled down with her muzzle on her crossed wrists to watch them most intently.
Vivano grumbled and waved a hand irritably in the air to ward off the invading voice. ‘How do you expect me to sleep all day if you keep waking me up?’ he said, or intended to say, but he’d been asleep with his mouth open and what actually emerged from his leathery tounge was ‘’Ow’d’y expe’t m’e t’ slee’ if y’ k’p wa’in m’ up.’ Now that he was conscious, or sort of, the wherhander’s hand groped around for a drink, coming up with an irate salamandyr and a stale sandwich crust before the glass of juice he was looking for.
Once he was, unfortunately, slightly more awake Vivano processed the message he’d received and decide he was going to get dressed and go see if anyone was heading out that way. Right after he cleaned his teeth.
One hurried tooth brush and clothing change later Vivano was loping out into the weyr bowl with a sleepy Monster tucked into his pocket when a second disembodied voice caught his attention. It told him it was going to the firelizard hatching and invited him along so he approached the prancing green dragon and climbed aboard when she raised a leg for him. Secretly he was thankful Vivask would be somewhat smaller to ride.
Apparently travelling between woke Monster up, because the Salamandyr was off to investigate before Vivano was even on the ground. ‘Oh wonderful, how am I supposed to find him?’ Vivano muttered to himself as his pet went running right for the gathered people.

At first, when Kaius toppled off of Ioth, Sena didn’t quite register that it had actually been a fall and not just a vaguely awkward dismount. She stayed on Ioth long enough to lean forward, wrapping her arms around Iskierka’s waist from behind to press a kiss to her cheek, affectionate and grateful, and chirruped a pleased “Thanks Auntie, and Ioth, you don’t got to wait for us if you don’t want, I bet we can get a ride back,” with a light rub of Ioth’s hide before she twisted to dismount, with considerably more grace than Kaius had. At least she could do that right. The pile of Kaius when she reached the ground earned a vaguely bemused look as Sena leaned down to pull him back to his feet, tilting her head, “Are you okay…? Can you stand?”
Fortunately, he was, and did, and they made it over to the eggs in fairly short order, Sena waving a polite greeting at Ae’on, not that she’d the faintest idea who he was, before she slumped casually against Kaius again, peering at the eggs curiously as she answered, “Well minus the talkin’ I think…” And then got distracted by a flash of violet. Sena blinked, catching the tail end of Buram’s wave, and then flashed the Candidate a grin, waving back at him as he walked over. “Hey, I like your shirt, ’s real pretty…uh, over there, looks like they’re fixin’ to Hatch too. Oh wait!”
The exclamation was blurted out with such surprise that Sena actually went tense before she glanced around anxiously, “Meat, I can’t believe we forgot that, oh—well. I guess least some people got it,” with a faintly embarrassed smile at L’am just in case the man had overheard her. She settled back into quiet anticipation, until other people she knew came by, and Sena was honestly really surprised by how many of them were people she knew personally; Nautic received a pleasant wave and a wry grin for his question, “Hi…” and then, evasively because she wasn’t sure how well the fact that she’d managed to knee Kaius in the gut getting out of bed would go over, “Did you kidnap a kid?”
And a R’men too.
Wow, she had really not planned on talking this much. Sena still grinned at the bronzerider anyway, reaching out to slip her arm through his to pull him over, still leaning against Kaius, “Hey R’men…” A glance at his Salamandyr and that unfortunate name and she added firmly, “You’re stayin’ over here in case you Impress, ’cause I’m pretty much revokin’ your naming privileges for the rest of forever. D’you know Kaius and Buram and Nausi? Y’all, this is R’men, he’s awful at namin’. But…,” startled by the flash of green wings coming to rest on the bronzerider’s shoulder. How’d she managed to miss that?! “…good at Impressing.”

Kaius shrugged at Sena's explanation. He was sure she was right...after all, didn't most things impress the same? Syd had Jen and Sydsk, Sena had Azzy and Sensk and he had King and Kaiusk. He wasn't really sure if they needed anymore pets than that, but he wasn't about to try and talk Sena out of doing anything. So, he stood watching, her crutch, even if she didn't quite need a crutch anymore. Once people started to crowd around her, however, Kaius was getting a tad uncomfortable. First, he eyed Buram. He had heard of the candidate before, but he hadn't actually met him. From Kaius, the brightly clad boy for a vague wave. Nautic got a blink and a nod.
" Yeah, sorry..." The boy muttered, almost as evasive as his companion. He had hoped that none of the wherhandlers had heard about his journey into the sun with Kaiusk. He knew it had been frowned upon, he didn't know it was downright disallowed. Then more people were gathering around, along with some strange bronzer that Sena seemed far too familiar with. Sure, he didn't mind if she had other friends, but hm. Some guys just didn't have the best of intentions. It was around this time when Kaius was wondering if he could sneak away without being noticed...but since Sena was still leaning against him and had pulled some weirdo bronzerider close to her, that meant, by proxy that he was close.
Joy.
" Hi there," Kaius muttered unenthusiasticly as the eggs that were rocking exploded and the green firelizard flew over to land on R'men's shoulder. Wonderful. Maybe he'd leave to take care of his new baby. "'grats." Kaius muttered once more to the man, apathetic gaze turning to watch the little brown in the nest.
This was great fun.
Olivia blinked when some boy started talking to her. It didn’t take long for an absolutely ecstatic grin to make its way over her face. How did HE know she was wanting to head to the hatching? She nodded happily, nearly knocking Merry off of her shoulder in the process. The happy little bird was never far from his mistress’ side. Pippin and Impala were all curled up together somewhere. “ Yeah!” She said brightly, looking up at the tall boy.
The girl was completely thrilled to be on a dragon’s back. One day, she would be a dragon rider, like T’ri and like N’rik! She could barely hold in her excitement, but when T’ri asked her, she shook her head. “ No way. I’ve oiled N’rik’s Ophi, but I’ve never been on one before. Wowwwww. Your dragon sure is gorgeous. He’s so blue and absolutely stunning!” The girl grinned happily, spewing hearts in T’ri and Arhenaiyth’s general direction. This was great.
However, between was not so great. It only lasted for a second. Afterwards, she listened to T’ri’s song, head tilted to the side. “ What’re you singing?” She asked brightly…but soon eggs took her attention away from the song and she slid down after T’ri, smiling up at him. “ Well duh. I’m sure the babies will stop as soon as they get to me. I’m a great shield!” She beamed up at him before she was swept away in the hurricane that was Anna. “ Yeah!” She told the other girl. “ I’m sure Xelos would love a little friend! Maybe I can get Impala one. She’s been awful down ever since she got sick and went blind. Maybe a little friend would make her feel better.”
“ C’mon.” She told T’ri, trying to pull him along. “ I can’t be a very effective shield if you stay back there, can I?”
L'am stood off to the side, but he pushed the bowl of meat closer to the group of people as the babies hatched. Hopefully they'd be smart enough to grab some so the little buggers didn't go wild. Not that was really too bad. Oh well.
When Kelinale arrived with Cleric in tow, L'am straightened up, a grin on his face. " Hey!" He said brightly. He noticed the kid's reaction to the eggs and laughed a little. " Hoping to add another pet to your collection? How do you think Cleric would like that?"
Buram was actually pleased as pie to be here, even if Sena's friend wasn't. He grinned mischievously and patted Kaius on his shoulder encouragingly. " C'mon. They're babies. Why you being so glum? Turn that frown upside down and all that. They're BABIES!" He just didn't understand why someone would be upset when there were babies around. Unfortunately for chipper Buram, Kaius only gave him a glare. The boy backed off. " Okay, okay...jeeze." But he was still grinning.

Iskierka snorted fondly as her niece gave her a hug and a kiss on the cheek. Affectionate little brat. Not that the antisocial bluerider minded too much. As sad as it was, the bluerider was fairly happy so long as her young charge was. "I'm turning into a sap, Ioth," she commented to the restless dragon she was perched on. Ioth, not really knowing what to say, wisely said nothing. "You wait here, I'm just going to go for a walk until they're done." With that said the bluerider smoothly slide down the blue's side and landed gracefully on the sand before wandering off.
The more distance between her and hatching babies the better. Especially as the already hatched brown bounced around the clutch, trying to see which of his siblings would join him next. He was leaning forward to expectantly nudge the one wiggling egg only to have one explode behind him. He jumped slightly in surprise and craned his head around to regard his almost eye-searingly bright clutchsister. The brown began to maneouver himself to tackle her as well. The green was much too busy licking egg goo off of herself to notice him, right? Right.
Little known to him, the green with surprisingly similar markings to her brother was quite aware of his movements. She waited until he actually launched himself at her to side-step out of the way and watch him crash into another egg. With a disgusted huff the green took to the air, circling a couple times contemplatively before making a bee-line for the best person in the whole bunch. She settled primly on Vivano's arm. The other mindmates would certainly have to go but that could wait until after food, if Hers didn't very much mind.
Back in the nest, the brown was busy uncoiling himself from the mess of limbs that had become him and the occupant of the egg he'd gone sailing into. Pinned below him was a distinctly unimpressed looking blue firelizard. The brown showed his teeth in a way that was reminiscent of human grinning and backed off his brother. He was a bit sorry for busting his egg like that but there was no reason to be that...glum. Sheesh! The brown chittered in good-natured scolding at the blue and earned a pointed chirp in return. The brown was still on his tail, thank you very much.
The brown shook his head in amusement and chirruped a couple more times before backing off and abandoning the nest. He'd noticed someone, he had. They seemed positively lovely and playful and had oh so many friends! He snatched at Kaius' hair on the way playfully, not tugging hard enough to hurt. Lighten up! The brown then proceeded to flutter around Sena's head enthusiastically, trilling and crooning for all his worth. Hello, hell-o, hel-lo, hellooooo! The blue that had finally stood up twitched his wings in a way that was clearly irritable even though his eyes whirled calm tones. Idiot brother.

Name:Impressed to: Vivano Color: Green #BFFF00 #001100Physical Appearance: This green looks distinctly masculine. She's packed full of muscle and has a shorter, more stocky appearance than the typical streamlined green. Naturally this gives her more power than it does agility. Her wings are well proportioned to carry her weight and she can be pretty graceful in flight. On land she tends to stomp around and is a touch on the clumsy side. Her eye ridges are particularly prominent and give her a permanent glaring appearance. Her claws are always perfectly sharp because she sharpens them and are capable of doing some real damage. Perhaps appearances are finally beginning to represent personality because this green is the colour of a ripened lime, a fruit as sour as this green can be. The colour itself is a shocking, almost unpleasant shade on this green's hide and is made all the worse by the dark green, almost black markings on her side. While the graceful rune-like curves and loops and her sides might be pretty otherwise they look almost ominous as almost-black on her bright colouring. They're very solid and traceable and almost seem to suck the light of her hide in. Personality: This green is rediculously snotty. She believes herself to be Faranth's gift to Pern and believes everyone else is below her. Other than Hers she actively hates any other living creature. Thankfully, unless they do something to really piss her off, she's usually pretty quiet about this hate. Hers she has sort of a love-hate relationship with. She hates the type of creature they are and is prone to pointing out the general flaws of their form while at the same time loving the person they are. Since she loves Hers' inner person so much she will never willingly share them with another. Mates, other mindmates, and pets will actually be attacked. Unfortunately this green's superiority complex is not without a strong basis. She's smart for her colour and believes so strongly in anything she does that it's hard not to be drawn into her plans. Her minions should beware though - this green only believes in sharing the guilt and not the glory. Any prizes or benefits gained are solely the green's in her mind. The mastermind is the most deserving, after all. Not to mention that those lesser beings wouldn't know what to do with the spoils of war. The only one she might ever share with is Hers but even that is a rare thing. This green has a penchant for causing trouble. She gets impatient and bored easily and so very disgusted with other creatures that she simply must have an outlet. Chaos is her best friend and she will try to cause as harmful chaos as possible. Even Hers, loved as they are, can be a target though not usually intentionally. If they happen to be around her scene and have the potential to get caught up she won't stop her plans. This firelizard is incapable of processing that the chaos she causes is a bad thing and will never feel guilt over her actions. Name:Impressed To: Sena Color: Brown; ( F4E9DD; 9B7E5E) Appearance: This is a large brown, and will probably reach the size of an average sized bronze. Despite how big he is, he isn’t all that big. He’s a rather slender flit, his proportions stretched out. His tail is extremely long and flexible, his legs are long and his wings are also rather big. He doesn’t have that much muscle. Most of his muscle is concentrated in his tail and in his wings, making him a spectacular flier. He can also walk, but it isn’t his favorite thing to do since he’s a little ungainly walking. Though, he can and will. Since his favorite place to be is usually perched on His’ shoulder, it isn’t that big of a deal. Because of his size, he isn’t really all that agile in the air, probably more so than most bronzes, but less so than most browns. He also has a great deal of stamina, probably not as much as his bronze brother, but a great deal more than most other firelizards. In coloration, he’s a positively delicious looking flit. His main base color is a bleached out cream color. Not nearly as dark as your typical brown, but quite yummy looking nonetheless. His wing membranes are the color of silky hot chocolate. This same color loops and curves down his spine in elegant looking runes that seem to be mimicked in his siblings. It's apt that he likes candy, because he actually looks like something that is deliciously sweet. Perpetually floating around him is an air of pure joy and playfulness. He’s continually moving, looping, flitting around, as if there’s so much excitement and happiness in his body that he can’t really sit still or he’ll explode. He’s also known for making vocalizations constantly, whether it be a happy chirrup, chirp, or soothing croon, you’ll probably hear him long before you see him. Personality: Straight out of the egg, this flit is extremely playful and mischievous. A rather good natured flit, especially as far as browns go, this boy adores playtime more than any other time of day. If he can play, then it’s a good day for him. This playful streak is at its climax while he is a baby. As he gets older, he’ll still be playful, but not nearly as exuberantly so. A paragon of virtue and justice, he sees it as his duty to make sure that justice is upheld in all aspects of life. But it would be much too much to ask him to uphold justice in any normal matter. No. This boy needs to play tricks on people to teach them lessons of what they should and shouldn’t do. He isn’t limited by the tricks he’ll play on people, nothing too disastrous, but his motto is if someone experiences intense pain doing something bad, they’ll learn not to do that again, right? He might unscrew the lid from the salt shaker for the person who uses the last of the salt, or steal from someone who takes things that don’t belong to them. The problem with this flit is that he doesn’t stick around to explain to people what he has done to them, so they don’t learn their lesson in the first place. Though he’s keen on teaching people a lesson, there’s one thing that he can’t stop himself from doing. Stealing candy. This firelizard has quite the sweet tooth and it wouldn’t be odd for him to, at any time, have a massive candy hoard. Of course, he hides the location of his candy and protects it with his life. Even His won’t know where it is, unless they stumble upon it accidently, which is highly likely, because it will likely be somewhere mundane, like His’ sock drawer, or one of His’ boots. Because while he’s highly secretive of his candy hoard, there’s one thing he loves more than his candy and that’s His. Clingy and loving and always wanting to be near His, touching His, his more harsh lessons will be reserved for those who do something that trespass against his, not limited to all out attacking the person who takes all the salt if His wants some. In this aspect, it’s almost impossible to piss this flit off…unless you do something to His. That’s one of the only things that can turn him into a whirling dervish of claws and anger. Otherwise, he’s happy go lucky, wanting to make friends with everyone, His’ other mindmates especially (he considers them siblings), his clutchmates, and wanting to right wrongs across the entirety of the weyr. In terms of chasing, this overly playful flit sees it as another challenge, another chance to play. During flights, he’s excited and thrilled, and it’s impossible for anyone to make him mad, even his competition. He’ll continually be doing aerial feats in the air (which isn’t easy due to his size, but he doesn’t mind failing a few times, since it’s all in good fun), chirruping happily to the other males. He’s so easy going at all times that even if he loses, he won’t care too much. One would be hard pressed not to find him participating in any given flight because they’re just so much fun! He wants to play with all the females of the weyr. He doesn’t care so much about mating, but he isn’t opposed to it if he’s picked, because after all, that’s fun too!

R'men had barely enough time to register Sena's remark before a tiny green baby landed on his shoulder and nuzzled him. The Impression was so smooth that he hardly knew what happened until he felt a little more hungry than he had before. The sensation was far and away less abrupt than it had been with Asshat, which had been little more than an insult and a demand. Not for the first time, perhaps R'men's affinity towards meatrolls had caused something to happen to him around hatching eggs. To the tiny green's politely asking for food, he broke off a tiny piece from his roll and gave it to her. Asshat, however, was less than pleased by this. He frilled, hissed, and glared at the new arrival. In response, the green took the piece quickly and tried to hide in R'men's hair. The man did his best to break up the fight by grabbing the salamandyr, who promptly bit him and scamperred away to Weith. "Sorry, no, I haven't met them. A pleasure," he smiled at the others. He offered another tiny piece to the green after, Asshat running off, she climb back onto his shoulder out of his hair. Returning his attention to Sena, R'men asked, "So, what do you think I should name her, since I no longer have rights to that sort of thing?" At the moment though he honestly had no idea what to call the cute creature. "She is just adorable." ~*~ "Not exactly, no, but if it happens..." Kelinale replied. It had sounded like a good idea, though at the time he wasn't sure of what he was doing, being half-awake. He was just following orders, right? It happened all the time at the Harper hall, especially as a new apprentice. Wake-up, do as you're told. "As for Cleric, I'm sure she'll be fine with it. They connect to your head right? Your mind?" That's what he'd been told once, anyway. Dogs didn't do that so maybe it wasn't such a big deal? He pet Cleric, who was really just happy to see so many people. The dragons made her nervous, but she enjoyed meeting new people! "If I'm a candidate, it supposed to happen eventually, right?" Better start small first. If Cleric didn't take to well to the little ones, how was she to take to the bigger ones? It was what his early years in the kennels had taught him: start small.
