Harmony glared furiously up at S’rei for a moment longer, though the crimson coloration of her gaze quickly faded in response to her baby’s actions and Imp’s reassurances. With a slightly disgruntled huff she watched S’rei pick up his new charge and nuzzled Imp back. Yes. Sleeper take care of baby. She shot S’rei another look that clearly stated that he better before crooning in question to Imp. Dar has mate? Make baby? Clearly Harmony was, for the moment, missing what her bronze was getting at. Turning to look for Imp’s human she chirped in understanding. Ah one of their daughters had found her suitable. The large gold would have probably continued to be pleased with this fact had she not been distracted by the cry of Doom from the Night Sky Blue. Head snapping in that direction Harmony gave a questioning chirp to her baby before her eyes settled on the Eclipse Egg and it’s partially hatched golden occupant.
Drawing herself up into a more respectable pose Harmony’s hum intensified until Shells scampered onto the table and rolled an egg of all things towards her hatching daughter. Then her hum became a loud hiss and she flared her overlarge wings in a threatening manner, moving to place herself between Shells and the hatching Eclipse Egg. She offered the loud bronze no immediate words just placing her bulk in his path and giving him a look of warning. To King she responded however. Sweet baby, appreciate yes. I will handle. No fighting. The latter she commanded firmly to both Shells and King before her attention was completely stolen by the shattering of the Eclipse Egg. A loud and welcoming croon was given to her new golden daughter as the large baby gold mandyr flailed briefly and righted herself. Snaking her head around the Eclipse Gold drew herself up into a regal pose daring anyone to say anything about her momentary embarrassment.
Dooooooom! The Night Sky Blue proclaimed loudly again. Causing the Eclipse Gold to whip her head around to regard her large brother, a vicious hiss leaving her throat as she flared her frill. Or rather half a frill. On the right side she had sharp black spines like her dam where as the left side had a brilliant red membrane spanning between the spines. Say again? She dared her brother in a tone that was deceptively sweet, the faintest trace of poison edging it. The Night Sky Blue gave his sister a rather concerned look before suddenly deciding that it was best if he finally got moving.
Besides he had finally found someone suitable. Quickly he waddled along the table before leaping off of it and spreading his wings, gliding rather unsteadily to the next table before continuing on until he had reached the one he wanted. Ignoring the firelizard hissing at him the Night Sky Blue plopped down in front of T’ke and with a creel of despair. She doom you know. Gazing longingly at his new bonded’s plate he gave a rather loud sigh for such a little creature. Starving.
The Eclipse Gold seemed satisfied with her brother’s reaction as she picked her way out of the remains of her egg and flicked her tail, lashing it across the table as her eyes rested on the three bronzes and her golden mother. Frill flicking outwards again the Eclipse Gold approached Harmony in a challenging stalk. A glance was given the bronzes before the newly hatched gold simply commanded them. Stay quiet. Pausing a few inches from her dam the two golds locked eyes, neither blinking nor twitching a muscle until finally Harmony took a deliberate step forward into her daughter’s space and flared her sharp tines. For a moment it looked like the Eclipse Gold might challenge back but instead she dipped her head reluctantly, folding her frill back, before touching her muzzle to her mothers. Queen Mother. Seemingly satisfied Harmony trilled to her daughter. Good Baby. Yours waits.
With that Harmony draped a wing over Imp using it to pull the smaller bronze to her side to nuzzle him in a blatant show of affection and possessiveness. The Eclipse Gold turned from her damn and sire then and regarded the humans who were no doubt watching her every move. The gold had known who she had wanted immediately upon hatching however and wasted no more time. She reached her mind out to wrap it firmly around Osnat’s. Not graceful at all. She answered for the humans sprawled at her bonded’s feet. The best place for them in her opinion. Come. Leave groveling ones. With this she curled about the egg gift one of her newslaves subjects had oh so lovingly provided. Crack this my favored one. I hunger. Baby claws tapped at the surface of the egg that was currently very much bigger then her, narrowed rainbow eyes fixed on Osnat.

Slipping quickly through the crowd Elysia’s eyes flicked from S’rei to the grouping of mandyrs scampering around the table and the back to the bronzer. S’rei or no S’rei if even one of those things so much as glanced at her she was running as fast as possible. Last thing on earth the greenrider wanted was a worm. That thought had Amour crooning down at her from his perch on the rafters. He looooooooved babies. His should get a baby. Oh pleaaaaaaase? It was a shame the mandyrs wouldn’t let him get close because Amour wanted to make friends with them all. Grim, who was perched near the intricately marked brown, gave an amused chirp and rustled his wings. They were aglow with such life weren’t they?
The Benden woman finally reached the bronzer just as he dropped his hand to encourage a little pale blue to climb into his palm. Blinking at S’rei with an expression somewhere between disgust and worry she froze until he spoke. Elysia wasn’t sure what the proper reaction would be for a moment. She was well aware of S’rei’s issues with pets. He had quite disliked Amour and Baron at first. It had taken him awhile to accept them. First treating them as invisible and then warming up to them by degrees until a point where he finally actually showed them open affection. His previous mandyr Worm was something the greenrider had asked about once and then never again. So she was caught a bit flat footed when his expression didn’t reflect anything resembling irritation. He didn’t even sound upset.
Elysia’s thoughts were broken as she was addressed by the tiny thing curled up in S’rei’s palm. Lovely hmm? Dark eyes examined the little creature even as Amour fluttered down from the rafters to perch on her shoulder and croon adoringly to the blue. Hello baby! Wrinkling her nose at her firelizard the greenrider resisted the urge to flick him on the snout as the eager brown leaned forward. “It seems so.” She replied in a neutral tone to S’rei before eyeing the baby again. Why did it have to be cute and greet her so sweetly? “Hello there little one. Did the big lug feed you yet? His mind seems to be going in his old age.” Flicking her eyes back up to the bronzer she snorted. “You brought him home. He’s sleeping on your side of the bed.”

Er’ani hazarded a glance at the clutch when Vellani addressed M’ta. Was that a gold? Oh man. He so should have been closer. Wouldn’t that be awesome? Then again looking at the chaos and remembering his last mandyr hatching maybe not. Hmm. With a shrug he turned back to the blonde girl and grinned reaching out to pet her firelizard. “Yeah he’s a real hard ass.” A glance was given to M’ta then as the short man shot off a comment and the albinorider grinned. “Aww don’t feel left out. Feel free to jump in whenever you want.” Giving another wink to Vellani he laughed and rubbed Sammy’s eye ridges. “Well besides trying to get Devon a brother yeah I had hopes but it looks like it’s almost over. Shame.”
Stretching and taking a final glance at the clutch he frowned slightly. “Yep it seems the last two just impressed. Well so much for that.” Turning another bright smile onto Vellani he offered her his arm. “So would you do me the honor of being our breakfast guest? We could certainly use some feminine company. I promise I won’t make you sit next to M’ta.” The last words were offered in a playful tone as he offered a grin to his former teacher.
