You need to call the weyrlings, it’s time for their lesson. Tell them that they have two minutes or they have extra chores, I’mny told his dragon, settling into his chair in front of the class. He’d removed the desk, leaving only free space in between him and the scattering of chairs. He’d purposefully arranged them in a semicircle in front of him, wanting to make sure that he was the focal of all of their attention. He needed their attention today and he needed them to be close to their dragons, so he left space in front of them for the dragons to sit. The bonding activities would require contact between the pairs.
Lessons, lessons. You have two minutes, he told the junior weyrling dragons. He wasn’t going to speak to the humans, he didn’t like them. He didn’t like sharing His with them, but he said that he had to. He just wanted these lessons to go as quickly as possible so that he could have his bonded back without the little human pests. As the weyrlings began to arrive, I’mny glared at them all. “You think that you took long enough?” he asked sarcastically, “Imbeciles, take a seat with your dragons in front of you. We’re going to be doing important work today and you need to make sure that you’re actually paying attention to me this time.” He gave his little smirk and followed it with a deep frown. “What are you waiting for?” he asked, “SIT!” Attendance T'nmor of bronze Jedirth S'adi of bronze Sitieth Q'in of brown Russeth N'tian of brown Elleoth A'viar of blue Benath L'ron of blue Fortith T'ra of blue Gartoth D'niel of blue Zorith Devai of green Sendreth Janisi of green Storith Sikowy of green Linoth Fiona of green Raiyth

Thankfully, once Fortith had gotten back to being his old self, if mildly more agitated that he had been played a fool of, the voice that emulated that of the dragon had vanished from L'ron's thoughts. The momentary lapse of sanity had faded almost instantly, and he had settled into a more comfortable relationship with his dragon. Though, sensing that L'ron's fearful respect had been waning, Fortith had begun to be sure to project his dark thoughts onto the teenager, only to find, with some small aggrivation, that he was met with only acceptance.
When the next lesson rang through his mind, Fortith saw an opportunity to remind his bonded exactly who was in control here. Though tempted to make the boy late, he knew that hearing the people moving would be like to give the pessimistic lad a hint to the blue's game. Come, Fortith demanded, stepping towards the door, it is time for another lesson. L'ron, who had been thinking over last lesson's discoveries, soon found his bright eyes glancing over towards Fortith.
Finally, he followed his dragon almost lazily into the room, glancing at the desks arranged into the semicircle. He was reminded of his past, of the distant memory of a Harper teaching small children arranged in a way such as this. At the Weyrlingmaster's sarcastic comment, L'ron raised his eyebrow, brushing irritably at one of the light locks that framed his face. Imbeciles?
Only an imbecile takes lightly their opponent. Fortith commented to His, stalking over to a desk near the center. He wanted to observe this man, to feel for his character, to find the cracks he could wheedle into one agonizing moment after another. After feeling a query from the second half of the pair, Fortith glanced behind him as the blueweyrling took his seat with the same apathetic attitude he had been demonstrating earlier.
If he doesn't think that he will not find conflict among such a group as my mother has given him, then he is foolish beyond words. Fortith anticipated much, L'ron thought, half turning his head to see when the other arrived. Due to his dragon's proddings, the former mild pessimism had taken a deep dive into a canyon of darkness. He looked for faults actively at times, and found it relaxing, being able to see the points at which others might be insecure on, a foothold should he ever need it, though the dragon longed to take a more active part in enlarging the cracks in a person's ego. However, for L'ron's sake, mostly, he passively waited, though he was sure that it would not last much longer.

FiMine! Upup! We've got lessons, and we're going to be laaaaaaaate! Raiyth's pleading whine echoed through Fiona's head, startling the young woman into action. There were lessons now? She had not heard about them. Then again, she had not been exactly coherent as of late. The incident at the Hatching Grounds had put her in a fit for days, and even now, she started to shake at the mere thought of it. She hated violence; really, she did.
"I'm coming," she told her dragon aloud, finishing tidying up her bed and then yanking on her boots, hopping a bit ungracefully as the second one proved more troublesome than the first. Finally situated, she pushed her dark curls away from her face and followed Raiyth out the door, the dragon several paces ahead of her. Why the rush?
We only have two minutes! Raiyth insisted, managing to walk without tripping over everything. We have to go nownownow! the green weyrling added, tucking in her little wings and occasionally glancing back at her ever-too-slow human. They were going to be late! Couldn't Fiona hurry more? She was-
"Raiyth, I can't go anywhere, if I'm stepping on your tail," Fiona pointed out. In her haste the green weyrling had slowed to a crawl to wait for Fiona, and it took a moment for the dragon to realize it. When she did, she scuttled off again, beating Fiona to lessons by a good measure and bobbing her head at the Weyrlingmaster. She spotted Fortith and deliberately chose to park herself as far away as she could, settling in front of one of the chairs near the end.
Fiona, moving at a half-run, nodded politely at the Weyrlingmaster and scurried to her seat, a bit startled by his harshness. Not a nice man. He must be sad. Raiyth privately pointed out to her. Calling names isn't very nice at all, no. D'you think he doesn't like us? she inquired, to which Fiona had no appropriate answer. Well, they were here. Where was everyone else... besides the pair that Raiyth had taken great pains to avoid?

You know what Janisi? Do you know? Do you? Storith asked excitedly, raising her head from sorting out her collection of ‘sparklies’ mostly rocks with quartz or calcite veins in them mixed in with the odd bit of sea smoothed glass or discarded metal.
Janisi rolled her eyes and looked up from the shirt she was mending with a seris of tiny stiches, since being stabbed on the hatching grounds Janisi hadn’t been up to much physical and she was forgoing her daily walks in favour of less sternuos tasks. No Storith, I do not know, I do not know because you haven’t told me yet. The answer contained some exasperation.
We have another lesson, we must be there in two minutes. Storith was now practically hopping around with impatience. Janisi stuck the needle in her sewing and hopped off her bed, wincing as she pulled her half healed wound. Storith turned around to watch herchosen with concern. Are you…
As well as I can be not long after being stabbed and well enough. It hurts a little but we have no time. Janisi interrupted Storith before the young dragon could get to the end of her question. She walked, quickly, across the room and pulled the door open. let’s go
Going. Gone. Storith replied cheerfully as she bounded out the door and along the halls with Janisi trailing her and muttering vile things about Bendenriders, some of which were quite likely not anatomically possible.
Storith didn’t bother to acknowledge the weyrlingmaster when she entered the room, several feet ahead of her bonded, however she did obey his instruction to sit, choosing a seat near the other green for herself and Janisi. Janisi entered the room, bowed her head to the weyrlingmaster and took the seat that Storith chose for her without comment but with a slight wave for the greenpair sat near her.
