Well, at least in the archives you are not moving alot...
Shut. Up.
Beka was no more pleased with being stuck in the archives than she would have been out in the sun on boat duty. All the chores seemed untasteful, there was always something about them that wasn't pleasant. Whether that was scrubbing the boats down or rowing, or wiping tables, or in this case, copying records or dusting.
Thanks to a certain blue that she was bonded too, Beka had been given one option. Sit and copy. Something that was not only boring, but something that Beka wasn't particularly good at either. Her writing skills were basic at best, and there were times that the blue weyrling felt that the copy came off worse than the original. Such as the last one, which needed to be done again, the moment Beka actually got over the annoyance.
Practise makes perfect. Old saying, very old. Yet it seemed to Beka, no matter how many times she wrote out the same letters, they never seemed to get much neater than the last time. A little, but not much. Rubbing at her eyes as though this would help with the tiredness, Beka glanced up at Anai, the green flitt watching her bonded with a slightly concerned look. She'd been fairly quiet for the past.. while. However long it had been since Beka had come in to do her chores, but that didn't mean the little green wasn't worried. Hers was so tired.
"I'm fine Anai, really. Even Thoth isn't worried, so you shouldn't be either." Beka chuckled as the green sniffed, showing her distaste in that opinion, before chirping again as Beka sighed. She hated that Hers was so tired, and sick or hungry sometimes. Beka merely chuckled again and put the pen down to pet Anai gently, there were times she hated Thoth for his stubborness on the matter, but slowly, Beka was getting used to the idea. She didn't like it, not one bit. The idea was still extremely terrifying, what did she know about family or love?
"D'you think he's right Anai? Think it's a good idea?" Anai merely yawned at her bonded as Beka's hand went self conciously to her stomach, and the very slight roundness there. Shaking her head clear of those thoughts, Beka sighed as she went back to copying over the records. Boring.
