Chores, were boring.
This conclusion was reached after about five seconds of looking around the Records Room. What was one to do? Sweep, dust, copy? All of that sounded incredibly boring to Kaerlin, but he supposed, tedious things still had to be done and who better to get to do it than candidates? Candidates had to do something, and Kaerlin was convinced this was one of the chores that was created solely to test patience and endurance. How long could you put up with sneezing your brain out through your nose - A test of endurance?
Of all the possibilities, Kaerlin liked dusting the best, it at least meant moving. Teachnically, if he dusted all the scrolls and hides down, it wouldn't be his fault if a mess was made on the floor, now was it? Smiling at his ever so clever plan, Kaerlin got right down to it, dusting the hides and shelves down as quickly as possible before using a nearby table to clean the rag off with one smack.
"Hey!"
The voice that protested the movement wasn't his though, that was a girl's voice, one that quickly dissolved into coughing from the dust. The moment it cleared, Kalia glared at him, hand pausing where she'd obviously been compying something down.
"Oh. Um, sorry?" Grinning sheepishly at the girl, Kaerlin had to bite his lip to stop himself from laughing when she merely arched a brow at him,
"Do you always act so sincere when you blow dust in people's faces, or am I just lucky?"
"Just lucky, hey, you being here means I have someone to talk to!"
"I have chores to do too, copying these out." Kalia's voice was amused, lips twitching into a smile even when she tried to force it down. He was right though, it meant someone to talk to and copying things out was incredibly boring.
