Lesson 2:
-Rank and Responsibilities – Who the people of rank are, how to treat them, learning that all candidates are equal no matter what, how to do each chore.
Classes were on again, now that the hatching was over. Time to get back to educating the Weyr's young folk who were going to be standing for the next batch of eggs ... whenever they happened to be laid. The Weyr now had two adult Queens again, and one Queenlet, so the Weyr should have a fairly steady supply of new dragons once again.
That is, if the supply of candidates could keep up. So far, so good.
Today's class was small ... but then this was all that was left of this class, and Emoyan wasn't about to dump some of the new candidates into a class they were not ready for. A good structure always needed a solid foundation.
Voyager was sitting imperiously upon the mantle, apparently finally having realized he was a bronze, and starting to act the part. Instead of like the ditzy baby flitter he had been acting like.
Rascal, however, the ever faithful brown flitter, was parked on the table in the common room, near where Emoyan was standing. He was watching over some of the parchments with a stern eye. And for good reason ... Skink was in the room!
The bitty scrap of green that was the mandyr was scooting around the room, investigating all the crooks and crannies, pretending that she was not at all interested in the parchments that Rascal was guarding. She wasn't going to try to eat them and shape them into a spit-molded nest while someone was watching...
