It was too nice a day to try and coop up the students and their dragons. So after a brief lecture and the passing around of notes Sel’n had gestured for them all to make their way outdoors. Best get the practical part of the lesson done now. Hope no one had a problem with heavier lifting. Gesturing for the riders to make a orderly line in front of the filled bags of firestone the brownrider gestured to his dragon. He could take the hatchlings elsewhere so they could perform their part. Kaaoloth crooned as he bespoke his class. Come with me little ones. We will be performing some exercises together. While we work I want to you keep close mental contact with your riders. Sel’n and I will be asking you and yours questions pertaining to what you are learning while you are apart. He stepped forward and started to lead them to the middle of the training field. You will be expected to answer questions your bonded should know and they will be expected to answer questions that you should know. Flaring out his wings be began to lead them in a series of stretches. The questions would come as the lesson began in earnest --- I swear my weyrlings are in attendance. Feel free to interact with either if you want to. As usual, Jagjith was the first in line behind Kaaoloth. He was getting better at the art of just... appearing at the front, rather than fighting his way there or cutting people off. His main motivation for being in the front was that he was worried he'd miss something, although there was always the nagging belief that first was best. Exercises and close mental contact weren't going to be a problem for them, Jagjith was sure - just in case, he reached out for T'mund as his Rider took a spot front-and-center near the pile of mysterious sacks. Remember, T'mund, pay very close attention. We must get everything right.
T'mund nodded, adding a very serious, You know that's what I'm good at, Jagjith. I'm confident neither of us will become distracted. He did raise his eyebrows at the sacks, though. Depending on what those were filled with, they could be heavy - T'mund was 100% opposed to physical activity, unless it involved carrying books. While Jagjith was big and muscular and wasn't worried about whatever 'exercises' were in store, T'mund was shrimpy and wimpy. Sure, he wasn't the youngest in class, but he was one of the smaller ones, obviously barely in to teenage-hood. Still, though, for Jagjith, he'd try his best. So he squared his shoulders and turned in Sel'n's direction, waiting for the Weyrlingmaster's instructions.
Ten almost moaned when Rajnith reported that they'd have to pay close attention to eachother's work. She was still having trouble with that part of the bond - she knew Rajnith was there, but had a very hard time sorting out what was Rajnith and what was her. Big Brother had never been a problem, but his mind was so much smaller, so much more different. Rajnith was just there, a part of Ten as if she'd always been Impressed, but obviously a seperate entity. Ten couldn't totally wrap her mind around that one, and it impeeded communication, mental sharing, the whole deal. Not fun.
Still, they had to go. She trailed Jazz (whom she'd sat near, today, with a friendly wave and a smile) and Rulianaout towards the training grounds, while Rajnith picked her target for the day. Waddling along next to the patchwork Blue who was her roommate, she offered, It's a beautiful morning, isn't it, Dhavalth? I am glad ours are getting along, sometimes TenlieMine is so shy, I worry.

Thank Faranth the lesson was over so quickly! It was absolutely beautiful out. He hoped they were doing some more bonding exercises outside. Rof'l nearly leapt out of his seat. He was the first one outdoors, followed by Kamath. Kamath seemed to like the way his hide shown in the sun. The sun was oh-so-warm, an added bonus. With a soft chuckle, Rof'l scratched the rapidly growing head. Oh, Rof'lmine. It is so nice out today! I hope we are doing something fun. Rof'l smiled. "I'm sure we are, Kam," he said teasingly.
I told you not to call me that! the bronze said indignantly. He snorted. You and your foolish nicknames. What was it you used to call yourself, Rofi? Childish and silly, if you ask me. The light insults were laden with a gentle love. Rof'l smiled. Following Sel'n's instructions, he stood in front of the sack. Smelled a bit like firestone. Was that what they were doing? Before he could inform his dragon of his excitement, Kamath relayed the dragon's message. The bronze bounced after the larger dragon with excitement, proud to show off his superior flexibility.
"Oh, we're doing lessons separately?" Disappointment was heavy in Sari's voice. Upasanath shoved her nose into the young Weyrling, nearly knocking her over. Compassionate eyes gazed up at her Saripersonlove. I will stay with Sari. I do not need those exercises. Do not be sad! The dragon said with a soft croon. Smiling, Sari rubbed the pale green's eye ridges. "Don't worry, love. It's just a bit disappointing to me, is all. I like learning with you." She nudged the dragon towards the other dragons.
Reluctantly, Upasanath left her rider. I will stay in constant contact. Closer than we have to. It will be just like doing lessons together![/color] Sari smiled. She would need to be more careful with what she told the dragon. Poor Upasanath worried so for Sari's happiness. Didn't Upasanath realize that the dragon made her happy? She approached a nearby Weyrling. T'mund wasn't it? A brown rider? "Hello," she said softly. "I wonder what is in these bags."

MINE. WE CANNOT BE SPLIT UP. This is all some nefarious plot! They're going to split us up and then never let us see each other again! "They're not goi- arg!" E'iah tripped and nearly face-planted into the ground, managing only at the last second to cover his face with an arm. "Guuh~" Moaning slightly as he rolled onto his back, the Bluerider felt himself restrained from any other movement. Apparently his Dragon had felt it necessary to hide him from sight using his body. Shhh Mine. If we stay still for a moment then make for the trees, they'll never know we left. "Viveth get off of me!" Smacking the Blue hard on the chest repeatedly until he moved, E'iah lay there for a few seconds before rocking up onto his feet. "Viveth you are to big now to be crawling all over me like that. Plus, I'm small and skinny. Not at all like the dreybeast you are." But Mi~ine. "I assume that Master Kaaoloth said something about keeping tabs on eachother." Yes... "So," He continued while brushing off the tan dirt from his all black attire, "I won't be far and all you have to do is call me if you need me and I'll come over there." Viveth hissed in disappointment but reluctantly slunk over to where the other Dragons were gathering, making sure he wasn't close to any of the others.
"What am I going to do with him?" Sighing E'iah adjusted his wrist bands before walking over to the group of Weyrlings and stood next to no one in particular. He would have stood next to T'mund but it looked as if he was already busy with another Weyrling, he didn't want to interrupt. Eying the bags, the Blueweyrling ran his hand along his face in thought before subconsciously commenting to the closest person (in this case it happened to be Ruliana), "Looks like we'll be doing chain and toss with full bags..." Normally, if he had been fully aware he had been talking, E'iah wouldn't have said anything to the girl. He was shy enough as it was, but when it came to talking with pretty girls... well he normally didn't. When ever he did it came off as if he was eager to please. Which he was, though he wished he was more subtle about it. He was very much like a young canine.

While 'Reine was quite interested in dragons as a whole -- a good thing, as his life now revolved around a very peculiar dragon indeed -- he did not enjoy the intense physical labor that went with them. Though 'Reine was in shape from, well, a very active sex life aboard a pirate ship, he was not muscle-bound in the least and hated the heavy lifting required of weyrlings. Not to mention, traumatic lessons on runners had given him multiple bruises and saddle sores. If he'd had his way, 'Reine would have quite long ago, but there was no escaping the fact that he was bound with more powerful lines than ever held a sail to the blue dragon who got no end of delight out of humming and crooning.
At least Madhavath was getting better. Three months of constant practice and matching inner-voice to the outer was helping the blue get a hang on musicality. But the dragon still had a long way to go, 'Reine reflected, as the refrain of a slow and melancholy shanty sang through his mind. Madhavath's mind-singing had always been good -- it was the audible voice that needed work. And though it had been hard (at first) to fall asleep while the dragon sang softly through his mind, the constant thrum of music was now as soothing as the sound of waves and the rocking of the Valiant had been.
The weyrling gathered up his note-taking supplies, doing the hand-motions the Weyrlingmaster had just gone through with one hand while muttering their meanings, trying to remember them all. Some were the same as those that had been used on the ship, but others were quite different. 'Reine followed his roommate while Madhavath bunny-hopped out in front of them, leaping over a bunch of sacks filled with what looked like rock. 'Reine's face immediately registered distress, before he automatically smoothed away the expression with one of noncommittal pleasure.
EYYYYE am going to go with KAAA-oh-loth! Madhavath crooned to 'Reine, ceasing for a moment the endless songs. The blue looked over at 'Reine with gleaming green eyes, and 'Reine managed a smile for his blue. No need to worry the dragon.
Okay, have fun, Dhavvie, 'Reine said cheerily. After lessons, we'll go over some lullabies, okay? Madhavath pranced in delight, eyes sparkling with cerulean. Then the blue leapt from a stand-still over the sacks of stone once more, and went bounding after Kaaoloth. 'Reine shook his head before turning back to stare at his doom.
"It's firestone, isn't it?" 'Reine asked glumly of T'ris, examining the bags dully. He wasn't dressed for heavy work; but then again, he never was. At least the former slave had learned not to wear fancy clothes to lessons -- for 'Reine, a petticoat under his blue knee-high skirt and a white cotton blouse tucked into a midnight-blue-and-silver corset was hardly fancy. Just... normal.
