Flopping back down he examined the opposite bank with green whirling eyes. This was always his favorite lesson. Watching the little ones stumbling around was amusing. He only had to intercede a few times over the past few turns. Just to make sure nothing horrible happened. Always ended up being quite an interesting lesson regardless, with everyone stumbling about blindfolded. Yawning he waited patiently as his continued the lecture. The fun would come soon enough the lecture was drawing to a close. Then the run after the blindfolding was very nice, the little ones following him as their riders learned all about firestone. The big brown lounged on the bank pleasant feelings circling through his mind. Sel’n cleared his throat as he ended the verbal lesson, eyes scanning the young faces. “Alright suppose that’s enough blabbering on for now. Time to move on.” Moving back to his desk he reached under it to pull out a bunch of black blindfolds. Holding one of them up, he gestured to the class. “We are going to perform a little bit of a bonding exercise now. Each of you will be given a blindfold which you will place tightly around your eyes. You dragon’s task will be to guide you safely out of the classroom, down the training field, and across the river to Kaaoloth. There are boats already out there for you all. I do have to warn you. You might get wet, and if anyone cannot swim fear not. Kaaoloth will be watching in case you need help. Now the purpose of this exercise is not to grab onto your dragon’s tail or wing and let them guide you. It’s to use your dragon’s own senses as your own. Share eyes, feeling, scents. It is an exercise to help you better understand how to mesh consciousnesses with your bonded. It might be disorienting and tricky at first but it is something you will all need to practice.” Giving a reassuring smile to the class the Weyrlingmaster extended one of the blindfolds to T’ris. “Now everyone please come up and fetch a blindfold. Don’t all rush out the door at once either. It isn’t a race. Once you get to Kaaoloth you will wait for the rest of the class. Use that little break to rest a bit before the second part of the lesson.” He busied himself then by passing out blindfolds and mentally checking with Kaaoloth to make sure the brown was ready. As if he had to ask. ~~~ T’ris found the spoken lesson to be quite boring. He was trying to learn to read and write better. Really he was. He knew enough but still some things really confused him. Bah this was dumb. Sailors didn’t have to read. Why should dragon riders? Grumbling to himself he randomly doodled on his note paper while Pravinth laid at his feet preening his new blouse. One he had um borrowed from his roommate ‘Reine. Urg that wasn’t going to go over well. His blue was growing swiftly soon he wouldn’t be able to wear stuff like that. As it was he was stretching it out horribly. Faranth he was going to have to replace half his roommates wardrobe at this rate. For some reason Pravinth preferred ‘Reine’s silks and feminine looking things over T’ris pale colored shirts and shorts. Go figure. He nudged the blue with his bare foot and the dragon licked it in response which caused the southern boy to get a goofy looking grin on his face. That tickled. Stop it Prav. Pay attention. But I’m bored we never do anything fun. It's always him talking. He talks soooo much. The blue trailed off as Sel’n spoke and then crooned thunderously when the man finished. Did you hear that T’rismine? An adventure. An epic quest! Scrambling to his feet he flung his wings open, causing his bonded to duck to avoid a facial injury. Grabbing the edge of the dragon’s wing he forced it down. “Relax Prav.” He started just as the bandana was thrust at him. Oh look! Can I have one please? I want one to. Not fair if you only get to wear one. Why can’t we both have one. Tie it on me. It will look better on me. You are handsome without it. T’ris groaned and placed his palm over his face. “Faranth give me the strength to change the things I can and accept those that I cannot.” he mumbled as he tied the fabric around his face and groped for his dragon’s head. Grabbing it he forced it still. “Listen to me Prav.” ~~~ Ruliana wrote her notes in a following script and kept strict attention only defaulting now and again to check on Amalath who was draped over her favorite of favorite brothers Dhavalth. The pale green had her eyes half lidded as she dozed sprawled on the near white blue. As the lesson started to draw to a close Ruliana prodded her dragon gently. Wake up darling. We have some sort of exercise to perform. Raising her head and blinking sleepily Amalath gave a soft nuzzle to her blue brother and proceeded to untangle herself from him carefully. We will have to cuddle later my dear brother. We have to be guides for ours. I am sure you will do a most wonderful job. She praised giving Dhavalth’s neck a soft lick before ambling off towards hers. Upon reaching her she butted her bonded’s hand for a caress and then softly crooned her tongue caressing Ruliana’s palm lightly. The weyrling slightly frowned at the task but resolved herself to it as soon as she got her bandana. Smiling a Amalath and he silent reassurances he tied it tightly around her eyes. Hers was the best. They would be fine. Slowly Ruliana reached towards the green and began the process of delving deeper into their bond. It was strange. Stranger still when the room started to slowly come into focus and she could see herself. Slowly the pair started for the doorway Amalath pausing every so often to make sure hers was okay before moving on again. To her clutch siblings the pale green extended feelings of confidence. They could all do it. She knew they could. They where her wonderful brothers and sisters after all. --------------------------------------------- Running AttendanceBrownweyrling T'by of Nandath 1/2 Bronzeweyrling Rof'l of Kamath 1/2 Greenweyrling Ruliana of Amalath 1/2 Greenweyrling Kalerary of Chandath 1/2 Blueweyrling E'iah of Viveth 1/2 Brownweyrling T'mund of Jagjith 1/2 Greenweyrling Tenlie of Rajnith 1/2 Blueweyrling Jazheera of Dhavalth 1/2 Greenweyrling Sari of Upasanath 1/2 Greenweyrling Meagen of Tarath 1/2 Blueweyrling T'ris of Pravinth 1/2 Blueweyling 'Reine of Madhavath 1/2 Greenweyrling K'fuzzi of Balath 0/2 * First # is times attended lessons, last # is the number of lessons that have been ran. ** You MUST attend lessons to graduate. "Oh dear..."
Sari worried that she would be tripped up by Upasanath on this interesting adventure. Interesting, indeed. Upasanath crooned apologetically. "Oh, it isn't your fault, dear. I actually do think your tail is quite beautiful. It's length is quite elegant. Just...be careful, love." Sari smiled softly at her pale green dragon, scratching the eye ridges softly. Upasanath let out a rumbling noise, almost like a purr.
I think this will be fun. Do not worry, I will do it right! I do not want to hurt my Sarilove. It will be nice, after spending all lesson doing nothing. Speaking with her mindvoice now, Sari chided her dragon kindly. Now, now, we have been doing very Important things. I learned how to care for you, I learned about firestone. Is this nothing to you?
Fine, next to nothing.
Sari sighed, so Upasanath amended this statement. Boring nothing? Boring nothing was not much better, but enough for Sari to let it go. This will be fun, Sarimine. Do not worry. It doesn't become a pretty girl like you. She blushed at the compliment, muttering something about Upasanath's bias towards hers. Upasanath nudged Sari sadly. You do not think your Upasanath is honest? Sari sighed, taking back this statement.
---------------------
We will be the best. We will be the fastest. These others are silly, and not nearly as perfect as we are. Kamath's arrogance was obvious in his tone. He, of course, was the greatest dragon to ever live, right? And his was the greatest...his, yes? Rof'l shook his head fondly, reaching down to rub Kamath's head gently. The bronze was very shiny today. Ever since the oiling lesson, Kamath had demanded oiling far more often than he even ate. Sometimes it was once a day. Sometimes it was multiple times a day.
The bronze's hide was an even lovelier color. Excess oilings seemed to give him a beautiful sheen. In fact, he looked like he was a queen just about to rise. Except, of course, his masculinity and the fact that he was far from fully grown. The bronze looked queen-like in many ways, but his new shine only augmented this. He enjoyed spreading his wings, letting the sunlight reflect off them, so he glittered like he was covered in millions of tiny diamonds. He did this now, in fact, but more out of habit. Naturally, indoors he was not able to reflect much, but he did it anyways.
Rof'l took a blindfold, holding the soft fabric gently. He wondered who had made them. What were they like? Where did they live? Rof'l banished this useless thought from his mind, as he frequently did when such thoughts came up. He fastened the blindfold over his face, finding himself--well, blinded. Kamath let out an amused rumble. You look silly, Rof'lmine. "I wouldn't know, I can't see a thing. These really do their job, don't they, Kamath?"

As Sel'n wrapped up the lesson, T'mund tucked his extremely detailed notes into the portable file folder at his side. Jagjith was bolt upright on T'mund's left, paying just as much attention to the lesson as his rider (care and well being were important, didn't his siblings realize this? What if their riders weren't paying attention, or forgot something?). T'mund had once again taken a seat not next to E'iah, but as near as he could without upsetting Viveth more than necessary. The Brown and the Blue hadn't exactly made progress as far as friendship, but Jagjith was tolerating Viveth more than usual. Not worth it to be rude.
True to form, Jagjith was first to the front of the room, retrieving the second blindfold handed out. T'ris only got the first one because he was right there, after all. Jagjith wouldn't begrudge him that, and didn't make a fuss. The brown, whom T'mund had discovered was a dragon of few words, bobbed his head with detached politeness in Sel'n's direction before returning to his rider, ignoring the chatter of his siblings. They had a task to complete.
In short order, T'mund had fixed his blindfold over his eyes, and without further ado, Jagjith headed for the door. The pair had been working on bond strengthening exercises ever since they found out that was the subject for today's lesson, and it was second nature now for T'mund to slip into Jagjith's mind, using the Brown's eyes instead of his own. Being a bit of a show-off, he strolled for the training field with his arms crossed, whistling off-key under his breath. Easy-peasy, unless someone else went out of control on their way to the field and Jagjith didn't see them coming.
On the other side of the room, Ten was having a silent argument with Rajnith. Luckily, she'd finally gotten the hang of nonverbal communication, although she still had to mouth the words for them to be 'loud enough'. She'd solved this problem by propping her chin on one hand, letting her fingers cover her moving lips while she appeared to pay attention to Sel'n.
I will no!
It is easy, TenlieSlaveLove. You simply go over, open your mouth, and use your vocal chords to speak the word 'Hello', Rajnith said, her tone condescending. Watch, then go get a blindfold. I won't have you in one of the... substandard ones. Remind me to speak with you about your clothes when we get home today, as well. Ten looked down at her plain shirt, puzzled, as Rajnith practically flounced over to Kamath, her eyes a pleasant blue. Shiny as always, I see, Kamath. Lovely to see you. Turning to her other side, the Green addressed the Blue there, ignoring the Rider trying to get attention. And Pravinth - is that silk?
Ten just rolled her eyes and headed for Sel'n, returning to Rajnith's side before tying the blindfold over her eyes. Ok, I will meet someone once we do get to the training field. For now, though, I do need your help! Rajnith sniffed, then swung her head over to poke her rider in the side. You need to be in my head, first. Use my eyes; can't you feel them?
"No," Ten murmured aloud, trying to keep a hint of panic out of her voice. She'd never had this much trouble with anything, except maybe smelting. Even that she figured out eventually; this seemed hopeless. She tried to find Rajnith's eyes until the noise level in the classroom dropped significantly, meaning most people had cleared out. She fumbled a step or two towards the door, then gave up, pushed her blindfold above her eyes, and raised her hand. Maybe Sel'n could help?

Jazz openly yawned at the lesson. She hadn't been so bored since...well, never. At least, she never remembered being so bored. She scribbled notes idly in a barely legible font. The point was that it was perfectly legible to her...at least within a few months of writing it. When the lecture finally ended and they were given a new task she smiled. Oh good! Jazz could do work, but studying and lessons? She'd rather pass on that. She prodded Dhavalth mentally to get him to wake up. She didn't really want to interrupt his nap but they needed to get moving.
She took a blindfold as her blue yawned mightily and disentangled himself from his clutchsister. Darling Amalath, you shall do fine, he told her charmingly. And now I shall do wonderfully with Mine! Jazz sighed good naturedly as she slipped the blindfold over her eyes. Almost immediately Dhavalth was diving into her mind and sharing his sight with her. She blinked behind the blindfold and the vision Dhavalth shared with her disappeared. Oops. She closed her eyes and let herself sink back into the blue's mind and soon found herself able to see.
Well...that was a bit weird. Her vision shifted without her control as Dhavalth turned to look at something. "Hey! Don't do that so fast. It makes me dizzy." I am so sorry Jazz. Shall we move on so we are not last? "That wasn't a very good rhyme, but yes. Let's go." It was somewhat pathetic how the both stumbled on their way out of the classroom and out of the barracks. Poor Dhavalth was a bit unsteady on his feet and Jazz was lacking her vision. As she convinced the blue to pay more attention to the ground instead of his siblings Jazz became more sure footed. She was fairly graceful when she knew what to look out for. Standing on a moving runner gave one quite a bit of practice at being graceful. Most doubted her grace though. She didn't 'float' like some women did. She practically marched everywhere. Thankfully, she was marching in the right direction.

Madhavath was usually bored with lessons. 'Reine had convinced him over the past month that practicing music was unacceptable during lessons. So the blue was trying to restrain that tendency towards song. But 'Reine was so busy trying to pay attention on minimal sleep -- he wouldn't notice if lovely Madhavath practiced quietly, right?? Sneaking a look at the skirted young man, Madhavath started humming just out of the range of audible, but soon forgot the desire to remain quiet and started crooning, less off-key than when he had first been Hatched. 'Reine ignored it for a moment, then sharply kicked Madhavath's blue-violet shoulder with the top of his bare foot, not pausing in his note-taking.
This repeated itself several times during the lesson, until Madhavath's shoulder started feeling sore and the blue dragon started sulking. Already the dragonets were getting almost too big to cram into the lesson room. Soon they would all have to wait outside, and 'Reine couldn't direct those irritating reminders to keep quiet! How on Pern was the lovely lady Madhavath to get better at singing if the voice was never allowed to be worked??
'Reine, meanwhile, was trying to take notes and ignore the fact that one of his favorite blouses was currently being stretched entirely out of shape by Pravinth, across the room. He hadn't had the time to hide all his clothing, though the vast majority of the silk was secured in his locked clothes-chest. Not that blouse, though. Oh no. Not the one covered in ivory lace and seed pearls. Though at least the blue had good taste in clothing to steal.
'Reine waited out the initial rush for blindfolds, before getting his own. He could feel Madhavath's irritation at not being allowed to practice music, and had the feeling that he was about to get punished a little for his not-so-sympathetic treatment of Madhavath's obsession. The dragon deserved it though, after keeping him awake for hours practicing the words to just about every song he had ever been taught. Madhavath wanted to forget NOTHING.
"Please don't lead me into a wall, 'Dhavvie," 'Reine pleaded, tying the fabric over his eyes. It was affective -- aside from a slight glow above and below, his vision was blacked out. The blue whistled, a new skill acquired from a fire-lizard, and headed out the door, before turning and waiting for 'Reine, who was quite disoriented from the first step. He stopped moving and tried to blot out his own feelings, picking through his mind for the connection to Madhavath. He finally found it, and tried to look through the blue's eyes.
He promptly got dizzy and flopped to the ground, putting a hand to his forehead. His skirts frilled around him as he tried again, holding onto the image despite the dizziness. Madhavath had a wider field of vision than a human, and it was faceted like his eyes. There were colors he had no name for, and Madhavath's eyes were at his chest-level. Eye-level right now; he was on the ground. Even more disconcerting, Madhavath was staring at him, head cocked. 'Reine's head hurt from trying to deal with it.
He hauled himself up and staggered forward, trying to track himself in the mirror that Madhavath's vision showed. It almost made him nauseous. He tried to judge the distance between himself and the doorjamb, and took another step forward. No, he was too far left... he moved to the side and forward. Wrong side. 'Reine whacked himself in the face as he stepped into the doorpost. Madhavath giggled, and the world tinged bright green at the edges. Lovely...

Viveth had gotten big enough that he forced E'iah to sit with both of his legs folded up on his chair. It didn't bother him much since he was used to sitting on small surfaces due to his avid tree climbing, but still, soon the Blue wouldn't be able to fit at all. Hugging his knee, the Blueweyrling wrote with his other hand, being ambidextrous was a gift he was very much grateful for. Offering T'mund a glance before scratching down the rest of his notes, E'iah sighed and sat back when their Weyrlingmaster announced the end of his so called 'blabbering'. But he wasn't particularly enthused about what they were going to do next. Viveth needed him to be the guide, the out come of this exercise was going to be horrendous. Not to mention E'iah didn't necessarily want to delve deeper into the mind of his Dragon. He was afraid that if he went too deep, Viveth's paranoia would completely overpower his own rationality. Shifting uncomfortably, the small teenager rested his head against his knee. Like always he would have to end up going last, but it was it bad for him to feel slight relief at the trouble already shown by the others in the room?
Mine. Dont' let the teacherhuman blindfold you. This is definitely a plot to humiliate us. Though look at them, how unbalanced they are. Despite this being plot, you would never look like that. The others are so very... unconnected. See how Madhavath's tumbles. Aren't the others just so~ perfect? The Blue snorted. "Viveth thats not nice."Sarcasm was a new vice for the large male, one he used well (although not perfectly) for his young age. "And I have to. Sel'n is the weyrlingmaster, there for he gets to tell us what to do. Plus, how many times do I have to tell you... They wouldn't do anything like plot against us." Although he couldn't see Viveth, he could almost feel the Blue roll his eyes, as if to say 'sure, they want you to think that.' Hopping off of his chair, E'iah paced quietly over to Sel'n and retrieved a blindfold returning to his 'desk' a few moments later. He was surprised though to see Viveth out from under the desk and standing near the isle.
The Blue's tail swept side to side and his body was low to the ground, he was eying the others in the room. I do not like this Mine. "I can't help it Viveth. Will you try this, if not for yourself, for me?" Crouching down next to Viveth's head, E'iah gently patted his neck. He realized that he was not only asking the Blue for cooperation but himself as well. His fear of sinking far into the neurosis was all too present, but if he acted confident maybe Viveth would be willing to try it. Okay mine. We will try this test or whatever it is. Balancing on the balls of his feet, E'iah tied the blindfold around his head in a swift movement. He stood and reached out for Viveth's wing, who helped by placing it closer to his human. Okay mine. Let me see for you. The Blueweyrling hesitated before releasing the thin mental lock he had been working on. For a moment, his body froze and tensed as Viveth's mind connected fully to his. They were watching him, they were always watching him. They hated him. He hated them. Can't they just ignore him? What if he was to turn invisible? Then they couldn't watch him with their evil eyes. Why was he always under sur- E'iah tore himself away from his Blue, violently jerking backward and slamming into the desk. Sliding to the floor with a gasp, the Weyrling twitched before touching his face and arms. He was himself again? Removing his blindfold as something pressed into his chest, E'iah wrapped his arms around the nose of his Dragon. Mine are you alright? I felt you and then you left so quickly. You feel shaky. "M-maybe we should take baby steps... when it comes to mind sharing." The onslaught of paranoia, fear, and annoyance he had felt when they connected had frightened him. Although, because of that sudden flood of emotions and visions, he felt as if he understood Viveth a little better. E'iah didn't know how the Blue could live with all of that all the time, but it was certainly impressive. Using Viveth as leverage to get back to his feet, E'iah rubbed the part of his back that had hit the desk. Ow.
"Lets see, if Sel'n has... any advise for us about the 'baby-steps'." Stepping lightly over to the front desk, he waited politely (if not a bit sorely) until Sel'n was done with Tenlie questions. He could wait, especially if it gave him a chance to recover a bit from that shake. He should have controlled connecting to Viveth a bit more. Obviously their problem wasn't becoming one, but moderating their connection until E'iah could figure out a way to deal with the darkness in Viveth.

I am shiny, am I not?
Kamath had begun to like this somewhat pudgy green. She was always saying that he was shiny and pretty. He liked shiny things, and was glad to be one of them. Complimenting him proved that she had taste. He was the finest dragon in the Weyr! The shiniest, the most beautiful, the smartest, the strongest. Each compliment he received only went towards boosting that massive ego. He spread his wings, rising up on his hind legs, so she could admire him properly. As he sat again, her rider called to her, jolting Kamath back to the task at hand.
Rof'lmine! We must be the first to reach the large brown. With a fond chuckle, Rof'l reached for a blindfold. He had grown up--somewhat, at least--with having to take care of such a large needy creature. He tied the cloth over his eyes, finding himself in total darkness. With an almost natural ease, Kamath pushed his mind and eyes onto Rof'l. Rof'l gazed through dragon eyes, gasping at how different everything looked!
Kamath regarded the door, urging his rider to walk towards it. Dragon and rider took a step forward. Kamath was a step closer to the door. Rof'l, however, crashed into Sel'n's desk, falling backwards. "Mff," was the sound to leave his lungs as the air was pushed from him in surprise. Kamath rushed over, nudging Rof'l up, regarding him, his eyes whirling apologetically (not that Rof'l could see that, of course.) I am sorry Rof'l! Please don't be mad at your shiny Kamath! Rof'l laughed. "Am I really that tall?" He asked, gazing at himself through dragon eyes.
Kamath crooned happily, glad the apology was accepted. This time, he regarded Rof'l and the door. It was strange, watching yourself walk but not seeing from your own eyes. He stumbled, getting used to this feeling, until he reached the door. "Door! Door, Kamath! We're almost partially halfway there! Kind of!" Of course, this basically meant they'd made little progress, but wanted to feel the pride of achievement. Rof'l stumbled out the door, Kamath following proudly behind him. The barracks were a similar terrain, and Rof'l used the walls to help him keep his balance in the dizzying confusion of seeing through dragon eyes.

Sari took a blindfold from Sel'n, thanking him softly. She tied the fabric around her head, attempting to secure it. Her hair, being the limp but silky straightness it was, let the blindfold slide. As a result, one eye was exposed perfectly, and the other was simply shut because there was a blindfold in it. Sari groaned. She was having difficulty before they had even started. She tied her hair back with a leather strap. This time, the knot of the blindfold rested on top of the bound hair, securing it. She peeked out for a moment.
Most of the other Weyrlings had at least started, and a couple had already left the room. With a sigh, Sari let the blindfold do its job. She stood there in blackness a moment, searching for her dragon's eyes. Upasanath? Can you help me see? Upasanath merged a sense, yes, but it was not sight. For a moment she heard the world in the strange clarity the dragon heard it in. Suddenly, it was ripped away. No, that's not right... It was harder than it seemed to separate a specific sense.
The second time, apparently, was the charm for Upasanath, because Sari was suddenly flooded with beautiful colors. This intense bond of sight lasted only a moment, though. No! Why can't I do it! The determined green was frustrated. Why couldn't she do this right for hers? With careful control and willpower, Upasanath shared her vision once more. This time it stayed, a stronger, more solid connection. Good job, Upasanath! Upasanath rumbled happilly. Hers was proud!
Sari used Upasanath's vision to take the first step. She misjudged the distance, taking too wide a step for her legs. Pausing, she tried to take a proper step this time. However, she was too focused on the step size. She tripped over her own two feet, which was a rarity for the runner. Her face burned in embarrassment. They weren't doing very well!

Balath’s head swung this way and that, trying to take in everything in the room, and everything her siblings were doing, and what Sel’n was saying all at once, her attention shifting moment by moment. It was all so interesting! The striped green wriggled in place, trying very hard to keep still and quiet for the moment. It was really a lot harder than it looked when she wanted to rush off and compliment Pravinth on his lovely adornment, and tell Kamath how shiny he looked (he did look very shiny indeed), and compliment Madhavath’s singing too (her lovely brotherlady’s singing had much improved according to K’fuzzi)
Balath’s shifting attention was making it quite hard for K‘fuzzi to pay attention; fortunately he was catching enough of what Sel’n was talking about to know what was happening, and possibly even quote the last sentence with a reasonable degree of accuracy, or a recent sentence anyway.. They were supposed to wander around blindfolded? He didn’t recall anyone doing that at Fort, although he was prepared to admit their weyrling lesson were probably much different, but this really had to be someone’s idea of a joke. He concluded as he avoided the first weyrlings to get their blindfolds on the way to collect his own that it probably was. This had to be the kind of thing the weyrlingmasters laughed themselves sick at after lessons.
K’fuzzi moved himself out of the way once he had his blindfold, and after a moment of watching some of his fellow weyrlings make what looked like painful blunders due to their dragons looking at them he decide to have Balath stand facing the doorway and stood next to her with his hip pressed against her foreleg, getting his eyes as close to her eyes as he possibly could. That had to be easier than trying to move himself around with something like a dragon’s eye reflection to guide him, right?
Wrong as it happened, with his blindfold on K’fuzzi could see nothing through the tightly woven material except a little light, and that so diffuse that it was no guide at all. Balath? I think I’m supposed to be seeing what you are…
The green whined and looked around the room. Oh Fuzzimine I am really trying. The dragon cried, distressed by her apparent failure. Everyone else was managing, some of them were already out the door! She was never going to catch up, oh how horrible!
K’fuzzi put a hand on his dragon’s shoulder, that, at least, did not require vision. I think you’re trying a bit too hard Bala, I keep seeing flashes of things but they’re all going past me. Try just looking at the doorway and I’ll look at it too. If we should be seeing more or less the same thing it might work better. If it doesn’t I’ll just have to keep leaning on you and we’ll move slowly. K’fuzzi kept his thought-voice level, just as he would if it was his true voice he used, tone was important with Balath, like a child, the green was very sensitive to disapproval from the people she loved. All it took was a mild scolding and she’d be off to sulk in the corner until she forgot about it.
Got it! K’fuzzi mentally clung to the image of the doorway that passed him by, allowing his awareness to sort of sink into it, it was slightly disorientating as the vision appeared off centre to him, as well as covering a lot more of the room than a human could see, the worst thing however was the lack of green hide which his mind was sure should be there. Let’s try a few steps. Slowly please, I don’t want to go falling ass over- um, base over apex. K’fuzzi quickly substituted the phrase he was going to use for a more polite one and did his best to keep in step with his dragon, moving his right leg in time with her left foreleg as much as possible. He clipped his elbow on the doorframe as he tried to pass through at the exact same time as Balath, but other than that small mishap and a few stumbles K’fuzzi was able to use Balath’s vision, and her movements, as a guide to what was around him, provided she didn’t look at him. Apparently his mind wasn’t ready to see himself through different eyes.
