((This is the best I could do in short time:( Everybody is welcome to participate, even if they don’t want their dragons to get Hertith. If you don’t want to catch Hertith then just say so when you post, have a good flight! P.S, I haven’t decided who gets Hertith.))
Hertith woke up just when the sun was highest on the skies. Her eyes flashed purple as she flew to the feeding grounds, the mating lust and hunger driving her. With a roar, Hertith chose a victim and slashed with her sharp teeth at an un-suspecting herd beast.
Rell too had been napping, the greenrider woke up with a start when she felt Hertith’s lustful thoughts and hunger reach through to her and trying to engulf her with the same desire. This was not Rell’s first flight so the rider knew what to do; she linked her mind with Hertith who was now mad with mating lust. Blood only Hertith! Rell told her dragon calmly but firmly. The dragon halted, unsure what to do but then continued to try to eat the heard beast. But Rell would have none of that, her usual calm and cheerful manner evaporating, the greenrider suddenly turned to a stubborn and dominant person. NO! Blood only Hertith! You MUST blood only!Rell mind screamed at Hertith.
The green dragon struggled a little but then started to blood many herd beasts, her eyes a bright purple all the time. Finally Hertith had had enough and the green dragon rose up in the skies, bugling defiance to the male dragons in the Weyr. Hertith’s flight had begun.

Cyanth had woken from his nap upon his sunning ledge to hear Hertith roar. The large Bronze stood, his eyes whirling a light shade of lavender. A Green Rises today, Mine. The male's mind-voice was gleeful as the Bronze beast leaped into the air. He would hunt well for this Green Beauty he so admired.
Meanwhile, P'nor had been caught eating in the Kitchens when the roar of a Rising Green shook him. The Bronzerider left his plate of food and began walking quickly to where his dragon watched the Green Hertith. [Cyanth, she is only a Green. Remember that Queens are the only worth your strength.] P'nor reminded his Bronze fellow of his ambitions. I use my strength for any Flight I choose. Cyanth responded curtly. I choose to Fly Lady Hertith and not a Queen right now.
Cyanth watched as the Green leaped into the air, challenging any who came after her. The Bronze replied to her, crooning with lust. Dear Hertith, you are the most beautiful Green of the Weyr. As beautiful as a might Queen. None can match your radiance. Cyanth continued his serenade as his eyes whirled a darkening lavender color.

F'lan perched on a branch, staring around him. The day was quiet. Quiet and warm. Wrenth's mind-presence was also quiet as the blue slumbered. It was all right to allow him to be lazy sometimes, F'lan decided. They'd worn each other out the day before.
A great bugle pierced the silence, the suddenness of the sound throwing the bluerider off. He jerked. Then F'lan lost his balance, sliding off the branch, one hand snaking up to snare the wood as he used the momentum of the fall to swing him clear of the tree, the wiry man landing in a crouch, eyes wide with the surge of adrenaline. Then Wrenth's mind exploded into his, the blue coming completely awake. Hunger and lust saturated F'lan. He swayed, shooting a quelling glance at his dragon. Wrenth affected not to notice.
The dark-hued blue sent up his own call to meet Hertith's challenge. Wrenth! A flurry of wingstrokes, and the dragon landed near his rider, the muscles beneath his hide taught with desire. Hertith rises. An image of Rell flashed in F'lan's mind's eye, but he ignored it. The point being? Wrenth turned his purple eyes on his rider. I intend to catch her.
Wrenth! But the blue had already unfurled his wings, the air cracking with the first wingstroke as he shot up into the air, a dragon of a blue so dark that he seemed a black streak as he angled after the green. He thought that the great bronze who watched from below had best get a move on if he planned to get to Hertith before Wrenth. He snaked through the air, ignoring his Mine.

Hertith looked behind her to see a bronze dragon watching her flight. The green slowed slightly, thinking about if Cyanth was acceptable. But the green picked up speed again; if that bronze wanted to catch her, he’d better earn it! Listening to his words of admirations, Hertith got angry at the bronze, did he think that he could catch her with flattery?
Hertith saw a streak of blue, and noted with appreciation that a blue had joined her flight. She noted with an interest that the blue was a friend of hers, Wrenth. He was truly beautiful, Hertith had to admit, but the rules were no different for him from the bronze, he would have to work to get this particular green! Hertith faltered slightly, she had been flying so hard that she was slightly tired; greens were not know for their endurance. But the green quickly shook it off and continued to fly, ignoring the fact that she would probably grow tired before Cyanth and Wrenth.
Rell, now completely one with Hertith saw that a bronze dragon was thinking about joining the flight, her mind noted with passing that the rider was P’nor, a rider she didn’t know that well but from her limited knowledge of P’nor she thought that he was nice, whether he was nice or not, Rell had no idea. When Wrenth joined the flight, Rell almost lost contact with Hertith, so the blue had decided to go against F’lan’s wishes?! Rell remembered that F’lan wasn’t overly fond of flights so this should be interesting!

Cyanth turned quiet, his eyes whirling many shades of the gentle color lavender. He could feel displeasure radiating off of Hertith as she listened to his calls. That unnerved the Bronze for what he said was true. Hertith was a beautiful Green that caught the Bronze's attention. Greens were more worthy to Fly then Queens to the Bronze Cyanth. When Golds Rose, they acted kind of snotty towards the Bronzes and occasional Browns that tried to Fly them.
Cyanth gave a mighty sweep of his wings, pushing himself closer to Hertith. He would not crowd the dragon, unless she wanted him near. Dear, Hertith. What I say is true. You are a dazzling gem in the sky. You are the only one that truly catches my attention in any way, Hertith. The large metallic crooned to the Green he followed. Cyanth would catch this Green with every ounce of strength he had.
P'nor searched for Hertith’s rider, his eyes scanning for the lovely lady. The woman Relliga was attractive in P’nor’s eyes just as Hertith was to Cyanth. The Bronzerider spotted the rider of Hertith and made his way to her. He stopped a few paces away, face tense as he awaited Hertith’s choice of the males. It would be soon for Greens could not fly that long with a dragon tuned for endurance and strength at their heels. [Fly fast, Cyanth. Catch this fair prize my dragon.] P’nor encouraged his mighty friend to hurry for the Green was surely growing tired. I am trying my best, Mine.

A Green, a Blue and a Bronze... what was left in color but a brown?
Unfurling his wings with passion and lust tugging at his heart, the gentle Styth looked to his rider with swirling purple eyes. Getting to his feet, the dark chocolate Brown let out his own tentative respond to the Green before turning to his Mine.
/F'rahmine. Hertith rises.../
As if the overwhelming feeling that took hold of his body wasn't enough to tell him what was different about his dragon, F'rah listened to the words that formed in his mind. Standing up from his seat on the grassy ground, closed his eyes and gave a little shake of his head.
/You needn't tell me... I know what you feel. Go. I Will make my way over to the others who are participating./
Covering his face as the blast of air from the eager flapping wings, F'rah watched his dragon speed his way over to the small specks of which had to be the flight in progress. Quickly picking his way toward the area where the riders would be standing, the Honey Brown haired Weyrlingmaster quietly took his spot as he became more and more in tune with his Lust filled dragon.
--
Joyous that his Mine had fully understood the gravity of the situation, Styth continued on his course toward Hertith and the two males who had started up the chase after her. Her hide entranced him, even at this far of a distance, once more the mating lust surged through him. The sun beat down upon the dark brown of his hide, while the light speckles that spattered across his flanks did nothing to cool him down. Massive wings beat against the air as fast and steady as they could go, neither the sun nor the heat was paid any attention, for the Weyrlingmaster's Brown only had eyes for the fleeting green.
Leveling out a few wing strokes away from the bronze, Styth began to creep downward before inching forward. Searching out the chance to make a move, the medium sized brown began to make a plan of attack.
----
Each time Styth's urges rolled through the Brown's body, it caused F'rah to step up another level to becoming one. It felt strange to want someone else in this way, and without knowing it, the Weyrlingmaster found himself looking at Rell from where he was standing. F'rah had met Rell and seen her before, but it seemed that her features had gotten prettier... rather more beautiful than they had been. Rell's black hair, her height, her face, all seemed to be extrodenary... the Weyrlingmaster tried to tare his eyes away from the woman, but he was unable to as another surge of passion emanated off of his brown.
(I felt like I needed to make up for not having this be my second post. :3 Its rather long...)

Wrenth was in it for the speed. His chances at catching the lovely green Hertith - a raging fire burned inside as he streaked after her lithe form - would diminish the longer they remained in the air. His endurance was better than the green's, but she was in Flight and stubborn, and he would soon lose the endurance battle with the two bigger males. There wasn't much to his method. He simply was going to keep pushing forward at this breakneck pace, driving Hertith onward, and try to get her moving around enough that it would be harder for the less manueverable males to catch her.
F'lan glowered into the air after his dragon, first at the fact that Wrenth had quite deliberately ignored his protests, but mostly because the lust was tugging at him, too, and he hated losing control. The bluerider quite deliberately did not look in Relliga's direction. That would surely undo him. Worst of all, he actually liked the greenrider, which was a very odd thing for him to admit. He almost hated himself for betraying his twin like that. Yes, it didn't make sense, but that didn't seem to matter. Relliga had stood on the sands with him, spent her weyrling turns with him...and she was one of the few who braved his almost constant dark moods to try to connect with him. Last time they'd talked, he'd actually smiled. F'lan exhaled through his nose. No, he did not want this. A Flight mating was not his idea of romance - not that he'd decided to pursue Relliga. He just would rather leave that option open, instead of dirtying it up before it even got started.
Wrenth had closed the distance between them, mostly due to Hertith's lagging. Come, beauty. Dance with me, he crooned, almost gently. The intensity in his mind-voice infused the request. The blue darted closer, then angled up with a few great sweeps of his wings, before diving toward her. He strived for her. Reached for her. But, more importantly, Wrenth wanted to make sure that, in order to evade him, that highly serpentine body of hers that he so desperately wanted would be twisting and turning, banking away far quicker than the other males could hope to match. It truly would be a dance. Now, all he had to do was anticipate...and catch her in one of those evasions. Easier said than done. She was fast, and he was wearing himself out. Besides, it was wearing Hertith out, too, and that would make it easier for the others should Wrenth fail.
You cannot fail, Wrenth. Catch her. If you pursue her, you must at least do that. The blue felt a surge of happiness rush through him at his Mine's support, grudging though it was. Their creedo had always been to do the best they could and get better every time. The gem will be ours. With a renewed burst of vigor, Wrenth banked about, coming back for another sweep as he continued his dance with Hertith. Dance with me, my gem.
F'lan, finally allowing himself to be sweeped up in the moment, found his gaze wandering over to Relliga. And that - as they say - was that. If he was attracted to her on a normal day, the dragonlust raging in his blood made it nearly impossible to take his eyes off of her. She was of a height with him, tall and willowy, radiant, the sheet of ebon playing about features that had become dear to him over the turns. Relliga was friend, clutchmate...He swallowed back the emotion, knuckles gone white as his hands clenched into fists. If anything, the bluerider's face was more forbidding than ever, with the intense blues nearly black as the emotions swept him, face stark and taught. So much energy flooded through his unmoving body that it seemed he might explode on the spot.

((I decided that it would be best if I didn't drag it out, so I'm going to finish in two short posts, well the second post will at least be short, the second being when Hertith is catched:) ))
Grudgingly, Hertith had to admit that Cyanth's flattery was affecting her, but the green was stubborn and she remained adamant on that whoever catched her, should work. She saw the bronze get nearer to her, Hertith felt that that was good, they wouldn't catch her if they were a long distance away! Cyanth, you will never catch me if you don't come closer, Hertith told the bronze wryly, but didn't slow down.
Hertith almost let Cyanth catch her when she discovered that yet another dragon had entered her flight. The more the better. Hertith thought to no one in particular and picked up speed again, trying to think of something else than her growing tiredness. The brown dragon was Styth, a truly handsome dragon, Hertith noted with appreciation, forgetting that she had said the exactly same thing about the other two. The brown dragon slightly unnerved her, Hertith saw that Styth was waiting, waiting for the perfect opportunity, the time when Hertith tired or lost her guard. And then the brown dragon would maybe catch her! And no dragon was so good that he was allowed to catch her, at least not yet.
Hertith saw to her appreciation that Wrenth had decided to play with his flexibility, a game that Hertith starred at. Ha! Did he think that he was better at this game than her? Hertith would show him! So Hertith began to twist and turn, like Wrenth, not knowing that this was Wrenth's plan to catch her. She didn't think that Wrenth actually wanted her to twist and turn. I can play this game too, Hertith told Wrenth and took an down-wards dive and back up again. You will never catch me Wrenth, Hertith continued, sure of her own abilities to evade all the dragons. Her constantly growing tiredness however being a fault. Hertith's wings now were weak and she wanted to just to get this over with but she couldn't! They weren't allowed to win!
Rell saw that all the riders were looking at her, P'nor, F'rah and F'lan. She in turn looked them over too, starting with P'nor. Rell was filled with lust as she watched P'nor, that was someone she wanted! No other would do! Rell was about to tell Hertith to let Cyanth catch her, when her eyes drifted accidentally to F'rah. P'nor was now forgotten, F'rah was the one that mattered. The calm, handsome Weyrlingmaster filled Rell with lust, but now she remembered that before she told Hertith to let Styth catch her, she should at least look at F'lan, if only for a moment. But F'lan was the same as the other two, Rell wanted him! F'lan had always been a good friend to her, even though he was sometimes moody, well always, but that didn't matter to Rell, F'lan was rarely mean to her. He was her clutch-mate, newly back, and Rell thought now that F'lan was the one that should win, regardless to his apparent dislike of flights.
Now Rell was confused, she wanted all of the males to win, but only one would! Becoming one with Hertith once again, Rell decided to agree with Hertith, the one who was good enough at flights to catch Hertith would win, it was as simple as that!

Cyanth crooned to the Green, his ighty wings pully him closer. He was meant to Fly the Golden Queens, and so he was blessed with endurance and strength. Don't worry, Precious Green. I will Fly you. The Bronze pumped his wings harder closing in on the dancing Green. The way she twisted and turned was intoxicating to the metallic beats.
Cyanth growled at the other males, trying to ward them off. Hertith was his prize and he would catch her. The Bronze moved directly behind the Green, his eyes a dark lavender. He was determined to win this dragoness, to claim her as his own. Hertith was a special Green. She was one to keep a Bronze moving.
P'nor gazed at Rell, his eyes unmoving from her face. No matter what he did, it would not affect th Flight. This woman seemed alive with spirit. Her ebony hair rippled down her back. P'nor resisted the urge to reach out and cup her cheek. The light illuminated Relliga's features, making her dazzle like a star.

Taking the growl from the Bronze with a gentle regard, Styth continued his course until he was flying a few wing beat directly under the enticing green. Not only was her hide beautiful her smell was too... rather everything about her. Her longer body and tail, her wondrous large eyes, even her legs... all seemed to make Hertith even more beautiful in his mind's eye.
Pumping his wings slightly as he noticed the bronze closing in on the gap between Hertith, Styth let his mind wonder up to the Green.
/You might have heard this praise by the others Miss Hertith, but you are very beautiful. From your lithe wings to your dazzling tail... and your kindness. Not only physical attributes can be beautiful.../
Pumping his wings a bit more so that he sped ahead, though his altitude stayed the same, Styth was still one or two wing beats under Hertith but was ahead of her by a nose tip.
-----
Now almost completely one with his dragon, F'rah forced himself into a one knee kneel. His feelings had never been aroused in such a drastic way before, his need... no his want for Rell was almost overpowering. It felt like he needed to praise her, to run his fingers through her hair, to protect her and to kiss her.
Standing once again, F'rah glanced over to Rell in all her shinning glory, and noticed her looking at P'nor. Determination flooded through him as his Brown continued to fly high above them, and looking away slightly, the Weyrlingmaster saw out of the corner of his eye Rell looking at him and then the blue rider.
Not all is lost! She hadn't chosen P'nor...
Silently, F'rah rooted on his brown with all his passion while his confused mind tossed and churned over his feelings for the woman he felt a need for.

((Wow, I was faced with a tough decision even if this flight isn't going to determine ranks or eggs, I'm just not good at choosing things;) God forbid that I have to have a gold fly! So yea, I had my mind on one particular dragon when the flight started but... Then I wanted the others to catch Hertith too! Gah! So, I just decided to stick with my original choice: Oh end I apologize if the post is rather short.)) Hertith crooned at Cyanth, it sat well with her that Cyanth was pursuing her fiercely. Maybe you will, Cyanth! Hertith mind shouted at Cyanth, all control gone in the excitement of flight. Gleefully, Hertith took an abrupt right turn and saw Styth below her, showering her with praises. Not as picky as in the beginning of the flight when Hertith had been angry at Cyanth for trying to catch her with flattery, Hertith swooned with pleasure at Styth's praises. You are beautiful too, Hertith cried at Styth. And on the inside too!. Hertith was thinking too much of the larger dragons praises that she let down her guard, the green was looking at Styth lovingly when she discovered that she was exactly open for Wrenth catching her, the green had forgotten about Wrenth for a while, forgetting that he was in the chase, forgetting that he was close to her. Oh, the green's surprised voice said to no one in particular when she was trapped so that she couldn't escape from Wrenth, but then her voice rang gleefully in Wrenth's mind. You are mine Wrenth! You are the most beautiful blue that ever existed!Rell was now on her knees, sweat trickling down her forehead, the greenrider gasped for breath as Hertith's flight got harder, Hertith's tiredness transfered over to Rell. Suddenly though, Herith's voice rang in Rell's mind. Oh. Rell looked at F'lan, the flight objector, her mouth forming a circle, Rell too said 'oh' weakly. ((Sigh, cheesy posts, you gotta love them... So, I think a black-out would be good, that was my decision before everyone started talking about it on the Cbox So you can just reply, I probably wont post again here:) ))

F'lan was slowly making his way toward her during the course of the Flight, as Wrenth weaved, banked, and dived, trying to keep his prize from the larger dragons. He was well-trained, this blue, and had a great amount of stamina for so small a dragon, even if he couldn't match that of Cyanth and Styth. In the end, though, what decided it was the fact that he was forgotten. Had he any personality other than Wrenth's, the blue might have been upset, but in this instance victory was simply victory.
Hertith looked to the other two dragons, lagging, the weariness slowing her down and making her more receptive to her male suitors. A wave of contentment settled over him as he realized that his competition had managed to corral Hertith neatly for him. With a flick of his tail and a dip of the wing, the blue dove the short distance, coming out of a roll and reaching for his clutchmate, the momentum carried over from the dive carrying him fast past the bronze and brown, who probably hadn't yet realized that they'd lost.
I fly for you, wondrous Hertith. Only you. Below, F'lan, gleaming with sweat and breathing harder than normal, bent and lifted Rell gently in his arms.
((That be it for F'lan and Wrenth!))
