Lura kicked a stone into the river, her temper obviously worsening with each passing day. In fact, it got to a point where she had Shmee babysit Liralla more often just so Liralla wouldn't risk being around a temper burnout. Things tended to get bad whenever Anemith was proddy, but this was the worst she'd ever been. It was probably because she was still sore about Corth. In fact, now that Lura thought about it, Anemith had tried flirting with every male in the Weyr since that Flight-- except Salenth. Even Anemith didn't dare. Yet she believed that most of the males had had their own share of Anemith over the past few months. Lura didn't think much of the reputation it was getting her. To her, it made her feel like she was the one flirting around with everyone. This was certainly not something that she, as a woman who had slept with so many people that she didn't know who fathered her child, wanted for herself. So she probably couldn't be blamed for her anger, but it was magnified greatly by the effect of this Flight.
Then, before it happened, Lura knew. She stopped herself from kicking one last stone, staring dumbly into the river. It was time. Backing up slowly, she bolted to the Flight rooms even as Anemith's multi-faceted eyes opened from her nap. The red orbs looked around, observing her surroundings, set against the bright, glowing hide. She knew. She needed to Fly! Hissing, she reared back. Then, suddenly, she let out a fierce bugle, challenging the males to Flight. With that, she pushed herself from her weyrledge, bugling out to the males she had flirted with over the past months. Surely they still wanted her! Who could resist her? She was a glowing, radiant vixen, rival to the queens themselves! More importantly, this would be a chance to show that stupid Corth who was boss. She, Anemith, was the boss! Let him Chase other stupid greens. She was ten times the dragon he was!
Being one of the few greens that bothers to blood kills, she descended on the hearbeasts with a vengeance. However, Lura didn't stop her from eating; she, in fact, wanted this Flight over as soon as she could. Letting Anemith gorge on the first beast, then second, the green was full of the hot food by the time she trumpeted one last time. With that, she pushed herself into the air, trying to ignore how heavy her body was. Perhaps eating the beasts wasn't a good idea, but no matter. She was going to Fly, and make Corth so jealous! From the Flight rooms, Lura was already fighting the feeling. She couldn't do this. She couldn't go throw the Benden experience all over again! I'ir was the only one she wanted to Fly with. Why oh why couldn't Anemith recognize this!?
