Nothing had been out of the ordinary earlier today, and while Toryth was getting brighter and a little more proddy every day, Ciara believed that her Green would Rise in a few days or more. Of course, the young woman was not completely familiar with the signs of a mating Flight. As she tucked in her foster-son, Tobby, the rider felt a small spark of lust in the back of her mind. She brushed it aside nonchalantly and continued to prepare for bed. After making sure Tobby was settled in for the night, Ciara slipped into her bathing room for a nice soak. Her eyes closed as she enjoyed the time of relaxation. Her foster-child, Tobby, often kept her busy along with the shenanigans of both Eryn and Chatti. It was times like these that the Greenrider enjoyed the most. The quiet allowed her to relax and forget about her troubles for awhile such as finding someone to watch after Tobby when Toryth finally Rose. It would be best that the weyrbrat did not witness anything that was part of a mating Flight. Ciara was sure that it would be weird trying to explain any sudden behavioral changes to a small child. Also, how would she deal with the reactions of her Green pets? Toryth, do you have any ideas on how to deal with Eryn and Chatti when you Rise again? Ciara’s eyes opened when her Green did not immediately respond in her happy-go-lucky attitude. Toryth? What was wrong with the Green? Ciara knew she was awake because Toryth had mentioned that she wanted to stay up and watch the stars for a bit.
As she slipped out of the personal bathing pool, the Greenrider pulled a towel around her body and hurried to check on her life-mate. What she saw was unnerving at the least. Toryth was staring unresponsively up at the stars, and her eyes possessed that far-away look that some wore when thinking about something very important. Toryth? Ciara queried nervously as she approached the green. Do not be afraid. Toryth replied quietly as she heaved herself to her feet and launched herself into the air. TORYTH!!! Ciara cried out mentally as she clutched her towel closer to her body. Toryth couldn’t be Rising. Not yet, not now, and not at night, but despite her incredulity, the Greenrider could feel the lust flowing through her veins. Without a second thought, the young woman was racing off towards the Flightrooms in nothing but a damp towel. Her mind frantically sent images of the sleeping Tobby to Eryn and Chatti with the enforcing command to stay there. For a moment, she was aware of the presence of the two Greens before they betweened, hopefully to keep watch over Tobby. As she entered the Flightrooms, Ciara unconsciously placed herself in the center of the room while facing the doorway and the woman did not resist the pull of the Flight as she had. Instead, the Greenrider surrendered her mind to the lust and emotion of Toryth’s Flight.
Meanwhile, Toryth emitted a loud scream of challenge to the males of the Weyr. No longer was she the sweet and happy-go-lucky Green, but a force to be reckoned with. Her body craved the touch of a male, the comfort and support of a mate. Before, she had Chosen Brown Hiriarth, but he had become disloyal and had Chased another female. She would not make such a mistake again! Her male would be the best of the best! Such thoughts raced through the Green’s mind as she hovered impatiently over the Weyr. Why didn’t they come? Wasn’t she good enough for all the males of Selenitas? Did they not come because she was only a green? Toryth hissed viciously at the thought. She was as worthy as the Gold Queen Aslath! With another challenging cry, the Green darted away. She knew instinctively that the males would follow, and they would Chase her among the light of the heavens. Her eyes turned towards the stars that glowed brightly in the dark sky, and Toryth crooned happily. Although it was dark, she still managed to avoid any collisions for the light of the stars seemed bright to her, illuminating the landscape around her.

You need to relax, Adith informed Uu'n as the bluerider practiced his knife-fighting against a furious wild feline. The blue watched dispassionately, knowing that His had the situation entirely under control and wis in little danger. Uu'n leapt to the side as the wildcat swiped with razor claws, slashing backhandedly as he whirled, freshly cropped hair not getting in his way at all.
I need no such thing, Uu'n retorted, darting to the side as the feline attacked, whirling and scoring a mark on the feline's footpad. The wind animal yowled and hissed, limping and circling, looking for an opening on the creature that had seemed such easy prey such a short time ago. I could use a little help, though. Adith snorted.
You don't, but as you wish, the dragon laughed, darting forward into the clearing and snapping at the feline, catching it by surprise and breaking its back. Let's go back to the Weyr to skin it? the dragon suggested. Uu'n gave him a suspicious look but shrugged assent, wiping his knives clean before sheathing them once again. The bluerider grabbed the dead feline and hauled its dead weight up, tossing it across Adith's shoulder and securing the corpse with the few straps he still used. Then, balancing carefully on all fours, Uu'n gave the dragon the command to leap.
Adith's powerful frame launched into the skies, blinking into life again over the Weyr. He dove past Toryth's weyrledge as the green contemplated the sky, her gleam star-glinting. Uu'n hopped down onto the ground and loosened the straps, pulling the dead feline off with the full intention of skinning it and then feeding the rest to Adith and Dael. I wouldn't do that, Adith warned, before rearing up onto his hind legs and howling his cry of challenge back at the green form of Toryth.
What? No! Uu'n cried mentally, feeling the power of lust stream through his body, with all the force of Dael's Runs... and more.
I'm afraid so, Adith said, voice halfway between grim and lustful. You need to relax. I am going to force you to. The blue dragon launched himself off of the ground, leaving Uu'n swaying against the full force of the dragon's lust and mental force. The need to relax, to enjoy himself, to win and to have sex, to just release all the pent up emotion within him in one night of wild energy. With no other choice, Uu'n released himself to emotion, running with all of his trained speed and precision across the rough ground towards where he could see, could sense the green upon which his desires had been focused.
Panting from the heat and strength of his emotion, he stopped in the doorway to the Flight Weyr, growling softly. He wanted, desperately, and she was here for him, to feed that want and fuel that want. To release that want.
"Mine," he purred at Ciara. "Mine."

Night was the peaceful time, the quiet time. The time of relaxation, and Darya was certainly doing her best to relax. In her own way. Some things were right, the glass of white wine, the casual lack of most of her clothing, and even the quiescent salamandyr perched on her shoulder drowsing peacefully hinted at relaxation, or a determined effort at it. What was wrong was the hunched posture, the hard chair, and the copied record, written in Darya’s own crabbed scrawl. Darya actually found a night pouring over ancient history relaxing.
Azrath was not relaxing. The blue was tense, expectant, and a little puzzled, but Darya, absorbed as she was the mysteries of another time, failed to notice this. The dark hued dragon had noticed Toryth’s unusual behaviour, even at a distance. Spotted the faint gleam of starlight on her hide. The blue didn’t know if Toryth would actually Fly at night but he going Chase regardless. This time he would win.
Darya noted the stirrings of lust and dismissed them as her own frustrations, Imp was dozing on her shoulder and Azrath was…expectant? Darya raised her head, suddenly. Illogically suspicious about her blue. She knew this feeling too well. Azrath, what’s going.., Darya didn’t get a chance to finish her question as the distinctive challenge of a green dragon resounded and Azrath swept up his rider’s protesting consciousness as he sprung from his ledge. This time Toryth would be his. As the blue dragon bellowed his reply Darya rose from her hunched pose and stretched before leaving, in her underwear.

Enouth was waiting. He wasn't sure what for- He and His had still only been around for a few months, and since His was so infernally shy around new people, the Blue was never sure what exactly was going on. But it felt like a Flight, and there had been a Green that had been shining lately... maybe that was it. Granted, Enouth had become similarly excited about the recent Firelizard clutch hatching, and the ones that this Weyr called Salamandyrs... so it was always possible that the blue was wrong, and was staying up late for nothing.
His rider was having no such problems. C'le was asleep, comfortable in a loose, short-sleeved shirt and short pants. Unlike many other Weyrfolk, he didn't like sleeping naked, or even shirtless. Even in his own bed he was self-concious about his scars, mostly remenants of abusive step-fathers, although some came from Weyrling Training and Thread. Comfortable, though, was the right word for his position. One arm was flung up above his head, the other out to one side, over the edge of his bed. He was sleeping diagonally, too, like a little child trying to take up as much bed as possible. Slack-jawed and snoring slightly, the Bluerider was totally oblivious when the Green dropped past Enouth's ledge.
The dragon wasn't oblivious, though. Finally, Enouth commented privately to his rider, making C'le sit up as fast as he would after a nightmare.
Finally WHAT? C'le shouted, watching his emaciated dragon drop out of sight without so much as a good bye. Enouth didn't see fit to explain, so C'le got up and headed for the ledge. There was really no point, though- as soon as the Bluerider's feet hit the floor, lust hit him like a fist to the stomach. He groaned aloud, half from desire, half from frusturation- NOW he knew what had been up with Enouth lately, and he was so hermitous lately that he hadn't paid enough attention to even see if the Green in question's rider was male or female. With his luck lately it would be a woman...
Only seconds later, C'le found himself entering the flight room, feeling the familiar pit in his stomach that always came with unknown lust vanish at the sight of Her- no matter who he or she was. This time, because Enouth knew it was Toryth, C'le-Enouth knew that it was Woman-Toryth- but that was about it. But nothing mattered at all besides her beauty, of which she had plenty. Already, Enouth had been totally seduced by Toryth's form in the starlight, and C'le was powerless to resist. The Blue trailed the Green for now, staying far from the other prusuers and their deadly downstrokes, ignoring the slight strain on his flank where another Green had left marks. C'le, too, stayed away from the other contestants- he shuffled to the far corner of woman-Toryth's vision as soon as he could, avoiding the other males' personal space.

Snapping his wings open with a familiar 'swisk', Jackreth turned his head toward the North, it was there that a vivid green glow split the night like a lantern. Slowly getting to his feet, like a well pampered Feline, the Blue sought out his Bonded with his mind. /Mine. I have staved off the need for long enough. I cannot help it any longer./ Go, go. I knew it had to happen sometime. Launching himself off of the ledge, Jackreth sent out a roar, accepting the beautiful Green's challenge. Although all the light had faded from the sky and night had taken over, this was a time he was used to, Fort had often launched attacks under the cover of night and because of his almost night colored skin, the Blue blended into the night like a wraith. Pumping his wings silently, Jackreth sent his mind out to touch the Green's, another call echoing both vocally and mentally. She was young, rather young in fact, but that wouldn't stop the seasoned Blue from chasing the Green who was a Queen in her own rights. Streaking forward, the male wove his neck through the sky, looking more like a sleek sea serpent than a daylight dragon.
Slipping the towel he had brought with him around his shoulders, F'con thumped his partner on the back and excused himself from the workout. Rocking backward slightly, the Bluerider took off at a steady lope, fortunately for him he wasn't to far away from the building that housed the Flightrooms. His shirt and pack lay forgotten next to a fellow Bluerider's belongings, she'd bring it to his room later or the next, if he wasn't wrapped up in something that is. He hoped that Saraina's Hokth had explained to her his sudden exeunt from the training group... his warm breath collided with the cool night, creating small puffs of steam to appear before his well trimmed body, one that was increasingly becoming one with the dragon above him. Winding his way through the almost empty hallways, F'con smirked slightly as he passed a particular drudge he had entertained only a few nights before, her beauty doubling three fold. The corner of the hallway drew closer, and when he rounded it, the ex-Fort rider found himself staring at the entrance to the room that had called for him. With both ends of the towel in his hands, F'con strode into the room with a snake like grace, eying the female who stood in the center happily. She was young, but she was pretty. Slinking to a place where his view of the Green was unobstructed, Jackreth/F'con crooned in greeting. She certainly was an amazing creature, her presence overrode the other's that had gathered to gawk at her beauty.

Kindrith was sound asleep in his new weyr, exhausted from the trip completed only just that day. And the sleep was well enjoyed, the blue dreaming happily away about greens and golds - of all things - while his head was pillowed comfortably on his own flank. Which he happened to think was her flank. But that was irrelevant. He was happy, and sleeping.
Not terribly far away, his was still unpacking the few carefully packed bags that they had brought with them. A few things here, a few things there... One of the bags was well padded with shirts and things of that sort, hiding and protecting what was really riding in that bag ... a stringed hollow box instrument that would need retuning after that trip. E'yan lifted it out carefully, spilling clothes all over the cot as he tucked it under and arm. He experimentally ran a thumb over the strings ... and then winced at the oh-so-slightly out of tune thrum it gave back. But, truth be told, he had expected that. He set it aside with careful motions. It would bear waiting until the morrow before he would take the time to tune it back to it's lovely voice.
He was reaching for the next bag, when Kindrith's head snapped up out of his slumbers suddenly. E'yan paused, and looked at the dragon. "What is it?" he asked, curiously. The lust playing around in the back of his mind was no clue for E'yan ... that little aspect of his dragon was always there. The blue was starved perpetually for female attention.
Pushing up to his feet, Kindrith slinked out to the weyrledge, and looked up as he listened to her oh so beautiful voice, carried so clearly on the crisp night air. There were no other sounds in the night to muddy the sound at all, and he was enthralled in it. The emotional power in him was building steadily, and only after it reached a certain point did E'yan realize what Kindrith was about, though the dragon had not yet said a single word.
"At NIGHT?" He asked, flabbergasted. Dragons didn't fly at night! But, he turned and dashed out the door right then and there, while he still had his wits about him. Being constantly subjected to Kindrith's lustful nature, he was slightly more capable of keeping his wits about him for a tad longer than some. Kindrith was yet to take to the skies after her, but E'yan knew without a shadow of doubt that he would. The blue always did. No matter who she was. No matter what color she was. E'yan had gotten used to this over the years. Just as he knew that the blue was most unlikely to win. The blue had never won.
But that didn't stop Kindrith from ceaselessly trying. Leaping off the ledge with energy gleaned from his sheer need, and friskiness gained from his shortish nap, Kindrith took to the air in silence. He just listened to her voice, as he winged after her through the night. He took his time, knowing to bide his strength until it was closer to her time. But at the same time, he was totally enthralled by the beauty of her form gliding through the night sky.
E'yan made it to the general vicinity of the flightroom before he was taken over by the flood of desiring that poured through him from his bonded. He was lucky. Not having but just arrived at the weyr, he would not have found the room had he waited longer to leave his weyr. But now he was close enough, he could sense her, and he was drawn to her like a moth to the candle. He entered the room with the same patient determination that Kindrith was expressing in the sky. Oh, how beautiful she was! E'yan-Kindrith's gaze flickered over her graceful form, and did notice that she was wearing nothing but a damp towel. And it only served to make him hunger for her more. He never even acknowledged that there were other males there in the room already - he was all eyes for her and her alone.
In the sky, totally freed for the moment from any restraint that E'yan might have had on his notions, Kindrith eased in behind and below his beautiful Toryth, and began to sing to her. It was not loud, but it was enough for her to hear. It was a strange sound, coming from a dragon. But he sang his heart out to her. Detailing how lovely she was, and her special place in his heart for forevermore. Telling her how lovely every detail of her form was in his eyes. And the emotion bled over to E'yan-Kindrith. Already loving song, and then being swept away by his dragon's emotions - and love for song - he began a very low song to Ciara-Toryth. It, too, was almost inaudible. But it was there and undeniable. His rich voice reaching to her ears and speaking in wordless tones.
Eyan-Kindrith never even noticed how much younger she was than he. Nor would he care, so long as he was wrapped up in the mind of his dragon.

Toryth hovered impatiently for only a few more moments before she took off. Her Chasers would come. Instinct told her so, and how could any male resist her? Among all of the females, she was the best, the most beautiful. No male could resist her. As though to confirm her thoughts, five voices rose to answer her challenge, and Toryth responded with a surge of encouragement to all of her males, except one. With a teasing croon, the Green swerved to fly in the opposite direction of the five. As she passed the one she had ignored, the green reached out to strike his flank. Do not think flattery, no matter how nice, will win my heart, Blue Kindrith Toryth growled lightly in a mocking tone. Her words were broadcast to everyone in range in attempt to embarrass Kindrith for his useless flattery. Without checking to see if she had caught The Flatterer with her claws, the Green was soaring away. While her body also hungered for the touch of another, instinct also urged the female to fly as far as she could manage without collapsing. After a brief glance at her Chasers, the Green began a steep climb to the heavens. Her wings strained to keep up the pace, and in the back of her mind, the Green was aware that she did not have the stamina to up something like this. She growled with annoyance as the move began sapping her much need energy. To remedy the trouble, Toryth folded her wings and simply allowed herself to plummet towards the earth. After a few seconds of the free-falling, her multicolored wings snapped open and briefly held her motionless in the air.
Meanwhile, the earth-bound Ciara watched expectantly as her Chasers arrived. A teasing smile curved her lips as she heard Uu’n’s words. With the drop of the damp towel she had clutched to only moment ago, the Greenrider sashayed slowly towards him and reached out to trace his jaw-line. Her eyes glinted wickedly as she watched for his reaction and listened for any response from her other Blues. How she loved to play with their minds, teasing them and tricking them. Of course, while Ciara did play with her Chasers, she was also satisfying the hunger for flesh against flesh. Her body wanted to touch another, and in the process, the Greenrider got to play favorites just to urge her males to do their best to prove themselves. Turning away from Uu’n suddenly, she stepped lightly and swiftly towards a different male. F’con. While she crooned playfully to him, her fingers brushed against his chest. Despite her attention on F’con, the Green kept an ear out for the other males. Would they prove that they too deserved this attention or would the remaining three remain quiet?

Kindrith tucked his wings inward as Toryth slashed at him, his flank cringing and bunching as he fell through the air to get away from those talons. He did not dive - he fell. It was the only thing he could think to do to avoid those beautifully sharp claws.
He managed to avoid getting really badly raked by them, but he did get scratched pretty good. Thankfully, it was not enough to elicit any bleeding. And then she was gone again, in the other direction, speeding away.
Kindrith crooned, and snapped his wings open again, doubling back over his own tail. Tucking his wings back in again, he rolled over back upright before surging forward once more, chasing after her.
Her admonishment had done little to dampen his eager chasing. In all actuality, the raking had encouraged him. She had noticed him! She had paid him special attention! It never dawned on him that it was negative attention ... any attention at all from a female was positive attention, to Kindrith. And it really made him feel very good that she had noticed him enough to not only try to rake him, but she had spoken to him!
Okay, so she didn't like singing either. Hm. Maybe E'yan had a point about that... Ah, well. No singing, then. He chased her up into the sky, silent this time, determined to not fall out of the being noticed slot. The ascent sapped alot of his own energy as well, and he admired her for pulling such a stunt, not knowing just how tired it was making her, as well.
Just being tired was not going to put him off, however. He was determined to accomplish the most coveted end: making that shining gem his! That was HIS gem, and he was going to win her!
In the flightroom, E'yan/Kindrith watched with rapt attention as that towel found its way elsewhere, his gaze riveted on her shining beauty. After a moment, he managed to get unglued from the floor, and moved a few steps closer. He crooned in admiration of her, wishing that he could touch, but dared not. He knew just as well as the airborne Kindrith knew that touching was forbidden until invited. But that didn't keep him from wanting too.

Letting his membranes stretch and flex, Jackreth slipped into an air current, using it to preserve his strength. He was the third oldest in the flight, Azrath and Kindrith beat him one by three years and the other by more than half his age, though it didn't bother him much. What did amuse him, was the greeting that Blue had gotten, he must learn to realize most females wanted physical proof and not just petty words, no matter how prettily they were put into a sentence. Letting her encouragements seep into each corner of his mind, the large Blue crooned at the clever Green as she arched into the sky after assaulting Enouth, using her lithe form to make her moves perfect. Like a mirror, Jackreth switched the angles of his wings so that he left the air current and swung up into a rising thermal draft, pumping his wings to gain more speed.
This Green was young, but she was cunning, even when her mind was so far gone into flight lust. Not only that, but she was rather beautiful, she was one of those females that would only grow prettier through her years. Tucking one of his wings to the side, Jackreth preformed a roll as he surged upward after her, having only to spread his wings once more to retrieve his barrings. As the glowing Queen of the Night reached the zenith of her parabola, the Blue rose until she dove down, his head moving into the dive before his body did, making him look like a snake. Twisting with a playful snarl, Jackreth adjusted his body into an angled dive, following Toryth faithfully. She was his Queen for now, and he'd gladly vie for her attentions, so long as he remained in her favors. He resisted the urge to snap at a Blue who had gotten close to him, but he knew he shouldn't, he wanted to do nothing that might upset his standings in the Green's eyes. Tilting his body so he veered to the left as he dove, Jackreth tried to make sure the lovely knew he was there for her, right behind her as he should be. Not even sparing the old acquaintance a glance, for his eyes were only for Toryth, at least at the moment.
Licking a dry spot on his lips as Toryth's towel fluttered to the ground, his steely blue eyes traced her form, she was a dream... no. She was a goddess. He wanted her attention, he wanted her affections, hell, he even wanted to be the one she found amusement in. Glancing over at Adith as the Green slunk over to him, Jackreth/F'con narrowed his eyes slightly, running a hand through his pitch colored hair. The movement making his muscles shift under his bare skin, and although he was slightly tired, he shoved the feeling away as soon as the Goddess's eyes shifted upon him. Toryth was looking at him, no, no she was coming toward him! Dropping his arm back to his side, the Blue crooned as the Green danced up close, her fingers trailing across hi chest, inflaming his passion with her burning and forbidden touch. His arm involuntarily moved, wanting to touch the female before him, to hold her to him... but he refrained himself, stopping his fingers a couple of inches from her fair skin. Why must they wait through his unbearable teasing? Although the answer didn't come, Jackreth/F'con knew he had to impress her, impress her with his strength and cunning. He needed to convince her /he/ was the right choice.

((Kaegan- Kindrith got slashed, not Enouth. Just... so you know? ) Enouth was not pleased. This sort of flight was not his strong suit- Toryth's pure strength and speed he could match, but since she did not yet seem to be bringing her agility to bear, the Blue realized he had no chance. Flying straight like that, even up and down, meant that the Blue would not be able to get close enough to Catch her even if she chose him... unless he went above and beyond what his beyond-thin frame could usually handle. He would have to overcome the full blast of every wingstroke, which would quite literally blow him away. If only she began to roll and spin, tucking her wings to complete the manuevers, then he would have a chance. But so far... it seemed that he would have no luck. So he stayed far to her right and almost even with her nose, mimicing her every move and adding his own twists- the dive, for instance, was actually a head-over-tail tumble which he only pulled out of seconds before his wings snapped open almost in time with hers. The strain was incredible, but it was much, much easier when gravity was only pulling on about half the average weight for his species. Enouth performed a backflip in Toryth's peripheral vision, doing his best to demonstrate his extreme agility. If only she would notice him... too bad what she was most likely to notice was that he hadn't come within a dragonlength of her or any of the other chasers yet. C'le-Enouth, earthbound, was struggling similarly. How to make her see, even make her look, without coming off cocky or overbearing? The Bluerider knew better than to touch, and unfortunately he, too was in her peripheral vision (although it did offer a very lovely sideview now that the towel was gone, C'le-Enouth noticed with a bit of a grin). He could not perform any more acrobatic feats than he already was, in the air, so how could he get the vision before him to turn her full gaze on him? She started forward, and he drew in a little gasp of hope, feeling blood rise in his cheeks even during this heated ordeal- but no, it was not to him she went, but to others, trailing her fingers along the chest of one of them. Unable to keep it in his throat, C'le-Enouth growled quietly, maybe even quietly enough not to be heard. Shoving his red-brown bangs out of his face, ice-cold blue eyes flickered to the one who had her attention, radiating pure hate. Only a flicker, though- that was all he would spare. No one else in this room, this sky, mattered; only her.

Ciara's touch on his jaw made Uu'n thrum a growl, at once a challenge and a purr of pleasure. He leaned slightly into her touch, but not enough to be caught off-balance when Ciara leapt away again. The lean bluerider, completely in his element of the dark, seeing all where many were blind, sidestepped as Ciara made for F'con, putting himself where she had been, a mirroring motion without being precisely... a follower. Uu'n-Adith would never tamely follow any creature, certainly not.
Adith followed Toryth on silver wings, his wingbeats lacking any rush or hurry. The blue was a skilled flier, trained and drilled constantly to be music in the air, without any wasted effort in any battle. No, Adith was not trained for Threadfall, he was trained for war. As the pursuers mainly fought up after her, Adith side-slipped left, winging up in a more-vertical line, then tumbling wing-over-tailtip in a backwards maneuver which looked remarkably like a lifeless fall, before twisting out of the movement and into a dive, shallower than the rest due to his near-vertical climb.
But then! Another blue, a dark one, veered thoughtlessly into his path, thinking, no doubt, of impressing the lovely green Adith sought. Unthinkingly, blindly, trained for this since he could take wing, Adith flared membranes wide and powered sideways in a sidewinder, narrowly restraining the automatic wing-rake which came with that particular battle maneuver. Taming a hiss, Adith whirled into a twirl and whooshed up through a pair of close blues, flinging himself upwards moments before Toryth did.
Ignoring the other blues was too dangerous, but Toryth was the bright light for his eyes, her glow powerful and alluring, no matter his intentions in joining the Flight. Almost lazily, Adith leaned to the side, dipping down near to Toryth--but not too near--before a heavy beat of his wings sent him up and out again, pulling away into a barrel-roll. So many agility moves in a row would tax his strength before too long, but endurance training would keep him in the air long after others had faded and passed away. He would have her!

Seconds after her wings had caught the air, Toryth was twirling through the air like an old Terran ballerina. Her movements were smooth and graceful unlike the boring, but challenging trials she had set before. No, this time, she would dance like the stars commanded her to. Their light shimmered across her already glowing form, brightening the darker colors of her hide. If she had been a Blue with the same markings, she would have blended into the sky like a bird among the flowers, but she was Toryth, Lady of the Night. No creature, great or small, was more beautiful then her or as unique. Nowhere on Pern was there a Green like her with the colors of the forest splashed across her hide. Whereas some would stand out like a beacon among the foliage, she would blend in perfectly. Lust caused her to turn her head, to gaze back at the five males that Chased her. Wait! Had one abandoned the Chase? Toryth growled with fury as she searched for the hide of the missing Chaser. Azrath was nowhere to be seen. Though it seemed for the best for who would want a weakling as her mate? With a challenging cry, the Green back-flipped and twisted so that she was flying among her Chasers.
Her limbs were growing tired from the stunts she was pulling, and instinct told her that the time to Choose was near. Obviously, the weakling Azrath would never be Chosen. He had disappeared, given up probably, leaving Toryth four other Blues from which to Choose. Her loyal Chasers were Adith, Jackreth, Enouth, and Kindrith. All were beautiful Blues, but which one was worthy of her. Which male was the best choice? Toryth hissed at her own indecision as she wove her way among her Chasers. Kindrith had been the most vocal of the group, but his words had placed him out of her favor. He seemed to think petty words would win her heart when the Green desired physical proof of a male’s power. With a warning hiss and another strike in his direction, Toryth scratched Kindrith off her list. Next was Enouth. Although the Green had sensed the Blue’s displeasure with her first trials, he had persevered, but all males did that to the extent of their abilities so they could win a female. Males were too to give up a female easily. No, Enouth was not for her. Maybe he would find a different Green for him, but Toryth was not for him.
A regretful croon was sent to the Blue, and Toryth’s list was down to two. As she flew between the last of her suitors, the Green examined each male carefully, searching for any flaws she could use against them. Both males were physically fit and mentally sound from what the female could tell, but which one was the best. Jackreth was only known by sight, and the pair had never talked together before. He was a complete stranger to her, but no matter what, he had Impressed her. When it came to Adith, Toryth knew more things about him then she did of Jackreth. The strangely colored Blue had come from the last clutch Fath had ever produced. He had Hatched with a mutation none had seen before just like some of his siblings had. But which one to choose? A male she had never known or the male she known of since the day she had left her egg? Shaking her head to clear the questioning thoughts, the Green pushed herself into another climb.
Below and bound to the earth, Ciara pulled away from F’con. She did not return to the center of the room, but walked among her Chasers, occasionally brushing up against one. Each contact was brief, almost unnoticed by the Green herself as thoughts of who to Choose whirled among her lust-filled thoughts. As E’yan-Kindrith was removed for her choices, Ciara mimicked Toryth’s movements and lashed out at the male with an angry hiss. She stepped quickly away, more focused on her remaining suitors then what the rejected Blue’s reaction would be. Three were left. Three handsome Blues, but only one could be Hers. Then, C’le-Enouth was eliminated, and Ciara reached out to gently push him away. There would be other females for him to Chase. Now her lusty blue gaze turned to look at her remaining males. Her thoughts began to whirl as the Green began to make her final decision. With a wicked smile, Ciara approached her Chosen just as Toryth reached the zenith of her arch. As rider reached up to pull her mate into a kiss, dragon entwined herself with her Blue and declared her Choice for all to hear. My Adith!

Adith flipped out of Toryth's way as she fell back into the males, knowing instinctively that he was not to touch her--no, not unless she Chose him specifically to tumble into. And yes! She flew up and up, the powering Rise which would peak and then--! Adith flew after her, darting past and under one male to keep ahead, winging forward and forward and forward... talons locked with his, neck twined round his and instinct took over as they met in skies and Toryth declared her choice. Him. He was hers for this moment in the sky, and Adith couldn't help but be a little smug...
Uu'n was panting from the heat. He yanked his shirt off with little effort, not even feeling the slight pain as his nipple piercing caught for a moment on the cloth of his shirt. And then Ciara-Toryth gave him a look of such utter wicked glee that he could not help but reciprocate, pulling her close and kissing her passionately. Hands which would have been deft at removing her clothing were busily removing his own pants, his job done for him already, towel forgotten on the floor. "Mine," he murmured in a short breath before carrying her to the bed. His Toryth...
