Eikask and Pidesk Introduce...
The Ballroom Dances clutch is arranged in a hexagon with one egg in the center of the other six. There is enough distance between each egg for the queen to walk between them with room to spare. Every egg has a shared quality: there is a mix of dark and light colours on every shell. This is a bit hard to tell sometimes because of the dim lighting but don’t bother asking for a closer look. Eikask is very protective over her first clutch and is often seen pacing in front of it and growling at anyone she sees.
Tango Egg: The Tango Egg makes the farthest most left corner of the square around the Waltz Egg. It has a dark violet colouration that gets darker in random spots. There's a sky blue ring around the top and bottom of this egg. If one were to look close enough darker blue veins seem to connect the two rings in a vast network all over the shell. Despite this egg being in the pattern the dam had arranged them in it seems almost lonely with its mostly dark colouration. The Tango Egg is a small egg though still noticeably larger than the Waltz Egg. The feeling it gives off matches its colouration: any touching the egg feel loneliness emanating from it.
Foxtrot Egg: The Foxtrot egg is the middle sized egg in the clutch but just barely. It rivals the Quickstep egg for its postition as third largest egg. The pattern on this egg's shell is almost too much to look at if you're focusing. Its much easier to unfocus and just let the colours swirl about in your mind. The egg has mostly the brightest of colours as if its trying to catch the most attention. Bright red and orange swirls around the egg with perfectly round dark green spots overtop of those colours breaking up the brightness. It only manages look childish with the refined looking Waltz Egg nearby. It sits in the front right corner of the square. Any who get too close are at risk of being pullrd in by the turbulent emotions this egg projects. It's almost as if this egg is trying anything to get people to look at it.
Waltz Egg: Simple and yet stunning is this egg. It lays in the center of the clutch, surrounded by the other six eggs. For all that it is in the center this egg is the smallest in the clutch. Despite being a wher egg the Waltz Egg is very smooth to the touch and gives off the impression that it is shifting under your hand as muscle does. This is, of course, just a trick of your mind. It is not the smoothness or the odd feeling that makes this egg special though. It is the monochromatic colouration that makes this egg draw eyes, if only because the other eggs have more interesting colours. The shell is a startling pure white that seems to glow in the night darkness. Across the shell ribbons of black varying in thickness break apart the white and blend with the darkness. This egg feels...sleepy? Any who approach it get the sense that whatever is in the egg is always sleeping.
Quickstep Egg: This egg is positioned in the farthest right corner from the candidates. This egg is possibly the most rediculous one to look at with its bright green base colour and golden splotches. The green is brightest at the middle but it fades to a paler colour at the bottom and a darker green at the top. There are large speckles and splotches of gold as if someone had thrown paint-wet sponges of different sizes and shapes at it. The seemingly haphazard colouration gives the egg a playful feeling. It is also the roughest textured egg of the clutch and third largest. Whee! Playful egg! This egg feels like it wants to play with the people that approach it.
Vienesse Waltz Egg: The Vienesse Waltz is by far (except for the Jive egg) the largest egg in the clutch. Despite it holding the forward most left corner rather than the middle Eikask fawns over it the most. This is due in part by its size but it also has an interesting colouration. Alternating squares of light and dark colours pattern this shell. It may remind some of quilt squares made by different people all sewn together. The egg certainly looks soft at a distance though it will be as hard as the other eggs at hatching. This egg gives off the feeling of impatience. The baby inside is waiting...and they don't seem to like it.
Paso Doble Egg: This egg is a bit larger than the Tango egg and sits between its darker clutchmate and the V.Waltz egg. It peeks out a bit to the left of the two eggs it sits between, almost as if trying to distance itself from them. Most of the egg is a bright cyan colour but it has a large spiraling pattern on one side of the egg that mixes the cyan with a dark greeny-blue. This spiral is almost mesmerising, best not look at it too long! While the Tango egg seems lonely by colouration, this egg is actually mostly ignored by Eikask. Is it dead? Who knows, no one is allowed near it. If one were to actually touch it they would feel a sense of something predatory watching them.
Jive Egg: The Jive Egg is just slightly smaller than the V. Waltz egg. It sits on the opposite side of the pattern, between the Quickstep and Foxtrot eggs, jutting out a bit to the right. This clashing-colours egg has two very distinct colours: bright pink and dark blue. There is no rhyme or reason to the colours so one best just take it as it is. The two colours have very distinct lines between them. It's a very lumpy egg in comparison to the others. Too bad the striking colours of the Waltz egg seem to attract more attention than this egg. This egg seems to love all that get near it. It's quite a warm feeling egg.
