Physical Appearance: He's pretty average in everything. He stands at six feet even, has blonde hair and blue eyes. His hair is pretty scruffy, he doesn't really feel like brushing it much, but it gives him a really hot, scruffy look. He has a squarish jaw and fine features (small lips and nose). He's oddly broad in the shoulders though, but everything else about him from the length of his arms and legs to his fingers are average.
He dresses pretty causal most of the time, wears whatever he thinks will make him look hot, which, let's be honest, is everything.
Personality: He can be really, really irritating in a fun way. He loves to talk to people, but usually that's in the form of flirting. Casual touches that might seem intimate to some people are nothing to him. Noah has absolutely no problem walking up to a total stranger and kissing them, no matter their gender. Sex and intimacy are just bonding mechanisms for him. That being said, it isn't impossible for him to be monogamous. It just takes someone patient who can inform him that sleeping (or offering to sleep) with anyone who moves, is not something everyone does, because he just sees nothing wrong with it. It doesn't detract from his affection for someone else, because it just doesn't mean anything to him.
At the same time, he's pretty in tune with other people's emotions...it's pretty mandatory for him, if someone he's involved with doesn't want him flirting and sleeping around and they tell him this, he'll stop, because again, it doesn't mean much to him.
He's arrogant. Noah thinks he's the hottest and best guy to ever grace pern and he'll make sure you know he is. You're think you're hotter? Be prepared to be proven wrong. He isn't terribly easy to offend, either. If you don't think he's hot or you reject his advances, it's not because you actually do, or don't want him. You're clearly lying to yourself to make yourself feel better, and he'll keep at it. Once someone says no, though, he's not as physical...and he's more likely to go in search of someone who's more receptive to his advances.
Sex isn't all he thinks about though...just prepared to be ogled if you're friends with him. He really likes to look. He makes a loyal friend, is a really fun loving guy and deeeeep down just wants to be accepted.
When it comes to feelings, real feelings, not the feelings that come from his casual flirtations, he tends to shy away. It'll take someone who cares and can show him that running away from true feelings isn't the answer. Also, if someone actually makes fun of his real feelings for someone, that's the only time someone might see Noah pissed off...because it just doesn't happen every day.
History: He was born in Selenitas. His parents were wherhandlers. The kid grew up with whers and learned to adore them, even more than dragons. In fact, he didn't really like dragons that much. Still, his parents told him that there was no guarantee he'd ever impress a wher, so he should at least try standing for dragons. So he did. Unfortunately, something was conspiring against him, and he was left standing every single time. He stood for twelve years, and while he didn't exactly get frustrated with never impressing, he was just convinced and accepted the fact that he wouldn't. Even the whers all seemed to dislike him, as he was only ever passed by and mauled in wher hatchings.
Lots of drama happened in the weyr while he was a candidate, but he involved himself as little as possible. He didn't terribly mind not impressing as long as he could interact with as many people as possible. Each hatching produced a new batch of OLDER candidates he could chat up. He was enjoying himself in the weyr for the most part. Sure, the wastelanders were jerks, but he didn't have a dragon killed, so it isn't like it affected him that much. The earthquake did though, both his parents were killed trying to save people from being buried alive, and for a while, he was devastated. Noah refused to stand, refused to acknowledge the merging of Selenitas and Burimyu. Finally he just couldn't handle the isolation anymore, and he returned to standing for dragons and whers. His heart just really wasn't in it much, so it isn't a surprise that he never got picked.
Then the war ended, and people were forced out of the weyr. Noah wasn't because he didn't have a craft and he was born to the weyr, and he didn't really have friends, so he didn't have to worry about anyone leaving him. He thought the holds were stupid and that the riders should have stood up for themselves, but again, he had no intention of impressing a dragon anyway, so the deficits of riders was of little importance to him. He just continues to stand and continues to be left standing, but he's nearing the age-out age for dragons, and will he continue to stand for whers forever before he gets the hint that they're just not that into him?
