Fur and Fun (Ember?)

Annatolli was thrilled. She was old enough now not to need Hoayamae's permission for everything, but it was still a relieve when her old guardian agreed to let her do things. Mae could have quite a temper when things didn't go her own way. Anna had asked one of the riders to give her a ride, and here she was at the first Gather she could remember in turns. The first one she'd been too since she was very small even. It was going to be great!

Xelos and Noish were pretty perky too. They flew around the young girl like blue and brown clouds that occasionally landed on her shoulder or chirped curiously at the things around them. Anna looked at everything with wide delighted eyes. With so much to see it was hard to know where she should begin. The games looked like so much fun and yet the various shop stalls had such beautiful things to admire. She could also smell something delicious from the food stalls.

Noish eventually choose for her by flying up to a group of canines, chirping happily. He landed near one, cocking his head and flapping his wings comically. Anna ran up to them, bobbing an apology to the person who seemed to be in charge. "Sorry, he's a little excited." Xelos chirped an agreement from her shoulder. Anna's eyes lit on the canines and she knelt hopefully. She loved animals, young and old. "Are they friendly? Can I pet them?"

Shamine startled a little at the appearance of a firelizard near her dogs but they seemed as unaffected by a flying pest around them. The two males were certainly watchful, though. With that concern done, the woman shrugged. "Go ahead, they won't hurt you," she said, mentally adding, As long as they don't feel threatened. It's not like she would let someone hurt her dogs anyway.

Annatolli beamed happily and moved closer to the canines. "Be good, Noish," she instructed, tapping him on the head. Noish chirped hopefully, dropping to all fores and rolling over. Xelos chirped in annoyance and hopped down next to him. He then flipped up into the air and landed on his forelegs comically. That was the proper way to be the center of attention! Anna shook her head, smiling, and knelt before the canines. She held out a hand for them to sniff. "They're handsome fellows," she commented brightly. "What are they're names?"
