Skate Race
Are you a master of skating? Or a fast learner and want to test your skills? Welcome to the great skate race of Winterlude! Open to contestants twelve turns or older, this race spans 500 meters and is separated from the casual skating area. The racers are not separated by lines so they may cross each other but if any violence or cheating is detected by the referees they will be disqualified. The ice in this area has not been painstakingly sanded to a flat surface so as to increase the difficulty and provide some hazards.
Every 100 meters the judge will call out the order of skaters based on random generation and description of skill within participants' posts. Hazards may also be included in the judge's post though participants are welcome to come up with their own hazards. The winner will be declared when they reach the 500 meter mark meaning each participant is required to make 5 posts, one between every judge post, in order not to be disqualified. Unless every participant has posted, the judge will post once every two days. You have a week to sign up.
