Visiting E’rro was always interesting. A mixture of exciting reminiscing and then epic boredom. His weyrmate, Raebeli, was also interesting in the way a patchwork quilt was interesting. So much to take in you often got hung up on one thing before noticing another. She was also exhausting. Er’ani was quite done with his visit after a few candlemarks and had started to get antsy. Originally he had wanted to visit M’ta but the man was so busy that even old friends seemed not to be able to get an appointment. Fiiiiiiiigured. With a heavy sigh the young albinorider, (Yes he still utterly refused to be labeled as Bluerider. Lketh wasn’t blue was he?), leaned against his pale beast and sighed deeply.
With a soft snort the dragon lowered his head to eye his with placid pink whirling eyes. I can feel your boredom from here. “There’s nothing to do.” The man whined plaintively at the dragon, who would have rolled his eyes had it been physically possible. That is impossible you know. There is always much to be done if one would only open their eyes. “I suppose. It does seem a shame to come all the way from the North only to go home after a couple of candlemarks. Maybe we could crash M’ta’s weyrling lesson?” I would highly advise against it. He seems to be in a mood. Blinking the rider tapped his dragon on the muzzle with a glove. “And how would you know?” I watch. The albino returned simply.
Wrinkling his nose at his beast Er’ani climbed up on him in a sudden display of energy totally at odd with his previous slouching. “So what do you want to do then? Anything about the south you particularly miss?” Lketh turned toward him and passed along a feeling of exasperation. “Oh yeah I forgot. It’s been awhile hasn’t it? I forget you all have the memory of a two week old. What about the dolphins? You used to love them. They loved you too, probably because you were different. Plus I think I still know some people there. I forget who but…” With a shrug he grinned at his dragon. “Who doesn’t love me?” With almost palatable amusement flowing across the bond the albino male crooned and then leapt into the twilight air. Passing along the coordinates they were gone in a blink.
Remerging over Blossom lake Lketh called a greeting to the watchdragon, making sure to pass along the pertinent information necessary, before twirling down over the lake and dragging a claw across the placid surface to cause a wake. Leaning over the side of his dragon Er’ani pumped his fist in the air and gave a loud whoop the noise carrying over the quiet. The sun was setting bathing the lake in a fiery glow as the albino looped back to shore. A dolphin breeched to his left with a chattering call of greeting. Grinning Er’ani urged Lketh faster racing the waterborne creature as they sped over the lake at breakneck speed the dragon finally pulling up as they neared the shore. Back winging strongly to halt their forward momentum, the force of air from Lketh’s wings caused the sand of the beach to kick up in a sudden storm. Unfortunately that storm just happened to bathe a large passing figure and his wher companion in a shower of sand.
A loud shout was the first indication of their mistake. Lketh gave a soft chirp as his hind legs touched the sandy beach his embarrassment hidden because his eyes were always pink, though the color did seem more vibrant than usual. Peeking from around his dragon’s neck Er’ani called out to the now sand covered figure. “Whoops…my bad. You okay?” Hey wait a second…there was only one man he knew that was quite that large. Crap… “Uh…Cainith? Is that you?”
