It seemed to be, that more often than not, E'rro was surprising her. Today, Raebeli was determined to do the same in return, and she had racked her brains all day as she absently moved along with the apprentices and interns doing mostly thoughtless work such as filling jars with herbs and wiping down counters simply because she could do it while still daydreaming. All in all it was nervous sort of action, and the whole time she had to keep her wits about her, and her eye out for her weyrmate incase the observant brownrider caught on to her obviously preoccupied mind. She didn't think she had all to much of a chance of getting out without a single odd look, but so long as he wasn't downright suspicious she thought that she would manage to make it through her otherwise strange day. That was of course until she shook off her daze and realized that - my goodness - she had forgotten to manage her paper work, and so she excused herself quickly from one of the interns and skidded off into her office to finish it up with the last hour or so of her shift.
Stepping in, she immediately rubbed the back of her neck and closed the door behind her, eventually tangling her fingers into her hair to remove the pins which held them up. Raebeli then rounded the corner of her desk and began to peer down at the pile of hide work she had and found herself so overwhelmed by it as to want to run away from it all together. She wondered then if E'rro ever felt the same about his own collection that sat on his desk, and it was at that exact moment that the thought finally occurred to her and her lips actually twitched into something near devious. It was a dangerous expression for someone who so rarely looked anything but innocent, and with a bite to her lower lip she chucked off her sweater and shoes and scavenged around the room for a touch of balm or a little something that would make her look like she was doing something other than playing with redwort and numbweed all day long.
Quixoth spurred by the sudden flurry of emotions in her bonded couldn't help but pry, and lit up with bright and airy conversation, Raelove! What has gotten into you? Do tell me, does this have to do with Ismaroth's? Ahhhh more importantly… can I help?
Pinning back a strand of hair behind her ear with a pink flower smuggled from a vase, she replied back hurriedly, as she gathered up all of her papers and inks and attempted to compose herself as if she knew exactly what it was that she was doing. As if she had vast experience in infiltrating the offices of former black ops riders and distracting them from their very important work. You can do your part by making sure that a certain somebody doesn't take off with Ismaroth before I get to him. Ohhhh when did we become such a sneaky one? I shouldn't indulge your bad habits. Ohhh youuuu. I joke with you. Your humor is off for being such a funny little creature. I will watch the ledge though. No Ismas will escape me. Good, because with a small adjustment to her blouse she was marching right out of her room and into the one which belonged to her counterpart, using the key she so rarely took advantage of. Content with it being empty she plopped herself into E'rro's chair and proceeded to do her work there.
It was so much more homey here compared to her own office after all, and quite pleased with herself she continued writing, looking up from time to time expecting the rightful occupant to return.

With both hands planted firmly on his lower back, the Dragonhealer bent and twisted, feeling a satisfying pop as some of the tension was released. He knew that cracking his back only helped in the short term but after having been bent over little dragons all day stretching like that felt blissful. Holding his hand out for the clip board E'rro scanned the chart for any mistakes before giving it back with a small word of praise. He was currently working with his favorite intern which made the day better because he could just dump everything on him and he knew it would get done in an efficient manner, well that and the young man didn't talk very much... some of the others were chatty Cathy's and drove him simply up the wall. Excusing himself the Brownrider crossed into the human side of the infirmary to retrieve something, managing to catch a glimpse of Raebeli just as she scurried off to her office.
He paused a moment to watch the door that had closed behind her with an eyebrow raised. Throughout the day he'd crossed between the human and the dragon sides, occasionally helping some of the younger healing interns with questions when he didn't have anything else to do. Usually he'd spare a moment or two for his Weyrmate every now and then but today she looked rather daydreamy, as if she was puzzling over something, so he'd left her alone for the most part. Rae and daydreams were no uncommon thing so it was tossed quite nonchalantly to the back of his mind. Shaking himself out of his moment of reverie, E'rro grabbed what he was looking for and returned to his little patient. Today had been baby check up day, and he'd found one that had caught the dragon equivalent to the sniffles. Probably due to the most recent snowfall. "Here," He handed a large tincture bottle to the Rider, "One syringe full in the morning, but make sure your bonded eats a handful of meat before hand."
He left the ending instructions and goodbyes to the intern at hand. I remember when you were just a little thing. You looked like a sand sculpture come to life you were such a light color. And you looked like a delinquent with messy hair. And you still do. Laughing, the Dragonhealer startled a near by apprentice who received an apologetic smile. Ah... well... no new patients for me then Isma? None that I can see. Which meant he was now banished to his office to finish the paperwork he'd started on early that morning. Lets hope it hasn't multiplied. Fishing his keyring out from inside his healer coat E'rro raised it slightly before noticing that his previously locked door was now in fact, unlocked. "Hmm..." He opened the door as if nothing could possibly be wrong. "And here I thought I would find nothing but stacked sheaves of paper." E'rro closed the door behind him with a smile and crossed the room to perch on an empty patch of desk close to the arm of his chair. "But to my surprise, I find a beautiful woman alight where I ought to be." He reached for her free hand and put it to his lips. "How will I ever get my work done?"

Rae couldn't help but be overly pleased with herself when she saw E'rro walk in. Everything seemed to have worked perfectly to plan. Well. Sort of. She really had no idea what she was going to do after simply surprising him, but with her partner taking up a spot on the desk and borrowing her hand for the sweet gesture of a kiss, she couldn't help but see that this was all going in a direction that she very much liked, and that in all honesty, she didn't need to over think what it may be that was going to happen next. Instead she smiled to match the brownrider and feigned some innocence for him, "Oh my I seem to have stumbled into your chair and not my own... silly me!" She scrunched her nose in her general manner.
"I suppose you'll get your work done the same way I'll get mine," she sort of shook her paper in her hand and blew on the ink to dry before turning it over on its face. Surely they had nothing to do that couldn't really be done in the morning... or at worst in each others company. For all she knew, they could get it done faster while commiserating about the worst part of their jobs. Somehow though, all the words she said and the very tone in which they delivered seemed to betray the more mundane and work minded intentions that she had, "Your office is somewhat lacking. I think you need a couch or a loveseat to work on. I could just take a chair... but the desk or the arms would be in the way and that wouldn't be very fair for either of us, because then you would have a beautiful woman to stare at out of reach and I would have the same problem with a very handsome man."
And now you've got him trapped don't you? I do hope you know what you are doing. It is not becoming to play with your prey you know. I will have to take it upon myself to apologize to Isma at least. Felines play with the intention of keeping all the fun to themselves. I on the other hand hope that he plays right back. Quixoth still found it only proper to touch the brown's mind, I am hoping that Yours isn't on track to do anything too important, Mine is being rather mischievous.
Raebeli very much looked like she was daring to peruse another sheet of parchment when she turned back up to E'rro with a challenging smirk and a flutter of the eyelashes that clearly asked, What is it that you are going to do with little ol me? It didn't appear that she was planning on getting up out of the seat after all, not that she was particularly hard to remove otherwise. She didn't weigh a lot nor was she one to put up much more of a fight than a little peep and squeal.

"Silly you indeed." He let her hand go. Crossing his ankles as he watched her dry the ink on the paper, E'rro smiled openly. She was toying with him... it was working, and he would be lying if he said he didn't absolutely enjoy it. Raebeli very much had the Brownrider wrapped around her finger and it took very little effort to distract him from anything that could be put off or passed off to someone else. This most commonly and currently included paperwork. "I think a couch may just be possible. If you stumble into my office again, I would not want to torture you by sitting far away in a separate chair." He posed. "Especially since I'm so handsome. It would simply be a tragedy." Grinning, E'rro scooped up a small handful of papers to glance over them. He had finished more than half in the morning and the ones that remained for him to do were nothing more than item and time off work request forms.
Switching sides, Ismaroth turned so that he could look at Quixoth and still bathe in the sun. I do not think that there is anything that could out shine Yours right now. The Brown shuffled his wings with a yawn. Yours has his full attention. I have a feeling, only an emergency would pull him away. He closed his eyes as his side began to warm up. The cool breeze and the warm sun felt very good. And it does not look like anything of that sort is going to happen any time soon.
He glanced up from his papers in time to catch his Weyrmate's little smirk. Dropping his work into his 'to be done' box, E'rro slid off the table, "And since sitting apart would be such a travesty..." He grabbed the back of his desk chair and scooted it back, "I think that I," He then more than happily scooped Raebeli out of the chair, "Should sit here as well." Plopping himself down, he made sure he didn't knock Rae into anything as he settled her on his lap and wrapped an arm around her waist. There was enough room between them and the desk for the Greenrider to continue with her work if she felt so inclined. "Now you can work on your papers and I can hold onto you." E'rro rested his chin on her shoulder. "I promise I won't distract you." Which was a total and complete lie, and as proof he almost immediately nuzzled into her neck.

"A tragedy of the highest order!" Raebeli replied trying to eye a corner in which a couch would be suitable. She herself already have one in her office. Not for herself of course, but there was simply no better piece of furniture than a chaise for the patients that wanted to swoop in and air their grievances and concerns in attempts to be all fixed up and better. The velvet upholstered lounger didn't often get too much in the way of use anymore at this point though... being in charge of interns and apprentices as she was, she spent more and more time out in the infirmary dealing with very real ailments as opposed to the unseen, invisible, mental ones. That was ok though... it still looked good, and that mattered far more to her than one would expect.
Enough with being a space cadet.... she couldn't just match fabric swaths and play interior decorator all day, especially not with E'rro giving her that look. She was definitely in for it now, with him sliding off the desk and reaching for the chair. Her only reaction was to subtly curl into as much of a ball as she could so that when the brownrider did sweep his arms under her, she wouldn't be a big floppy rag doll whose appendages swagged about in unattractive manners. With papers and quill still in hand she gave a giddy laugh as she was placed back into her spot, a few inches higher and in her weyrmate's lap to be nuzzled.
The giggles subsided into something more like a purr as she closed her eyes and enjoyed the attention and feeling of his skin against her own. Obviously she couldn't exactly do a whole lot of writing when she couldn't even see it, and so she relinquished her paper work quickly. It apparently didn't take a whole lot to make her give up on it, "You promise huh? What if I want to be distracted though?" She challenged him back, trying to angle in a kiss to his forehead, and very much forgetting that they were even still in the infirmary. Hopefully the world wouldn't collapse with them doing a tiny tid bit of slacking on the "clock".
Quixoth was quite content with Ismaroth's assessment of the situation. The green thought so highly of her rider and knew instinctively that the girl was far more bright and beautiful than the rest of the weyr. Perfect in her completely biased opinion, and she was grateful that someone else recognized this. The green knew it was only a matter of time before she would find her mate and though it was sometimes a very rocky situation - she only vaguely remembered Raebeli's distress during the break up - everything was finally for the best now. She got a good end of the deal too. Ismaroth was some of the best company as always, and as she craned her neck back to let the breeze swirl under her chin and down her neck she replied with a croon, Oh certainly! And of course it is much too lovely of a day for it not to end well too.... or at least I hope so. What is that saying that our peoples say? Knock on wood?

"Well then, you're in luck because I was totally lying." He smiled as her lips brushed his forehead. "I have every intention of distracting you from your work." His hand snuck up the back of her blouse, tracing a small pattern lightly with his fingers. As he'd grown, as he'd spent time with Raebeli and his brother and friend, he'd come to a realization. His dislike of touch was tied in directly with emotional attachment. With people like T'san and M'ta, the Brownrider didn't so much mind them touching, and with Er'ani it rarely bothered him... much the same with Raebeli, the sensations were still strange but not unwelcome. He could often forget about it completely. "You should be careful wondering into my lair, my lark." He feigned leaning in for a kiss, instead tilting his head to the side and letting his mouth trail down to her collarbone. "One day I may lock the door and not let you go." Wrinkling his nose he smiled, showing his teeth. "And I'm sure all your admirers in the infirmary, and Quixoth surely, would wonder what the big bad Dragonhealer did with their lovely LadyHealer."
And E'rro certainly did feel like some kind of predator at times. Generally he wasn't overly possessive of the Greenrider, most of the time he could get through the week without getting growly at someone, but there were some days that he just wanted her all to himself. Right now for instance. Reaching up he slid his fingers through her hair, running them gently through it so as not to tug on any tangles that might be there. "And I couldn't possibly tell them what happened." He leaned in close, making it more than apparent he would happily oblige any wishes for kissing. "For modesty's sake of course."
Stretching his wings, Ismaroth let them lay along his back sightly open. He made a show of trying to locate a near piece of wood, he settled for a support beam near by. Knock on wood indeed. I would rather like to remain at peace here on the ledge in your company. He paused for a moment. I do wonder where that saying came from. It seems a little strange.

And was that the faint dusting of a blush on her cheeks? There was no doubt that she was at very least feeling flush, as she settled into the warmth of E'rro's love. So addicting it was that the woman ignored even her smallest protests, like the fingers that drew beneath her shirt and caused her every nerve to kick in ticklish delight. Perhaps a part of it was pure amusement, the man who didn't like touch had no reservations about feeling about the skin of others, which was fine so long as she got her own fair share of touches back - and that she assured herself she did. Her own hands craved for something to do and having been liberated from paperwork began to tease at the fabric covering the brownrider's chest. So unfortunate that it was in the way!
"Oh big bad Dragonhealer you..." she paused to tap him on the nose. How could he even think of himself as such even in jest? Raebeli wasn't going to have any of that, "You think yourself such a terrible captor... but maybe I didn't just wander on it.... I can be a very..... deliberate person when I want to be," although, granted it was rare. Typically she was too busy walking on eggshells and being peaceable to concoct such schemes as she did today, "What if, my dear, it is you who is trapped in my web?" Leaning in so close was dangerous then, as the kiss she landed on the man's jawline came with a light parting nip. Somewhat proud of herself she fluttered her lashes and gave him a challenging look with a pout of her lips.
Quixoth was half way to a laugh when the brown made a show of looking for wood. In fact one wing of hers jutted forward and her nose tucked under it's greenish gray expanse as she coyly hid the snorting. Indeed so. I am always at a loss for the things they say. Perhaps the wood is.... hmmm...[/i] She really was vexed as to the meaning of the expression now that she was thinking of it, but as stubborn as she could be at times, she simply didn't want to just give up on it. Especially in the presence of Ismaroth. She would show him that she was smart and witty as they come yes... They knock on the wood you see, because wood is rare in big rocky weyrs. If you can find wood to knock on... you must be lucky. Lucky enough that nothing bad can happen! Clearly.

E'rro scrunched his nose as she tapped it, shifting slightly he focused his attention onto Raebeli's face as she spoke. He let the hand he had been using to comb through her hair settle around her waist so that he could twine his fingers together creating a circle out of his arms. Letting his head settle back against the chair he looked momentarily thoughtful. "Then you would be the first in a very long time to have successfully caught me." It was said in a very matter of fact voice, but there was an undertone of teasing running beneath the comment. The Brownrider smiled as she leaned in awfully close, restraining himself, for now.
"But if you were my captor, I do not think I would want to seek out freedom." He followed the retreat of her head with the advance of his own. They were once again in that dangerous area. So close was he that the side of his nose touched hers, their mouths a hair's breath apart. "I think I would do what ever you asked, so long as I was rewarded with your favor and..." With his arms he pulled himself closer so that their lips touched, initiating an, ehem... passionate kiss. He pulled back a little so that he could free his lips to speak again. "... with sweet kisses. If I was your prisoner that would be all I'd need."
That is possible. Ismaroth curled and uncurled all of his toes, stretching out some of the tingles that had cropped up unexpectedly. It makes sense... For Weyrfolk at least. Maybe it was started by them? Since Holdfolk make the outside of their spaces out of rock but support them with wood inside... He paused to ponder. I cannot think of another reason. I will ask Ermine when he is done being occupied by Yours. Perhaps one of Ours will know. The Brown bobbed his head slightly. It is a human saying after all.

Such a willing captor. Good. It made it all that much rewarding then when E'rro pulled her in close, and locked lips. For all her moments of coyness, she was indeed greedy about this, regretting not any smeared lipstick that can and was tidied up with a little drag of her finger a moment later, "Well then I think we have found ourselves something of any agreement. Favors and kisses and I'll have you there for all my needs," she was horribly proud of herself for this one. The trouble with their arrangement was that is was sure to make the good healer something of a demon. Who knew it would be so easy to have what she wanted? Feeding a monster he was truly.
She tugged on his shirt then. It was hard to stop the ball from rolling when it had already been let go, and if she could have pulled off the maneuver without it being clumsy then she very well might have been straddling the poor unsuspecting brownrider. Come in to get your nightly work done and instead have this on your hands: a needy greenrider, wringing the front of your shirt and showering you with kisses. She of course began rather chaste, a peck on the neck, branding a spot on the cheek... but when reached his lips and she was just about to claim that as well, she stopped to tease again, "I believe there needs to be a sign on the door. One that reads, 'the doctor is out'." She was more than ready then to succumb to more urgent desires, and stole his lips for another indulgent taste.
Quixoth had a hard time washing the good mirth from her posture and speech. As Ismaroth concluded with her, she very nearly trilled, stopping herself only to keep composure, When they stop being occupied indeed. Though... with a curling of her tail into a serpentine pointer, she gestured back towards the quarters where their riders currently were. The cocking of her head with resigned understanding probably gave her thoughts away but she said the words anyway, Mine might be having yours captivated for quite some time. I suggest we find our own activities.
With that she finally took to her feet, casually stretching out in cat-like fashion, her haunches and tail whipping into the air before her head and neck slid forward to pull her body the other way. It was only a matter of fanning her wings then before she motioned towards the edge of the ledge, We can fit in a fly with the sun still in the sky yes? We can always turn back when Ours calls for us. Which, might be a while. Who knew?
