Osnat had to admit - if there was anybody in the world to fake being weyrmates with, then it would have to be Au'st. Basking in the morning light pouring in through the cracks and holes that led to the dragon ledges, the bluerider sort of dazed about the weyr in that sublime state of half-being between sleep and wakefulness. Her shirt spoke of the perpetual listlessness of the pair, and her shorts were ripped and shattered at the bottom as if the lot of them washed up on Northern shores after a shipwreck one day and never bothered to get back. The end of the wars clearly bathed the woman in good humor and airs, and her appreciation for lazing about could finally be screamed from the mountain tops if that was the way she wanted it. That however would take a level of work that Osnat wasn't quite up to that day. Instead she was feeling incredibly saucy, and having noticed that her brownriding companion was still fast asleep, he decided to give him a good morning wake up. Rise and shine! It was time to hurry up and do nothing! With her bed-head leaving an angelic halo of dirty blonde around her face, the woman went about the devilish task of jumping onto the mattress to straddle Au'st and press her body against him like an eager feline begging to be petted.
Whining in jest the woman cooed, "Oh baby. Oh baby, baby." It came off a tad less dead pan as she had intended, but her half lidded eyes and easy smile more than gave away her angle. She just wanted to have a little fun at the guy's expense. Perienmoth might have thought it a strange thing, chastising her in the back of her mind as a very un-lady like things to do, and Leviathan wasn't even so much as acknowledging that it was happening, but Osnat found it all much too funny, and began to cackle before she could even get out the next few words, "My dahhhhrrrrling weyrmate, you fiend you... give momma some sugar..." she pursed her lips together and made some smoochy noises before falling back into laughter and rolling off and to the side of the brownrider. Two peas in a pod these two were, much to strange for their own good, especially the female bluerider.
"Wake up brah..." were theta words she finally settled on as she leaned easily back into a pillow and propped her head up with arms crossing behind her neck, "as much as I like to lounge around... and I do, I reckon that we gotta do something once in a while... " her instinct was to head off to the beach. At least then they would be lounging in a different environment, but even though there wasn't a place on Pern that wasn't just a hop, skip, and a jump between, the beach still seemed somehow too far away. That was her major qualm with Inverness. River or not, they were landlocked and her sailor's instinct for the sea had taken a major hit with this post-war change of scenery. Still, there had to be some redeeming aspects of this place and it's surrounding lands, they just had yet to discover it all. Maybe Au'st would get his sagging, rubber limbs into action and actually get up from the bed.
From her spot she turned her head at him and stuck out her tongue. Bring it wake and bake.

The move north hadn't affected Au'st all that much. It took a lot to ruffle him, and something as petty as a move wasn't going to do it. As long as he didn't have to do much when he got there, then he'd be fine. Even Oth seemed unfazed by the move. As long as he had an Uth, he was fine as well. Indeed, the brown was off curled up with his brother somewhere. Oth had nothing against Perienmoth. He tolerated his blue brother because of His' fondness for Osnat. He wouldn't even mind curling up with the blue, but there was more room on Uth's ledge anyway.
Unfortunately, Amelia hadn't fared as well on the trip. The lack of her familiar jungles had taken a toll on the green salamandyr, and for a long time she had been listless, her hide not shimmering as it once had. Gus was worried about her, but now he was worrying other than the back of his eyelids...which he was examining very closely at the moment.
Up until there was a dead weight on him. It took him a while to come to, and he peeled one eye open, fixing Osnat with a decidedly unimpressed look. "Geroff me." He grunted, throwing a hand up to hit the woman hard in the shoulder and hopefully dislodge her from him so he could roll back over and go to sleep. Sure, he was told when he was younger not to hit girls, but Osnat wasn't a girl. Well, technically she was, but she was still different. It didn't seem bad to hit her because she gave just as good as she got. "God..." He groaned, not fully capable of conversation at the moment. "s'too damn early in the mornin'. goway!"
Whatever happened, he would grunt again and try to go back to sleep.

If he wanted to play so roughly, he should have let her known. Even if the hand to the shoulder resulted mainly in a good hardy laugh, there was still the matter of returning the favor. After all, Osnat was all about eye for an eye, and after rather promptly rolling off and away from the brownrider she balled up her hand into a fist to flick out a quick hit back into Au'st's right arm, "Take that suckaaa!" She said the words in jest and with far too many chuckles to be taken truly seriously, before Leviathan cut in with a flair of her frill, Not that funny. You know. Bah, the gold really didn't know how to have fun.
Apparently Gus didn't know how to do that today either since he was going to plan on lounging there for just about forever. It took everything in her not to roll her eyes at him, "Too damn early my ass. It has to be like.... you know almost noon or something," it was a lie, she knew that much from where the sun light was falling in through the dragon openings, but it was a lie worth making. Off day or not, it seemed like such a waste to sleep it all away, "You can sleep when you're dead Gussy."
Her next method was a little more forward than before. Slipping off of the side of the bed, she reached her body over to grab at one of her roomie's hands and began tugging him towards the edge. He wasn't going to get away from her too easily either. It was much like pulling in an anchor or a net full of fish... or even like tossing a sack of firestone. As heavy of a weight as his was, this wasn't exactly a foreign thing as evidenced by the way her biceps and triceps flexed in the easy movement. The only difference was that unlike inanimate objects, humans could very much struggle. What a horrible inconvenience to her, "You can make this hard.... ar easy..."

Amelia was getting as fed up with the roughhousing as her owner was. She flared her frill, hissing lightly to Osnat. Baddd. Trying to sleep. Go away. It was sad when your salamandyr could make proper sentences earlier in the morning when you could. Gus only groaned when the woman hit him back, having to hide a small smile from her. How had he found the one girl in the entire weyr who didn’t mind him hitting her…as long as she was able to hit back twice as hard? He groaned at her, rolling over and glaring sleepily up at her. “I’ll be dead a hell of a lot sooner if you don’t leave me alone, love.”
He thought about trying to kick her, but she was already gone. For a split second, he thought that she had given up, and he was all ready to bury himself under the cover when she grabbed his hand. Eyes opened wide and he tried to dig his heels into the bed. Unfortunately, that didn’t work as well in a horizontal position and he found himself sliding off the bed. Narrowing his eyes, he glared over at her. “Fine! You win. I’ll get up.” He growled, sliding his legs over the edge of the bed and sitting up, not bothering to extract his hand from her’s. That would be far too much work. He yawned widely, scratching the back of his neck absently. “Jesus, I’m up. What’d you want then?” Like she’d wake him up just because she wanted something.
It was then that Oth returned, landing heavily on the ledge and looking at the humans with an amused glint in his eyes, folding his wings in and rumbling lightly. Gus glared at the dragon too. “It wasn’t funny, you big oaf. Where’s Uth. I thought you were hanging out with him?” Uth’s training. Came to find you. He didn’t bother hiding his speech from Osnat. The implications were clear. The brown wanted him to go train with S’rring and Uth. Au’st blinked a couple times, energy suddenly surging into his limbs as he bounded up, grabbing Osnat and nearly pulling them both over. “Uh, no! Sorry, buddy. Can’t do that today. Osnat and I had a date, didn’t we love?” He looked down at her. Not that he knew what she had planned, but getting far, far away from his annoying dragon and his preoccupation with stupid training was a good idea.
The best he’d heard all day, actually.

Grumpy animals. Between her own brood and Gus' she regularly heard the gamut of bitching and moaning about this and that. It was all too easy to block it all out at this point and so the green was ignored, and very nearly the brown dragon too, if it wasn't for the sheer gruffness of the mindvoice. She tilted her expression in a clear grimace at the ledge despite her best efforts to remain neutral. It was hard to be exactly mad at a dragon - they didn't intentionally come off so cross... usually - and so she trained her face back into a blase expression that so plainly said that she ultimately didn't give two shits. Let the dragon try and drag Gus into training. It wasn't going to work. She was the one who did all the hard work to get him to simply wake up, that was the equivalent of calling dibs.
Perienmoth too found it so hard to keep quiet too. Cracking his eyes open and lifting his head he considered the dragon with whom he shared a ledge. He didn't have Venideth to spat with on a regular basis anymore, and that was maddening for him. It was nearly tempting to poke at all of Oth's soft spots just to keep his sanity, but despite that, he had some strong peace keeping desires and said nothing to the brown. Nonverbals were his domain for now, and his eyes whirled a calming blue to greet the other dragon with. An amiable enough hello, especially since the blue didn't expect the other dragon to stick around the ledge all too long. He had training to do rider or not... right?
Osnat though, next thing thing she knew, she was being looped into Au'st's body as he grabbed her. She had every bit of the startled expression that could be expected, her eyes widening to the size of saucers as her weyrmate dropped the words date and love in the same breath. It wasn't until she laced the entire sentence together that she computed the actual meaning and began nodding her head in agreement. All of a sudden he was awfully agreeable to her plans for the day, and she wasn't going to argue it. Not one bit. Straightening up just a tad, and separating herself ever so slightly from his grasp she cleared her throat and explained, "Why yes... ya see... I think we outta..."
Oh. Caught red handed. She hadn't a clue what to do really, and slid her eyes over to get some kind of cue from her fellow rider. There had to be an idea there, even if he wasn't revealing it. Still finding nothing she felt the shiver of a cold draft in their weyr and instantly blurted, "Snow ball fights ya know. Or something like that. I'm not too sure about the soft fluffy stuff. Don't have a whole lot of experience with it. But if it is anything like sand we can build some castles and forts and not with it... right Gus?" The woman didn't know how to flutter her eyelashes or do any other traditionally womanly acts of persuasion, but she could give a good wink of her eye and a light check into the young man's side with her elbow. As masculine as it was, it had it's own sort of charms to it.
