Short, and messy reddish dark brown hair is the first thing you notice about this elf like child, running up and down the halls if not contained, a strange mix of her mother's mahogany and her father's nearly black strands, it takes on a life of its own. When she manages to escape the creche, or her mother, and make into the Weyrbowl, the sun bearing down proves to illuminate another feature of her father's hair, the coppery tone that proves Er'ani's hair to be anything but black. Her eyes are narrow like her mother's, but far more welcoming like her father's, a rich almost caramel tone in color with hints of gray. Her skin is a mix between the two adults, taking after her father in the sense of paleness, her skin a more pearl like tone than Er'ani's. While her father easily burns, Roiana easily tans thanks to Rosanna, able to gather her mother's rich and earthy tone in a month of sun soaking. Roiana takes after her father in face shape, the hint of angular features in her childish cheeks, softened by her mother's genes to make the hint seem almost elf like. It's not surprise that her mother's cat like grace has invaded her own walk, copying her mother's movements in her weyr, or something she does simply because she likes it.

At two years old, Rioana is just beginning to enter into her personality, but it's been apparent since a young age she has the tendency to take after her mother in terms of knowing things she shouldn't, and taking things that aren't really hers. While Roiana has the same streak of a need for pranks and tricks as her mother, she takes after her father in ways of her own. Emotions? The heck are those. Inheriting not only a portion of Rosanna's mind, but Er'ani's as well, Roiana is socially in-adept, preferring to spend her time up in her mother's weyr playing with puzzles than down in the creche romping with the other children. Her world a mix of grays much like her father's, her sense of right and wrong are very much askew, so it's no surprise that she's more prone to stealing, and pranks that go over the top than her mother ever was.

Her life began at Selenitas Weyr before she transferred with her mother to Inverness Weyr, ending up with her father and half-brother as well. Born at the end of the war, she is still surrounded by tension and hatred but Rosanna does her best to shield Rioana from it even though she brings much of her own over the top irritation with papa into the room. Silly mama.
