The winning contestant's names are announced and the first cut is made. As Nephele exits the stage the next round is called. Only two will move on this round. The crowd hushes in expectation.
Torino K'sel Kalierre T'ke
The second round begins. Two people will be eliminated. The remaining two will move on to the final round.
Rules Keep it clean guys. Your poems can again be about anything you choose. Only one poem recited per character. Make sure it's your own work. Have fun ^^
When everyone has submitted I will open up the poll. ^^
Good luck!

Ooooh, buzzzz. Kalierre smiled in that half-vacant way people had when they weren't entirely aware of everything going on around them. Crowd seemed happy though. How ironic. Recite a poem mocking them all, and they cheer. Kind of proved her point, now didn't it? Well, she wasn't sure if anyone had won or whatever, but she noted a girl being told to go so it stood to reason that she wasn't to leave just yet.
Well, lovely. Now she supposed, just to be fair, she should go first. That was much harder than going last, wasn't it? (Or something like that.)
"What is love but a fast track in, A word wielded with all the precision of a mace, A key to unlock guarded treasures and, sated, leave?
What is love but naivety's crutch, A dream ever-sought but never found, A promise of understanding in a world without?
What is love but a taste of the forbidden, A point of jealousy for the watching fates at work, A pinnacle that, once reached, can do naught but crumble?
What is love but the exquisite pain, The final blow that strikes hard and deep, The loss that strips bare the soul, flayed to non-existance?
What good is love?

How he got this far, he wasn't sure. Maybe people really were endeared by his dirty, filthy, charm... and if that was the case then he really should resort to his vulgar, Hyphen bashing limerick because hey, these people really were too far gone to realize when they were being trashed didn't they? But no, that would be grounds for ejection, and he was vaguely curious as to how far he could exactly good with his story-telling bits of poetry. Oh for the love of all that was good and green, this might mean he would actually try his hand at something in his life and not self sabotage himself like he managed to at the harper hall, or in every lazy two day relationship he had. Waiting for the previous contestant to return to their seat, he gave a moment before getting up himself and taking back dominion of the stage.
"a cockerel crows as skeleton boughs of late night lovers are piled and gathered
we met on the road just a trader toad you had mistaken and claimed as a prince
I swore my fealty and you so sweetly eased my pain my cruelty my suffering
but after my death on my last breath I will leave you a kiss puckered in rigor mortis
your porcelain skin a sadistic sly grin and a new wart pops upon your features"

Great, just great, T'ke blanched at the audience. He was so sure he'd be out of this out of the first round. Now what should he do? It wasn't like most of his poetry was all that great for a public forum. T'ke swallowed loudly. No sense in putting it off this time. Following the strange, not quite familiar man, T'ke stood up again. This one was one of his early attempts and for the completely wrong season, maybe that would work. "The whispering wind That blows through the trees The animal kin The birds and the bees All take on colors Of vibrant hues All sisters and brothers All taking there cues The trees are flaming With scarlet and gold The creatures taming The young and the old And so in the autumn The season of dreams Animals greet the sun Among brilliant beams They sing and prance They leap as they keep The autumn evening dance As birds twitter and peep Singing the song Of farewell to summer And before long Farewell to autumn and wonder."
