Delegating was one of the gifts that Casandra was born with, and she used it accordingly. Really, there was no reason for her not to use her skill to delegate the chores that she technically was supposed to be doing. It made so much more sense for her to relax and enjoy the afternoon when she could get someone else to do her work with next to no effort on her part. The riders in the weyr were much more susceptible to flirting than Casandra would ever have dreamed. It took nothing more than a few strategic touches and a couple of innocent words to have them do her bidding. Honestly, they were pudy in her hands.
Either way, though she had successfully delegated her tasks to a poor bluerider that had crossed her path, Casandra decided that it would not be in her best interest to be seen lounging around the weyr. Some idiot might report her leisure to Elisabeta, and that could spell disaster.
Casandra was not a nature person by any standards, but she did crave to be away from the quarters she shared with the rest of the candidates, and away from the weyrfolk in general. They were so below her, not worth her time. She had yet to meet one person who had legitimately interested her. That's why she found herself out by the river.
It was cold, she decided, withdrawing her foot from the water and shaking it dry. Was it really worth going in for a quick dip? She didn't want to get her clothes drenched, especially if they would be cold and uncomfortable, clinging to her long after she finished her quick swim.
Casandra furrowed her eyebrows. She could of course just strip, but that took so much effort. Wouldn't it just be easier if someone came by and she could convince them to take the garments off for her? Yes, she decided, she would delegate the task of undressing herself to the next person she saw. Never mind if it would take awhile for her to be found, she'd rather wait than have to do it herself.

T'san was, he had decided, going to act normal. With the support of Dsoleth, Nevroti and even M'ta supporting him while he quietly grieved for Meira he knew it was possible. So he'd do it. Normal meant finding some place along the river to simply laze around and do nothing. The brownrider drifted rather aimlessly along the sands of the river. He walked barefoot where the water could just barely lap at his feet and found himself amused by his own jumpy surprise every time. "'Simple minds are easily amused,' or so they say, Nev," the brownrider commented to his blue firelizard.
Sometime into his drifting he noticed a figure ahead of him and pondered what to do. Now see, he could go over there and bug whoever it was or he could just leave them be. Though it was not his intention to come out here to be alone, he knew some did. Hmm...ah well, what did he care if whoever it was snapped at him? Nevroti's suggestion to jsut leave them be held no sway over him in the end as he went ahead and walked towards the person. Loved the firelizard to death but if he had his way all the time he'd never get to mess with anyone!
T'san noticed when he got closer that this particular person was a girl. A pretty girl, at that. He sighed disappointedly. Pretty girls were used to being flirted with so he probably wouldn't get a terribly amusing reaction that way. He'd have to be a little more creative. Well, not that Meira hadn't been pretty. According to him, she'd been the most beautiful woman he'd ever known...pregnancy aside. Oops, there he went again thinking about her. Nevroti crawled around the back of his neck to put a physical barrier between himself and the stranger without hiding in His' shirt right away. "Well hello, missy. Didn't expect someone out this ways. I'd guess you were lsot but it really is as simple as following the river to get back to the weyr."

Casandra's patience paid off, not that she had to wait to terribly long for someone to aproach her. This one was interesting, she decided, after glancing at his riders knots as well as the blue creature that was trying to dissapear behind his neck. Not a rider she had seen before, and she would have remembered. He had one of the more handsome faces that she had seen at the weyr so far, and that alone would have automatically put him on her "People to watch" list, if only to seek him out for some fun at a later time.
But what made him intersting was the distinct emotion in his eyes that contrasted with the smile he had on his face. There was something there... was it sorrow? Casandra made a mental note to find out what was bothering this rider, perhaps she could use it for her own gain.
"Lost, no not lost," she said, sending him an innocent grin before turning back to the water, hands on hips. "I just needed to get out, to just get away from everyone for awhile. Well, you seem to understand, don't you? Otherwise why would you be out here, all by yourself,?" she said, probing slightly. Perhaps he would open up to her, you never really knew what riders would do.
"What I really came out here to do was swim. Now that your here, I really would like some company...." she trailed off suggestivly, pearing at T'san wide eyed. "What's your name," she asked, while gathering her blonde hair and tying it back as to get it out of her face. If she could convince this one to go swimming with her, well then, perhaps this day would turn out more entertaining for her than she originally had thought.

T'san grinned at her admission and subsequent assumption. "Nope. Don't understand at all. Well...no, I suppose I was trying to get away from the people who would yell at me for being lazy enough to just lay around on a beach. So...yes but no? I'm actually quite glad to find someone to pick on way out here." His grin turned a bit mischievious. Now that he had someone to play with he wasn't going to let go so easily. His eyes drifted to her knots and he considered the fact that she was a candidate. Interesting.
"Swimming in this weather?" He paused as if seriously considering it. "Sounds fun." He wasn't so easily scared off by chilly water, no sirree! "I'm T'san. And your name, missy? I could just keep on calling you 'missy' if you don't tell me," he 'threatened' playfully. Nevroti moved slightly and the brownrider idly reached up to stroke the blue soothingly. See? The candidate girlk was harmless, no worries. Having a skittish mindmate was difficult sometimes. Skittish and fussy in his own ways, was Nevroti.
"If we're going to swim..." He muttered consideringly before gently shooing his blue firelizard into the air and stripping off his two shirts. He'd had to start wearing an inner shirt because of Nevroti who liked to hide in his shirt so often. Claws hurt. He dropped them uncaringly on the ground and his blue firelizard burrowed into them while he considered his pants. Some people were just too prudish...was this girl one of them?

Someone to pick on? Casandra snorted. More like someone to pick on you. She cracked a smile at his hearty response to the swimming suggestion. Was this dragonrider going to face the chilled water, just to be her play thing? It seemed so!
"My names Casandra," the canidate said, rolling her eyes just a bit at the suggestion of being called 'missy' "Nice to meet you T'san, though if you would prefer, I could call you, Sir..." The candidate said, in a nueatral tone. T'san could contrue it how he wanted, eaither playful or flattering. Eaither way would work for her. Or both, yes, both would work just as well.
The blue lizard took to the air as it's human began stripping down to his skin, and Casandra watched him with mild intrest. Yes, she had picked a good one, he would definitly be one of her conquests in the future, if not now. In her opinion, he was what a rider should be, muscular with a pretty face to match. Perfect for some fun. Some of the other's she had hummored at the weyr, were not at all pleasing, but he different. Casandra had found a new peice of eye candy.
Her slight smirk quickly turned into a frown as he ceased without taking off his trousers. Didn't he know that if he was going to get wet, they were too? Well that would just not do, he wouldn't like to travel back to the weyr with soaked pants. "Once your done with those," Casandra said, flickering her fingers at the offending garments, "would you get to mine? I just can't seem to get the tie undone," she complained, indicating to her back. Now let's see what T'san would do, Casandra thought. This was turning out to be quite the fun little meeting.

T'san made a face at being called sir. "Oh please, that makes me sound old," he wined, though his tone was far from serious. He wasn't particularly sensitive about his age; he had older friends than himself. No...sir reminded him of his father who he really didn't care all that much to remember. That and it just didn't sit well with him. He had a name, people ought to use it. Wasn't that the purpose of supplying one's name? Then again, he probably wouldn't mind mean nicknames either.
Not a prude then, T'san concluded at her words. His eyes flicked to her and wavered on considering before quickly flashing over to amused. The brownrider was a bit dense when it came to romantic feelings but he had no problem reading plain old seduction. It was like a younger Elysia. How very amusing. He grinned at Casandra and wandered over to her with a cheerful bounce. "Now that just won't do. If I have to undress and then wait for you to as well it'll take longer."
Time to frustrate her a little. She place a hand on her head and ruffled her hair in purely innocent expression of mild affection. Nothing like putting up boundries for her to waste time tearing down. Then he started in on the tie in the back, purposely fumbling with it just so he could..."I can't seem to get it either," he said, the grin hopefully not detectable in his voice. He'd 'accidentally' tied it even tighter. He let out a sigh before saying, "Looks like there's not choice." He pulled out his belt knife and with a quick flick cut the tie. She was so going to hate him. But, hey, Elysia had wanted to tie him to a tree and let the felines have him so he wasn't too scared of a woman's wrath.

No. No. No. Nobody touched Casandra's hair, nobody. The frown that had first apeared at T'san's wasting time speach, deepened as her perfectly groomed hair was tousled into a mess. This would just not do, not at all. He may be a rider, but she was Casandra. Casandra ranked above all.
Oh hell no. He did not just ruin the blouse. That had been her favorite top. Thats it. He was going to pay. Casandra, smirking, let the shirt fall away and didn't bother to fake a sense of modisty. "That really wasn't nice you know, how do you expect me to get back to the weyr now? I don't suppose I'll be allowed to walk around naked, even though the idea sounds delightful..." Casandra turned gave T'san a long look. "Off with those pants then, or do you want me to take a knife to those. I might accidently damage your precies jewels. Now, I'm going swimming."
Casandra stripped off her skirt and undergarments before tossing them in a pile near T'san's disgaurded shirt, before accidently-on-purpose getting said shirt hooked around her ankle. Of course Casandra noticed, and she was sure T'san noticed too, but that didn't stop her from running into the water, shirt attatched and all. That would show him.
Oh shards it was cold. The change in temperature shocked the candidate momentarilly, but she regained her attitude quickly enough. "Oh, I'm sorry! Did I get your shirt wet," she called to T'san, giving him her best inocent look.

T'san grinned in almost manic amusement at the frown marring the girl's features. Oh, how fun! Truly, flustering women was usually more fun but he did so like to push buttons and test boundaries with random strangers. They were always so excitingly new! He'd have to remember that she seemed especially resistant to having her hair messed with. Well, at least in the beginning. He was sure that eventually it would get old. Maybe. You are terrible, IdiotMine, Dsoleth scolded him, ever the polite one towards others.
Ooh, don't I know it, was T'san's entirely guilt-free response. A little teasing never hurt anyone, in his opinion. And really, Casandra had it coming to her if she thought flirting with brownriders was amusing. Tilting his head oh-so-innocently at her words he started to get out of his pants. "If you think it's such a 'delightful' idea, then why not go ahead and do it? Last I checked there wasn't a dress code," the brownrider sing-songed at her. "Besides, I only took care of that nasty knot in the back. It's still wearable."
Her retaliation was almost amusing...and only not because had Nevroti not been peeking out and scrambled out of his shirt in time the blue would have been dragged into the water along with the garment, screeching all the while. The blue was safe but mighty disgruntled. As T'san gently laid his pants over the upset firelizard he muttered sweet words and gave the blue a nice petting. "There, there. You just cuddle up in my...er, underwear there and you'll be safe." Firelizard soothed enough the brownrider turned his attention back to Casandra in time to hear her words.
"Oh? So you did. Doesn't matter, not particularly fond of that shirt anyways," he called to her even as he stood and moved to the no doubt chilly water. T'san, once he was close enough, grinned brightly and dashed the rest of the way to and into the water conveniently near the candidate. His splashy entrance was cold but so, so worth it in his opinion if he managed to bug her some more. Knowing it would warm up a little as he moved around he went right on ahead and swam out a little farther. "You coming?"

Grimancing, Casandra ducked under the water. She really should have seen his retaliation coming, but she had been to busy gloating to prepare for his splashy entrance. Oh well, she was bound to get wet at some point of this excursion. They were swimming after all.
"Coming," she called as she waded after him, kicking her legs in clumsy strokes. Swimming had never been a forte of hers, but at least she could flail in the water enough to not drown. Thats all that really mattered anyway, the blonde figured that T'san wouldn't let her drown if she became tired. Who would want to be blamed for the death of a candidate?
A sneaking smile krept onto the girls features, and her strokes became more eratic, legs and feet kicking up water in every direction. Let the rider save her from death by drowning. Let him try and interfere. If he got close enough to save the helpless candidate, she would be sure to drag him under the water.
(Akk sorry for short post! I'm trying to get caught up)

T'san was a veritable fish out of water, the way he swam about. Though hardly graceful it was clear he was a powerful swimmer and so very assured that he couldn't ever possibly drown. He rose a brow as he watched Casandra enter deep enough water from proepr swimming. Imagine his bad luck at finding yet another poor swimmer to share the waters with. He let himself drift in a little closer due to her troubles. He may like testing and toying with people (mainly guys, but...) but he wasn't mean-spirited.
When her struggles increased he closed the remaining distance fairly quickly. Perhaps he ought to just give up and host swimming lessons for the weyr at large or something. First J'ash almost drowning on him, now this Casandra person. When he was close enough the brownrider stretched out an arm to try and snag one of the flailing arms. First step was to make sure her head stayed about water. Easier said than done with her moving about so much.
Also a bit more difficult when he couldn't quite touch the ground either. He was just this side of shroter than average though he never minded much. A couple extra inches would have come in handy then though. He totally wasn't expecting any tricks on Casandra's part.

Just a little closer, Casandra thought as she increased her 'struggles,' drawing the unsuspecting T'san closer and closer. Yes! As one of T'san's hands snaked out to help her keep above water, she latched onto it with a vicelike grip and pulled down, plunging into the water, and trying to drag him under with her. Casandra wasn't fat, but she was heavier than she looked and she used all of it to help aid her 'fun.'
The water was still cold as she dove down, and had a rather shocking effect. She breathed out in surprise, letting out bubbles which tickled her nose. This was actually... fun. Between her scheming and laying around in protest of lessons and chores, Casandra didn't actually have much fun. Soon enough, she ran out of breath and kicked to the surface, gasping for air. This was excellent. She relinquished her grip on the rider and turned to him. "Enjoying yourself? You seem a bit wet, I hope I didn't do that!"

Unsuspecting as he was, T'san was pulled under the surface when Casandra snagged his hand and went under. A little belatedly he remembered to breathe out to keep water from going into his nose. The sting of water going where it really didn't belong had him rectifying his mistake pretty quick. The brownrider had no problem opening his eyes under the chilly surface and he eyed the girl with faint amusement from under the water until she came up for air. He could have stayed under longer had he gotten a full breath but...
T'san surfaced in a showy manner, whipping all his hair back and to one side as he took in a huge gulp of air. He chuckled at her question. "Quite a bit actually. You seem quite wet yourself," he commented, voice dipping into a flirtatious tone as he waggled his eyebrows at her. Apparently he couldn't resist dipping into flirting to tease girl's with in the end. Besides, she'd set it up oh-so-perfectly for him, hadn't she? To add the icing on the cake, as it were, he added, "I didn't do that, did I?"
