Selmine must you be so ridiculous? Kaaoloth asked prodding his bonded with a talon gently. How is sunning going to help you get better? You should be in bed resting not out here dehydrating yourself. The man looked up at his dragon and scowled. “I am trying to sweat out impurities.” Kaaoloth snorted and regarded his rider with one great whirling eye. You are being stupid get back in bed before I drag you to the infirmary! The brown lowered his muzzle and nudged his rider none to gently.
“Fine fine you big bully I’ll go!” Kaaoloth snorted and gently wrapped his tail around his bonded in a show of affection. Sel’n frowned but returned the wave of love that coursed through their bond. Mine sick? Vanity love. Sleep sleep sleep? The brown rider turned to watch his annoying pet skitter out of their weyr and pause to regard him. “I am going now Vanity. I don’t need you nagging me to.”
The green mandyr frilled but declined to comment, instead she turned to Kaaoloth and frilled. Big ugly want mine sleep? Yes little sister he needs to rest. Make sure he stays there. As and afterthought the big dragon added. Please? Vanity was not in the habit of listening to the brown, instead she often did the opposite of what was asked, much to Kaaoloth’s annoyance. To his surprise he felt a affirmative course through the shared bond. Mine need sleep. The mandyr gently nipped Sel’n’s ankle.
“I’m going now you two. Bunch of nags.” Sel’n rose to his feet and stumbled gracelessly into the weyr. Making his way slowly to the bed he flopped down on the furs. Vanity skittered up the wooden frame and navigated her way through the unmade bed finally curling up on Sel’n’s pillow. She perched there like a little watchdog. Sleep mine. Love Vanity Love. She purred lovingly. For all her problems and self-centeredness she still loved hers. Why would she pick him if he was not the best after all.

She hadn't been invited. And Faranth knew that she didn't even really know the fellow all that well. But ... between her supposed day job, and some of her friends being weyrlings, Dorava had definitely heard of the Weyrling master's illness. So today, on the spur of the moment, she'd decided to make a housecall ... with a big bowl of steaming chicken soup and some salt crackers, that is. Must stay professional, yes.
She paused outside the door, and then hesitated. What if he were sleeping? Or his headache was bad? Well ... according to some of the drudges, no one had seen him eat lunch, so ... he did need to eat. And the soup would do wonders for his bug.
So she balled up a fist, and rapped her knuckles sharply on the door, hoping to generate just enough sound to transfer inside, but not enough to blow him away should he be sensitive to sound at the moment. Hanging out of her collar, Val peeped, and then skuttled back down inside her shirt, curling up inside her breastband again. Entirely out of sight was how he liked it.
Mandyr, however, remained where she was seated, on Do's shoulder, sleeping in an upright position. Some might think she was just deeply contemplating her toes, but Dorava knew the green flitter was actually sound asleep.

The rap on the door caused a massive hiss to creep from Vanity’s throat. No mine sleep. You go away. Byebyebyebyebye. Sel’n groaned and slid his legs off the bed earning another hiss from the mandyr. Nononononono. The green jumped onto Sel’n and clambered to his neck where she proceeded to sink her fangs into the flesh of his neck. Stay No Go. SLEEP. The brown rider completely ignored the small nuisance. He could hardly not answer his own door after all.
Kaaoloth rumbled and swung his head into the weyr. You should be sleeping mine. “Someone’s at the door.” The brown huffed. Nice timing tell them to go away…Unless they are a healer. The brown’s rider merely gave a dismissing wave in Kaaoloth’s direction and opened the door to reveal the green rider. Vanity shrieked at her. A female?!!!! No, no, no she was not welcome and Vanity made it known with a pointed glare and a audible hiss of rage. Pest Ugly Pest. Go Not welcome. She unlatched from Sel’n’s neck and curled her tail possessively around the rider. MINE.
Totally ignoring the mandyr he addressed Dorava. “May I help you?” He was not impolite but his voice was thick with the lethargy he felt. Stupid head colds. Kaaoloth crooned a brief greeting when he saw the woman. He had seen her around the infirmary, her was dragon Aonith if he was not mistaken. He passed the information to his. His would know the rider’s name after he made the dragon’s known.

Dorava waited patiently, hoping she hadn't woke the poor man from rest that was surely much needed. The moments that followed were almost seeminly excruciating in length as she figited. It was a good thing she was working at the infirmary. This would be a really awkward thing to do, otherwise. Calling on someone was something she almost never did ... much less on men. She started to turn and leave again, but didn't get any farther than shifting her weight from one foot to the other when the door opened and Sel'n appeared.
She blinked. Shards, he looked bad. Downright miserable, actually! Ignoring the expected string of curses from the 'mandyr, she shook her head quickly in response to his question. "No, sir. Actually. I'm here to see if I can't help you." She pointed out, before extending the steaming bowl of soup. "I don't know if you can stomach anything or not, but ... this might help you some." She mentioned. "I thought I'd drop by and check on you, make sure you were doing okay." Dorava clarified.
Mandyr shifted slightly in her position, and then actualy deigned to wake up for a moment at all the mental racket going on. She blinked, and lifted her head to peer at Vanity. And after a moment she then sniffed, and started licking on the inside of one of her wings instead.
Val also heard the racket, and scrambled upwards to poke his head out of her collar. Pretty pretty? He queried, before scrambling a little farther up, around the back of Dorava's neck. Positioned there, the majority of his white half was hidden around the back of her neck and inside her collar, while he the rest of him was poked forward, looking inquisitively at Vanity.

As Sel’n stared blankly at the other rider, Kaaoloth rumbled in appreciation. See the healers are still coming to call. Lucky you. The brown rider grumbled but took the offered soup. Something hot did sound good right now. His problem really wasn’t his stomach, no it was his stuffy head. The rider moved aside and waved Dorava in much to Vanity’s displeasure and she hissed angrily. Pretty? That word caught the greens attention and she shifted to get a better look.
Val caught her attention and she stared blankly at him for a minute. Suddenly she frilled and posed. Yes he noticed her. Vanity pretty? Blue think her pretty. Nice blue. Then she noticed Dorava again and she added, Pest yours no stay long?
This blue had promise. He noticed how pretty she was. He could stay her friend. Admirers were always welcome. His female of course would not be allowed to stay. She did not share with other females. Surely she made that clear already? Woe betide Sel’n if he ever impressed another female creature. Vanity tolerated Kalierre only because she belonged to her mate.
As Sel’n began to walk towards the nearby table, Vanity curled her tail about his neck for balance. As he sat the green shot down him and skittered to a nearby shelf where she perched. Mine eat. Then Sleep. You go now! She frilled for emphasis but then her reflection caught her attention and she busied herself with preening. Kaaoloth snorted in amusement and turned whirling eyes to Dorava.
You may enter if you wish. He supplied, to push her along, and then flopped down on his stone couch, examining the riders with slowly whirling eyes. It was good of her to bring his food. Kaaoloth did not talk to others often and that might well be the only time he ever spoke to the woman.
Sel’n in turn had begun to eat and he was surprised at how hungry he was. “Sit if you like.” It was the only time he would offer. Awkward? For Sel’n a bit, he was not used to company.

Dorava nodded slightly, and then followed Sel'n in. She considered whether or not to shut the door behind her or not. Being sick, she rather thought he needed the place as draftless as possible... so she opted to shut the door. Even if it might imply some really awkward things to other people. Health of the patient always came first. Ensuring that it closed quietly, without much noise at all, she followed him in, and took the offered seat, after making a slight bow toward the brown.
"Thank you." she said, to both of them.
"I hope you like it. It's got a little extra herbs and salt in it ... to make you feel better. If it's too strong, feel free to water it down." she added, to Sel'n, before falling silent again. Not only did she not really have much to say, but he probably wasn't going to like much in the way of sound, anyway.
Emboldened by Vanity's positive response, Val abandoned ship and clambered up to the shelf after her. He flared his frill slightly, mostly to hide that he wasn't blue all over. Vanity pretty pretty. He reiterated. Val's keep ... no keep. Valmine no keep. Keep ... gone. He assured her, trying to point out that, no, his would not be staying. Not long, anyway. Just long enough to check up on Vanity's mine.
