There comes a point in every person’s life when they want, above all other things, a drink. For Darya right now was that time. Sadly all the wine, even the really awful stuff that tasted like old boot leather dissolved in acid, had been confiscated and disposed of. So that ruled that option out. Darya looked again at the assortment of creatures bonded to her and wished even harder for a drink.
Currently the bluerider sat on a rock at the edge of the river, idly dangling her feet in the river, seemingly relaxed despite the overcast sky that threatened to rain at any time. However to one familiar with her Darya gave off signs of extreme frustration. Despite her apparent relaxation her foot twitched restlessly, her mouth was pressed into a flat line, and her brows were drawn into a frown over eyes that tracked a green blur with bemused irritation.
Five marks She thought, and not for the first time, as the streak of colour looped her and darted over to Azrath, who was sprawled out over a rather lager rock of his own. I cannot believe I paid five marks for an egg that contained a green firelizard, Imp’s future mate no doubt. I really would have been better off with a tunnelsnake. The green blob of colour stilled for a moment and looked around, tail flicking, eyes whirling in happy shades. Play! Play playchase Bit. A mindspeech broadcast sent the firelizard back into the air, this time followed by Imp. The bronze salamandyr drifted in the air with all the grace and agility of a wingless wherry and the firelizard, whom Imp had decided was called Bit, flitted around him utterly confusing the salamandyr before darting off again. Five marks…
You seem to be on constant repeat. Azrath’s head rose as the broke into Darya’s thoughts. I don’t now why you didn’t just call her Five Marks instead of letting Imp name her. You like her really, you like Imp really. You don’t hate me either, you just say that to make me feel better.
Five Marks is a bit of a mouthful. Darya commented, wry humour making it’s way into her tone. She couldn’t stay (too) annoyed when Azrath was in a teasing mood. I do like her, but, it’s just, why a green? I just know Imp will catch her, I know it.
Well I could always find that pretty greenpair I keep threatening you with… Darya burst out laughing at Azrath’s suggestive tone. You are a very bad dragon Azrath.
