T'san grinned smugly as Eriena turned away from the wherhandler. Fail much? He watched for a moment as Piden's failed hand grab turned into looking for a dropped item. Ooh! So scary, that scowl of Piden's! Not. He turned a smile on the girl as she handed him the costume. He looked it over more closesly while she dashed off to find him a mask. That also gave his opponent some time to woo her. Darn. Oh well, he was in good spirits and willing to share a moment with the knowledge that she'd be coming back to him soon enough. His charm and good looks would win out against Piden's Harper story in the end.
He made a show of admiring the mask, though he avoided asking if it was just in case it wasn't. "This is quite a nice mask. You're matching skills are wonderful. I really couldn't think of a better design or colours to suit this costume," he told her a not entirley faked voice of wonder. "And you are quite right about the five marks." He dug into his marks pouch and realized Piden's intention the moment after. Clever timing! His opponent was skilled indeed. It was a shame T'san couldn't hear what he said to the girl. he'd hate to be seen as a copy cat, plus it was always good to know what exactly he had to one up. He met the wherhandler's eyes calmly and smirked at the triumphant look. Eriena, hopefully, would miss that expression but he was pretty sure the wherhandler wouldn't. His intention? To make Piden think he had the ultimate trump card to whatever he'd said.
There was a good chance his trump card was just a bluff but he'd try anyways. Spice let out a little mew and the brownrider smiled. "Wel lthen, you said five marks right? Here you are, sweetheart. Thanks for attending to me so well," he said lightly before dropping his voice and continuing, "I'm sure this costume will attract plenty of customer for me later. Y'see I'll be running my own stall down the way there. You could come by and see my dragon if you have a moment. He's part of my stall." There was a mischievious glint in his eyes as he pressed the five marks into her hand and maid a small bow. "Hope to see you again, milady."
With that the brownrider walked out of the shop (sparing a glance to see her reaction, of course) and hummed pleasantly to himself. That had been fun! Gathers were such wonderful things to let go of any worries. Although at least one still bothered him. What had been that wherhandler's name? He wondered about that while he wandered a bit aimlessly.
