Brelas watched the different eggs that we're hatching and smiled. When he saw that the one egg had revealed twin browns it was a hope that he would impress. He saw the pair go over to help smash a egg and it revealed a bronze. There had been talk the last few days on whether it contained a queen or a bronze. A personal thanks that it was a bronze because it would increase his chances of impressing. If he got the chance at a bronze the young candidate didn't know what to think.
The smile fell from his face when he saw as the greens and blues went towards the girls. A dragnet even went to the girl that was injured and he sighed as he looked at the two remaining dragons. He saw only a bronze and blue dragnet remained then he wondered if it had been a mistake to come here at all. The dragons obviously didn't see anything in him as he looked onward and he just stood his ground. If he didn't impress this time he'd simply have to wait till the next time.
...........................................................................
Renisa stood as she watched more eggs hatch revealing a beautiful green dragnets and she looked onward hoping that they would chose her. When the egg hatched to reveal twin brown dragnets and a smile played across her face when they made the others behave. The young woman watched with great interest when the two browns went over to help one egg hatch revealing a bronze. He was beautiful however little consequence to her because she couldn't impress one. A personal hope that it had been a queen yet a queen to be hatched just after another queen had been laid in the last clutch not likely to happen.
...........................................................................
Hilen watched as the green dragnets seemed to champion behind the blues. He had to laugh at their behavior yet it ended when they chose the girls. The young man sighed as he watch them pair up till there was no green dragnet left. A sigh escaped his lips as he knew that a bronze would never chose him because he didn't have leadership quality. One last look at the remaining blue with hopes that he might impress the remaining one. If he had to wait then he hoped that maybe with training he'd be found worthy. A sigh escaped his lips as he thought that he would have to drown his sorrows in klah later. One look around and he realized that he wouldn't be the only one not to impress this time.
They had a healthy queen that would no doubt rise again in eight months which seemed to be her timing. He would grow stronger and enjoy the weyr while learning about dragnets. If he was lucky maybe one of the others would allow him to help with their dragnet in order to gain experience. His green would come and it would be even a greater experience because he would get what he truly wanted and waited for.

Impressions were occurring left and right, and Casiloy watched them with growing enthusiasm. The expressions on each of the new weyrling's faces as their life long partner approached them filled the blonde boy with a warm feeling, and strange impressions they were as well! Blue's did not usually impress females, did they? The bemused Casiloy didn't know, this was only the first hatching he had attended.
And it was almost over, there were only two dragons left unimpressed. The blue was continuing to tag along with the bronze, shadowing it's every movement. Amusing as this was to Casiloy, the candidate couldn't help glance at the remaining candidates furitivly, wondering whom each one would impress too. There were so many good choices among his peers, any of them would be good partners for the two dragons. Unconsciously shifting his weight from foot to foot, the sands were very hot after all, Casiloy turned back towards the two dragons, admiring them with a critical eye.
The bronze one, obviously the leader of the two, was the prettiest of the two, very shiny which Casiloy liked. Not as sparkly as a gold, but shiny all the same. The smaller blue was darker and it's hide didn't catch the sunlight in quite the same manner, but the blonde admitted that it was still rather adorable beautiful in it's own right. And they were both so quiet! Come to think of it, Casiloy thought it was strange that he hadn't been spoken to by any of the hatchlings. He had figured it out by now that the adult dragons, Feyrianth excluded, thought it funny to pretend like they couldn't hear him or adress it in turn, but how on earth had they gotten the dragonet's in on the prank as well!?

Kaius had fallen to the ground next to Lilu, crouching as she sat there crying. He didn't know what to do at that moment. She knew she wouldn't impress and no encouragement on his part was going to change that. So, the boy just held her hand, pulling her to him in a gentle embrace as she cried. What more could he do than be there for her when she needed him. Eyes traveled up, to the hatchlings that were just messing around. He wished one of the greens would have impressed to her, but it didn't matter now. They just had to be ready for the next hatching.
That was when the blue stalked over to them. Immediately, Kaius prepared himself to protect Lilu, noting that this was the blue that had been teasing his green sister at the beginning of the hatching. However, it seemed that what she needed protection from was herself. The hatchling's eyes flooded the rainbow of impression, and Kaius knew, from the lack of any sensation on his part, that Lilu had impressed it. Eyes widened, and he prepared to pull Lilu into a congratulatory hug when she fell forward into the sand, holding her head. " LILU!"
Just like that, though, it was over. The redhead's eyes open and she stood. Kai let go of her hand there, crouching in the sane and watched as she acknowledged her new dragon, then walked away, without even a glance in his direction. Kaius wasn't an idiot. He knew a change when he saw it. What he realized, sitting there in the sand, was the moment Lilu made impression, the moment that bond fulfilled her completely and recalled all the memories she had been suppressing, that whatever tenuous bond the candidate had with her was shattered. He watched her walk confidently towards the meat tables.
That was not the same Lilu.
Sighing lightly, he shifted his gaze from her, swinging it to the hatchlings. The two browns had impressed to boys Kai didn't know. Looking at who was left, a bronze and brown, Kaius hoped...but he didn't think he would impress today. Ah well, there was always next time. Walking over, he joined Casiloy, also looking at the bronze. " Crazy day, huh?" He said to Cas, trying to get over the disappointment he was feeling. It would pass though, he knew.
August looked from Osnat, to Sydney, shrugging lightly. If either of them were to impress, he knew it would be her. He grinned encouragingly at her. " I just wish your damn dragon would hurry up and get over here so I can go back to bed!" It was a good natured jest at best. He didn't know if she would impress, but he would bet on it. Of the pair of them, she was the more driven, ambitious, kind one...everything a dragon could want. He was just lazy, unmotivated and oblivious...to everything.
So much so that when one of the hulking browns came over to him, he didn't even notice, not until it had grabbed him roughly by the robe, nearly jerking the boy off his feet. " Fuc..." He managed to yell out in time for his hand to be ripped out of Sydney's grasp. Then he heard the brown's tail make contact with some part of her anatomy and he heard her fall heavily to the ground. " Syd!" He tried to wrench himself away from the grasp of the brown dragon, only to be shoved towards a boy he didn't know. Suddenly, his mind was enveloped, and he was feeling something completely foreign to him as the dragon's mind melded with his.
" Whoa..." He said, standing there, looking down at the dragon...dragons. The twins. He had impressed one? We are Oth and Uth. The twins said in unison to their respective riders, and then Oth added as an aside to him. I am Oth, Au'stmine. For a moment, he just stood there, a little shellstruck. Until, We wish to be fed! " Oh, really?" For a moment, August didn't move, he just stared at his dragon, looking obliviously up at Serring...er, S'rring for a moment until Oth butted his legs quite hard. Are you deaf...or stupid? We are starving! Food, now!
" Okay, okay. You don't have to be so pushy!" Au'st glanced up at the other boy, who had asked him a question, but his dragon seemed to have other ideas. " I'm Au'st." He said, answering the other kid's question. Yes. Apparently the dragon had chosen his new name for him. Then, he led Oth to the feeding table, or...Oth led him. As he passed Sydney, he stopped for a second, earning a dirty look from the brown dragon long enough to smile at her. " His name is Oth." Then he added in an aside. " Send the blue good thoughts. I know you have this." Then he allowed Oth to pull him to the feeding table, and he found he was standing next to Osnat.
The boy grinned at her. " Imagine that. I think we're each other's good luck charms!" He joked to her, shoving meat into Oth's open jaws. When M'ta spoke to them, S'rring sounded out, and almost instantly after the other boy had gone, Au'st did the same. " I'm Au'st...of brown Oth." Speaking of. The brown had realized that Au'st had stopped feeding him and headbutted him. The boy frowned down, realizing that he was probably going to have some bruises down there.
Olivia stretched and watched as more dragons impressed. The girl wasn't too upset. She was a perpetual optimist. If her dragon wasn't here, she would find it during another hatching. Nothing to be upset about. She would impress eventually, but for now she was fine where she was. The girl hoped that Pippin wasn't too upset at her having yelled at him. She made a mental note to go find him after the hatching, and maybe N'rik. Though, she didn't want the boy to realize that she had failed to impress again...after all that faith in her he had. Ah well. She'd cross that bridge when she got there.
Maybe it was a good thing that she didn't impress. Surely she would have made Phaiden feel terrible if she came out of this with a dragon when the girl herself wasn't even old enough to stand. Surely though, as soon as Phai was old enough to impress, she would impress the best dragon in the clutch. Maybe even a queen. Grinning at the Pern equivalent of believing your child is good enough to be president, she prepared herself to go back to see Phaiden and Piden, wishing the other two dragons would hurry.
Buram was just fine with the way things had been playing out, thanks. He didn't need a dragon smacking into his legs, cutting him all up or even trampling him. He had seen enough injuries like that to last him a lifetime. The healing apprentice edged away from the browns and mischievous blue, pausing on the outskirts of the scant amount of candidates that remained, eyes locked on the bronze and blue dragons that had yet to impress.

T'san snorted against Elysia's neck when she played the 'woe is me' card. "You're more exciting than most things I know, don't fret dear," was his dry comment. He withdrew a bit when she began to turn her head and he grinned at her. "I'm really no less happy to have a lap full of woman than any other straight guy. You're just not my woman." There was a moment when his gaze seemed rather far away before he shook it off. Had one not been paying attention to the emotions flitting across the brownrider's face it would have been easy to assume he was referring to her being S'rei's woman.
True enough, he wouldn't want to do anything with his friend's weyrmate, but he also sort of meant that she wasn't Meira. The brownrider cheerily added, "So quit wiggling or I can't guarantee not poking you." The conversation drifted onwards as the hatching did and there was an almost contemplative silence as they both watched the babies. He wouldn't put it past them to charge into the stands either. T'san chuckled at her teasing and was tempted to give her a poke - an innocent one! Really! - but he didn't want to risk it tickling her and having her move.
Then she was attracting S'rei's attention and T'san shifted slightly to get a look at the bronzerider's expression. Him smiling at the brownrider was not entirely expected but her returned it all the same. "Sounds good," he said, pausing momentarily, "and Dsoleth likes the idea." He'd missed having his friends around, though he hadn't entirely realized how much he missed them until the weyrs had merged again and they were all right there. At most a dragon call away.

Shells returned Leviathan's nuzzle and was about to answer her question when some obnoxious pest interrupted his train of thought. Honestly, any other time Shells would have talked right over King, but in the presence of a Gold the Bronze was on his best behavior. Oh no, King-thing make terrible steak, Shells cooed, tone dangerously pleasant, becoming less pleasant and more dangerous as he went on, Shells older, Shells better, King-thing no command. Levi knows. Shells fix fatty ursooper, just like he fix King-thing iffin King-thing try to take Shells' throne. URSOOPER. The red-bronze mandyr even went so far as to flash his own scarlet frill at the younger bronze, a dangerous pastime for Shells, whose frill was absolutely enormous and prone to catching errant gusts of wind. Luckily, the hatching sands were not particularly windy, so Shells managed to stay on the railing. Looping his tail over the railing so it brushed aganist Leviathan's foot, he added, Shells help Levi-tan revenge fatty false queen, 'fterall. King no help. King-thing jus' try get in way by 'manding Shells away, which King-thing no do. King-thing on sides with fakeyface-throne?

Caden just grimaced a little when Kaegan pointed out her injury, eventually grumbling, "You're senior Weyrwoman... or whatever... 's my duty to protect you. You're more important." The junior goldrider surrendered her arm fast enough, though, glancing over Kaegan's head to catch some of the impressions that were finally happening. When she realized the other goldrider was still speaking to her, she answered, "Huh? Oh, sure, I'll stop by late, after they're done with the weyrlings."
That's about when Nitrath broke in gently to ask, Lketh wants to know if you're alright, girl. Shall I tell him to send His over or no? Of course, the idea that Er'ani had both noticed that Caden was hurt and wanted to come over and... what, hold her hand? made Caden turn a bright scarlet. In an attempt to keep this information from Kaegan, Caden stretched up to look over at the hatchlings again, where of course her eyes immediately found Er'ani. She turned redder. I guess, if he must come over he can. Lemme ask Kaegan first, though. "Um, Weyr- er, Kaegan?" Caden still wasn't quite used to addressing the Weyrwoman by her first name, but as another Goldrider Caden was entitled to it, "Is it ok if Er'ani comes up on the couch?" Tell her he is causing trouble with the Weyrlings.[/i] "Nitrath says it'll keep him from causing trouble with the Weyrlings? M'ta seems angry at him?"

"Ah," Ten replied, glancing down at the hatching/carnage below them. "Yes, the blood do be... unpleasant. I do no believe Rajnith's hatching was half so bloody; these must be angry dragonets, no?" The question was mostly rhetorical, but Ten left it open - if T'ke wanted to have a conversation to keep his mind off the blood, she was game. His salamandyr got a sharp look, but as long as he was broadcasting quieter, he wasn't really her pet to discipline.
Then Ruliana arrived, making Ten simultaneously happy and nervous. She'd always liked Ruliana from afar, and chatted with her occasionally, but her classmate had been close with Jazz before Jazz and Ten were roommates, and Ten had always felt a bit like she was stealing the Bluerider, and imagined the Greenrider had held that against her. Not to mention that Amalath was not Rajnith's favorite, and Ten's green generally picked on those that weren't her favorites... regardless, Ten was glad she seemed to have overestimated the other girl's dislike. She needed more girl friends, especially since she'd woken up with Jazz after Raj's last flight. That had been embarrassing.
Of course, Ruliana's insinuation regarding her relationship with T'ke made Ten blush slightly, and she stumbled over the Bluerider trying to deny it. "Oh no - no, I did just meet him, at the last Salamandyr hatching. We're hatching companions?" Then Ruliana's attention was stolen by the hatchlings, and Ten's was too - they had finally started impressing! Clapping for each new pair, she pointed, saying, "Oo, look! That girl that did have her legs near sliced open did impress!" With a sheepish glance at T'ke - he'd just said he didn't like blood, after all, she added, "The rest of them do look mostly whole, at least..."

Erno was still wide-eyed, totally overwhelmed. Everything was going so fast now! Momentarily distracted from Tavis, he mumbled something mostly unintelligible, then shook his head and tried again. "But what if your lifemate's here? If you leave, they'll go Between... and that's just sad. Nothing should die so soon after being born!" When Tavis asked about the number of Dragonets, though, Erno had to count again. "Hey... there are eight? Those two browns look exactly the same, though. Maybe they were twins?"
When Erno looked around, though, Tavis was looking at Vellani with a face full of concern - hmmm, possible set-up there, Vellani was cute - and then headed off towards the feeding tables. "Hey!" Erno hissed, reaching out to catch Tavis and missing. When Erno looked back, though, Tavis had just gone to lean against the wall, so Erno joined him. At least this way he wouldn't get all bloody. "Well... not necessarily one of those? That one looks nice," he said, pointing over at Vellani's dragon, "And the lightest blue, and the bronze. Even the two browns stopped the fighting, and the two light-colored ones were totally provoked. And they're babies? Human babies are clumsy, but they don't have claws, thank faranth."
Falling silent for a just a moment, Erno crossed his arms, then something occurred to him. "My sister's a dragonrider, and her dragon's great, nothing like these. I haven't met him yet, but I've heard stories. If you don't impress - which I think is a ludicrous idea, by the way, even if you don't WANT to be a rider I bet you'd make a great one - would you want to meet him? He's Brown." Erno was an outgoing person to begin with, and he got chattier when he was nervous - and he was nervous today. He did not want to get flattened by a dragonet, thanks.

Well, I am honored, you are very beautiful after all. I think... I chased you? M'kai's memories were not especially useful to Futh at the moment, considering that the Rider was using most of his brain-power for the chess game that was any conversation of M'kai's with A'emi. He gathered a few things, however, one being Kyrahth's flight at the Gather, where M'kai had confused his current bedmate for her twin sister. Futh had known the differance of course, but Futh had been busy chasing Kyrahth. Humans took these things too seriously anyway.
M'kai wasted no time shaking A'emi off when the Greenrider tried linking arms - the contact felt good, given how hard it was for Futh to restrain himself from cuddling Kyrahth (M'kai had taken pity on his Blue and reminded him of that minor detail), but M'kai wasn't exactly keen to be seen waltzing around the Weyr with a man in tow. If he was walking somewhat closer to A'emi than strictly necessary, and if his arm now at his side brushed A'emi's more often than not, well, M'kai could only blame Futh. Stupid dragon emotions.
A'emi's comment about Kyrahth made M'kai chuckle darkly, though. "Well, Futh is up there attempting to work his magic as we speak. And I'm still not sure I like you so much as I tolerate you for your chessboxing skills, not to mention that I figure Isori would probably be fairly upset if I let a man move in before her. I told her it looked bad to have a Weyrling living with me; I doubt it would do much more for my reputation if you moved in."
By then they'd emerged into the first level of the stands, and M'kai's eyebrows shot up. "Quickly indeed," he answered Titania, then echoed A'emi's expletive with his own. "Shards and shells. I should have stayed down there, I'm gonna have to comfort stricken candidates any second now. I hope some of them are hot. If Isori asks, I never said that," he corrected himself; having a girl attached to him again, in whatever way Isori was attached, was strange. He knew he really shouldn't be talking about her as much as he was, pretty much anyone would be able to put two and two together if anything happened to Alkeilyth, but he couldn't seem to stop it. Word vomiting, honeymoon phase, call it what you wanted, Isori was constantly there in the forefront of his mind... although it didn't stop him from hoping some of the leftover candidates were attractive. Nothing wrong with eye candy.

Titania blinked at M’kai, answering neatly before A’emi, The gentleman doth protest too much, I think. However, pushing on smoothly and unwilling to linger on A’emi’s personal entanglements at the moment, those could be fixed at a later date and at leisure, If the Healers are competent you have no cause to leave my love and I, the Candidates are no longer children and should learn to love and lose. And so closely does sorrow bind them where authority cannot. Her tail wound tighter around M’kai’s wrist, her very own attempt at keeping him from actually going anywhere; he was taller a perch than A’emi was anyway.
“Your reputation with me already precedes you, I think,” A’emi corrected dryly, since he was pretty sure that among the right people it did—those he had been close to at Selenitas, anyway. The Weyrlings and Candidates, not so much, but then, A’emi had never concerned himself much with them. “Also despite popular belief, your girlfriend and I actually don’t have gossip parties starring you, as that would be incredibly awkward. And,” he added absently, catching at M’kai’s sleeve to half-guide and half-tug him to an empty spot near the railing, “I think she thinks I’m going to kill you horribly in your sleep at some point, is friendship an alien concept here?”
He was entirely okay with M’kai finding random Candidates hot, but he was maybe a little sour about Isori—maybe because, disappointingly enough, he’d actually thought she was attractive (duh) and intelligent enough to be well-versed in the same stuff he liked. Ugh, jealousy—how fitting. (Although Isori’s paranoia was definitely a consolation—so A’emi was vindictive, so what. He was bonded to Kyrahth, some level of petty vindictiveness was practically a given.)
Kyrahth blinked at Futh, entirely uncertain of what to make of the blue; her first instinct was to dismiss him as childish and not worth her time, but A’emi said and…ugh. You did, she agreed, and then decided to expand his knowledge, not that she remembered this either—I allowed you to Catch me, A’emi says. She flipped her tail, sparing the Hatching another idle glance; the major drama seemed to be winding down, most of the babies Impressed now, I don’t recall the circumstances.
Which was her very own not-so-nice way of saying she couldn’t imagine why she had; she suspected it was because A’emi had asked her to. At the very least she would allow herself to be grudgingly impressed that Futh could apparently keep up with her to some extent—he certainly didn’t look fast enough to.

Brelas continued to look onward as he was quiet for a moment and hoped that one of the dragonets would turn to see him. He wanted a dragonet more then anything just to impress and didn't care what color he got. The young man sighed as he looked around there we're still many standing and looked enviously at those impressed. One question that plagued across his mind was what did they have that he didn't. Why did they impress when he was left standing and he just sighed.
The young man had been told by the former weyrleader that he was just what they needed . He was the type of man that they we're looking for and here he was still standing. Brelas had to wonder if he had known what they we're talking about and had the search rider made a mistake. It seemed that women we're impressing more then men and it just struck the man as wrong. While the women would be useless fighting thread or other riders if they we're pregnant forced to be grounded.

Why do I have to fly Over every town up and down the line I'll die in the clouds above and you that I defend I do not love "Yes well, you are a Weyrwoman too. Not in some kind of limbo like you were when you were a Weyrling. I've gotten tougher, I can handle a few cuts here and there." Kaegan smiled as she tightened and tied the handkerchief onto the younger woman's arm. "So that means, you have to take care of yourself too." Now that she was finished, she stretched out her back with a yawn. "Milli and I have had a good run, and intend to be around for a while yet, but you are the future." Reaching up as her firelizards returned to her, the Senior Weyrwoman smiled as they landed on either arm. Zander crawled up to her shoulder then wrapped himself around her neck to take a power nap, while Azaran managed to balance on the other shoulder without knocking the other flitter off. The two boys managed to finally get along... well, get alongish. "Hmm? Er'ani? Dragonhealer E'rro's brother?" She swept her gaze out to the lurking boy. "The hatching is almost over, I see no need for him to come up here. But if you wish to see him, you can go. As long as you get him off the sands of course. Millieth has yet to notice him." There was a twinkle in her eye as she said that. ---- Yawning, the Behind the Back Bronze picked himself up from the sands and cast a glance to the Overhand Blue, watching as the smaller male rose to his feet. There was a pause, another yawn, and a very unenthusiastic chirp before the Bronze took his first steps toward the Candidates. Now that all but his Bluebrother had impressed, he would too. These clutchsiblings of his, only minutes older than he, and yet they were still giving poor him a headache. He would have his work cut out for him, he could just feel it deep in his bones. At least the Greens seemed easy enough to deal with. Striding forward the Behind the Back Bronze, bent his head so he could speak with the Overhand Blue, who'd inched up to walk next to him. Once they reached the now staggered line of Candidates, the Bronze sat down in front of the biggest grouping, swinging his gaze up and down the line. Flaring his wings to their full extent, he yawned again. C'loy, I am Kallandrith. He waited a moment then looked at Casiloy in exasperation. Boy I mean you. Get over here so that we might walk side by side to the place where I will get fed. He dismissed his Bluebrother with a flick of his wing. The Overhand Blue churruped quietly, making it sound more like a quiet hiss than anything else before taking his leave of the Bronze. Picking his way carefully through the candidates, far more carefully than any of his other clutchmates, the skinny Blue padded his way toward the boy who he had sensed, even from in his egg. T'vis. The male's mindvoice was soft and whispery. I am Detrith, shall we eat with our Bronzebrother? He will not wait long for us.--- Castidenloth watched Kyrahth and Futh interact, finding it unfortunate that the Green had not seen him so close by to lay next to. Or Futh for that matter. He was a nice enough Blue and didn't trouble him when it wasn't necessary. Finally having had enough of feeling left out, the battle scarred Blue fluttered from his perch and dropped right in between the Green and the Blue with a cheerful croon. Hello.K'thay, noticing what his Blue had done, decided that he too wanted to go drop in on his friends. Picking his way through the crowded seats, the Rider happily jogged down the stairs to the bottom row of the stands and sagged himself over both of their shoulders with one arm around each. Effectively preventing M'kai from going anywhere without some struggle. "Hey guys. Feisty hatching, no? I'm excited for the feast." I wake up its a bad dread no one on my side I was fighting But I feel to tired to be fighting

It's alright You'll be fine Baby, I'm in control Take the pain Take the pleasure I'm a master of both Based off: The Evil King Name: Kallandrith Age: >1 Color: Bronze #4C3900#CEA801img.photobucket.com/albums/v402/caranmir/Kallandrith.gifAppearance: Well... I suppose huge is a good place to start. Kallandrith is easily 40 feet in length, almost rivaling his mother and definitely matching smaller Queens in size. The Bronze is heavy set and muscular, yet he moves with a very felinesk grace, its obvious he is very comfortable in his skin. And powerful... those muscles aren't for show, they're for use. What Kallandrith lacks in speed he makes up in sheer brute force, anything that gets on the wrong side of his claws won't be there for very long. The force he exerts with each blow of any appendage is devastating, ranging from cracked bones to death, if he hits you right. And he can too, for the male is tall and long, with the legs, neck and tail to match. Even his wings are long and broad. He has to get into the air some how right? The bone structure in his face gives him a very attractive appearance, and yet... its also, for some reason, a little unsettling. Color wise, Kallandrith is perhaps, more closely colored to his Brown brethren than he is to the Bronzes. If it weren't for that all telling coppery sheen to his hide, the dark brownish coloring would be indicative of that color rank. That is, of course, if you don't look closely. Starting from the underside of his bottom jaw, a bright brass strip runs down the left side of his throat, down over his chest, under his front left leg, follows the natural curve of his belly, travels between his back legs and runs down to the middle of the underside of his tail... before traveling back up his right side in a near mirror image of the left, ending exactly where it started. He has cuff markings around his front wrists in the same color, but these are thick and randomly brindled on the front. Like jewelry. He also has the Armor like skin that the rest of his clutch received, but his is nere invisible to the naked eye, so well is it blended in to his body. The thick skin not only fills in the circle his belly marking made, but runs over his shoulders and covers a large portion of his back and lower neck. Enemies will be hard pressed to find a kill shot on Kallandrith. Personality: Kallandrith for all intensive purposes, acts like an angel. He charms and speaks with clarity, he will win many with pure charisma alone. But what most don't know is the longer you're with the Bronze, the faster his poison takes seed in your mind. When those he gathers around him have gotten past the point of no return, they see Kallandrith for his true colors. Its not an angel who has swept you off your feet, nor is the Bronze before you awfully nice. Kallandrith is not here for your entertainment, you are here for his. In truth, he doesn't feel anything about the pain or sadness of others, he sees it as necessary. And when it comes to sympathy? He has little for any creature. He his a master of pleasure and pain, and there are very few who can refuse the Bronze after he's in their heads or hearts. People and dragons alike look past his viciousness, wanting to see the Bronze they knew when they first met. Kallandrith thinks nothing of using brute force to assert dominance, or get what he wants. If he becomes a Wingleader, those under him will be subjected to a harsh rule. They won't know what they've gotten into. He's intelligent, dangerously so. He listens and gathers information, so that in tandem with his rider, they can use the dragon pairs around them to their utmost potential. He may act dull or a little stupid sometimes... because that is he wants you to think. He wants you to underestimate him, for he is nothing if devious. Underestimating his abilities could spell a horrible end when dealing with Kallandrith. He's completely loyal to the southern weyrs, if any loyalty even exists in the Bronze's being. The ounces of truth and love that glow in all the darkness are reserved for His and whatever female he has on his wing at that particular moment. He goes through females like a person goes through clothes. When he gets tired of one, he'll charm up another. Once he's in, he'll own your heart. But don't worry... he'll hurt you so good. Based off of: The Evil Adviser Name: Detrith Age: >1 Color: Blue 03002B, 3737FFimg.photobucket.com/albums/v402/caranmir/Detrith.gifAppearance: Skinny. Detrith is a very bony Dragon to be sure, he's definitely not as muscular as the rest of his clutchsiblings or as lean. The Blue will gain muscle as he grows, but he'll never be a match to any well trained fighting Dragon. Which, oddly enough, suits the Blue just fine. Because he's flexible, amazingly so. With his wiry body, Detrith can preform some of the most impossible aerial maneuvers with ease and superior reaction time, outstripping any old Green. If a Dragon could be suited to thread fighting, this Blue would definitely win the job. Because of that he's physically ill equipped for aerial fighting. Short claws, not muscular, long legs, angular bone structure, average biting force and even less hitting force... yeah, you don't want him on your fighting team. Upside, Detrith is a very attractive shade of dark blue. A color that, in very low lighting, seems to shift and flicker as he were made of shadows. Lets just say you don't want to try playing hide and seek with this particular male at night, thats for sure. He has only one visible marking on him, and despite its simplicity, seems to match the Blue very well. A lighter blue streak starts from the middle toe of his right foot and swirls lazily up and around his leg till it reaches his knee. It ends there in a complete circle, making it look like Detrith is wearing some kind of interesting jewelry. But now, to the unseen markings... or rather, mutations. Like the rest of his clutch, the Blue has inherited the 'armor' like skin, though in significantly less proportions than the others. The thick, scaly like skin stretches over his rump, around his wings, over his haunches and slightly up his neck... as if someone had draped a blanket over his back that just didn't quite fit. It could be said that his mutations were far more likely to be meant for threadfall than anything else. Personality: Detrith is perhaps one of the most intelligent Blues to grace the face of Pern. He is a combination of book and street smart that just falls straight into the melting pot of being extremely insightful. Having this all important ability to think for himself allows him to know his place in the color spectrum, but despite all this, he is power hungry. And because of this, Detrith has transformed himself into a manipulative, dark minded creature. He hangs around Bronzes, usually staying with one Bronze until the male wears out his usefulness. He likes being the right hand Dragon of a King, being their closest adviser is even better. Detrith is normally refined and stoic, speaking when he as something to say or not really speaking at all, but if he's asked to he can be both cruel and vicious. Especially if it lets him gain more respect or a closer position to his current Bronze. That being said, Detrith has the mental ability to become one of the best Dragon tacticians if he is encouraged from a young age to take a special interest in them. But, because he doesn't really need to try when learning things, it leads to some amount of laziness. Especially when it comes to anything but threadfall training. He's not a fighter so why should he even pretend to be one? Loose morals also contribute to his lack of willingness to do... most everything unless it furthers his own personal game. Honor, force catching, killing... bah, meaningless. He just wants to be in a position where it gives him the most power a Blue can have, with the exception of a Aerial Combat Hero. Those loobys can have that title. Why any dragon would be happy to go up in the skies, rip each other apart for a war instigated and continued mainly by humans when there was no personal gain to the Dragons themselves, is certainly beyond him. Close your eyes Not your mind Let me into your soul I'ma work it 'til you're totally blown

The candidate looked at Kaius with a grin, "Sure has been," he started before becoming distracted by the oncoming dragons. Casiloy watched the bronze and blue approach the candidates with interest, eyes flitting between the two. If he were to impress, this was his last time. Of course they would be other chances, he would still be of age to be a candidate for years to come, but still-
C'loy, I am Kallandrith. Casiloy blinked for a second, pleased that he seemed to have regained his ability to hear dragons, but nothing beyond that was comprehended. Boy I mean you. Get over here so that we might walk side by side to the place where I will get fed. "Are you talking to me?" Was out of his mouth before he could stop himself. " Exasperation radiated off the bronze as he cocked his head to look at him. I believe we have established that I do infact mean you. I would appreciate food now, so if you wouldn't mind... An awed smile broke over the new weyrlings face as he hurried over towards the large dragonet and hesitantly put a hand on it's eye ridge and scratched it like he had done to Feyrianth once. The bronze shuffled it's wings and hummed in aproval before standing and nudging Casiloy-now C'loy- along with his half unfolded wing. Come. And C'loy came.
Kallandrith chewed the meat his human offered him thoughtfully, showing distaste at the hasty nature some of them were inhaling with. Casiloy offered more meat each time his hand was emptied, and quickly the bowl was emptying. Fortunately the bronze grew full before the last scrap was consumed, but it was after he considered it lazily. Casiloy had taken to rubbing the forehead of the dragon in disbelief. "Your not a Gold," he said to himself in confusion. He had been so sure that he would impress a Gold. Will that be a problem? Kallandorth asked C'loy, giving his human an amused look. You are compatible with me, are you not?. "Your perfect," C'loy said, hugging the dragon's neck, completely missing the indignant tone that had premiated his dragon's tone.
C'loy looked back to the sands, back towards Kaius. He had been so sure that Kaius would walk away from the sands with a dragon from the hatching, even more curious that it was himself who had impressed none other than a bronze. C'loy's face fell but he quickly covered it up. It would do no good for his bro-mate to know he felt sorry for him.

Lilu walked with Venideth up to the feeding tables, her now-restored memory letting her know exactly what to do (since this aspect of dragon hatchings wasn't that different, even between different Weyrs). Picking up a bowl of meat, she began slowly feeding it to Venideth, verifying with the blue after each mouthful if he still needed more or not, since the smaller blue didn't need nearly as much as she had needed to feed the large brown Fellsareth...
As her thoughts turned to her deceased brown, she suddenly was struck with a wave of sadness. Finishing his current bite, Venideth felt the emotion and responded, "Why does Lilumine feel sad? She has Impressed the best dragon of this clutch. Mine should be proud, not sad." Trying to drive the emotion from her mind, she shook her head a bit and said, "It seems my new Impression didn't quite fix everything. Memories of my other dragon still haunt me. I have a feeling it's something that will follow me until the day I die... or you do," she added. "If I lose you, I will let nothing on this world stop me from joining you and Fellsareth in whatever afterlife awaits us."
Swallowing his current bite, Venideth stepped forward to look at His right in the eyes, his own eyes swirling blue as he said, "Mine, you should stop such bleak thoughts. I have chosen a most skilled bonded, and I am, of course, a most wonderful dragon. We shall avoid what danger we cannot handle, and make sure none are placed in a position where they may hurt us. It is simply the way of things," he concluded, retreating back a step before adding, "I am still hungry, however. I shall not develop my full strength if you do not feed me properly."
Suddenly, M'ta took control of the situation and called for information. Years of freshly-regained military discipline came to the forefront immediately, and Lilu snapped to attention, yelling out, "Sir, Lilu, of brown Fells..." She suddenly caught herself and cut off, glancing around in embarrassment, and felt Venideth being a bit unhappy with her. Regaining her composure, she began again, "Sir, Lilu, of blue Venideth, weyrling, no craft," she barked, then went to parade rest to await further orders.

And just like that, his only link to Selenitas and the other candidates impressed. Kaius saw the bronze coming from a long way off, saw it looking in their direction, and for the briefest second, thought that he had finally impressed. Yeah right. Of course, it had to be Cas. Kai wasn't angry at Cas for impressing in fact, he was quite happy for his friend. It just kind of felt like all his friends were now dragonriders and he was just left in the dirt. He knew he wasn't the only one to have been left behind, but he didn't really know any of the candidates left. His bunk mate had impressed, the girl he had liked had impressed, even the kid who seemed obsessed with him but he was beginning to think of as a friend had impressed. Would any of these relationships be able to be repaired? He didn't know. Candidate was a long fall from dragonrider, and he didn't know if any of them would be willing to take the plunge.
He pat C'loy on the back, hiding what he was feeling. " Get over there, you idiot. Stop standing around like that." The tall boy said with a grin, watching as Cas walked over. He wouldn't get used to having to call his friend C'loy...perhaps he could still get away with Cas once in a while. A good talk would be needed, but for now he had to be content with returning to the barracks alone...unless...
And it was here he had began moving his gaze across the sands, wondering if there had been any candidates left that he could possibly befriend. There were the two eccentric boys who looked nice enough and he was considering approaching Buram and Erno when his gaze fell across Sydney. She looked sufficiently upset and as he recalled, her brother had been one of the newly impressed. So, he walked towards her, grinning sympatheticly.
" So I guess we've both been left behind, eh? This your first hatching? It isn't so bad though, you can hang out with me if you want. I'm Kaius." And he presented himself as the best damn runner up prize he could think of, because nothing else sounded less like "sorry the dragons didn't like you".

Tavis couldn't help but frown slightly as Erno insisted that he could be a good dragonrider. Seriously, had the other boy not listened to a word he'd said when he complained on and on about the loose morals (and women) in the Weyr? Still he shrugged a bit, not wanting to offend his new... friend? is that what they were now? "I suppose I'd be up for it I guess... Before I leave and all."
Looking around he noticed the dragons were finally set on Impressing - good, this show would be over soon and he could head out. Nice. He was watching the Bronze as it walked over to a group and seemed to pick His. That just left the last Blue...
As he turned to see who the Blue was heading to - he was met with a flash of swirling eyes and a voice in his head, T'vis. I am Detrith, shall we eat with our Bronzebrother? He will not wait long for us.[/color]
The Blue was standing right in front of him. Talking to him. Had he called him T'vis? Oh no, no no no no no. Shaking his head he attempted to take a step back - the wall stopping him. He tried to fight it, but he could feel their consciousnesses melding together. The dragon - his dragon - was hungry. And he could feel it in his own stomach. He could feel the emotions emanating from the Blue and he shook his head. "No, take Erno. He'd take you. Not me."
I would prefer to eat with our Bronzebrother, T'vis-mine. Had I wanted the other boy I would have taken him. I chose you. Now feed me, please.
Begrudgingly T'vis stepped away from the wall and towards the boney dragon. Looking back to Erno he sighed and then headed towards the feeding tables. "Tavis. He says he's Detrith." T'vis. the Blue corrected him, "Er. T'vis. I guess."
In the back of his mind, T'vis couldn't help but think about Elisabeta - the damned harpy had been right and he just knew she'd get some sort of sick pleasure out of him Impressing once she found out. Shards.
