the Opposites Attract clutches
presented by Echo and Gawain, Kami and Raven
[/font]
Standing out in an almost obscene splash of color, Echo’s nest is nothing short of noticeable—perhaps a point of no little consternation among the wilder of her kin. The mother herself, however, seems more than happy with her creation, a lopsided mash of sticks and leaves, supplemented by scraps of fur and feathers, some of them identifiable as from her own breast. Not so common to the typical Razorclaw nesting fare is the tangle of threads that wind around and into the nest in a bright rainbow. There are also small bits of what can be recognized by many as herbs, wilted and dried and stuffed carefully into the crevices of her nest like good luck charms. The eggs themselves, the Quantum Theory and Unstoppable Force eggs, appear almost drab against their background, but Echo’s constant fussing ensures they do not lack attention.
Kami's nest contains the Continuum Theory and Immovable Object eggs, which sit snugged right up next to each other. She does not obviously favor one or the other, although the rounded Immovable Object egg occasionally has to be moved simply to make sure the baby inside is still alive. The nest itself is very carefully constructed, and Kami spends much of her time 'grooming' it, clipping off excess plant material so every stick fits organically into the whole. It is practically a work of art, but Kami would provide no less for her progeny.

01. Continuum Theory Egg
The Continuum Theory egg is medium-sized, maybe a little smaller than average. Compared to the other egg in the nest, it is practically flashy - white at the top, black at the bottom, and shading through a rich mahogany brown in the middle. It is a smooth gradient of colors, with no visible boundaries between them, and the egg is absolutely textureless everywhere. It twitches and vibrates frequently, however, making it clear that the hatchling inside is alive, and active.
02. Quantum Theory Egg
The larger of the two eggs is unquestionably the Quantum Theory Egg. It’s tucked neatly into the side of the nest, a sleek almost-spherical creation. In color, it’s quite unremarkable—a light, drab creamy white, with a few small dapples of golden tan over the sides. In fact, it very much resembles just any avian egg, save for a startling splash of purple-blue on the side turned away from the casual passerby. A medium blue splash the size of a thumbnail tack, not quite perfectly round, is orbited by ten smaller purple specks, the first two equidistant from the center, and the last eight slightly farther away.
03. Unstoppable Force Egg
Smaller than its sibling but still large enough to catch attention, the Unstoppable Force Egg is snuggled up right beside the Quantum Theory Egg, a loop of hot pink thread settled around the base of it, a sprig of wilted peppermint sticking out of the nest at its base as well. In color, it has an odd illusion of flatness due to the wash of sharp slanting lines, varying from near-white to almost-black, that slash diagonally across the surface; it looks as if the egg has been literally blasted with grays and dyed that way, set out to dry. Despite the variation of thick and thin of the lines, however, it’s an egg entirely in grayscale—except, of course, for that lovely little pink thread.
04. Immovable Object Egg
The Immovable Object egg is huge. It is clearly tied for largest with the Quantum Theory egg, although it is nearly a sphere as opposed to a normal elongated shape. A very rocky, rough grey, at first glance it looks as though someone mixed an actual stone in with the eggs. Further examination, however, will prove that this is not the case - like all the others, the egg radiates heat, although it seems to sit very, very still at all times. It has no distinguishing markings or anything else to make it particularly interesting. It is simply there.
