It was early ... around the crack of dawn. The sun's position just barely rose above the horizon, and only a few people were up and about trying to start their daily jobs around the Weyr. F'rah was grateful to his Assistant for not making the clatter that was traditional for him to make on the Weyrling's first few days. This time, the Weyrlingmaster made a plan with the Weyrleaders as to what to do with the Seniors and Juniors, and it was decided that he would toughen the young ones up so that they could have a chance at dealing with Meri. No matter how much that woman got under his skin, F'rah had to be at least a little thankful to her.
Today was the beginning of a long grueling process for both the man, his dragon and the twenty-six sleeping, unaware pairs that were about to get the rudest awakening of their Selenitas lives. Today was the first day of their Weyrling lessons, and just as their Seniors had to endure them, the Junoirs would have to too. From this day on, F'rah would be their teacher and mentor, he would be their master. Like before, this man's intent was to break the silent peace of the morning around the Weyrling Barracks, and the ever 'loved' bell in his hand would make it possible. Stalking down the hall with the old feeling of De javu', the Weyrlingmaster swung the loud, high pitched, and obnoxious sounding bell up and down with a renewed sense of vengeance. Between the hated bell swings, F'rah's deep voice rang out with an usual bite and husk to its words.
"WAKE UP. LETS GO YOU BED RIDDEN LAND CRAWLERS." A short pause, then another handful of seconds of bell ringing erupted before his voice was heard again. "JUNIORS YOUR WEYRLING LESSONS ARE STARTING... NOW. SO. GET. UP."
Above Weyrlingmaster and the Bell, a Dragon's roar could be heard, it was a similar enforcing of his words as they had done for the Seniors on their first day. Then, as a final reminder that he meant business, F'rah walked up and then down the hall, letting his fist fall on each of the Junior's doors that led to their occupied rooms.
---
No matter how many times they had waken up at this desolate hour, it still wasn't one of Styth's favorable times of the morning. The large dark chocolate brown severely hated the Dawn and along with the horrible sounds of the bell, made him throw some extra 'umph' in his own wake up call to the Weyrling Dragons. His Mine takes care of the Humans, and Styth takes care of getting the young dragons up with the sun. His old philosophy coming back into play... If he had to be up then they get to share this spiteful time with him.
Grumpily forcing his mind into those of his younger counterparts, Styth began to speak with a unneeded loudness to his mind's voice. Although the words he spoke for them, he had spoken for the Seniors on their first day also.
/WAKE. You are about to start the first step in your growing process! SO WAKE. Do not make your rider drag you from bed… If you choose not to attend the Lesson you and your rider shall be punished accordingly. Regardless if Your's attends and you do not./
Lifting his large hansom wings off of his back, the Brown's eyes barely swirled a reddish orange ... he really DID hate this time of morning. Snorting unhappily as Styth moved into a more commanding position, he let his mind jab fiercely at his rider's... it was time to whine about the time again.
/I don't like you Mine. I know its tradition to wake them up at dawn, but why couldn't you have left ME at home? Like you did with Shau'ri.../
---
The nearest wall lent the Weyrlingmaster support as he let his body lean against the cold, hard stones. Running a hand through his honey brown, shoulder length hair F'rah twisted a lock of it before frowning. Why did it always get this long? Hadn't he just cut it a few months ago? Sighing as he made a mental note to get his hair cut again, a smile flitted across his face as he heard the loud clamoring of the Weyrlings. Quietly snaking his hand down into his soft material bag, the Wingsecond scratched the large white cat that had stuck his head out when the loud noises had stopped.
/Sorry Styth. But I didn't feel like rowing my but down that freezing river in the early morning... I'll make it up to you like I always do. And plus... Scara is here with us./
A few seconds passed before a mummer of consent drifted into his mind from his dragon's.
/I expect a bath... and then we will sun bathe./
Laughing, the Weyrlingmaster promised his Brown that that is what they would do. As the doors started to open and the Weyrlings started to file quickly out of them, F'rah crossed his arms and reduced his laugh to a small grin. Not moving, the brown eyed man waited for the Weyrlings to find him and fully assemble. It would be at that time that the Weyrlingmaster would announce the plans for the day.

The shouting and ringing caused the young woman to nearly fly out of her bed in panic, it was to early in the morning for anything to be happening. But as her senses returned to normal, Saraina was able to pick up on the baritones of her guardian in chief. Growling unhappily as there was a clatter from her dragon's couch as Hokth was roused by some unseen force, the Blueweyrling swung her bare legs out of her warm furs and stretched. Quietly making her way over to the small cabinet that held her clothing, Sara quickly shrugged off her sleeping shirt and slipped on a new one. Coupling the tunic with black pants and boots, the tired black head pulled a cap over her hair after brushing it.
"HOKTH. Get up you lazy bum... You might not care about Styth's orders, but you better care about mine." Stalking over and grabbing hold of her Blue's tail, Sara ignored the yelp from the male as she dragged him halfway out of his couch.
/Ouch! MINE! Alright alright! I'm up.../
Watching as Hokth grumbled himself up onto his feet, the human Weyrling turned and stalked over to her door before wrenching it open. Waiting until her Blue exited the room, Saraina let the door slam shut before making her way over to F'rah. Snorting in the Weyrlingmaster's general direction, the young woman twitched as Hokth slapped his whip like tail on the ground in displeasure, causing a loud crack to sound forth.
---
/Wake up Mine. Its time to show my clutch-mates my glorious self./
Groaning quietly and flipping over, Gina berried her head into her pillow, not wanting to get up yet. She wasn't the sun and so there for it wasn't her duty to get up with the break of dawn. Shivering as her furs were tugged off and her flesh exposed to the cold morning air, Gina moaned before sitting up and rubbed the sleep from her eyes. /Come on lazy one. Up up.../
Slipping out of the fur covered bed as her large green threatened to drag her out herself, the young woman shivered once more before hauling her butt out of the coziness. Slowly making her way over to the cabinet and tugging open it's doors, Gina began to dress herself up in normal clothing. Grunting as she wrapped one of the many knitted scarves that occupied her room, the Greenweyrling opened her door for Dasmonth before exiting herself. Making her way over to Saraina and her blue, Gina nodded groggily at the Weyrlingmaster before rubbing her eyes again.

Sk'ler had been lying awake beneath his furs as the sun began to rise above the horizon. His mind still reeled at shock with Impressing Triniath, unable to grasp that he wasn't alone anymore. The junior weyrling had literally fallen from his bed as Weyrlingmaster F'rah had begun bellowing at the top of his lungs. "Why do we have to get up so early, Triniath?" The boy's hazel eyes strayed to the stirring hulk that was his beautiful Brown. "What good does it due anyway?" The dark chocolate colored Brown cocked his head to the left as he thought about his life-mate's answer.
//I don't know.//
As usual, the dragon's response was short, but it still held emotion, especially curiousity. Sk'ler jerked on some of his clothes, mumbling about how something must have gone wrong with F'rah to make him do such an early wake-up call. Triniath snorted as he heard the junior weyrling's thoughts about his new master.
//Be nice!//
Sk'ler paused in his sernade, unprepared for the force behind the dragonet's words. Heeding the Brown's small warning, Sk'ler escaped the confines of his room with Triniath staying at his side. Instead of going over to the nearby weyrlings, Sk'ler positioned himself at the farthest place away from the group, but where he could still be seen by F'rah. Triniath stood beside his Chosen, eyes a pale blue-green as he surveyed the nearby surroundings.
//Too many people are here.//
Yes, Trin, too many people.
//Triniath!!//

Blinking one amber eye open, then the other, Tokala groaned as he sat up on his bed, propping his body up with his arms. Ah, good... You are awake. Hurry and get dressed, we are needed for lessons and I don't think it would be a good idea to keep Styth and his rider waiting. "What are you talking about 'Leth?" Tokala asked, looking over at his wood brown dragon, tracing the odd swirling marks that ran over his hide like rings on a tree.
Mind voice sighing, Leweleth shook his head, but his eyes betrayed the fact that he wasn't actually annoyed, still swirling calm blue/green. Our teacher is calling us to lessons. If you listened, you would be able to hear him even now. With that voice from his calm partner, Tokala took that moment to listen, only then taking in that booming voice. "Shards!" He yelled, hopping out of his bed nearly head first to hurridly put on clothing as quickly as he could. "Come on Leweleth! We need to get out there!" He yelled, nearly dragging the brown out the door, jogging to join the other weyrlings already waiting there, dragging his hair back into a loose tail to keep it out of his face. "T'kal and Leweleth, ready!" He called to the Weyrlingmaster, looking around at all the other faces, trying to see if he could make them out.

It was far too early for either of their tastes. Calistoth and K'lir both woke with a start, though the latter simply rolled over and rejected the concept of waking at first. Was Rukbat even in the sky yet? So much noise. So much noise. K'lir snuggled into the furs and groaned, agitated. So much racket. The more he tried to block it out, the louder it seemed to become, before K'lir actually shot up to a sitting position, the mess of his red-brown hair splayed around his face. His eyes were off on the nearest wall, staring blankly ahead as if in disbelief as a horribly loud and echoing sound bounced through his mind: bells. Oh, Shards, he was going to shove that bell --- Ugh. Weyrling Lessons. Right. K'lir brought both hands to his face and rubbed his eyes before flopping back with a groan. He could hear movements through the barracks, but he honestly was not of the opinion that waking up so early was all that grand an idea. What did it gain aside from grouchiness? Groan, mumble, mutter..
No that Calistoth appreciated the rude awakening any more than he did. In fact, the little green turned and gave quite an indignant hiss toward the door before she tucked her head under one wing. It was too early. She was trying to sleep. Didn't they know that a beauty such as herself needed extra sleep? Oh, but waking up reminded her of how hungry she was, and she finally uncurled herself to look at the furs where Hers slept with a light trill. Well, fine. If she had to get up, she would, and she'd be the most beautiful of all the greens and Hers would be the most beautiful of all the twoleggeds, and they would garner plenty of awe-struck looks and no one would even notice that ugly Jeminorth and her ridiculous person at all.
But there was the project of waking Hers. He was awake, she knew, but why wasn't he moving? Oh, that lazy boy. Another croon escaped her and she flapped her wings, otherwise not reacting to Styth's words that reached her. Why wasn't her Lirmine moving?
Lirmine, you must wake. We have lessons, and we must be the most beautiful of all the dragons there. Please get up. Though her 'voice' sounded sweet, there was an underlying demand that essentially said that if she was not obeyed, K'lir would have to deal with a woman scorned. Unfortunately for him, said woman had claws, teeth, wings and enough strength to haul him around like a ragdoll if he tested her. And Calistoth had something of a temper. I want to talk to Elazrith, mine. Wake up!
"'M awake.. just... mff.. beautiful's for girls. You're beautiful, not me," K'lir mumbled as he rolled out of the furs, much to Calistoth's pleasure. She curled about and puffed out her chest, wings spreading regaling around her as much as they could which, given how young she was, was quite a bit. See how beautiful she was? Everyone should admire her. And hers wasn't looking. Oh, but that was okay because her Lirmine was getting dressed. She trilled and sat down, waiting patiently. K'lir, on the other hand, seemed not to notice the young green's behavior as he pulled on his clothes and brushed his hair back with his fingers. The reddish brown strands fell neater around his face, and K'lir picked the eye-snot out of the corner of his eyes before turning to look at her. "Good morning to you too... think I'd get in trouble for telling the Weyrlingmaster where he can stick that bell?"
Where he can stick the bell?
"Never mind. Let's go."
Though his words garnered obvious confusion from Calistoth, she followed K'lir quite contentedly, her head held high as though she were the most regal thing anyone could ever witness. K'lir continued rubbing his eyes, even as they walked, though a sharp glance from the green made him stop almost sheepishly. They approached the Weyrlingmaster and K'lir bowed his head, though when Calistoth went to turn to him, she actually tripped and fell. Squawking, she turned a sharp glare to the dragons who had assembled already, as well as their riders, as though daring any of them to question her. Then she righted herself into a laying position next to hers, watching the entrance with rapidly whirling eyes -- that horrible Jeminorth would come, and she'd be ready for her...
* * *
Bells? Roaring? Bellowing? Door knocking? None of it was enough to make much of a dent in K'ran's sleep, although the fifteen-turn-old did groan and pull his pillows up around his ears to try and drown out the sound. He was even less of a morning person than his older brother and often, K'ran was also better at not letting things wake him up. He had a peculiar talent for tuning things out and he used that to his advantage, putting the sound of the bell ringing out of his mind completely. Unfortunately for the dark-haired boy, the Weyrlingmaster and his brown were not the only thing that K'ran had to ignore, and the voice that resounded through his mind was far more difficult to put aside.
Ranmine, lessons, lessons! We have to get up! Excited was Elazrith. The Weyrlingmaster had succeeded in waking him and the bronze made no effort to fight being woken, even going so far as to spring to his haunches and flap his wings in his exuberance. His person may not want to get up, but he did, oh yes he did. Lessons were a chance for him to show how amazing he really was, plus he'd get a chance to talk to his clutchsiblings, and to his Ran's clutchbrother too, although... he wouldn't speak to him directly, no, Calistoth could tell him, he wouldn't want to offend her. Oh, why wasn't his moving? Exasperated, Elazrith bit the end of the furs and promptly pulled them off his bonded, throwing them to the side with startling ease. His claws tightened against the ground, his wings spreading at his sides as his eyes whirled odd rainbows. RANMINE!
Styth's words were lost on the little bronze, as his mental 'yelling' woke K'ran quite efficiently. The boy sprung upward, fell off of his cot with an audible thunk, and actually squirmed around in the floor. It was then that K'ran heard the ringing of the bell and distant, foggy yelling, followed by a loud knock that made him jump back into Elazrith. Maris and Chipper both squawked their protest from their spot on the end of the bed, clearly displeased by all the racket, but K'ran was oblivious. His eyes widened to approximately the size of saucers, as if he hadn't expected that.
"Uhhh?" We have lessons. "Oh, right. Why's he banging?" To wake up the lazies like you. Time to go to lessons. "Oookay...."
Dazed, K'ran rose to his feet and stripped off his sleep pants before wandering around his room to dress. His bronze stretched while he waited, clearly pleased that his lifemate had, at last, gotten up. But looks were deceiving. While K'ran was up and moving around, it was much the way one might in their sleep, and he didn't make any effort to disguise that he was dead on his feet. Once he was dressed, he brushed his hair and stumbled lazily out of the room, with Elazrith hot on his heels. He wandered up to K'lir and leaned against him, giving the Weyrlingmaster a light nod before closing his eyes. Couldn't he sleep...?
Get up!
K'ran jumped and then stood properly at attention, giving Elazrith a pitiful look. The bronze ignored him, instead looking up at the Weyrlingmaster in excitement. Lessons were fun! He was going to make sure that all of his clutchsiblings knew that he was the very best, yes he would. If only his person would stay awake...

A petite wedge head in the hue of a soft powder blue lifted from the stone couch and revealed softly whirling eyes turned towards the creature’s bonded, a softly snoring young man who was draped over his tail and leg in a mildly uncomfortable manner. Though the blue green of the many faceted eyes revealed a small amount of pain at the position, the dragonet did not move his body but instead began to closely inspect the face of G’eon with an innocent, childlike quality that was not often found in dragons. G’eon? His mind voice probed the sleeping consciousness of G’eon, who grumbled a response but rolled over as Ellath had hoped, rolling off the leg and tail which he tucked up to his body to prevent them from being used as pillows again. When I grow bigger it will not matter if you sleep on me. The blue dragon continued to speak to his rider, thoughtless of the fact that G’eon was sleeping and thinking only that he had something to say and his Impressed should be paying attention to him.
“Goodferyouluv.” Came a mumbled reply followed closely by a deep yawn. Snuggling against the furs, G’eon reached out with one hand and patted reassuringly on Ellath’s hide, not willing to actually lift his head to acknowledge his dragon’s musings. He wasn’t given much of an option, however, for shortly thereafter came the announcement of the impending lesson and the resulting need for them all to get up. “Rawwr!” G’eon groaned in protest, struggling to force himself out of the bed. I am already awake. Ellath informed his future rider as if G’eon hadn’t noticed this factor already, which earned the blue a long, even look from G’eon. “Really, cause I hadn’t noticed.” Shaking his head and now fully awake, G’eon scratched Ellath’s eyeridge affectionately and began moving off the bed and towards his clothing.
Soon after the pair was headed along a corridor, arriving in a room with already assembling Weyrlings, some still yawning and fighting off sleep. G’eon didn’t blame them but bit back a yawn himself. He took a seat, expecting his dragon to join him but looked around in surprise when the dragonet was instead inspecting those who’d already arrived. Good morning Calistoth Ellath said as he passed her, greeting the other dragons in turn as he moved by. He was by no means the largest dragon of the clutch but G’eon thought that he was easily one of, if not the, best looking. Taking his place next to his bonded, Elalth’s head bumped into G’eon as he sought some attention in the form of scratching.

While Amith had quite contentedly fallen asleep promptly after reaching the Weyrling Barracks, Lennae had found herself unable to do the same. She was very happy to simply spend half the night gazing upon the green that was now hers, just as much as she was Amith's. The young woman studied every contour, each inch of the weyrling's hide, every possible way that the pale light of the moon hit her hide, committing each bit of it to memory. Just in case this was merely a dream, Lennae wanted to be certain that she forgot none if it, for this was surely the best dream that anyone could have. Meanwhile, Amith snored on, distended belly rising and falling rhythmically with each breath she took. Lennae smiled at the sheer peacefulness of her before stifling a yawn. Unhappily, she glanced from her cot to the couch on which Amith slept, hardly able to bear being so far apart. With a sigh, Lennae gave up and mere curled up next to the hatchling on the hard stone. While the green would soon be to large to do this with, for now she would take advantage of it every moment that she had. Happy, she drifted off to sleep.
A dull ringing echoed in her ears as she started awake. There had been shouting and bell-ringing and all manner of loud noises. She smacked at her forehead and nearly fell backward as it hit her. Weyrling lessons. Hardly a day out of the shell and already they had begun. She glanced toward Amith, and snorted when she saw that somehow the little green had managed to sleep through the racket. Not for long though it seemed. The hatchling started awake at Styth's roar, managing to tumble off of the couch and onto the floor in her surprise. Thankfully the fall was not far, and though Lennae fussed, she was soon convinced that her other half was fine when Amith seemed more concerned with getting to F'rah than with the possible damage that her tail might have suffered. Lennae too was fearing punishment and so it was only a few minutes before the pair rushed from their room, following the crowd of other sleepy-eyed weyrlings to where F'rah had to be.
They reached it without difficulty, and as others continued to gather, she hung back, looking for a familiar face. Amith too, seemed to wish not to attract too much attention. Perhaps she was merely still shy from being the last egg to hatch, which meant that everyone had been watching her. Unconsciously, she reached down to place a comforting hand on the green's hide. Amith leaned into it gleefully. Scratch! The demand was simple and Lennae complied without complaint, knowing that it would be much easier to fulfill the hatchling's request instead of ignoring it. While Amith grew oblivious to her surroundings, Lennae was alert for F'rah's next words, which would dictate what the rest of her day, and the rest of most of her days would look like.

She had been sleeping so soundly, the sounds of her old choir ringing through her head with a melodic tune. It was something new, something the Master Harper had just revealed for his special class of singers to start working on for the Selenitas Hatching. But she was already at Selenitas, she knew it. She could hear something in her ear other than the music, what was it? It wouldn't be quiet and kept pestering her.
Rilla, Rilla mine. Rilla! Wake up! We need to get to lessons or we will be punished. I don't want to be punished! Rilla mine? What is punished?
Starting herself straight out of bed shew as on her toes and throwing on whatever clothing she could find around her. She tried to put on sandels at first but then realized that they would probably be doing something riggorous and instead slipped into her boots....shortly before realizing that she actually had to put on pants FIRST then the boots. She really was not awake enough for this. If it was not for the cheery warbles of her dragonet Alayith Rilliana would have more then likely just slept most of the day away in her candidates barrack and forgotten about the world. But now she had a reason to meet people and actually make friends with them since she knew she would be staying.
((to Dasmonth))
On the way out of the barracks Alayith noticed a rather beautifully strutting green and wandered over to say hello to her clutchmate.
Hello Clutchmine, you are very beautiful, how are you doing? Me and my rider are well, though I think she would have prefered to stay in bed for a while longer. Do you think this will be hard?

Up Mine. Come now, you can't sleep all day! Lessons, we have to learn and... Miiiiine! Thoth nudged his nose at Beka's arm, though the girl merely rolled over, swatting at him. When the yelling and the roaring followed, Beka woke with a start, before groaning softly. Why was His taking so long? This was ridiculous, she didn't need this much time to wake up, Thoth wasn't at all happy about the rude awakening, but he could deal with it. Besides, he was hungry. Grasping the furs in his teeth, the Blue jerked them back with a soft trill.
"Alright! Alright, I'm up!" Beka mumbled as Anai hissed at her as well, tugging on her ear. Yawning as she sat up the Weyrling sent a half-glare at her Blue, unable to help herself smiling as he settled, tail curling about him like a feline. Dressing was easy, and since Beka's hair was shorter than alot of girls, it didn't take long to comb. Anai refused to get up though, and she had to laugh as the Green cuddled up to her toy. Come on Mine. We don't need to be late. I think that would look rather bad.
Grumbling as she walked, Thoth trotted beside her happily, occasionally leaning against her gently. He said nothing for a long time, snorting softly as he spotted Calistoth, moving over as his prodded him that way. "Hello Li- K'lir. Calistoth looks stunning, how are you?" Words were softly spoken as Thoth trilled a soft greeting to Calistoth.
~*~
Oh for- Go away! Miiine! I'm sleeping. Go away! Jeminorth muttered as Hers poked her again, flicking her tail at her, until Hers sighed and poked her again. I'll leave without you! Jeminorth! Get up please. Rielana liked being woken up as much as she liekd having to wake Jeminorth, but that didn't mean they could miss the lesson.
Her bad mood was gone, the moment Jeminorth sat up, looking rather worried as she hopped off the couch, moving to nuzzle Hers with a soft, babyish trill, nuzzling her gently. You wouldn't leave me Mine. Assured that she wouldn't, Jeminorth then stretched, showing her teeth as she seemed to yawn. Rielana merely laughed, placing her hands on her hips as she watched her Green. She was beautiful, the best, more than Rielana could ever hope for. With Jeminorth, no one could ever ignore her again. Another laugh as Fiel woke, stretching slightly, giving a cheep of sadness as Rielana told him to stay put. "I'll be back later sweetie."
Already happy and laughing, Rielana didn't seem to be affected by the earliness of the morning, giving a bright chirpy hello to anyone that came close enough. Had Jeminorth not been muttering about not wanting to go, then it would have been perfect. Oh well, hand reached down to touch her Bonded's head as they reached the others, the girl shooting a glare at the Bonded of the other Green. Knowing him, he'd let her attack Jeminorth, and while Rielana would hold, Jeminorth back, he'd egg her on. Well, she wasn't going to let her Green get hurt. Don't pay any attention to her love. If she's going to be mean, don't pay attention.
~*~
Mine, this is silly. Just get up, and lets go. Soothing and patient, Ith didn't seem to be in any hurry at all, merely reaching out to nudge Hers gently before making her way to the door. RelignaHers was awake, yes she knew that, but what she didn't know was why RelingaHers wasn't moving. Sending another prod, Ith was pleased to see Hers finally get up.
That Weyrling master is mean. It's Dawn! Religna muttered as she walked beside Ith, yawning and rubbing her eyes. She'd merely tied her hair back in a low runner-tail, instead of truely getting it out of the way, and already a few wispy strands had fallen around her face. I'm sure there is a reason. No need to get worked up about it.

Alright, Mine. Up. It is time for you to get up, so we can go to the Weyrling Lessons.[/color] A small blue looked towards his lifemate, his eyes whirling pleasantly as the young man rolled from his stomach to his back. J’rew watched Krikith somewhat disgustedly, however fondly, and blinked as if trying to digest what his dragon had just said. Please tell me you did not wake me up so that we could go to a weyrling lesson. Aren’t they not supposed to be…until noon? Of course not. J’rew knew very well that the lessons traditionally started at dawn, and he was normally up early, anyways. Just not…this early.
Glaring playfully at the blue, the weyrling rolled off of his cot, laying a loving hand on his dragon. Shells. It was simply so amazing, and J’rew just couldn’t grasp the fact that he had Impressed such a wonderful creature. Min— I know, I know, love. I’m getting ready. And, just as quickly as he had woken, the Weyrling had finished dressing and was getting ready to go.
You coming? he asked playfully as Krikith came beside him, receiving a small, immature snort, but no reply.
Soon they were both joining the ring of weyrlings that had arrived around the Weyrling Master. Sighing, both eager to start the lesson – so, of course, they could catch up on their sleep! – Krikith and J’rew watched F’rah intently. Would it ever begin?
((Ugh. I think my muse left me…I’ll try and get it back. D: ))

Twenty-three of the twenty-six Weyrlings had arrived, and that was good enough for the Weyrlingmaster, the others could just show up late to the lesson and face the embaressment. Letting his gaze switch to each of their faces, from those who were eager to those who now disliked him for waking them up at day break, F'rah cleared his throat before raising a hand.
"Good morning my students. I hope the rather loud awakening was enough to get you all up... I always wake my students like that on their first day of training. A sort of a… tradition and initiation, if you will. You can ask any of your seniors and they'll tell you the same thing." Pausing to let the nerve induced shifting stop, the wingsecond continued speaking. "Onto business. I assume and hope you all know who I am... if you don't I am the man who is going to be your teacher and mentor for the next year and a half. I am Weyrlingmaster F'rah of Brown Styth." Running a hand through his hair at the thought of teaching again, the Weyrlingmaster's smile grew a bit wider.
Nodding before uncrossing his arms, F'rah bit the tip of his thumb before continuing. "If you please, I'd like everyone to make their way to the lesson room! Follow me! The late ones will find their own way." Pushing himself off of the stone wall, the Weyrlingmaster squeezed his way through the circle that had formed around him. It the large group only a few seconds to reach the large room that would be their homes for a good part of all of their days. Twisting the brass handle, the Weyrlingmaster swung the wooden door open and surged happily into the room. Depositing the contents of his leather messenger bag onto the large desk, F'rah straightened a few of his files and books before looking up at the rest of the class.
"Come on come on. Pick any desk you want. I don't have a seating chart, but I will move you around if I feel it is necessary! Quickly kids... er young adults... I want us to get started with the day. I'm sure the Dragons are wanting to be fed, so the sooner we start the sooner we all can satisfy our needs."

Grumbling something about F'rah being way to perky for so early in the morning, Saraina felt like sliding down the wall she was leaning on. Ever since she had moved to the Weyr, the woman had gotten so used to sleeping in that it no longer felt natural to wake up with the sun. It was actually annoying that she couldn't shake the sleep from her body, and it didn't help that Hokth was feeling the same way. /I'm going to bite that man SaraMina.../ Jumping awake slightly as her blue entered her mind, Saraina yawned before replying to her young male. "No. No biting F'rah... He was the one that gave me to you. Be thankful... but you can not like him today." /But Mine... fine.../
Jumping again as Hokth made a loud annoyed crack as his whip like tail hit the ground, the young woman rubbed the sleep from her eyes. "I'm going to have to get used to that noise." Grunting as F'rah began to speak again, Saraina was the first to follow her guardian down the hall. Moving between the desks, the Blueweyrling pair had a traditional argument over where to sit before settling for the third row by the window. Resting her forehead on the desk and closing her eyes, Sara sighed heartily before yawning.
---
Stretching her arms to the sky as she waited for the others to come, Gina yawned loudly before scratching the back of her neck. Giving a small smile to everyone as they came, the Greenweyrling tried not to notice her dragon as she puffed herself up like she was royal. Dasmonth continued to insist that she was a Queen, and no matter how many times Gina told her that she was in fact a Green, the young female would not accept the reasoning. Her yellowish colored hide, her height and her length were enough to keep the Green convinced she was a Gold.
Pinching the bridge of her nose as Dasmonth began to talk about the other Weyrling pairs as they arrived, Gina tried to cut the green out of her mind, if only to save her sanity. Looking up from the headache on legs, the pitch haired woman smiled at Rilliana as she approached with her female. She could kiss the smaller green for distracting Dasmonth from her criticism. "Hello."
==
Swinging her angled head toward the Green female who had spoken to her, Dasmonth let her swirling blue/green eyes take in her coloration and form. Puffing up happily as her clutchmate announced that the green thought she was beautiful, the would-be-Queen responded with a small turn of her nose.
/Of course I am beautiful, there isn't a Queen who isn't. I am well, and no. The first day is easy, simple things and the like./ Not telling the green that her Mine knew about some of the lesson plans, Dasmonth let her sister ponder her knowledge. /I am Dasmonth, and my Mine is Gina./
--
Looking away from the girl as the Weyrlingmaster began to speak, Gina quietly fingered the end of her scarf before returning to Rilliana. "Anyways I'm Gina of Green Dasmonth. Though acroding to her she thinks she's a Queen." Pausing to tell her young female that it was time to go to the classroom, the knitting empress continued to speak. "Um. So would you like to sit together in class? Dasmonth seems to like your female."

Calistoth's eagerness to tear Jeminorth to shreds was slightly dampered by a blue speaking to her and she swiveled her head around before crooning to him approvingly. Her wings were stretched and fluttered prettily, as if to emphasize that she was the most wonderful dragon there. She was pleased that Ellath did not greet any of the other dragons, so much so that she gave him a sweet, dainty croon following her greeting, and there could be no denying that the sound held a hint of affection. Her wings folded at her side, and she watched the blue intensely, her tail curling around her. The entire position in which she sat looked moderately practiced and was obviously intended to be lady-like. Look at how pretty she was!
Hello, Ellath, she greeted sweetly, looking back up at K'lir. Her next words were for him, privately, Did you see, mine? Ellath greeted me and me alone. Don't you see? Your Calistoth is the most beautiful of all the dragons on Pern. Even Ellath thinks so.
Her words were cut off as Thoth and his approached, and the green watched Beka with the look of a hawk. The compliment was noted, but she did not immediately thank her, instead analyzing the bluerider with an intensity that could burn. She was talking to her Lirmine. She wasn't sure how she felt about that, so instead, Calistoth swiveled her head around to catch sight of Jeminorth, her eyes whirling scarlet. But a mental voice held her back - her bonded's. You are the most beautiful. Stop looking at her. She's not worth your time and I don't want us to get in trouble for them. She snorted, then turned back to Thoth and Beka, as if trying to decide what she actually thought of them.
"Thank you. Thoth looks well this morning. I hope you both slept well?" He was being overly formal, mostly to compliment how hostile Calistoth was coming across. No matter how much he tried to calm her mentally, she was growing steadily more irritated. Didn't she know she couldn't completely have him to herself? She thought she should.
Elazrith seemed to drag Calistoth's attention away at last, and the green actually moved to flop down right against the bronze, crooning her affection. K'lir gave her a curious look before glaring at his brother, who did not respond to the look. "It's too sharding early to be awake," he mumbled under his breath, the words meant mostly for Beka. "Calistoth had to wake me up. I didn't actually want to move. Why must lessons always take place in the morning? Candidate lessons did too. It's ridiculous - oh."
F'rah was speaking. K'lir promptly shut up, and glanced at Calistoth before following F'rah into the lessons room. Desks... right. He immediately headed toward one in the back before an indignant look from Calistoth made him stop. The two glared at each other.
The front, mine. I want to be noticed! The back. I don't! Front! Back! FRONT! The middle and that is my final offer. Fine! Elazrith, sit next to us!
It was not a request. If she couldn't sit near the front, she'd have herself a bronze at her side! No one could deny her that! Lifting her head, she snorted and moved gracefully (or as gracefully as she could) across the room before settling smack dab in the middle. K'lir mumbled, but he followed nonetheless, moving over next to his agitated green who was noticeably ignoring Jeminorth's presence. (Which, really, translated to her obvious annoyance manifesting as her deliberately looking away and trying to make it obvious that she was snubbing the other green.)
* * *
Groaning, K'ran looked over and crinkled his nose before nodding to F'rah. Unlike K'lir, he was still waking up, and he used that time to rub his eyes and stretch, trying to function better. Lessons were important, so he needed to be fully awake, right? Unfortunately, multitasking wasn't his strong point, so K'ran spent the entire time F'rah spoke rubbing his upper arms and stretching his legs, then twisting at the hip and stretching moe, as though he were trying to bend all of his body to his will. By the time the Weyrlingmaster moved off, he actually looked up and jumped, not knowing what the instructions were, and an almost panicked look flared over his face before his bronze bit the side of his sleeve carefully. Then Elazrith led him off in the direction of the lessons room.
You must learn to listen, Ran. We are being instructed to come here. Calistoth wishes us to sit next to her and your Hers, the bronze explained, releasing K'ran only after they arrived in the room. The excited bronze bounded across the room before snatching the seat next to Calistoth, giving her an approving croon. Her demand annoyed him... a little... but he liked the idea of getting to sit next to such a pretty green, and Hers was his Ran's clutchsibling, wasn't he? So... Sit here, K'ranmine, and make sure to listen. I can't always listen for you. We've got to make sure that we pay attention or we might fall behind and that would be dreadful.
Dreadful. K'ran mumbled and moved over to the desk that he was offered before nodding to his brother, who gave him another look. "What? You keep glarin' at me.. I didn't do anything..."
You do keep falling asleep. Well not everyone's a morning person like you! He does not appear to be either, but he is awake. He's probably busy plotting the Weyrlingmaster's demise or something... Or Jeminorth's...

Cezine had been up and about before they had been summoned for the lesson. But she seemed awful draggy, and longed for her comfy cot. Even Brennath was still deeply asleep, which may have had something to do with the weyrling's tiredness. But when she heard the call for the lesson, against her normally good judgement, Cezine sat down on her cot. It would be a bit before the other weyrlings were ready and up... so surely a few minutes' rest wouldn't hurt.
Suddenly Brennath was butting her knees, her voice all but gibbering in Cezine's mind. Mine, Mine, you have to wake up, please get up Mine!! They've left without us! Wait, they what?! Cezine jumped to her feet, suddenly wide awake. When had she fallen asleep?! How?? But she stopped herself, for that didn't even matter. What mattered was that they catch up. "Come on Brennath!" The green needed no urging, shuffling quickly after Hers as they made their way after the rest of the weyrlings. They had already gone to the teaching room, and Cezine hurried as quickly as she could without leaving her Brennath behind.
Slowly, the two of them crept into the room, Cezine sliding into the nearest available seat with minimal fuss. She still couldn't believe she'd fallen asleep again...
C'lryn was having similar troubles, but woke from them none so nicely. Minoath all but pounced on him, effectively knocking the weyrling's wind from him. Groaning quietly, the young man almost rolled over, only to be bitten on the nose. You have to get up! All the weyrlings have left without us and we're very, very late! Oh, he was not a happy little bronze, no. He'd been trying ever since the call to rouse His, and getting more and more frustrated. Plus, he was hungry, starving, and wanted to be fed. If he'd known that His slept like boulder, maybe he would have had second thoughts.
But his worse sufficiently roused C'lryn, if not quickly, and he stumbled about pulling on clothes without regard for what they actually were or if they even matched. But Minoath didn't care, so long as they were no later to the lesson than they could help. He literally butted a mumbling C'lryn all the way to the lesson room, where he took the nearest open seat for reasons very different from Cezine's. Obviously, he was not a morning person.

Why are we having to do this again, Mine? The brown yawned at his bonded as they followed the candidate master into a room not far from where they originally were, gesturing for them all to come in and take a seat. Yawning himself, T'kal shook strands of his red hair from his face and simply slumped into a chair not too far from the front, yet not too far from the back either, eyes half closed and hand rubbing along the neck of Leweleth.
The brown was craning his head all around, looking at all the dragons that had been at his Hatching alongside him. He noticed that they were sitting close to a rather lovely green, and a bronze on the other side of her. Snorting slightly at this, he shied away from even looking at his larger bronze brother and focused solely on the green. Hello Sister, my name is Leweleth and Mine's is T'kal. Who are you?
