Yiminth lidded his eyes leisurely, finding her warm weight comforting. We should. Mine likes to swim a lot too. But not right before dark. He thinks it too cold. I don’t like the cold, but it doesn’t get cold a lot. He was babbling a bit, but he was tired and he was almost dozing off. He was feeling very comfortable, even though he was on the stone floor. He was the type of dragon that fell asleep easily and he was currently having trouble staying awake especially since his eyes were closed.
He made himself stay awake, though, so that he could comfort her. He didn’t want her or Hers to feel uncomfortable. Her small noise made him open his eyes again, crooning gently to her. It’s okay. I don’t think that they’re going to Fly. Mine wants to, but Yours doesn’t. I think Mine told her that it was okay. They’re all better now. He crooned to her again, moving so that he could cover her with one of his wings, tightening his tail around her in a semi-hug. He hated it when those around him were distressed. Leave Hers alone! he ordered R’lor. Already done.
When she insisted that Raiyth came first, he nodded. “I understand, I would do the same for Yiminth.” He was disappointed, of course. But the thought of hurting a dragon immediately pulled him out of his randy mood. He couldn’t imagine harming another’s lifemate, it was just wrong. His Yiminth made be old enough to understand it all, but the green was still young and, if he understood properly, distressed at the situation. There would be time for such things when dragons wouldn’t be harmed.
At her little consolation prize, R’lor grinned rakishly. Finishing his scroll, he looked over at her, seeing the firm resolve on her face. She really was quite pretty and well worth the wait. “I’ll look forward to that,” he joked weakly. Sighing, he brushed his lips against hers lightly. “Raiyth’s in my room with Yiminth. You want to come with me back up there? I think her and Yiminth have made themselves quite comfortable.” He made sure that his words held no implications. Despite the randy teenager he was, he knew when he needed to respect her wishes.

His babbling was strangely soothing, mostly because it distracted Raiyth from the rapidly fading problem of her bonded's distress. Yiminth seemed very comfortable, and he had dropped the lids of his eyes. Raiyth rested more easily against him, noting that Ego had curled up between her wings and was going to sleep himself, fully content with the world. Mine would like that a lot. But not right before dark, no. In the day when the sun is out so it is warm and comfortable and cozy and bright. she added thoughtfully, draping her neck lazily across his for a suitable pillow. Ohh, but he was warm! FiHers was a good cuddler, but other dragons were the best, she decided.
The wing placed over her made her feel secure, and she cooed lightly, eyes half-lidded peacefully now that Fiona had sufficiently calmed. The girl was still thinking too much, but her lack of unease had Raiyth relaxed and ready to continue her nap. I know. I am sorry for Yours not getting to Fly, but Mine was too upset. She says she will Fly later, but I hope she waits a long, long time. It is scary when she is upset like that. Raiyth confessed, squirming a little closer to the warm comfort he was offering. Such a nice weyrling to cuddle with her like this!
R'lor seemed to understand, and Fiona breathed out a sigh of relief that he was not angry with her. Some men would be, but he seemed to be taking it in stride. Perhaps because his dragon was still a weyrling too, he understood that the dragons came first, above all other things. She just could not do anything to hurt Raiyth, no matter how much she wanted to pounce the delectably seductive boy sitting in that chair. And, in time, Raiyth would learn to like this sort of thing. But, that could wait. She loved her darling green as the sweet little thing she currently was.
His grin made her flush a little as she set aside her finished work, and she gave him a shy sort of smile, her dark eyes sparkling. His weak attempt at humor had her concerned, and she immediately turned to stroke a hand soothingly along his arm. His kiss disarmed her, and she made a soft noise against his lips before reluctantly parting. Her attention returned to cleaning up her copying supplies, and she carefully set aside the finished copies to dry. "They have. I think Raiyth wants to use him as a pillow," she confessed, smiling tenderly at the thought of her oh-so-lovely mindmate. How she loved that creature! "Raiyth says we all need to go swimming sometime when they're awake."

Yiminth crooned gently at her as she draped her neck across his own. She was such a sweet little green. If His chased Hers off and then Raiyth didn’t come here anymore, he would be very upset. She was very comfortable and he liked her. His should be smart and make sure that Hers was okay. Yes, I agree. Warm is fun, Yiminth murmured back, still having issues keeping consciousness with the press of her against him and the warmth of the stone underneath him.
The brown was happy to hear that Hers was calming down. Mine isn’t upset. His mind isn’t upset. He understands I think. Yiminth wasn’t exactly sure, but His didn’t seem to be angry or sad. He felt vaguely disappointed, but that was it. I think maybe Mine and Yours might be coming up here. Maybe they’ll sleep too. If you and I are comfortable, they’ll get comfortable too instead of Flying. That was His’ idea.
Fiona’s little noise was frustrating for him, but he shook it off. He wasn’t going to push her if her dragon wasn’t ready. He knew the importance of keeping your bonded’s mind whole and he wouldn’t try and harm someone else’s dragon’s mind. “We will have to go swimming.” He laughed gently, “My dragon loves to swim, I suppose this was his idea.” Yiminth was always trying to drag R’lor out to the river, telling him that swimming was good for his wound. The brownrider supposed that it was try and since he couldn’t fly, swimming was the next best option, but still, the brown was rather relentless.
Sighing, he snagged Fiona around the waist. “Come on, let’s go up to my room. No Flying as Yiminth so nicely puts it. If our dragons can curl up for a nap, so can we.” He released her waist, not wanting to seem like he was trying to seduce her again. He knew better than that and his manners weren’t that poor. He smiled invitingly, hoping that she would agree. Cuddling with his dragon and left him fond of curling up with someone when he slept.

The brown was so comfortable that he sounded almost sleepy, and Raiyth cooed gently at him to reassure him that it was quite all right if he fell asleep. She was tempted to. He was a comfortable bed and pillow, and he was graciously allowing her clumsy self near. The fact that Hers was calming, regaining some sense of mental equilibrium put her at ease even more, and she lounged very happily. Hers was not upset, His was not upset. They, the bondeds, were quite comfortable. She saw no problems with any of this, and she even went so far as to close the lids over her compound eyes in her comfort.
I think Mine will like that. She likes to cuddle and sleep. She sleeps with me sometimes. Raiyth commented drowsily, quivering her wings and then settling them down again as she gave a gusty sigh. How comfortable he was! Thank you for being a good couch. She crooned softly and wrapped her tail around herself, starting to drift off to sleep.
Sensing Raiyth's relaxation made Fiona smile, and R'lor's gentle laughter was reassuring. He was not angry, and he would not push the issue. She giggled a bit at R'lor expression. "I think so, but we'll let Raiyth think it was her idea for now. She likes sleeping beside him," the weyrling confessed, her expression softened at the thought of her beloved mindmate. "She likes him. He hasn't shooed her off."
His arm around her waist surprised her, and she stiffened initially and then draped herself against his side. Fiona had always been a physically affectionate person, so she curled her arms around the nearer of his, leaning her head on his shoulder. He released her waist, but she stayed in physical contact, liking the warmth he offered. At his suggestion, she turned her dark eyes up to him, smiling and nodding enthusiastically. "Mmm... nap sounds really good. I'm kinda tired after being bored all afternoon," she said thoughtfully, tugging lightly on his arm. "I'm okay with some snuggling." Ohh, she was more than okay with snuggles. Just not... Flying.

Yiminth noticed the lidding of his companion’s eyes and he rumbled softly, almost inaudibly. The near-silent shaking of his body was the only indication really of his sound. He nuzzled Raiyth gently before allowing the sleep haze to cover him a bit more. Mine sleeps with me every night. I make him, he murmured, his mindvoice soft. After she sighed, he let the last of his lids droop over his eyes completely, Anytime Raiythfriend. He liked this green. Of course, he liked anyone who would curl up with him. He just liked her a bit more because she was more interesting than many of the other greens he’d talked to.
The calmness of the room coming over him, he finally drifted off to sleep, unconsciously tightening his hold on Raiyth just a bit.
R’lor laughed at Fiona’s comment, “I suppose that she likes to have things her way?” He knew that Yiminth was a very easygoing dragon. He was amicable and willing to go along with just about any idea he had, but he was rather insistent when it came to swimming. It was even worse now that he couldn’t fly due to his wound. Sure, he was only supposed to be out of the skies for two sevendays and that period of time was almost over, but everyday since the Flight, he’d tried to get His to go to the river with him. R’lor thought it was cute, or at least the first day. The next few days, it just began to get irritating.
When she relaxed into his hold, he was a bit surprised. R’lor had expected her to flinch away or pull away, not wanting to encourage him by the contact. When she still clung to him when he dropped his arm away, he re-wrapped his arm around her, pulling her a bit closer. “I thought I helped the boredom a little bit…” he pouted, pushing out his bottom lip a little bit and giving her a pair of puppy dog eyes. He began to steer her out of the door and to his room, happy that she agreed to come along.
At her next suggestion, he grinned happily. Snuggling was definitely a good idea. “I agree with that. No Flying though,” he added, waggling his finger at her jokingly. He was still for the Flying thing, or at least his body was, but he knew better than to push his limits. He liked his reputation as a good guy.
