Corth crooned longingly to Kmarath as she slowed greatly, the wind brushing against her wings as she began her fall. However, the green slipped past the bronze, himself...and into Sitath's wings. Defeated, the brown let out a small warble, before diving calmly back to the ground.
He had been headed towards his weyr, but upon remembering that he had a weyrmate, Corth paused. That was probably a dangerous place to go, after all. Why had he done that? Why?!?! Another warble escaped him, this time much more confused, and even more depressed. Switching his course, he touched the ground at the river, and curled up.

I'ir was depressed, as well, at the loss of the glorious, glowing Kmarath, until the lust faded. At that point, he swept his gaze across the room, his jaw dropped dramatically, and he practically sprinted out.
CORTH! His mindvoice was infuriated, and I'ir was so thoroughly angry that the brown immediately decided he would not answer. What influenced you?!?! Why, for the love of little green dragons, did you choose to chase after Kmarath?! I thought you loved Anemith!!! Do you know how pissed both Anemith and Lura will be?!?! Oh, no, the brown rider was not happy.
And, worst of all, he got no answer.
For Corth loved Anemith. He really did. And he truly was a sweet dragon...but he was restless. Before Anemith and Lura, either he and His had been together, flying everywhere on Pern. If not, then I'ir was in the infirmary, and Corth had been allowed to curl up on his ledge and sleep out in the sun, or go and occasionally flirt...however much it annoyed his rider.
Taking a deep breath, I'ir closed his eyes extremely tight, and bit his lip. Finally, the brown rider released it, opening his eyes and wincing slightly, before attempting a smile. Well...at least you didn't win."
