Erilena looked out across the weyrbowl in slight awe. They had arrived only a day prior and everything she had ever known was all turned upside down. Well almost everything. Some things were still the same. She still had Dmitri, their baby, Feyrianth... But the home she had known for years had been completely destroyed and this new weyr was different. Positively massive and easy to get lost in. It made her feel oh so very small currently. Though her belly made her feel as big as a house. And she was all baby too. The greenrider wasn’t sure if it was the fact that she was so small or something else that made her look further along then she was. But Dmitri was big. So maybe his daughter was going to be too? Amazon or not Erilena already adored her. As if in response she felt a small kick in her abdomen, smiling brightly her hand almost absently rested on that spot. Her baby. Their baby. That fact made her happier then she ever had been in her life. Well not counting her impression of Feyrianth. But it sure ranked up there.
Hazel eyes drifted to where her dragon was. The four winged female was examining the glassy surface of the cavern lake as if it was going to eat her. One forepaw darted carefully out as she pawed just inches from the surface of the water and crooned softly. I have my own dragon sized bathing pool look. It does not look as warm as your pool though. Feyrianth commented excitedly. But at least Dancer will not have to go as far to bathe me now? Erilena giggled at her dragon. “I’m sure that will make him very happy.” Anything that cut down on any flying time was bound to put Dmitri at ease. He loved Feyrianth true, but flying still almost gave him panic attacks. Moving closer to the green the rider looked up at the domed ceiling of the mountain weyr and then let her eyes play over the ledges ringing the weyrbowl, looking for a glimpse of familiar hide. She had heard they were here. Her old friends and her adoptive brother. But she wanted to see it with her own eyes.
It had been so long since she had seen any of them. A huge part of Erilena was longing for just one glimpse of any of them. Another part of her was a bit scared at how they would react to her. Two turns was a long time apart. Had she changed in those two turns? Her life certainly had changed. A lot.
Feyrianth swiveled her head to croon softly to hers. Silly thoughts my love. You are still Erilenamine. They will know you and love you as they always have. Smiling at her dragon the greenrider simply nodded and glanced around to look for Harper. The puppy was her near constant companion when Dmitri wasn’t around. He was a bit of a handful at times though. Especially now when she was a little over five months pregnant. Right now the black and white puppy was few feet off his little tail wagging and tongue lolling out of his mouth as he rested from the oh so looooooong walk they had just taken. Which really wasn’t all that far at all. But Erilena supposed with his tiny legs it felt like a marathon. She'd probably have to carry him back. At least he’d be tired?

Nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition!
K'sel was in the process of interrogating everyone he came across as he hunted - yes hunted - for familiar faces. Accustomed he was not to failure in this regard, for old habits died hard, and failure in the two turns that had passed usually meant an empty stomach. He had to consciously remind himself that firstly it was not a dinner he was pursuing, and secondly that coming up short would not be the death of him... so for the sake of all things good and green, he should stop grabbing innocents by the collar and demanding the whereabouts of a certain creche worker and a blonde haired dragonrider. The operative word being "should".
"Ok, well we've established that you're a moron, let's see if you're blind too..." the Selenitas transplant was quaking as he found himself cornered by an unusually aggressive Hobo King, "Have you at least seen a skinny little blonde girl? Potentially with a green dragon..." he neglected to mention the dual set of wings, the anomaly was so everyday and normal to he and Pettahth that it was truly a non-subject, "Erilena. Errrr illlll lennnn ahhhh...." he drew out the name nice and slow as he questioned the intelligence of the boy before him. Before the kid could even return him with another head shake, Pettahth thankfully cut in with the good news, taunting even, Mine... finders keepers... A quote that resulted in the immediate dismissal of K'sel's interviewee.
The brown had taken the arrival of the foreigners as a chance to stretch his wings, taking pride in a leisurely go around the perimeter of the weyr and readjusting his eyes to the sight of hides whose identity was lost instead to the vague notion of nostalgia. Few dragons struck his mind as familiar, but then it didn't help any that his bonded held on to a rare few as important. Reintroductions were in order for many, but there was among these new comers one that was an exception. In his mind really, she wasn't a newcomer at all, and with a pleased trill the little brown spun around in a mid-air u-turn, before reaching out, Is that a Fey-one I see? He did not falter as he eased his body down, setting his body gently aside the pool back feet first, Do say that you remember me...
As if a riderless brown dragon wasn't odd enough, there was a K'sel running across the weyrbowl in brisk jaunty steps. Hardly considered excitable in the least, it was a wonder to see with what gusto the rider strode to meet the mirage like sight of his sister on the waterside. As his feet slowed in approach his eyes were drawn to a curious... development, "I've been looking for you...." he then pointed, "Why are you smuggling midgets into the weyr? I hear that is frowned upon..." Or at least he wanted to think that she was just stashing melons or something under her clothes. They couldn't have been seperated so long that she was now.... well... it just didn't make sense. Last he remembered she was weeping over R'ven-woes, but now she looked thoroughly impregnated.

Feyrianth was still looking at hers when Pettahth flew past overhead and thus she didn’t notice him until she felt a gentle brush on her mind. Automatically her head swiveled back to look in the direction the contact had come from. The words pressed almost gently into her mind had every line of the green’s body freezing. Fey-one. That nickname had been so familiar and prominent in turns past that she couldn’t help but remember it now. Whirling eyes shot with ecstatic bright blues as the small brown back winged to a landing.
In the span of one a single heartbeat Feyrianth was springing forward and towards the brown, a bugle of jubilation leaving her throat even as she pounced at him, her four wings flared wide. Petta! Petta! My Pettafriend! The name was uttered in a tone near a happy squeal as she collided with him, her muzzle nuzzling any part of him she could reach, in a display of blatant affection. I missed you! And there was no denying that fact. How could she not miss him? Her half clutchbrother. Sure the green remembered him so vibrantly due to Erilena and her refusal to forget them but the point stood. He had not been forgotten. Never. Not him and not Nuoth. Her bonded had made a point of thinking about her lost friends a little everyday. Praying that they were well, and at least safe, wherever they were.
Erilena for her part had made a noise halfway between surprise and happiness as Pettahth back winged to a landing. As Feyrianth sprang for her half brother the woman turned to look around the weyrbowl for her own adopted one. Hazel eyes landed on a running figure and she turned to fully face K’sel as he ran towards her. Her throat suddenly tightening with a rush of emotion as she took him in fully. The greenrider hadn’t seen him since that disaster at the gather. He had been terribly thin then. Rough looking. Now the brownrider looked rustic and rugged. Like K’sel. So much better. Even if he was still a tad thin. As her adoptive brother stopped a few feet from her Erilena managed a smile for him but it didn’t even begin to touch on the emotions flooding through her.
When the brownrider spoke her hazel eyes blinked and then started to water. “I’ve been looking for you too.” She said softly before K’sel simply pointed to her belly and made a joke. She tried not to. She really did. But in the next moment the tears she had been holding back fell and she couldn’t help but laugh at the same time, in that slightly hysterical way only a pregnant woman could pull off. “K’sel…Oh you goof… I’ve missed you.” She choked out in between laughter and sobs. Or more rather whenever Erilena could manage a breath. “I….kind of…am smuggling…a midget in.” The greenrider finished before stepping forward towards him her hands reaching out for him almost desperately. Her brother. He was really here and she wanted the concrete feeling of her arms around him just to doubly make sure that this wasn’t some crazy hallucination.
Harper who had been laying a few feet away pricked up his ears as the man came running towards his human. A soft little puppy growl sounded in his throat though it terminated in a confused whine when Erilena turned towards the man. Her body language sure didn’t look scared. It was more longing and anxious instead. Well then. His little tail thumped once on the ground before he rolled to his feet and shook, yapping once at the greenrider as if to say. Hey! I’m here too. What about me?

As much as Pettahth adored his almost clutch sister - and he really did - the brown still tensed for a minute, with a slight tinge of yellow entering his eyes as he readied himself for the onslaught of Feyrianth love that leaped upon him. All in all it wasn't that bad, but there was still an oof sound at the initial contact when the brown allowed the green to pin him down for her excessive nuzzling. With a pleased hum, the tan little dragon wagged his tail and worked himself or at least his head, out of the knot that Fey tied the two of them into, I've missed you too. I asked mine everyday if you were ok, and Nuoth too, but the other green was one he ran into on occasion, his Fey-one had been unseen for so so many days, even when His saw Her's they needed to stay apart. This therefore was a special treat.
As distracted as the dragon was with reuniting with friends, Pettahth was oblivious to the confusion painted all over K'sel's face. The man watched as his adopted sister went through the whole range of emotions, rather finding it funny than really bothersome - pregnant women were rollercoasters of emotion anyway weren't they? - and delivering the woman something of a wry smile even as she began to tear up, "I'm a goof? What are you doing crying your eyes out?" He stretched his arms out then to catch the woman in an embrace; as awkward as that was considering that protrusion that stuck out of her. Midget or not, K'sel would rather not bump it if he didn't have to, so there was a bit of a dance as he angled himself onto tippy toes to make up for the extra distance between them. It was through a veil of his own blackish hair then that he whispered to her, "I've missed you too. I think... we have a lot to tell each other."
A sharp sound shocked his ear, his eyes snapping to attention before the rest of his body could follow. Letting go lightly enough, he turned to meet the black and white pup that begged their regard. Skeptically he asked Erilena, "Another addition? Your weyr is probably more crowded than mine..." before lowering himself in an easy crouch facing the little Harper, "Whats his name?" Trying to urge the canine over he made a little woofing sound and offer to play, sweetly saying, "Com'ere buddy... aren't you a little rascal?" Weyrbred as he was, owning a pet such as this was never much of an option... who would trust a weyrbrat to care for one when they rightfully should be enamored by the big dragons? Still, stubborn as he was, that didn't mean he never wanted one.
Pettahth sort of huffed at the odd memory pried from the depths of his bonded's brain, cocking his head mid play to take a gander at his sill K'sel's antics. Barking? Oh geeze, Mine seems to have found one of his own.... I always knew he was special.

It seemed for the first few moments that could she have managed it Feyrianth would have melded with Pettahth. Indeed her limbs were all entwined with his, her many wings tucked tight to her back to save them from unintentional harm, and her entire tail wound about whatever of the small male it could twine with. Bright sapphire eyes only whirled faster when he admitted to asking after her everyday. You did? I asked about you often too. I am so happy to see you again! In all honesty the green could hardly get happier. A level of happy above this was probably in fact impossible. Finally the onslaught of love let up enough for her to realize that her almost clutch brother might be a little uncomfortable. With a small apologetic chirp Feyrianth unwound herself from the brown and rolled off to crouch playfully by his side. An affectionate and caressing croon left her throat as her tail snaked over to twine with the last third of Pettahth’s own tail. Now that she had him back she must continue to touch and love. At least until the green was satisfied that he wouldn’t go away again. Almost coyly her head darted forward to give his muzzle a soft lick. Lenamine has missed her clutchbrother as well.
In fact Erilena had. K’sel’s words caused her to smile even though her tears. “Yes you are.” Giving a sniff she choked out another small laugh. “I’m crying cause I’m happy to see you.” A little backwards? Maybe. But she had cried when Dmitri had asked her to join with him too. Much to the poor harper’s confusion. Obviously men didn’t get that tears could be an expression of happiness. At least for her. Before the greenrider could say another word the brownrider’s arms wound around her. His shuffling and positioning to avoid her baby bump caused Erilena to give a small chuckle even as her eyes slipped closed in response to the embrace. Her own arms tightened around her adoptive brother as much as possible as she squeezed him. There should be no doubt as to the fact that she had missed K’sel. A lot. Both Nephele and him. Which she made a small mental reminder to ask him where she could find her female bff. First though it was K’sel time.
Hazel eyes slipped back open when her brother whispered and she briefly tightened her embrace on him. “Yes. We have tons to tell each other I think.” Erilena softly murmured as she pulled back a little to offer him an affectionate smile. Just as she finished speaking Harper barked and it was obvious that the sound had started K’sel. The woman blinked as the brownrider turned towards the pup and then spoke. “Yes he’s mine. I got him for my turnday this year.” Quietly she watched for a few moments as the black and white pup tilted his head to regard K’sel, his tail wagging in that slow hesitant fashion. As if he wasn’t quite sure of the man yet. “I can’t say whether my weyr is more crowded then yours or not, but his name is Harper.” It was kind of a pun. The greenrider had a harper for a husband, who she had long ago nicknamed Puppy, and now a puppy that she had named Harper. Erilena certainly found it amusing at any rate.
Regardless Harper’s tail started to wag furiously as K’sel barked. The brownrider hardly needed to utter the com’ere because the little pup was already bounding towards him excitedly. Nearing the brownrider he leapt up and tried to shower him with affectionate licks. A soft whining sound left Harper’s throat as he threw his whole body into the wag. New friend! And he barked and wanted to play too! On top of that it was obvious that his human liked him as well. So yes, in the eyes of Harper K’sel had gained automatic acceptance. Erilena couldn’t help but laugh when K’sel barked. Especially when the puppy reacted so enthusiastically to it. “Well what do you know. Two peas in a pod.” She teased the brownrider watching him and the pup interact with a smile.
Feyrianth turned her head to regard the humans as well when Pettahth paused and an amused chirp left her throat. It certainly looks that way. The Harper seems to like him too. Are you sure that yours is not part fuzzy? She asked amusement leaking into her tone as well.

This was a good compromise, Pettahth decided, and he amiably allowed for his tail to wine with Feyrianth's for the time being. For his part he decided to lay with his side touching the green's and rumbled in good spirit when she decided to lick his muzzle. Of course I did... the brown dragon reassured his kin, before taking another moment to look at their respective humans. Convinced that all was well on that front, the more serious of the pair blinked at Fey as he processed his thoughts before all but blurting out one of his bonded's little secrets, That is good, but those silly siblings saw each other more than they supposed. Mine always had an eye on Yours... back before when we were always sneaking around... He sort of sighed. It was a relief to be done with that, for he was a dragon whose life was geared towards working in communion with others. He needed defined places and structure... in turn he Impressed the defiant Kasella in the hopes of dragging him into order, but if anything the man did more to shape him in return.
Stubbornness defined their relationship. And love. But mostly stubbornness.
Speaking of stubborn, even as he petted and ruffled the puppies hair and ears, K'sel was trying to plan exactly how he was going to convince Nephele that he needed one of these. Not just wanted, but needed. It was sure to be quite the battle, being a rather independent creature himself he understood the quiet apprehension he sensed when the greenrider accepted him into her weyr, and to push the boundaries with yet another addition was a delicate situation. In time, he figured, and after many favors, but until then he was going to assume their home to be at full capacity, and explained this to his sister in the most cryptic of fashions. Forthright was not his style today it seemed, "Well does your weyr have more than two humans, two dragons, and 6 firelizards? If so then you win..." of course the brownrider wasn't counting the guests that came by their room, which he expected to only increase. He doubted Marina would be easy to get rid of...
"Harper huh?" He looked back down at the dog, shaking his hands through the hair on the creature's back and taking the puppy's kisses in stride. Sliding down onto all fours the brownrider even dipped his head into a playful bow before bouncing a bit in a faux pounce. He didn't after all want to accidentally break his sister's pet... if he managed that then he definitely wouldn't get to play with her baby much less even get to hold it. Just the type of thing to put him in the fast lane towards becoming that "one uncle" that everyone had. Wrinkling his nose at the thought, he looked the canine in the face, "You know, I don't think you much a Harper. I'm going to be calling you Buddy. Much better..." since the name Harper did strike a note of dischord in his still jaded little heart.
"Hey now Eril..." he shot back at her tease, "what are you trying to say? That I am some kind of stray?"
Certainly not.... he couldn't be... not since Pettahth had very much seen his bonded's dam in real life and his sire at least was a memory that the young man had. Neither of which appeared to the dragon to be any kind of fuzzy critter... unless of course K'sel's egg was switched at clutching, which judging by today... sadly seemed somewhat possible, No no... I think I just Impressed a very strange boy. I suppose it makes him unique.

Leaning back against Pettahth Feyrianth’s head tilted towards the brown. Content the female was in this moment, finally able to touch and adore her Pettafriend again. An amused chirp left her as the male spilled one of his bonded’s secrets. Really? She would be very happy to know that. There were times along the way where she felt so very alone. Except for me of course. But I am glad she is not that way anymore. She has gotten stronger and I think the little will strengthen her as well. She adores it very much. Turning her head to watch the two humans as well she crooned. What was it like to be so sneaky? Was it fun? Because it sure sounded interesting to Feyrianth. Like an adventure! Who didn’t love adventures? Though she had to admit that sneaking around so much would make it hard to see her friends and she very much adored her friends. Laying her head on Pettahth’s back the green gave a contented sigh. Hopefully he didn’t plan on moving anytime soon. A draconic rumble of a laugh resonated through the female however as her cuddle mate considered her question as to whether or not his was part canine. I will agree he certainly is unique. As for strange Feyrianth really couldn’t say or pass judgment. Hers did strange things too sometimes. That was perhaps part of being a human. They seemed all to be odd in one way or another.
Harper was near ecstatic as K’sel’s hands caressed over his body and ruffled his ears. Oh yes this one he liked. Whimpering in his excitement the puppy’s whole body swung with his tail in a full body wag as his tongue continued to lap at whatever expanse of skin it could reach. Soft brown eyes projected adoration onto this man who smelled of such interesting things and knew where all the best places to pet were. Best of all his master liked him so there was no worry in that way either. Eventually the little black and white pup rolled over on his side in complete bliss. A soft sigh escaped Harper as he begged for a belly rub with his tongue lolling out of his mouth and bright brown eyes still fixed on the crouching rider. Erilena couldn’t help but cover a giggle with her hand at K’sel’s enthusiasm. It briefly occurred to her that she might have a fight on her hands when it came time to go home and she tried to take away her brother’s new found friend.
When the brownrider finally spoke the woman’s giggle turned into a short laugh. “Wow you have a crowded weyr too it sounds like.” Hazel eyes lit up with amusement as she continued. “Lets see. I have a husband, his salamandyr, my two firelizards, your new friend, Feyrianth, a wher, and a baby on the way. I’d say we are almost even don’t you? Except of the fact that one of my firelizards is pretty much nonexistent, so I’m not sure if he really counts.” Wow when you looked at it that way she had a pretty crowded weyr. Though it certainly didn’t feel that way. It was actually rather quiet at times. Probably because all the occupants were rather well behaved. Except for Dmitri on occasion. An amused smile crossed her features in response to the last thought.
The smile only got bigger as K’sel started speaking again to Harper and then even got down on all fours to pounce at the puppy. It was perhaps one of the most adorable things she had seen. Certainly the most adorable from the brownrider. Harper had pricked up his ears at his name and rolled back right side up, head tilting as his tail thumped hard against the ground. For a moment he watched the man in front of him bounce and then it became much too exciting of a thing to sit still for. Scrambling back up to his feet the black and white pup pounced back at him and barked his rear wagging up into the air as he danced from side to side, occasionally stumbling over his own clumsy legs. At this point K’sel could have called him dirt and Harper still would have responded favorably. Erilena was too big to get down on the floor and play with him anymore and Dmisk only tolerated so much before he pinned the puppy in that fashion that meant. Cease and desist. So yes he was more then ready to play. Dancing forward he pounced at the man and grabbed his bootlaces growling with each tug.
Regarding K’sel with a playful expression Erilena started to answer when something about his teasing questions clicked with something in her brain. It was more a combination of those words he had uttered. Stray. Eril. Hazel eyes widened into a expression of surprise and then the greenrider couldn’t help it. She pointed at her brother an exclamation leaving her throat. “You!” For a moment she was at a loss for words but then she quickly recovered her voice at least. “You, Aramis, you were…Hobo!” Yes that was the best Erilena could come up with at the moment and it wasn’t very eloquent but it was all she had. To be honest she wasn’t sure if she wanted to squeeze K’sel again, or yell at him, or smack him upside the head. Yay for rollercoaster emotions.

Pettahth had never imagined himself as being a very proper pillow. Until recently he was probably much too pointy and bony and even after gaining some weight back he wasn't a nice and squishy dragon like some of the others. He assumed that one blue... Futh... he must catch all kinds of greens because he was a very nice fluffy one and looked like something to sleep on. Not that he would ever do such of course. Brown dragons did not go about sleeping on other dragons, especially male dragons - simply unheard of. To be rested on by Feyrianth however was different, and his spinning eyes lulled into a gentle roll as the green rumbled her comfort through straight to his heart. Oh sneaking is very fun at first. But when you are as good as I, your friends never see you. It is just standing outside of nice warm weyrs looking in. I was so close so many times and you didn't see me once! With a tiny bit of pride he added, Sometimes K'sel mine said I was like a ghost. Whatever that means... He assumed it was a good thing, but the dragon had no need to understand what a 'ghost' was.
It only took another moment and another glance Erilena's way before the brown dragon said, Yours is rather unique too! Making littles! She is all glowy and big. She must be clutching a gold or a bronze... Nothing as small as him.
Well when a puppy rolls over for a belly rub, one couldn't do much more than oblige them, and K'sel was happy enough to scratch Harper's belly while he thoughtfully replied to his sister in that ever soft but snarky way that only he could manage, "Oh no. You have to count the hardly-existent ones. I definitely counted Eyesore, and he is so often stalking dark corners or hanging out with Charming... doesn't take up a lick of space when he is in the weyr anyway..." he noted that his sister took no surprise to his living arrangements. What was this? The ever nosy Erilena, always poking her nose into his love life and doing all of this match making and she wasn't at all interested in the other human and dragon he described bunking with? Well being the brat he could be he refused to tell her unless she asked.
For his part he was going to ask all the questions he could, "A husband? I didn't know a single harper who performed a marriage in all my time growing up in Selenitas. Where did you manage to have one of those ceremonies?" More importantly why... but he supposed that was a little bit rude, especially since he noted that she was becoming increasingly frustrated with another thing that managed to leak between loose lips. Of course his reaction was first of all to bark again at the puppy and play growl as his boot laces were seized by his newfound friend. Rising back to his full height and not caring about his footwear in the least, he pulled his feet back as a gentle resistance in their new game of tug-o-war.
In the midst of this he gave Erilena a smile and tried to hold back from the incessant laughter he was holding back. Of all of the clues he left around Eril was the one she latched onto? Too funny. With a half bow and a formal movement of his hand he presented himself to the woman as the man he once claimed to be, "Aramis... travelling troubadour extraordinaire..." Placing a hand up then to nonverbally calm to woman he continued, "Now, now, don't hyperventilate. Think of the children. Getting upset at me can not be good for the baby," more laughter was bubbling up and manifesting in little chuckles, "Really, I should be the one who is offended! You were much nicer to Aramis than you ever were to your dear brother. What if Aramis was an axe murder Eri..... Eril..."

Tilting her head so that one whirling eye could regard Pettahth as he ‘spoke’ Feyrianth let her other eye slip to a contented close. So much snuggly warm loving feelings had her in that wonderful comfortable floaty place. She wasn’t far enough gone that she couldn’t pay proper attention to the brown she was resting on though. Her tail tip squeezed his briefly as she rumbled softly again the sound resembling the contented purr of a feline. It does sound very fun! Maybe you could teach me how to be sneaky? Especially if you are so good at it. I do have to admit that the looking in on warm weyrs does not sound very fun though. Not if you would rather be inside. Rubbing her head briefly on his back she continued. I wish I could have seen you? But I am glad I did not if it meant you would have been in trouble. Let us not part again? Yes the green was all for never being separated from her favorite friends ever again. She loved them very much. There were still many of them that belonged to her thankfully. All the same she didn’t like losing them one bit.
When Pettahth glanced in the direction of the riders again Feyrianth’s remaining open eye slid half closed. It might have closed completely had her almost clutchbrother’s comment not amused her so much. Yes! She is isn’t she? She is so happy and she shines just like a queen should. An affectionate croon was directed at hers. I will admit I began to despair that she would never get egg heavy. She flew very often and I was beginning to suspect that maybe her mate might be broken or that she was incapable of clutching. But I was wrong. I am glad. I cannot wait to see what kind of little she has. Humans take a loooong time to clutch I am told. Adjusting her position she continued. I suppose it could be a bronze or a queen? Ismaroth’s did comment that she was rather large and the nightbeast man who speaks of Faranth thinks so too. Then the thought occurred to her. What does yours think of littles? Surely he would love them if they were from hers? Right?
In all honesty in her excitement to see K’sel the curiosity as to his living arrangements had been drowned for the moment in favor of cooing over the sight of her brother and Harper playing together. It was honestly just plain adorable. One did not often get to see the softer side to the brownrider. Though Erilena well knew it existed. He had been very affectionate and caring to her throughout their entire relationship after all. Hence the adoptive big brother role. (Even if he was only one turn older then she herself.) He was certainly her protective, yet eccentric, big brother, shared blood or no. A weyr replacement for her own holder brother Nick in a way. And boy in ways did she prefer K’sel to Lenick. K’sel probably wouldn’t have tossed her outside in a thunderstorm when she was little after all. Even if the brownrider did think it was funny to play hobo and never let her know it was him. K'sel had only done it because he wanted to make sure she was alright right? Risked himself to still make sure his baby sister was alive and well?
Still hazel eyes still flashed in brief irritation at the barking and growling brownrider as he went on, but it was really hard to stay truly mad at him. At least until he started trying to hold back his laughter. Yay for swinging emotions, due mostly in part to pregnancy. Putting a hand on her hip, and probably looking quite comical, Erilena narrowed her eyes. “K’sel of Brown Pettahth are you laughing at me?” Her tone had raised just one more decibel as it was directed at the man in front of her. He honestly did think it was funny didn’t he, and really part of her did too. The greenrider was torn between irritation and affection for the brownrider at this moment. Vintage K’sel. As lovable as he was irritating. “Hyperventilate? I’ll give you hyperventilate.” Erilena grumbled before wrinkling her nose at him. “Nicer? You mean I’m not nice to you?” As she spoke the woman shifted and awkwardly bent down to take her sandal off her foot. They were much more comfortable then boots or confining shoes so she had taken to going barefoot or wearing lightweight comfortable slippers or sandals.
Weighing the footwear in her hand her eyes narrowed. “I’ll give you ax murderer.” Advancing on K’sel Erilena raised the shoe as if she was going to smack him with it and then simply bopped him lightly on the head and smiled as she hugged him (as well as was physically possible given her condition) again. “You big goofball. I should have known it was you. I had a feeling that I knew him and now I know why. In my defense I was all upset over baby dragons and missing you and my other friends like nuts at the time.” Tilting her head up to smile brightly at him the greenrider went back to his previous questions. The sound of Harper growling and totally getting into the game of tug of war was background sound at this point.
“We got married at Selenitas Hold actually not at the weyr. He has a friend from Harper Hall that is stationed there. It was a small thing with just immediate family and his friend performed the ceremony for us. It was lovely. I really wish you could have been there but I had no idea where you were obviously. If I had known I would for sure have invited you to it. Without a doubt.” K’sel still hadn’t asked who she had married, but then it occurred to her that he might not know who Dmitri was anyway and he also hadn’t told her who he was living with either. “So then brother dearest…I answered your question so riddle me this. Just who is the lucky girl? I am of course assuming that you didn’t decide to bat for the other team in my absence?” She tried to think about just who had fled with the rest. Hmm. That one girl who had hung around the forge perhaps? The glass grafter one? What was her name? Tenlie? She was a nice enough girl.

Of course I can teach you how to sneak... Never mind that an extra set of wings made one very hard to hide, and were probably rather cumbersome when snaking around in the trees. She would at least match rather well with her hide color... he had trouble with that factor himself, his sandy color doing best along cliff faces, grasslands, and deserts. Mud fixed a lot though, and wallowing could be fun... maybe they should do some of that later, After we cuddle here, since I want you to know that I am not leaving you. Not soon. I must eventually return to my ledge... you could come though maybe for a while. Nuoth and I do not take up too much room. He didn't think much more of the subject though, having been asked now as to what his rider thought of littles.
Well.... he wasn't at all sure how His thought in regards to those, K'sel could hardly be prodded to go to a hatching, so how would he do with people hatchlings? Sure the dragon could just ask, but the boy always made everything much harder than it needed to be. Maybe he should cheat and poke and prod at the much underneath the mop of black hair, I... I am not sure. I do not think he thinks of littles very much. But I am sure he much enjoys acting like one, so I can't imagine him not liking them? Hopefully that answer would suffice, if all else failed though, Pettahth had another solution, Maybe you should just ask him? I am sure since we are almost clutch siblings and Yours is Mine's sister, then he will surely answer you best... In other words, K'sel was much more likely to bend to the will of a female voice than his own.
The hand on the hip move did nothing to calm K'sel's laughter, "Uh yeah I'm laughing at you." Was there someone else out here that he could manage to laugh at? He doubted that there was anything nearly as funny as watching Erilena huff and puff over this whole hobo situation, "Sometimes you were mean to meeee," the brownrider explained even as she began to dismantle the sandal from her foot, "Alls I was saying is that you took an immediate liking to Aramis... you even danced for him, you never danced for me," not that it mattered all that much since here she came marching towards him with her shoewear weapon of choice. Frankly the rider didn't know how to respond to this, it wasn't like he could defend against her when she was bloated to the brim. Any false movements and she might actually pop; as such after getting bopped on the head he was quick to allow her to just envelop him in her embrace.
"Well Eri," he began to answer her question, "I did live weyrless for two turns with nothing but men for companionship. The possibility frankly is very much there..." being practically celibate for all that time was quite nerve wracking to say the least. Had he been out there any longer and he would have probably started trying to attach himself to everything he could see. Your early twenties was not the prime time to be put into such a dilemma clearly, "I can tell you however, that it is a girl.... it is a greenrider...." for the record it was absolutely impossible for K'sel not to drag this situation out and make her squirm as he dropped little hints along the way, "she has dark hair, and dark eyes, and I find her absolutely adorable when she is angry with me. You know her...." he stalled then for another moment, "would you believe me if I told you it is Nephele?"
Perhaps it was possible that Erilena had given up on her hopes and no longer even dreamed of hooking the pair of them up. They hadn't exactly made it easy in the past, but ironically as soon as they were apart from without little meddling hands mediating, they suddenly came together, "So who is it that you married anyway? Are you going to introduce me someday to the man that I am contractually obligated to hate and threaten in the event he upsets you?" That was how marriages work right? K'sel wasn't completely sure, but he thought that perhaps now with his adopted sister married, that he now had an adopted brother in law. Which is exactly the last thing he wanted, it was hard enough reuniting with the disaster that is T'ri.

A barely contained excited wiggle threatened to emerge as Pettahth spoke but Feyrianth was able to subdue it for the time being. We could be the sneakiest pair in the weyr. She responded with no small amount of affection for the brown she was laying against. Yes she was positive her almost clutchbrother would be the best teacher ever. She crooned softly in agreement to his suggestion that they practice being sneaky after cuddle time was over. The four winged green had not had any cuddle time with her Pettahth lately and this was first and foremost the most important thing. She was glad he understood that so well. Mention of Nuoth had her eyes brightening to an even more brilliant shade of blue. Oh! Nuothfriend? She is on your ledge? We shall have to go and see her soon. Feyrianth didn’t bother trying to dampen or hide her excitement. It had been too long since she had seen the other green as well. She remembered these two the best because hers had always thought of them. To be able to touch and cuddle and wind herself into a draconic knot with them both would be the best thing ever. In fact she wasn’t sure that anything could be better then that.
She listened with surprising patience as Pettahth spoke. Making a thoughtful noise in the back of her throat Feyrianth finally spoke when the brown trailed off. He does act much like a little sometimes. Very playful and silly. I think perhaps male humans mature at a much slower rate then female ones. Because well when Feyrianth saw humans acting silly about nine out of ten times it was a male. Tilting her head the green regarded K’sel though one whirling eye. As a rule Feyrianth normally did not talk to humans who had their own dragons. It was impolite and some dragons like Onyth got offended when you talked to theirs without express permission. However she had no qualms about talking to her friends that didn’t have dragons. Or who’s mindmates didn’t seem to be upset by it. Like her Dancer for example. Since her almost clutch brother had told her she could, well, Feyrianth didn’t see why she shouldn’t speak to K’sel. The green couldn’t remember if she had ever spoken to her bonded’s sibling before. Nevertheless there was a first time for everything right? Reaching out to brush his mind she spoke in her almost airy sounding tone, the voice distinctly feminine.Pettahth’s? What do you think of littles? She asked him curiously her blue eyes still watching the brownrider.
Erilena really was getting close to almost wanting to throttle K’sel. Not throttle him to kill him, just throttle him like she used to when she was frustrated with him. Which was to say pounce at and flail at him with words and the occasional light smack upside the head. Which usually degenerated into a battle which nine times out of ten ended with him licking her face and her yelling at him for it. “I probably liked him cause he was you, you doofus.” She finally responded reasonably. Besides that Aramis was some lost and friendly exotic traveler that shared a story and food with her when he had little to his name. At the time the greenrider thought she’d honestly never see him again. So the dance was kind of like a gift to him in a sense. Something to smile about as a memory when the road got rough. Maybe K’sel still had thought about it with fondness when he traveled. Erilena could hardly be mad at him when that thought finally entered her mind. Whether his name had been Aramis or not K’sel had still been a hobo. Homeless, probably sometimes cold and hungry. Yeah the irritation of him not telling her and stringing her along just kind of fled mostly. Though to be honest the greenrider really hadn’t been all that irritated at him to begin with. Not when this was the first she’d seen him in about two turns.
Quietly Erilena regarded her brother her hazel eyes nearly brimming with curiosity as he started to answer her question. She really wasn’t completely sure why it mattered so much. Maybe because she saw him as a brother. Or maybe she was just that nosy. Hard to say. At any rate the woman was silent as a grave as K’sel started in though she couldn’t quite help the soft snort when he mentioned the possibility of him being gay. Yeah sure…somehow Erilena doubted that. However when he began describing his new roommate a look of contemplative concentration fell over her face. Who waaaaas it? Greenrider and girl really narrowed it down. Not many female greenriders escaped and surely even less young ones. Dark hair, dark eyes. That still left Elysia who she knew was with S’rei so scratch that one, Tenlie, who was still a possibility, and…she tried not to get too hopeful about the last one. Until the brownrider mentioned thinking it was cute when she was angry at him. Still somehow Erilena managed to keep quiet until K’sel had uttered the name himself.
“Really?! Honestly? Nephele! That’s great!” The greenrider didn’t even try to contain her excitement, in fact she bounced lightly on the balls of her feet. Though that quickly stopped when they started to complain at her again. “Congratulations.” Oh she had so many questions. But those could wait a little bit. At least till she could finally snag Nephele and grill her about it. “I’m so happy for you guys! I knew you’d eventually stop being goofballs. Took you long enough.” Grinning at him she blinked at his question the smile turning a bit playful. “Why should I tell you?” She teased. “Maybe I should just give you clues like you did me and see if you can guess.”
Honestly Erilena wasn’t all that sure K’sel had paid a lot of attention to who she had ever hung out with. Even if he had Dmitri was a moonlighter. Hmm. His next question caused her to laugh. “Sure I’ll introduce you to him. Nephele has met him at least once before. I can’t remember if you have or not.” Wrinkling her nose slightly she continued. “I don’t think you’ll have any cause to ever hate or threaten him. He treats me very well.” Something people might not guess by how he tended to treat near everyone else. Putting it nicely Dmitri was a bit of an ass. Hard to swallow for most people at times. But Erilena adored him more then anything. Asshole or not he was still her best friend and now her husband. Giving K’sel a playful smile she poked his nose. “So you want to guess or should I just tell you?”

Oh well I like to think that I am on her ledge, the brown began to correct himself speaking to the green,I know that I came to here after Nuoth did. Funnily enough his rider just sort of made himself home that day they arrived without so much as a warning. It was like his number one prerogative was to take "temporary" residence in the home and extend the welcome into a permanent arrangement without even a word.... well of course after some other things. There was that stop at the infirmary to treat some burns that swept across the brown's left flank, but those for the most part had vanished into nothing having only peeled away the top most layer of hide. Pettahth himself nearly forgot they were ever there, and Fey would be lucky to notice.
Perhaps they do... I think... maybe... with all the confusion that Pettahth was feeling he should very well reflect this in his eyes, but not more than a bit of yellow was found flecked into the swirls of a bright and vibrant blue. He was quite enthralled to have such thoughts that actually challenged him, and began to pick apart the conflicting thoughts that were occurring to him, Mine goes through... phases. When I picked him he was sour like an unhappy unfed hatchling. Now though he is much more like a happy hatchling, but a rebellious one that won't follow his master, the whirl of those twin jewels calmed then as he concluded, do you think that means he is growing up? Although he hoped for a positive answer - he'd like to think he didn't pick a permanent child after all - the question was left alone mostly, he let it drift into space as he was distracted instead by Feyrianth's question to his rider. He was excited to hear this answer....it was something that Pettahth needed to know as well.
K'sel was still busy clinging to Erilena in their embrace and allowing her puppy to have its way with his shoe laces when he began one of his typically dry responses to the whole "doofus" remark when he found himself suddenly stopped short by the most unfamiliar of sensations. A female voice in his mindspace seemed so foreign and odd despite the fact that he couldn't help but automatically pair a name it. Loosening his grip on Erilena ever so slightly, he turned his head over his shoulder and looked at her four-winged bonded before offhandedly mentioning to the blonde woman, "Your dragon is asking me about my opinion on 'littles'. Is this your work?" Despite the devious little smirk he showed her, he suspected his own brown had a claw in the question too, and picked up his voice to try and give Fey an answer despite all the difficulty. Hey it was a tough question! He never gave children or "littles" much more than a distant respect.
"Well they certainly can be cute...." a hand came up to his face as he scratched the scruff on his jawline thoughtfully, "... you ask hard questions Feyrianth. A whole creche full of children is a very scary thing I will admit and us men are not very well equipped to think this far ahead, but I will say that uh..." had he been asked four turns ago the answer would be definite. Keep the kiddies away! Things were rapidly changing. He actually lived with another human being... in near harmony, and his contemporaries... they were all having children of their own, but then was he ready to be a grown man.... a grown ass man? "I should probably practice not breaking Eri's littles first right?" A very diplomatic answer if he could say so himself. One that was punctuated by a large sigh of relief. Who knew that a simple question from a simple dragon could be so stressful?
Breaking away though he slipped back into conversation with his sister, so that he could beam with pride for a moment from the congratulations, "Thank you, thank you... now I need to knock on wood lest my black cloud return to form around my head..." the brownrider had been growing increasingly paranoid. Too many good things had been happening to him as of late and he couldn't help but feel like there was some kind of karmic retribution for something coming around the corner. Certainly there was some insult he had dealt out that hadn't been repayed yet. Nonetheless, "I don't know about a guessing game. You at least had a limited pool to pick from for me. Your husband can be from any corner of the continent.... or planet even. So, perhaps you should just go right ahead and tell me..." since really his only choice was "not R'ven". He knew exactly that much.

The green watched Pettahth work through his thoughts with curiosity as she awaited K’sel’s answer. It was not really all that hard to pay attention to both at the same time. And perhaps after all the answers there were to give had been given they could go see Nuoth and make a pleasant knot of dragon on her ledge. Vibrant greens mixed with sandy brown. Yes that sounded like a very good plan to Feyrianth. Of course before she left she would have to make sure that hers was somewhere safe and sound. The four winged dragon was obsessed over her rider staying safe. If she was not with Feyrianth she needed to be with Dancer. Or someone the green trusted. Like Behruth’s for instance.
Feyrianth’s head tilted as she listened to the brown beside her explain and her tail caressed over his flank almost absently. Hmm. I have seen these phases in humans as well so I think I know what you are talking about? It seems that humans grow and change all the time. Not that this makes them any less confusing to be around sometimes. But you know? I think you must be right. I think yours is growing up. To this comment the female gave a sagely nod before continuing on. Yes all humans must grow up at some point and I think yours is getting there. She may not say it to him yet but mine is very excited about him having a mate and proud of yours. The latter was given in a near conspiratorial tone as if Feyrianth was telling Pettahth an important secret. Even as the green finished she became aware of K’sel reacting to her question though. Her full attention went back to the rider in question, her head tilted ever so slightly as she tried to appear as innocent as possible. Which really wasn’t all that hard. The green had a near childlike quality at times that was for certain.
Erilena was quite happily basking in her brother’s embrace when an odd expression came across his face. Curiously she blinked up at him until she realized through her own bond that Feyrianth was speaking to him. Hmm how curious. The woman didn’t think that her dragon had ever spoken to K’sel in particular before. A questioning pulse was given her dragon, but before Feyrianth could answer the brownrider was already clarifying and the woman couldn’t help but giggle a little. “She is is she?” An amused expression crossed her face before her brother smirked at her and in return Erilena wrinkled her nose slightly at him. “Nope. I promise this time I am completely innocent. That question is all on her.” Though the woman would be lying if she wasn’t curious as to the answer as well. Oh she had no worries that K’sel wouldn’t like her baby. She just wondered if he had even given any thought to the topic at all. Especially given that he was living with Nephele now. Erilena herself knew that Nephele desired a child at some point. They had talked of it a couple times before back in Selenitas and she doubted that had changed since her friend’s exile. So yes the greenrider was very curious to hear if there was any possibility of her being an aunt one day, in addition to soon being a mother.
Both halves of the greenrider pair had their attention on K’sel as he started speaking. One pair of whirling blue and one pair of hazel eyes were trained on his face obviously paying close attention to every word. Erilena smiled in amusement at her brother as he spoke while Feyrianth’s eyes whirled even faster in response. A giggle left the woman as the brownrider finished. “I think that’s a good idea. Just remind me the first time you hold her to surround you both with pillows or something.” Mostly she was joking. The woman knew her adoptive brother would never hurt her baby. He’d probably be extremely careful, but still as a first time mother Erilena was bound to be a little protective and quite possibly overly so at times. Feyrianth crooned to the brownrider and she might have nuzzled him if he was closer. Instead she just responded gently to him. I think that is a good idea. Practice makes perfect yes? Like with her flying. The more Pettahth’s was around littles the more he would like them and the better it would be. Yes she was content with that answer. As such she turned back to the brown she was cuddled with and nuzzled him. I think that I will count that as yours liking littles. At the very least he is sure to like Erilenamine's littles. Because how could he not? They were bound to be the best. Biased? Feyrianth? No. Never.
“Well if I had any wood I’d loan it to you. Sadly I seem to have left my wooden clogs at home.” Erilena responded in what was clearly a playful tone. “And if you gather any storm clouds I think I have a song that might chase them away.” Though no way was she sharing that ridiculous song Dmitri made up for her unless K’sel was in dire need at the time. Frankly it was one of her favorite memories but the song was something she liked to keep to herself. Part of the hilarity was in the way the handler sang it anyway. Her hazel eyes returned to the brownrider and she considered before responding. “Okay. I suppose that was true. I had an easier time of guessing then you ever will.” Smiling up at him she titled her head. “Do you remember Dmitri? The tall harper from Selenitas? I used to pal around with him sometimes? He sang at most of the feasts. Tall, blonde, has some light burn scaring on his face. Him. Dmitri of Dmisk. We got joined in February at Selenitas Hold. He even went to see my father to ask him for his blessing personally.” Smiling at the memory she placed a hand on her belly. “We didn’t know it at the time but I was pregnant before we even got joined. Scandalous. I know.” She teased, her eyes reflecting her amusement. “But yes. You two should meet. Really I can’t say how that would go. You’re both pretty unique people. But he treats me very well. So do keep that in mind. He has quite the mouth on him at times.” Which only made her like him all the more really. Curious that.

Pettahth was pleased. His was not hopeless then, he was just stuck in another phase of growing, and apparently others could see the same advances in maturity that he had, even if they were little and incremental. Things took time, Oh good, I was slightly worried that he would be stuck this way... He was being as vague as a dragon was able to be with the comment, and hummed quietly as the green's tail trailed over his hide. That her rider was even proud made him delighted. Good. Everyone should be proud of His, it spoke greatly of his ability to pick a bonded and make choices. Though he was left still with a bit of questioning. Why may I ask, is yours excited about mine having a mate? Is it because he finally made a catch instead of... Oh what was that word that His like to use? Hmmm, dithering around?
Contented to have heard his rider give an answer, and one that wasn't completely idiotic at that, the dragon shifted to indicate his restlessness, and proposed to Feyrianth, Ours are not being terribly exciting do you think? It appears their attempts to thwack each other with their queer foot coverings have ceased. If you wish... I can lead you to my ledge... I think Nuoth should be there, and it will be the best of times my Fey-one. He considered the fact that her rider was quite egg heavy, and added on, I'm sure mine will watch yours. It was admittedly questionable as to if K'sel would be able to carry Erilena back to the weyr if it came down to it though. Balloon women looked quite cumbersome.
Speaking of which...
"I am shocked and offended!" Despite the fact that yes, he just admitted the possibility of breaking a child, he still didn't like hearing the notion reverberating around them, "I don't need the aid of pillows thanks. I can balance chairs on my fingertips..." no he couldn't, "I would never be so clumsy as to drop the kid. What you should be worried about is Uncle K'sel blowing her mind when she grows up to find out how awesome I am..." A sarcastic sort of arrogance slipped off of his tongue, "How do you know its gonna be a girl anyway?" Just by looking at her he would guess that it would be a sharding huge girl, and that made little sense to the man since his sister was not a large woman by any means.
"I can't say I remember Dmitri too well. I'm sorry Eri," he was apologetic because he assumed that it would be pretty important for him to know who exactly it was that see deemed lovely enough to marry. Marry while living in a weyr at that, "You know me, I'm too self absorbed to notice a tall blonde singer at the gather when I had my own problems to wallow in... but..." oh so she was admitting that she was a naughty naughty woman and did the nasty before it was deemed acceptable by the powers that be? He wasn't going to let her live that one down, "I will have to meet this heathen who doth lay with my sister before their day of engagement," even though he was admittedly a little afraid to now. Not for his own sake, but for Eri's. Was it a good idea to have two smart asses in one room with each other? He was already defying nature by befriending the men that he had, "But I will tryyyy to be on my best behavior. On one condition. Can I get my hat back please?"

Feyrianth snaked her head back around to look at Pettahth and crooned softly. How to answer his question? Why exactly was hers so excited? Finally after careful consideration she spoke. I think it is because it is another sign he is growing up. Taking a mate is the first step to creating a family in humans? Like mine chose her Dancer and now they will soon have a little. The green gave a small bob of her head. Yours is taking more steps towards being grown up. And she also likes Nuoth’s a great deal and is very happy for them both. It makes her happy when the ones she loves are happy. Stretching her neck slightly she gently licked the brown’s muzzle. Dancer, Nautsk’s, Eikask’s, Behruth’s, Yours, Nuoth’s, Salenth’s, even Onyth’s are all important to her. You all our part of our family. Your happiness is important. You should care about those you love. So how can she not be excited for yours? It made sense to Feyrianth and she was just a dragon. But she did so love her friends and siblings and wanted to make things better when they got upset. That was natural yes?
Bright blue eyes were still fixed on the two rider’s when Pettahth again spoke up. Her eyes whirling just a tad faster in her excitement at his words. Feyrianth gave a pleased chirp and untangled herself from the small brown so that she could rise to her feet. They have indeed gotten more boring now. I suppose they can only be interesting for so long yes? Wings twitching in her anticipation to be airborne she crooned. I am sure it will be the best of times Pettamine. How could it not be with Nuoth there too? I cannot wait to see her again. I do hope she remembers me? Giving a glance to hers as she was mentioned the dragon crooned. Yes I am sure yours will be a wonderful sitter. Lenamine says he has always been a good clutchbrother to her. Butting her head briefly against the brown’s jaw Feyrianth spread all four of her wings and waited for the male to take off before launching into the air after him. Be good Lenamine. She brushed affectionately against her rider’s mind before winging after Pettahth.
She really couldn’t help but giggle a little at his tone. “Really K’sel? Well then you have my most humble apologies. I had no idea that you were so graceful.” It was hard to keep a straight face at his latter comment though and Erilena burst out into laughter. “Indeed. I never thought of that. You’ll ruin her for every man that comes after you. None of them will hold a candle to the awesome that is Uncle K’sel. King of Hobos and survivor extraordinaire.” Really though K’sel was a fun guy. She could hardly see her child not completely adoring him. Especially when he was bound to spoil her rotten or get her all riled up before innocently returning her for her parents to deal with. Oh yes. Erilena saw this all too well. It was so comforting to know that besides having parents who loved each other her baby would also have an extended network of people who would love and care for her as well. Smiling at the latter question Erilena poked K’sel’s nose. “I’m magic and can tell the sex of my baby just by thinking about it? But no. I don’t really know. When Dmitri first started courting me and we talked about babies he told me he wanted a little Lena with my eyes. I told him it had to have his eyes and it became a running joke. So I guess it was just natural when it happened to say it was a girl? So now we joke that she’s either a girl or a gender confused boy.” More an inside joke really. It probably wasn’t that funny to anyone but them. But it was amusing to Erilena at least.
Shifting from foot to foot the greenrider smiled. “That does sound like you. But that’s okay. I really didn’t expect you would remember him. Especially with him being a wherhandler. Nephele might remember? She met him once before when he impressed Dementia.” Pausing in her shifting and blinking at his wording Erilena giggled again. “Yes you shall have to meet this man who did such awful things to me behind closed doors. Poor innocent little me. I had no chance against such a demon.” Which was ironic because she was probably just as bad if not worse at times. Not that she was offering that information. Oh no they could believe that Dmitri was the bad boy if they wanted. In truth though Erilena certainly found Dmitri addicting. Which given their status was probably a good thing. Certainly no loss of interest on her part. If anything the feeling and attraction she held for him had only grown. Smiling brightly up at K’sel the greenrider kissed his cheek. “That’s all I ask. I really appreciate it. I’m not saying you have to be best friends or anything. I’d even settle for you just not killing each other.” The latter part was mostly a tease. She doubted they could hate each other that much but then you never knew.
“As far as the hat? I don’t knoooooow. I’ve gotten a bit attached to it. I even wore it to bed a couple nights when I really missed you. Honestly.” Had she really? Maybe once or twice. Erilena gave K’sel her best pout. “Do you really want to rip it away from me now? I think maybe I should keep it as a joining gift.” Mainly she was just giving him a hard time because she could. She’d eventually give it back. Maybe. Right now it was way too fun to have something to hold over his head.
