Of course you do, he responded with no small amount of affection. Really, it made sense. She was so small that he must seem like a nice warm and soft (at least compared to the stone couch) bed for her. Oh, the little minx. She had noticed, after all. In a show of stubbornness he managed not to wriggle too much, but in the end it was just too much and the male slid off her with a playful growl. That, as you well know, is playing dirty, he commented, snapping at her teasingly.
"And I think we both know," the bronzerider responded, with a slight lopsided smirk to his face as he begun to work the oil into Mhir's wing joints, "that I was teasing you. Miss dramatic. Onyth is going to Rise soon, isn't she, little lady?" He glanced over at her slyly. Elysia was always a bit tempramental. That said, she usually knew when he was teasing her, after being around him for over a turn (even if their relationship was quite a bit younger than that, something he often forgot) so when she was this testy it usually meant something else was going on.
Also, her arguments were lacking in logic this morning. He wasn't sure if it was just her almost perpetual need to argue or, again, some outside factor. Usually Elysia had the advantage in the morning; S'rei didn't wake up very quickly, after all. "Yes. Little lady." S'rei sounded nothing if not pleased with himself. Finding a pet name for his weyrmate other than Els, which he knew to be something his son had called her, too, if only because the boy still did when she wasn't annoying him (which was admittedly a rare occurrence) was proving to be difficult. Princess was perfect. She was spoiled and demanding like one. But it was off-limits because her bastard of a father had called her it. He liked teasing her, not dredging up old nasty memories. Little lady would do. It still implied someone who acted like they had all the priveleges of royalty, and the little part was bound to irk her. Perfect.
Gesturing to Baron to come take Mhir's place, S'rei chuckled at Elysia's rather obvious verbal pouting. "Because you like cuddling with me, love," he responded easily, with a grin. "Amour is getting food. If I have assurances that you won't make it very uncomfortable for me to snuggle with you I'd be more than happy to spend some time with you. Surely you don't think I can just take off time whenever; we still have that long trip I promised you after Mhir's old enough to...enjoy it." He smiled a little gentler at her. "I can't really skip right now when I'm already taking that much time off."

Salenth’s affectionate tone did nothing to win him any mercy sadly. In fact Onyth’s amusement only intensified as Salenth strove to stay still despite her tickling. Oh he still thought he could win did he? The green neither sped up nor put more force into her tickling. After a time the bronze would surely lose through sheer build up of sensation, and true to her belief it wasn’t long till she felt the large male’s weight upon her lessen. When Salenth finally slid off her Onyth wasted no time in rolling to her feet, a gentle croon leaving her throat in counter to the playful growl. Now, now my love. It is no more dirty then you using your superior weight to pin me is it? What do these humans say? All is fair in love and war I believe. When the bronze snapped at her she playfully bared her teeth and surged forward towards him. Hooking a foreleg over his neck, right behind his head, Onyth sought to pull it closer to her so that she could gently nip at his jaw. Almost at the same moment her tail wound around his back leg to anchor herself against being possibly tossed. The green had found that she could cling rather well when she so chose.
There was that name again. Little lady. Perhaps she could grow used to it. Maybe. Really it made her feel far too young though. Elysia narrowed her dark eyes slightly as the bronzer glanced at her. “Teasing yes.” Oh she knew in her head that S’rei was teasing her. His body language made it more then apparent. The problem lay with her mood, not any misunderstanding about whether her was teasing her. With a sigh the greenrider slightly shook her head. “Actually Ony probably won’t be proddy for a few weeks yet. But I’m starting to get a little crampy.” A fact which the bronzer might see as a bit of a plus despite her mood. Better she cycle now while Mhir was still young and able to be emotionally scared then later when the mandyr was old enough to handle sexual activity. Though it did tend to make Elysia’s mood fluctuate wildly and leave her extremely sensitive to near everything. One week out of the month where she was probably almost completely and utterly irrational about near everything. Certainly a joy to reside with. Not that the greenrider didn’t make efforts to curb her mood. They just didn’t tend to work out too well.
Elysia barely contained a twitch as he repeated the nickname in a quite smug tone. A soft growl left her throat the noise certainly loud enough to be heard from where S’rei was seated oiling Mhir. “Little lady makes me sound like I’m twelve. What is wrong with plain Els? You’ve been calling me Els forever.” So why suddenly the new pet name? The bronzer started calling her Els way before he even knew of Dmitri’s existence. They had picked up the same nickname. A fact which, at the time, she had found both strangely coincidental and quite amusing. Why it had suddenly become a problem now the woman wasn’t sure. But currently little lady wasn’t fitting well. It sounded more like something you called your child maybe. Not that Elysia had a good record when it came to accepting pet names. Princess for example still made her twitch in disgust and dredged up memories that she really would rather bury for all eternity. Most people didn’t want to remember rape. Certainly not rape which involved people, who by all rights, should be protecting you.
Baron directed an affectionate croon to his before hopping off the bedpost to glide down to a landing next to S’rei. He was careful to not jostle Mhir as he folded his wings against his back and waited for the oil to be applied. Elysia’s eyes moved over her eldest pet before moving back to her weyrmate. As he spoke she almost idly played with the hem of the shirt she was wearing. Finally she snorted softly. “Fine. No teasing I promise.” Dark eyes moved to Mhir then back to S’rei. “Only a few weeks more before we can go right? Lets try not to get me attacked by dolphins this time.” Smiling slightly at him she then stuck out her tongue. “It’s not that much time. I don’t see why the weyr thinks it would die without you.” Except honestly she did. S’rei was as much a part of Selenitas as anyone. He almost was the weyr. Born there, lead it for turns, the people adored him, respected him. That didn’t mean she had to like the fact that the weyr kept him here working all the time though. He was hers now.
A soft knock to the door had Elysia shifting on the bed though she didn’t move to answer it right that second. “I think our food is here.” Not that she really honestly expected S’rei to go get it. She would herself. In a minute. A little patience wasn’t going to kill people.

She might not have been able to move the entire bronze very easily, but his head she could more than manage upon capturing his neck. Salenth didn't bother to fight it, either, as there was nothing about nuzzles that he felt the need to avoid. His tail did slide around as she captured one of his hind legs, however, snaking around her lower body. Faranth forbid he allow her to win entirely. Returning the nuzzle, he responded teasingly, So what is this, then? Love or war?
Well, that explained it then. You'd think that S'rei would know about when her cycle was about to come, but he didn't pay that much attention to what time of month it was. One month melted into the next just like the days ran together. Work as usual. Which...actually was preferable to the tumultuous existance most Selenitans were accustomed to. He laid that almost entirely at the feet of maintaining the secrecy of this new Weyr, and it only encouraged him to keep it that way.
Well, at least now he knew that Els would be a trial (more of a trial than normal) for awhile. Yay? "Well, you are quite a bit younger and smaller than I am," S'rei commented, his attention now on Baron. He worked the oil carefully into joints where the hide got the most itchy. "My son called you Els. I want a name of my own. If little lady bothers you that much, I'll find another one, but you may not like it, either."
S'rei laughed. Yeah, why would the Weyr possibly think it would die without him? Possibly because there were precious few other bronzeriders here worth their weight in shit? And, let us be honest, the majority of the time bronzes were attracted to people who had those qualities suited to leadership. Who knew why Selenitas bronzes were such failures? Perhaps it was the selection. If that wasn't sobering.
"Perhaps you should get the door, then. Unless you want oil all over it." Tempramental Els was tempramental and would likely have something to say to that, but S'rei didn't mind so much. She almost always had a rejoinder, some which made more sense than others. "The sooner we eat the sooner we can cuddle." Dangle the carrot, yes. She'd know she was being handled but, well, it didn't make it less true and it didn't mean he wanted to cuddle with her any less. S'rei liked having a woman, even if she'd gone and made him fall for her, too, which made part of him deep down very nervous. S'rei still remembered Shmee.

As the bronze’s tail started to wind around her Onyth braced herself, a soft purr starting in her throat as Salenth returned her affections. Caressing over his muzzle once with her tongue she crooned in amusement. I suppose it is a bit of both. It could go on forever. Perhaps we should negotiate a temporary pause in battle? We can seal the deal with oil and sunning. As she spoke the green rubbed her entire body along her mate’s, a rougher purr of pleasure starting deep in her throat. What say you my handsome king?
Still ignoring the knocking Elysia’s dark eyes stayed fixed on S’rei as he spoke. Finally she snorted. “Not that much younger. Age is but a number.” Swinging her legs off the bed the greenrider rolled her eyes. “So what if that’s what Dem used to call me? It’s not like you knew that when you picked the nickname and it’s a lot easier to utter in bed then Elysia. Though hearing you drawl out those syllables might be quite pleasing.” Gingerly placing her bare feet on the stone floor she almost winced. Cooooold. “How about you keep cycling through them until you find one that I don’t mind? You don’t hear me bitching about Shmee and everyone else you ever bedded calling you Rei. Mostly because it probably sounds better coming from my mouth. But you know I could call you something else if you want to bitch about someone else having used it too.” A glance was shot S’rei’s way. “Hmm. Lets see….Pet, Pony, Pookie?” Yeah the last one almost had Elysia’s straight face falling but somehow she kept it together. If only barely. “Peanut Butt?” She batted her eyelashes at him.
Her return to good mood was quickly fading though. Even despite the fact that Baron was cooing up in adoration at the man oiling him. Yesss that was the best spot. The brown pressed up harder against S’rei’s hand before a sudden emotional flare from his had him turning his head to chirp once to her in question. Not that Elysia paid her pet any mind. No, her eyes were solely on S’rei. “So what am I now? Not your drudge but your pet? Tempt me with treats for fetching your slippers like a good girl?” There was a bit of irritation present in the tone but it wasn’t true anger. Not yet anyway. “Faranth forbid you give me a few moments to get out of bed. Patience is apparently a lost art.” The greenrider shoved off the bed after that and gave another irritated look to her weyrmate before stalking towards the door and flinging it open with maybe a little more force then necessary.
The startled drudge blinked at Elysia for a moment before recovering herself enough to smile and offer the tray with a polite good morning. Amour, who was perched, upon the woman’s shoulder trilled pleasantly to his. See! He did it! He could have oils now? Ignoring her pet the greenrider took the tray from the woman and muttered a half sincere thanks before turning towards the weyr interior and gesturing with her other hand to Amour. “Hurry up pea brain.” The small brown chirped a polite goodbye to the woman before winging though the door right before his shut it. Making her way to the table Elysia would have dropped the tray if not for the drinks upon it. Instead she set it down and snapped at S’rei. “Foods here, Master.” Somehow she managed to make the last word sound a bit like a curse.
Amour wasn’t sure what was going on but he knew he didn’t want to make it worse. Thus he avoided Elysia and winged to S’rei instead. Alighting upon the man’s shoulder he wound about his neck and chirped in an almost conspiratorial tone, flashing him images of a broody Millieth. He had done good right? Why was his so irritated? Nuzzling the man’s jaw he waited for some type of reaction. Hopefully approval and then maybe oiling? He was just a tad bit jealous of Baron currently. That lazy had done nothing at all!

I say that sounds like the best plan. Though I am not sure that Yours will agree to oiling me anymore, given her annoyance with Mine, Salenth commented in an amused tone. He didn't move much in response to Onyth's affections, simply because it was a lot more awkward for him to rub all up and over her given the discrepancies in their sizes. Instead, he simply enjoyed it, his tail gripping her snuggly but not too tightly. It seems that we may have to make some sort of contingency plan.
"You seem to like P's," was S'rei's only response to her list of names. It was mostly an idle threat on her part. "Just to set the matter straight, though, everyone who knows me and is either a friend or family calls me Rei, apart from my children. It's a term of familiarity. That's a little different than sharing a pet name that your past lover and only your past lover used." And yes, he was probably more sensitive to it due to who her past lover was, but whatever.
The man almost sighed at her temper tantrum. Over telling her to get the door, no less. She really was like a teenaged brat half the time. Especially now. He raised a brow at her term of address, tempted to pull her into his lap to arrest her ill-humored huff before it really got off the ground, but now wasn't a convenient time or place while he was just finishing up Baron's oiling. Instead he reached out and dragged his oily fingers down her cheek.
"Think we can put the bitchy Els away for a second? Throw too many more fits about inconsequentials this morning and you're going to start giving me flashbacks." It was about as close as he was going to get to saying that she was seriously reminding him of Shmee right about now. And not the nice parts. "I know you're more mature than this, throwing a tantrum over being asked to get the door."
Giving Baron a little scratch behind his eyeridges, he silently urged Amour to take the other brown's place and took special care with the obedient flit for doing such a good job.

Onyth’s head tilted slightly as she considered Salenth’s words before commenting smugly. I do often make the best plans. Leaning her weight more on the bronze at her side she snorted. Oh I doubt any issue she has towards yours will carry onto you. She is not quite that silly. No as irrational as Elysia could be at times she wasn’t quite as bad as to take out her annoyance on S’rei’s mindmates. You will certainly still get your oiling if you want one. She’ll just maybe bitch and moan at bit to us while doing it. We can always tone her out if needed. Or give her ideas on getting back at yours. That always proves to be amusing to watch. Especially when Salenth's turned it back on her. The dark female rumbled in amusement. However, if for some reason mine decides that she is not going to oil us we could always go up into the mountains and play there?
She bit her lip to keep from commenting back. Oh so everyone called him Rei then did they? Well Dmitri was no longer the only one who called her Els either. S’rei did, A’emi on the occasion, and T’san had done it before too. Some nicknames just carried on. But whatever. Fine. She’d find something else to call him if they were going to have fits over stupid pet names. Could just call him bronzer but that seemed lacking in any type of familiarity. Elysia called him it on occasion, but considering her issues with bronzeriders it wasn’t something she wanted to call him constantly. Tangling a hand up in her still slightly damp hair the greenrider tugged her fingers through it, an attempt to waylay her temper a bit. Enough. Time to drop the topic. She’d just try and work out something else to call him later and if he kept irritating her maybe it wouldn’t be nice.
Sudden movement out of the corner of her eye had Elysia instinctively flinching, her head ducking away from his fingers. S’rei managed to catch part of her cheek anyway and her dark eyes narrowed upon him as she brought her hand up to her cheek to touch the small streaks of oil he had left. Her silent stormy gaze stayed fixed on the bronzerider as he spoke. Her irritation held up until her weyrmate mentioned flashbacks. Then it all suddenly faded to be replaced by a mixed expression of surprise, disgust, and finally something almost like fear. Last thing in all of Pern Elysia ever wanted was to be like Shmee, to be compared to her.
The greenrider knew things about that woman. First and foremost that the goldrider was the only other women S’rei had ever admitted to loving in his life. Second that Shmee had treated him rather badly at times. To a level that was shocking and frankly disgusting. On top of that Elysia was rather sure that S’rei hadn’t told her everything that woman had ever done to him. But then there were still details about her own early life that Elysia hadn’t shared with S’rei either. Ones revolving around the man that the bronzer and everyone else she was close to knew she despised more then anything. Details that she was afraid might change S’rei’s opinion of her, as silly as that sounded. Things that when uttered made her want to break down. Thus she kept them mentally locked up as tightly as she could. Surely he had similar things closeted? Maybe. Hard to say.
Regardless as S’rei went back to oiling her pets Elysia sighed. Reaching for a piece of fruit from the tray she turned it over in her fingers before approaching the bronzerider. Holding it out for him to take she also offered him an apologetic look. “You’re right.” The unspoken I’m sorry hung in the air. The greenrider was never good at uttering those two words. They normally only came out when she was extremely upset about something she had done to him. Perhaps the benefit to that was that when Elysia did utter them she really meant them and he knew it. “I’m not being very fair to you this morning.” Was she ever? Dark eyes dropped to Amour in S’rei’s lap then, solely because she didn’t know what else to do with them. Faranth she was making a mess of the morning wasn’t she?
Amour had completely lidded his eyes under the bronzer’s touch, a pleased hum vibrating through his body. Though he did crack open one eye to regard his and offer her a soft croon and a loving mental caress. Soley because she was there.

Salenth was quite amused by Onyth's suggestion. Mine will know of any plan I might give her. Should she actually tell me what course of action she decides on, that will make it even easier for him. Though both Elysia and Onyth knew this, they either forgot often or they just didn't care so much, because S'rei had gotten a head's up on many things in this way. And what sort of game did my green have in mind? the male questioned. This of course would have to wait until after he got back from drills, but Salenth could remember that long. Heh.
Well, of all the reactions S'rei might have expected from Elysia, that look on her face and the proffered fruit wasn't one of them. He couldn't help but make a mental note that it seemed any reference, however obscure, to Shmee brought the woman back in line. Not that he'd use it that way. He had been truthful a moment ago and wouldn't say it again unless it was true, as well. Still, the knowledge was there. Interesting. Was she afraid that if she reminded him too much of Shmee he'd leave?
Actually, that probably wasn't an unreasonable fear.
Accepting the fruit from her in his mouth, he savored it as she spoke and offered her a smile, his fingers still working the oil delicately into Amour's hide. "No, but then...you rarely are," the bronzerider agreed with a dry laugh. Having now finished with the second of Elysia's flits, he took a couple extra seconds simply to stroke him before getting up carefully (so as not to startle the male) and going over to the washbasin to clean his hands.
When he came back, he threaded his arms around Elysia's waist from behind and rested his chin on the top of her head. "Let's have breakfast now, hm?" Yet he didn't move to release his hold on her. Clearly not in a hurry. "I won't call you anything you don't like, okay? You just protest so often sometimes I have to try things a few times to see if you really don't like it or are just making noise." He nipped her earlobe. "I like Els and will still use that. I just want something of my own. You can understand that, can't you?"

Radiating amusement Onyth nudged her head up under her mate’s jaw before responding. Oh she knows this. So do I, but sometimes I don’t think she cares if yours knows. Maybe she’s trying to throw him off his mark in some fashion? Who really knows? As she spoke the green’s tail unwound from Salenth’s leg to wind partially about the upper portion of his tail. (Considering the rest of his tail was still hugging her midsection.) A soft croon left her throat as she considered his question. Oh there are all sorts of interesting games to play. We could play flight tag up in the mountains or tease those silly horned mountain herdbeast that live up there. They are quite bold for herbivores. Oh yes Onyth had had a run in with a big horned one up there who had been bound and determined to drive her away from his small family group. She had let him live solely because he had amused her so much, facing up to a creature that could have easily have ended his life in one swipe. Idly the green wondered if the ram would be so bold against the much larger bronze.
Dark eyes stayed on Amour until she heard S’rei speak. His words in combination with the dry laugh had a spark of anxiety traveling through her chest and Elysia turned from him to hide any expression the sudden feeling caused to flash across her face or in her eyes. Generally being unfair to someone was not a good thing. Especially when he admitted that she rarely was fair to him. Fairness. Sometimes the greenrider wondered why anyone put up with her. Or how long S’rei would put up with her before enough was enough like it had been with Dmitri. She was doing better wasn’t she? Honestly these thoughts were normally just passing, a feeling of insecurity that cropped up on occasion. Was it normal to feel that way? The women didn’t have enough experience in normal intimate relationships to say really. Elysia was at quite a loss as to how to act about such things most times. Mostly because her first experiences with anything like intimacy had been…damaging at best.
As her weyrmate started towards the wash basin the woman watched his back for a moment before she turned back to the table. He hadn’t offered her any other words so she presumed he was done speaking on the matter. Swallowing past a lump in her throat Elysia separated the bowls of chopped meat up for the firelizards and Mhir. Giving a mental call to both her flits she made them wait until she had offered Mhir his food first. “There you go little one. Eat slow and chew.” As she spoke she trailed a fingertip down his pale back and then turned back towards the browns who were eyeballing each other warily. “No fighting.” She said firmly as she slid the remaining two bowl towards the pair. They knew how to catch their own food but still the spoiled things much preferred to be fed. The twosome descended upon the bowls voraciously Baron growling softly under his breath at his brother. “Quit it.” Came the automatic correction to the noise as the greenrider started separating food for her and S’rei.
Elysia had just about finished when S’rei came back and wound his arms around her from behind. Surprised she jumped slightly and stiffened until she felt his chin on the top of her head. Relaxing muscle by muscle the greenrider nodded to his question, remaining silent until the bronzer continued with another question. The nip to her earlobe was unexpected and she smiled slightly despite the slight anxiety still resting in her breast. “Okay. I know you wouldn’t call me anything I hated. You’re not that mean.” Relaxing more into his embrace Elysia snorted softly. “I make a lot of noise.” Pausing briefly she continued. “Yes. I can understand that. Though you know this means that I’ll have to come up with something for you too. Cuddles maybe?” She teased softly one hand coming up to thread into S’rei’s hair. Faranth maybe she was crazy, damaged, hard to handle at times. But…she did love the frustrating man, bronzer or not. The last thing she wanted was for S’rei to leave her. Not that he had given any signs that he would. Best chase the thought from her mind.

You do so love terrorizing anything smaller than yourself, the bronze commented with amusement. And likely bigger than herself, too, when it came right down to it. Like rider like dragon? Onyth was not so confusing as Hers, but humans were always confusing so that really wasn't saying all that much in the long run. Yes, I think I could be convinced to engage in such tiring activities after drills, but I might need a little coaxing. He nipped her shoulder gently.
Mhir was getting sleepy again. In fact, it was only the uncomfortable rumble in his tummy that kept him from curling right back up there on the table and passing out for another couple candlemarks. All that nice rubbing and stroking just relaxed him so...He crooned sweetly to Elysia when she offered him some food, rubbing up against her hand while grasping the meat between two tiny forelegs and gnawing on it eagerly. Breakfast! Now he could fill his tummy and take another nap.
Startled her, had he? At least she was relaxing against him, if somewhat slowly, though that in itself gave him the clue that she was still feeling pretty insecure about everything. Elysia didn't usually lock up around him. That was Aliscia. All these women and their weirdness. Live with them for months and they still go stiff as a board. He'd never raised a hand to either of them, either.
There we go. Much better. "Yes," he agreed with a chuckle. More noise than she should make, really, considering it confused the matter when she had a genuine problem with something, but...she'd learn. Or she'd deal with having to get her point across through others' doubts. Simple as that. "Cuddles." He wrinkled his nose, not that she could see it from where he nuzzled her neck lightly.
"Yeah, how about no?" Arms tightened about her in one last squeeze and then he stepped past her to finish setting up breakfast and flopped rather unceremoniously into a chair. "There's nothing sexy about Cuddles. You have to call me something sexy, or the name doesn't do me any justice," he stated with a complete straight face. (It helped that he was only partially joking.)

Onyth purred in response to Salenth’s comment her eyes whirling a touch faster as she responded. And I love terrorizing you as well. I suppose that makes me an equal opportunity type lady now doesn’t it? Not that the bronze was wrong. The green did so love playing around with things. Toying with them. Their reactions tended to be quite amusing. Especially if they chose to challenge her back. Her mate’s positive response to her suggested games only had Onyth pressing into him more, a soft pleased sound rumbling through her chest. Her muzzle rubbed affectionately against the curve of Salenth’s neck as he lowered his head to nip gently at her shoulder. Don’t worry my handsome. I am sure I can come up with plenty of encouragement for you. Besides. I think we’ll be getting our oiling this afternoon after all. At least if her bonded’s current better mood held. It was rather nice for hers to have a mate that actually seemed to fit well for once.
Her hand continued to almost idly play through S’rei’s hair as Elysia all but completely relaxed back into him. His agreement to her statement had her snorting softly again. Though she really couldn’t blame the bronzer for agreeing, especially when she had said it in the first place. Besides. It was true. The greenrider did tend to make noise about near everything. Rarely did she let a topic slide by without having at least something to say about the matter. “Yes Cuddles.” The woman repeated before half closing her eyes in response to the light nuzzle. It was almost worse when he kept the contact so light sometimes. Especially with the current need for celibacy. It only had her craving more contact in the end. Really she might die before this whole stupid dry spell ended. And yes she was being dramatic, but the fact remained. It sucked. She was so looking forward to their little trip. Hell she might not let him leave the bedroom.
Thankfully S’rei’s voice drew some of her attention away from her thoughts and the residual feelings from the nuzzle. Elysia smiled as he squeezed her a final time though the bronzer wouldn’t see it from his position behind her. Her dark eyes followed him as he stepped past her to finish arranging their breakfast and then flop into a chair in that careless manner he had. Moving towards him the greenrider perched herself on the arm of his chair and leaned forward to grab a piece of fruit commenting as she did so. “I quite like Cuddles. I think it’s cute. You don’t want to be cute? Actually it’s worse then Dem’s pet name I think.” Yes, Puppy just made Dmitri sound so manly. Was it wrong that she would find it amusing for S’rei to have an even more adorable pet name then his son? The woman couldn’t help the amused expression that crossed her face at the latter part of her weyrmate’s comment.
“Oh Faranth forbid it not do your sexiness justice. That would be a great disservice to Pern in general.” Elysia’s tone made it clear that she was just teasing, though her eyes did briefly stray over the bronzer’s chest in appreciation. You would really never guess he was almost forty two. Chewing slowly on the piece of fruit she swallowed it before continuing. “I swear one day your head will be too big to fit through our door. But fine I’ll agree not to call you something silly either. I think that’s fair.” Now she just had to come up with something that actually did fit. A sort of tall order to fill. But she had all day and then some to come up with something.

Oh? Terrorizing me? That must be a constant disappointment for you, the bronze commented, still amused by the entire conversation. Salenth was pretty sure he hadn't been 'terrorized' by anything in quite some time. He knew he'd been in so-called 'scary' situations before, even if the details were fuzzy. And more than enough times to become immune to them, yet alone one little green. Mine has been so busy lately that an oiling would indeed be most pleasing. Some of my normal itchy spots are becoming quite bothersome.
Much, much better. Tempramental Elysias were only minimally better than skittish Elysias. A playful, comfortable one was his favorite. Or one of his favorites. He had to admit that he also had a fondness for the wickedly challenging one as well as the helpless one, but those last two usually only manifested between the sheets and it did him little good to dwell too much on that with Mhir still so little.
The arm of the chair just wasn't enough, though, and S'rei's arm snaked out to pull her down on his knee instead, even as he placed his other foot directly on the table beside the tray, arm snug around her while he reached for a roll that had already been buttered. And, rather than argue the sexiness angle with her, he merely smirked knowingly at the look she was giving his bare chest.
"I already have to duck. What is this someday business?" he questioned, nudging her in the side while he deliberately 'misunderstood' her comment. "And anyway, my son is on the cute side. He moves like a woman without curves, and he's all mouth. Besides, he acts more like Erilena's pet than anything else. Puppy fits him. Just because the kid's my son and you seem to have a particular fondness for the men in my family doesn't mean we're all that much alike," he added, pinching her side.
S'rei gave his weyrmate a sly look. "In fact, given your propensities, it's probably your fault he plays the submissive to her. Ruined him. A man should have time to find his stride before you sink your claws into him, or he loses his spine." The bronzerider nipped at her jaw, the amusement behind his eyes indicating that he was teasing her. (Even if most of what he was saying was true. Fifteen turn olds with dominant women...poor kid had no idea what the natural order of things between a man and a woman were. Not that his wife seemed to mind, and S'rei wasn't worried about it; Erilena, from what he'd seen of her, wasn't the type to take advantage of the teenager's submissiveness.)

Au contraire my Salenth. I get quite a bit of pleasure out of playing with you. Why should such disappoint me? I don’t have to terrorize you in mean ways now do I? Onyth remarked, her tone bordering on flirtatious as her tail slipped from his to caress over that ticklish area she had found briefly. There were other ways to play with things that didn’t involve violence. The female’s jaws parted slightly her eyes whirling with contentment as her muzzle followed the line of the bronze’s neck and to his shoulders. Oh? Well that certainly won’t do at all. We’ll be sure to get you pampered as you deserve. As she spoke Onyth started nibbling delicately on an almost dry looking area between the male’s shoulders. As soon as you get back from drills, and yours goes to the most boring part of his day, I promise we’ll kidnap mine and use her as slave labor.
Elysia would be lying if she said she didn’t expect capture at some moment during breakfast. It was part of the reason she had perched on the arm of his chair instead of sitting in one of her own. S’rei normally couldn’t quite resist having her that close and not touching her in some way she had noted. And the greenrider was far from complaining. Elysia enjoyed the light and easy touches. At least when she wasn’t feeling anxious and awkwardly aloof for one reason or another. Instead of pulling against the tug into his chair and onto his leg the woman went with it. Adjusting herself comfortably Elysia’s dark eyes met S’rei’s her own reflecting a bit of amusement at the knowing look he gave her. Yes she was looking at him. Appreciating him. So what? She barely resisted the urge to pinch his nipple just for a better response. Maybe a growl. Food was a stronger call right then though. Lucky break for the bronzer.
As he reached for his roll the greenrider stole a piece off it and stuffed it into her mouth before he could react. Her eyes rolled briefly in response to the nudge and the ducking comment. “Yes clearly we should make the doorframes taller to accommodate the giants of the weyr. As well as those who have big heads.” Though really that might not be all that bad of an idea seeing as how they had quite a few looming about lately. Or so it seemed. A light chuckle left her throat at the later comment though. “Poor Dmitri. He is quite the graceful thing for a man isn’t he?” The handler did move more like a dancer then anything else. Graceful like a deer. And certainly slim muscled enough to resemble a deer as well really. “Maybe I should get him a collar for his twentieth birthday next turn? I can only imagine the comments he’d have on that one.”
It was an amusing thought to Elysia anyway. A thought which she didn’t dwell on to long solely because S’rei took that moment to pinch her. Squirming slightly away from him with a growl Elysia leaned forward to snap her teeth just shy of his neck in reaction. “Oh you certainly are alike in some ways dearest. Though not as much in others either you’re right.” For example there was nothing submissive about the bronzer at all. Not unless he chose to play at submission and even then most times he managed to mess that up too by being defiant. It was highly amusing really. Almost like S’rei was truly incapable of being anything but dominant. Which really might not be that far from the truth. Glancing sidelong at her weyrmate and catching his look she couldn’t help but chuckle. “My fault? How evil of me. I told you I was no angel.” Though the greenrider knew he was mostly teasing her, in ways perhaps, the bronzer’s words made some sense. Dmitri had been rather young at the time they were together and he was a bit submissive. Oh there had been the occasion when the handler had shown a bit of spine and challenged her when they were together but for the majority it was Elysia that held the leash so to speak. Perhaps it was good thing that Erilena was as she was. Elysia approved of Dmitri’s choice in mate oddly enough. She certainly seemed to fit him well enough and she wasn’t overbearing. Yes he could have done much worse.
A soft purr left the woman’s throat in response to the nip and she reached over for her own roll to munch on before offering S’rei a piece of fruit. “I’ve quite the set of claws bronzer. You’d do well to remember that.” As she spoke she trailed her fingernails briefly over his chest her dark eyes gaining a rather seductive quality before she simply dropped her hand and went back to eating her breakfast in earnest. Teasing the bronzer never got old. Especially when there wasn’t a damn thing he could do about it. Perhaps having Mhir around wasn’t such a bad thing after all. Right now however Elysia was mostly just enjoying the return to a more pleasant morning. Much better then the bickering they tended to do quite a bit at times. It was a real shame that S’rei would be leaving for drills soon.

The bronze rumbled and shifted away from her questing tail, using a foreleg to pin it before it could become more of a threat than it already was. I suppose I was taking the word 'terrorize' too literally, wasn't I? He was more than willing to submit to her ministrations, however, as it relieved some of the itching that had been bothering him (albeit only a little). This kidnapping plot...how is it that you plan to go about it?
S'rei actually thought that raising the doorframe would be a brilliant idea...if it were at all feasible. He was sure he was losing a sizeable chunk of his brain cells to that frame. It was the problem with not fully waking up right away, so the necessity to duck didn't quite impress itself on him until it was too late as often as not. "A collar, huh?" Like the one she'd put on him not so long ago? He wasn't sure what was more curious, that she was suggesting getting a collar for another woman's husband or that she hadn't gotten him one already despite the fact that they'd been seeing each other for quite awhile. "What makes me so lucky?" he questioned wryly, curiosity getting the better of him.
S'rei raised a brow at her. No angel. "No, I'm pretty sure I'm the angelic one, of the two of us," the bronzerider responded in that playfully arrogant way he had. (It was always hard to tell when he took that tone just how much he actually believed what he was saying. That he was teasing her was obvious, but it was hard not to get the impression from that quietly self-assured attitude he always had that maybe he believed a lot of what he said, too. Certainly he had no lack of confidence.)
There was no missing the slight narrowing of the man's eyes that indicated keen interest in what Elysia was doing, even if he gave no other indication that her comments and nails had any impact on him. "Like I could forget. You like using your claws." He nipped her nose. "Not quite long enough to ensnare me though, kitten. I'm not that easily controlled," he concluded with amusement. No, in fact his dominant weyrmate seemed strangely eager to submit to him of late...at least before Mhir put a stop to such activities.

His shifting oh so amused her and Onyth couldn’t help but undulate her tail in a manner similar to a serpent. Going to get him she was. Amusement flared though her as her mate pinned her ‘weapon’ with his foreleg. Yes darling Salenth. Far too literal. She chided him gently even as she renewed her attack on that dry patch between his shoulders. It was obvious that he was enjoying it and the female did so love pleasing her mate. It made for nice companionship. Give and take as it were, even if the green tended to normally give a bit more then she took. But she always did so with her mates. Not that Onyth remembered any but Salenth. The rest were too far in her past. Turns. And Elysia did not make a habit of remembering her dragon’s pervious mates. Salenth’s question was answered in a playful tone. I imagine like most kidnapping plots. I coax her out here, snag her, and then ‘convince’ her to oil us with a combination of threat and blackmail. But you see I only have to do such dastardly deeds if she will not agree in the nice way first. Laying her head on his shoulder she fixed one slowly whirling eye on him. Have you never kidnapped yours before?
Teasing a piece of fruit around her lips in false innocence before popping it into her mouth Elysia glanced almost coyly at S’rei. Was that slight curiosity in his tone as he mentioned the collar? Should have figured that would get his attention. It had gotten the bronzer’s attention quite nicely the first night she had put it around his neck too. Oh that had been a really fun night. Smiling sweetly at her weyrmate Elysia trailed a fingertip along his collar bone. “Hmm. How to answer that question.” She mused almost playfully her fingertip caressing along back and forth lightly over his skin. “Well you are mine for one. I’m possessive of what is mine and I have no illusions that you are anything but mine. Thus it seemed quite appropriate that I should get you your own collar. You belong to me bronzer.” Just as she belonged to him. But she didn’t have to say that for him to know that did she?
“Besides I’ve found there is a certain thrill in managing to collar a dominant. Your son was mine without the collar. He was a submissive and hardly needed such things to keep him that way.” Maybe she eventually would have gotten Dmitri one. But that was neither here nor there now. The past was the past and though Elysia would admit that she still held a certain amount of fondness for the harper it was nothing like what she felt for S’rei. Besides she and Dmitri hadn’t always been good for each other at all. There were good and bad times like in any relationship. But the greenrider had probably hurt the teenager more then she had ever meant to. There were still things she regretted between them that would probably never fix. Simply because of who they were.
Thoughts on the matter quickly fled though as S’rei continued and Elysia couldn’t stop the short laugh that left her throat. “Indeed. I would have to admit that you’re probably right on that one. Though if you’re the more angelic one then I feel sorry for anyone needing angelic intervention. They are quite screwed between the two of us.” Though hmm. Angel did strangely fit S’rei in ways. At least according to her. “Yessss. Impossible to forget.” Elysia’s eyes roamed briefly over the bronzer’s face and she purred in amusement as S’rei leaned forward to nip her nose. Her nails continued their careful pattern over her weyrmate’s chest her head tilting up toward his as he continued.
Kitten? With the greenrider’s play on feline antics, among other things, kitten fit quite well in her opinion. “Kitten? Like sex kitten?” She questioned teasingly as she nuzzled briefly at his jaw. “Oh I don’t know about that angel.” Elysia drew out the nickname as she pulled slightly away from S’rei’s face. “I think I have you ensnared pretty well.” And she hadn’t needed to use her claws to do either. “It’s the control we are still working on. You’re quite the defiant creature.” she concluded with equal amusement pulling her ‘claws’ back from his chest to wind her arms around him instead. She was determined to get some more cuddling in before he had to tear himself away for drills. Tch. He really should learn to be less dutiful.

Snagging, plus threat and blackmail? No, that typically doesn't work so well when he's privy to my thoughts and would know I'm about to snag him, Salenth responded with a good deal of amusement. His croon deepened as she continued to relieve the dry itchiness he'd been only vaguely experiencing. In fact, he hadn't fully realized it was even going on before she brought it to his attention by her actions.
Oh he was blatantly amused at her. Again. It seemed to be a perpetual state between them, if they weren't spatting, that was. Problem with having a relationship composed of two distinctly strongwilled halves. Hers, hm? More or less, he supposed, given he preferred monogamy and she'd somehow won his affection. (S'rei sometimes thought that his rarely seen emotions liked to play tricks on him by finding the most difficult woman around and latching onto her just to dick with him.) That said, Elysia wasn't Shmee so hopefully it would work out better this time.
Most of the time he thought it would. Occasionally...he had his doubts. That was normal, he supposed, but either way, his being somewhat emotionally compromised made the point rather moot. He'd be stuck for the longterm whether she turned out just as bad or not. Really, he didn't think she would. Really, he hadn't thought Shmee would, either. So there it was. Heh.
Laughing openly at the comment about feeling sorry for anyone needing angelic intervention from the pair of them, he wrapped his arm around Elysia in response to her sudden embrace, bringing his lips by her ear. "You kind of have to collar me to get any sort of control, don't you?" he questioned her in a low murmur, before reaching down to pinch her ass. "It can be sex kitten if you want. I don't have to explain to you the reasoning behind the nickname, just so long as you like it." This was stated archly, before he tilted his head to one side and narrowed his eyes on Salenth.
A moment later, the bronzer kissed Elysia's cheek. "Emergency meeting," he stated flatly, though he couldn't imagine what they had to meet so urgently about when they were due to meet later in the day. "I'll make sure I get back earlier this evening. I promise." Setting her on her feet carefully before slipping out of the chair himself, he went to put on a shirt before striding through the door, not caring if he still looked a bit bedtousled. It wasn't like anyone really gave a damn anyway.
