K'sel couldn't help but chuckle at the thought of A'emi's or F'ur's reaction to his new look. Personally he was planning on playing it off as if nothing was out of the ordinary. Maybe he could make it into a game to see how long it would take before one of his companions made a comment about it, "Oh, I'm sure that at least one of them will have a smart remark about it all... male bonding dictates it, but regardless they'll be jealousss..." he curled the words into a smokey tendril and neglecting to mention that this was assuming that he didn't wash it off before hand. As the paint dried it always tended to get a bit itchy, and well as it was he already had bugs and dust and plant itches to contend with, so there was no telling how practical it would be to keep his war decor on display or even underneath his shirt...
His shirt that was currently falling off. Being you know, she was nibbling away at his buttons. Kinky, but sort of expected from the woman, "Oh good, I might as well look the part I play now, don't you think? And I'm sure the feathers and the loin cloth can be arranged. Actually I would have my pants off by this point today normally, but you know, stripping down really would attract too much attention. Some Hold Heir would see my junk and be traumatized..." he mimicked, for a moment, the act of a lady fainting in shock with the back of his head rising to meet his forehead, "and then the Holds would be at war... so..." obviously he was joking once again, but there was some truth in his words. Face-paint-strip-tease would not go over well what so ever.
"Now..." he mused as he looked at the colors again. He reached down into the yellow that Elysia had not long ago used herself, and began working on her face, moving oh so slowly so as not to cause her to flinch or... gut him for being too fast. Starting above her brow he began the top spire of a star before coming down and zig-zagging the outline around the rest of her eye. Flicking the excess off his fingers he reached down for some blue paint to give the cosmic design a swirling trail of dust behind it. Clearly impressed by his work he pulled back and nodded, giving his approval via a tacky comment more akin to a pick-up line than anything, "Oh my Kitty, you are simply out of this world..."

Elysia smiled seductively at K’sel and trailed her fingers along his chest, adding to her former markings. A tiger eye in the middle of the hand print on his pectoral for example. “Oh they should be jealous. Not many get to be privileged enough to play with this feline.” She purred in a happy tone. And really she was being honest. The greenrider wasn’t quite as loose as she liked people to believe. She was more a ridiculous tease then anything else. And certainly a cold bitch. Oh she had had her flings. But probably no more then your average greenrider. That didn’t mean that everyone had to know that though. Having her reputation was quite nice. It served it’s purpose extremely well. It kept people at a distance. Unless she chose to let them in a little. Yes K’sel was perhaps more lucky then he realized. The Benden woman did not make many friends.
A short laugh greeted her company’s comment. Oh that was just funny. “Oh yes. You must certainly play the part of tiger jungle warrior. Swinging though trees, roaring at unsuspecting passerby, leaping onto your prey like a crazed madman.” Elysia commented in amusement before she continued. “Most certainly wouldn’t want to start a tragic holder war over your no doubt amazing package. I am curious though. No pants in the afternoons.” She trailed a finger along his thigh then. “Is that something like wearing no panties on your day off? Or are you just an afternoon nudist?” Dark eyes danced with playful light as she teased him and then dipped her hand in more paint, reaching forward to start painting his face in orange with black stripes.
When K’sel reached over towards her face Elysia stilled her own painting and strove to stay still. His concentration face was rather amusing. Though she didn’t voice it. It wasn’t difficult to make out what he was framing her eye with. A star hmm? Better then rainbows or a flower she supposed. The trail of star dust to draw attention to it tickled a little and the greenrider froze again until the brownrider pulled his hand away. In retaliation to his tacky comment Elysia winked and struck a pose before stretching slowly like a pleased cat and purring. “Oh don’t I know it.” Going back to paining his face she couldn’t resist a return comment. “And you’re just looking puuurfectly dangerous.” Putting the finishing touches on his tiger face she smiled. “Well then I think my masterpiece is complete. Where’s a mirror when you need one eh?”

K'sel hummed delightedly as she finished work on his living canvas; some kind of unrecognizable sort of tune that more or less sounded to be from the throat of a feline than anything melodic, but nonetheless displayed his contentment. Elysia's doodles were not so bad if he could say so himself, but then he wasn't exactly an art critic despite the short stint that he spent at the harper hall. That was a place that shaped him not so much in form or craft but demeanor, and he was always sure to keep tight lipped about it. Luckily those that he could count amongst his friends such as Elysia would never have a reason to ask about that little chapter in his life, just as Nephele nor Erilena never did either. As good as it was to have friends, everyone deserved to keep their secrets too.
He never really ran out of words to say, but he remained quiet enough in response to some of the greenrider's remarks. As she was working on her final touches he couldn't help begin to plan out his own until he was interrupted by the bit about afternoon pantlessness, "I suppose its like taking 'going commando' to the next level, I dunno, it just gets hot in the crotchal region. Let me tell you, if I ever was injured and regulated to some kind of stationary job behind a desk or something. I wouldn't wear pants ever. Who would know?" Of course, being given some kind of task that required him to sit in one place for the rest of his life would probably break his spirit and would be the tragedy of all tragedies for him. He'd rather not think about such depressing topics.
With some black paint he began to rib the side of her neck with his own rendition of tiger stripes - wavy and pointed at the tips - one right over the other as they progressed down to her shoulder. One stripe might have even crawled itself a little deeply as to push the hem of her collar down before giving up. He clearly had a lot of fun teasing too, though it was for now coming to an end, "There we go... I think that I'm finished as well. Now..." he admired his work one last time and then looked down at the markings of his own, even tracing the outline of her painted eye for a moment before redirecting his full attention back on Eylsia's face, "Isn't it your turn to pick a fun activity? You have me dying of anticipation."

K’sel’s little concert was accompanied occasionally by soft purrs of her own. Elysia had nearly perfected the art of purring over the years. Perhaps that’s why she so enjoyed comparing herself to a feline. A feral stray who belonged to no one and did what she wanted. Well for the most part. Unfortunately in life there were rules and controlling higher ups that you never could quite escape despite your best efforts. Maybe that’s why she envied her brown riding companion a bit right now. He could go wherever the wind took him. Him and his small pack. The curiosity as to who exactly he was traveling with was killing her. But she didn’t ask. Seemed wrong to pry for that info. He certainly wasn’t prying to find out where she currently resided.
Dark eyes flicked back up to K’sel as he spoke and another soft chuckle left her throat. “Desk job hmm? Sounds like it would be terrible to be trapped behind a desk. Even if you did get to stay half naked. All that sitting. Tch.” Needless to say Elysia completely would agree that being regulated to something so binding and stationary would be a fate probably a bit worse then death. Bonds had their time and place but she would rather prefer to never be bound. In any sense of the word if she could help it. No the greenrider was way too much of a control freak. Oh she listened to her wingleaders out of necessity and because it had been beaten into her very being that she was required to. But in all other aspects of her life she very much liked to be the one in complete control.
Elysia stilled as K’sel began to paint the side of her neck. Suppressing a slight shiver at the sensation her eyes slipped half closed so she could regard him from underneath her lashes. All in all she could count this little painting session a success. It had been much more fun then she thought and Tiger looked spectacular. Maybe she wasn’t such a bad artist after all. The collar diving stripe caused amusement to dance in her eyes but the greenrider didn’t bother to comment again till the brownrider spoke again. “We are quite the artists. I think everyone else is a bit jealous.” A glance was given to some of the other participants of the ‘actual’ contest before she smiled a feral grin at K’sel. “I suppose it is my turn isn’t it? My particular brand of fun normally runs along more dangerous lines usually.” Which really was a pity when you were trying to keep things secret. “The name of the game is normally chaos. See how big of a mess you can create without getting noticed or caught. A bit of a challenge when you are trying to be ‘stealthy’. But I suppose that’s not really intelligent when we are supposed to be hiding…” With those words the benden woman frowned and then pouted at K’sel. “Unless you have any ideas on how to make chaos without getting caught?”

K'sel pondered for a moment the concept Elysia presented before saying in the almost sagely way his voice meandered, "We would still be hiding my dear..." he took a few steps ahead of her, wishing almost that he could take her hand and lead her himself, but he feared the rebuke that would surely come from such an independent creature. Instead he drew his gaze over his shoulder for a pleading second, half checking his surroundings for prying eyes between lustful glances, "We're just testing our worth," remarkably however, the intensity of his gaze was not born of some carnal desire, but nonetheless a drive impure. He wanted to share in a secret, the real truth of his being under that scruff and furrowed brow, and as such there was the danger that came in words unspoken: the realization that things may not always be what they seem. How deep underneath the scruff and furrowed brows was the mischievous boy who missed out on the coming of age?
Drawing his knife he rounded the corner of one of the canvas tents that housed the insufferable wares of some filthy treacherous pawn dealer. The shadow of the merchant and the customers within blackened the sides of the cloth palace, but the brownrider paid them no mind as he lowered his blade to waist level and used the tip to pluck at the rope tethers teasingly. But come now, why leave evidence when one didn't have to? After a moments thought, and a look over at his greenriding accomplice he smiled and sheathed his weapon before connecting the sole of his boot with the wooden peg in the ground. It took only a few kicks before the steak was loosened... a few more to do the same to the solitary pin that held down the other side. With a hand placed on the now sagging rope he motioned silently for her to follow his suit and help the tent on it's way and pull the strings fully away.
He already had it planned out. With the partial collapse of the white walls onto the small group their identities could remain concealed as they ghosted their way around around corner and to the safety of the crates and kegs that piled alongside the twin tent that stood off to their other side. There they could revel in the trouble they have made and laugh together about the miniature fit the stallmaster would be sure to throw.

A perfectly manicured eyebrow rose as K’sel spoke. Oh she wanted to ask him how that would work. Very badly. But well that would ruin the surprise and she rather liked surprises. Like a curious feline she regarded him, her head slightly tilted to the left before he started to move. Without hesitation the greenrider followed after the painted hobo warrior. His almost pleading look was given a reassuring one in response. Lead the way Tiger. She was right behind him.
The woman moved in a near predatory glide after him her own eyes flicking to the crowds and passing people as well. Never lingering but searching for slight movements that would indicate tenseness or recognition. But it seemed no on in the crowd was interested in them. Good. An excitement started to build in the exiled greenrider’s chest. One borne of the desire to crate chaos. It was always fun and even better when you had a willing partner. A feral smile was flashed to K’sel when he looked back at her again. Testing their worth indeed.
As K’sel drew his belt knife and rounded the corner of one of the canvas tents Elysia slipped around it from the other side before meeting him at their intended destination. Dark eyes briefly flicked to the moving shadows before going back to her partner in this venture, excitement dancing in them like flashes of light in the dark. As he plucked at the rope tethers with his knife the greenrider smiled encouragingly but made no sound. Stealth was needed and why say with words what you could say with a look? Slipping up behind the brownrider silently, she watched him kick the peg loose and then moved to follow suit with the other one. Trailing a appreciative touch along K’sel’s shoulder Elysia moved to comply and seized the other sagging rope. She was only too happy to help bring the curtain down so to speak. Waiting for his signal she flashed him an immensely pleased look before pulling the rope free.
Spiriting away from the falling tent and it’s now cursing and flailing occupants she kept close to K’sel as he lead her around the corner and to their safe spot. Slipping amongst the crates and barrels Elysia then turned to him and grabbed his shirt, full on kissing him in her excitement and as a thanks. Letting him go and releasing his shirt the greenrider peered around the crate so she could behold the beautiful chaos they had created. Turning back to him she laughed. “That was amazing Tiger. Did you see the look on his face?” If not he would certainly be able to hear his angry shouts as they were now rising in volume. It felt so very good to create chaos sometimes.

And down those flimsy walls went. The only shame of it all was that K'sel couldn't stay to bask in the glory of the chaotic mess before them, instead he had to be quick on his feet - while still not making it all too obvious that he was running away from the scene of the crime - and with the smooth grace of a jungle dweller, side stepped across the gap between tents before rounding the corner to the crates and barrels with a couple of well timed steps. Before even checking to see if the coast was clear the brownrider felt that distinct bubbly feeling of success rise up from his chest and pin up the corner of his lips into a smile. One that he didn't mind anyone seeing. He was just having much too much fun, to the point where even Pettahth found it prudent to comment, You certainly are more dangerous when having fun. Interesting... Yeah, well... idle hands...
Speaking of hands, he felt a pair of them seize him, and for a moment he considered the possibility that vengeance had taken hold and he would have to defend himself against the wrath of an angry Hyphen man (though taking the beating would probably be appropriate since well, he was the shit disturber in this case, and any fancy moves would much too easily tip off spectators to his identity as a rider and not some grungy troubadour). Luckily, when he snapped his head to attention it was merely an Elysia. She would be scarier than most, but then she was what he considered to be a friend... a friend who just happened to like close contact A LOT.
Not that there was anything wrong with this.
Everyone expressed themselves differently, and K'sel imagined there were worse ways, so he took the kiss appreciatively, lightly setting his hands about her sides for support and trying not to break it with a boyish laugh. Flicking his tongue he pulled away as she let go, and mused to her briefly in his teasing tone, "Now now... I think we did a job of smudging our face paint around..." Because he was sure that she was oh-so concerned about this... just like himself... not.
He stepped behind the woman, popping his head around the corner and over her head to make a trouble maker totem pole for just an instant until he leaned back to allow her space again. Besides, K'sel couldn't help but laugh a little bit himself - erm actually a whole lot. Fighting back the rolling guffaws he held up his hand as he cleared his throat and tried to breathe out some kind of coherent response, "I almost feel bad... guy sounds like he is gonna pop a vein. Almost..." Nah, there wasn't a whole lot of guilt about the little feat. It was harmless after all, and the reward of the thrill greatly outweighed any sort of remorse, "So... your move..."

After letting him go Elysia’s dark eyes fixed themselves briefly on K’sel’s face taking in his expression and words with an amused smile. “Smudges hmm? I say we are just doing an expressionist piece. I’d also hazard to comment that it looks much better now.” She purred trailing fingers along his face before taking in the chaos and the shouting man again. Slipping back further amongst the crates and barrels, with soft chuckles escaping her lips, the greenrider covered her mouth with the back of her hand. K’sel’s laughter was one of those infectious types and she didn’t want to give them away because once she got laughing she got rather loud. Wouldn’t do to get herself throttled by some irate holder. Not that she’d let that happen which was a problem in itself. Something told her that some drab dressed holder women beating the snot out of a man would draw a bit of attention.
As the brownrider tried to make a coherent response Elysia found herself becoming more and more amused. The laughter escaped despite herself when it became apparent that K’sel was still trying to hold his back. “He does….doesn’t he?” She managed between breaths as she wrapped her arms around herself to try and hold in some of the laughter. Dark eyes reflected open amusement as she raised her head to look at her companion again. Oh she was having way too much fun and her move? Hmm. For a moment the greenrider considered this fact before a pop announced a firelizard emerging from between. Alighting on her shoulder Baron gave a polite chirp to K’sel before flashing his bonded a series of images that had her laughter trailing off and a serious look flashing across her face. A mild frown was given the firelizard before she sighed. Just great. Had to be summoned when she was just starting to really get into the game.
Trailing fingers down the firelizard’s spine Elysia sent him off with a mental answer and stalked toward K’sel. Grabbing his shirt again she tugged him close and growled. “Listen here Tiger. We’re going to meet again. Got it? I don’t have many friends. Thus you’re not allowed to die. Or I’ll drag you back from hell.” Smiling after her statement she kissed his cheek and released him. “I have to go.” The regret in her tone was tangible. “I had fun.” Stepping back from him the greenrider offered her companion a wink. “Don’t forget me.” With that the greenrider took a few steps back from her position, turned, and slipped into the crowd. Damn it all and damn E’rro.
