"I could think of a few people who would snicker... audibly. Very audibly... and probably to your face." Well really, only one really stood out, but he shoved Dmitri to the back of his mind. He'd do it too if he hadn't been the one to actually come up with the term, such was life. "Oh man. I would hate to be stuck in the apartments all the time. I'd want to go on patrol! But I wouldn't mind helping with stuff once in a while. Nautsk doesn't have the best stamina in the world." Taping the heel of one of his boots to the toe of the other, he twined his fingers together so he could rest his chin on them. "I'm sure there's someone in the Oldies that wouldn't mind doing paperwork. I have a theory that once you hit forty, you either can't stand paperwork that hasn't been filed correctly and you just simply have to make it better, or you simply hate it and do whatever you can to avoid it. I think it really depends on what kind of personality you have when you're younger."
He turned to eye Eikane, his head still resting on his hands. "Four? Sisters no less? Oh my, that must have been rather chaotic. I mean, I like spending time around my friends who are girls, " He rearranged his words just to make sure there was no confusion about him not having a significant other, "but having to live with sisters would, for me, get a little tiring. Especially if they were older." He smiled. Tizzy shoved a picture of Nautsk into Nautic's mind and offered a faint trace of hunger to go along with it, the sudden intrusion making the Wherhandler jump slightly. "Oh, oh! My poor Nautsky." Grabbing Tizzy, he offered the Firemandyr his shoulder before standing up to face Eikane. "I'm sorry, but I have to go. I forgot that I promised my Green that I'd take her to the feeding grounds as soon as I was done. I got all caught up with talking to you..." He paused. "I'm fortunate she's patient, but she's also very hungry." Stepping over the bench, Nautic collected his plate. "Why don't we have lunch.... next week? Maybe on the fifth day? I'll send Tizzy over to your Apartments with a time or something."
He didn't want to go, but Nautsk came before both socializing and flirting. Offering the Goldhandler another smile, he tucked some of his hair behind his ear before fleeing to stash his dishes and exit the dining hall. His Wher called. "Taa~! Bye Eikane!"
