The bluerider grinned at his new younger companion. "Sure." He picked up his bag, and slung it over his shoulder again. It thumped lightly into place, as the Harper-rider strolled off toward the main square. Time to see about some real fun.
"I have a pretty good ear. If you can hold a note at all, I might be able to pick up your favorites for you." He offered the lad as they walked. "If you want, you can lead, and I can match it up." It should be fairly easy. E'yan was quite skilled with his gitar, and had an ear for music that far surpassed his ability to read and write it. And - at least in his own opinion - he was fairly good at the reading and writing. He prefered memorizing works, though, rather than having to read them.
Not that any of his written material was anything that he tended to share with the world at large. They'd think he was totally looped. It was more the stuff that dragon-crazy young lads and lasses dreamt up before they knew anything remotely realistic about dragons ... or any other whimsical thing such as. Or ... just whatever popped into his head at the moment. It never rhymed at all, and there was never anything historic about it. Thus his own opinion on it was all he had. And since he wrote it, naturally he liked it.
Strains of music already underway could he beard from the square, a jolly active tune that soon had E'yan humming along. While he didn't have nearly the same quality voice that T'kal did, he was no bad vocalist, himself. Being more than just somewhat older, E'yan's voice nolonger had the youthful luster that T'kal still possessed. Not that it had ever been that fine. He was, however, very good at hitting those really deep notes.
"Sounds like they're already underway without us!" He said, jovially, as they started being able to hear the dancers' feet pounding out the rythem, and thier shouts hitting on the high points.
