N'rik had turned to watch the hatching again while Tenlie spoke and missed seeing the girl as she passed. "Who? Where?" he frowned, trying to spot her in the crowd. He shrugged without concern. "Don't think so," he answered. He wasn't sure why he should when Tenlie didn't. Probably just a new candidate or the like. N'rik honestly didn't care if Candidates Impressed or not, since he himself had Impress Alph long before he'd even been a Candidate. He turned back to Corvin in time to catch his question.
"Nope, you get to name them," he answered with a grin. "At least if they let you." He was glad Corvin liked Alph's name. He'd wanted his salamandyr to have one of the best names. He was about to say something else when the other boy looked away and towards the clutch. N'rik caught what he was looking at and shook his head in disbelief. Some people had all the luck! "Hey, congrats!" he called waving. Alph was more than a little relieved. Nearly all the babies were gone now and soon he would be safe with his N'rik again. He did hope the little green found someone though. It was just too sad watching her.

Hoayamae stared at Cotton for a moment. She wondered which was worse: that the rule against candidates impressing salmandyrs was clearly failing; or that the pesky little creature was so darn sneaky! "That is not an excuse for risking yer future, young lady," she scowled, but let Rosanna's arm go. "Haven't they told yah what might happen to yer dragon should yah get one?" She sigh and threw up her hands in defeat. She could already see several other candidates with new friends and it was certainly a lost cause now. "Fine, stay the lot of you! Clearly no one cares to listen to their elders anymore," she muttered.
With her hands on her hips, she called a bit louder above the crowd. "All yah candidates hiding about where yah don't belong can help me clean up the Hall after!" Loud enough to be heard, but hopefully not so loud as to bother the remaining hatchlings. Mae couldn't quite see if they were all gone yet. There, maybe that would teach them to ignore rules. Probably wouldn't help in the end, most of them were already in over their heads. Still, she couldn't just let them get away with it, could she?

She acknowledged Ka’aen’s assurance that the goop would come out with a quiet hum, and was looking around frantically for something, anything to get the goopy mess out while Ka’aen conferred with Rhiiseth for a moment. Then he spoke, and her eyes snapped up to his, blue depths grinning from her very soul. If there was one thing Dia was good at, it was smiling with her eyes. The smile sombered a bit when he spoke about the circles hating each other and she felt the familiar pang of worry and fear in the pit of her stomach.
She’d heard about the wasteland invasion, even as isolated as she was working with the dolphins at blossom. Something that big is really sort of hard to hide from the world. She had, at this point, still been pissed at her siblings. She was angry at them for leaving and told herself that she was never going to speak to them again…but they were her brothers.
And they were in danger.
She sighed softly, giving Ka’aen a helpless grin. Her voice was marginally quieter than it had been before, and there was a faint edge of hurt in her voice, but she tried to keep that out. “What can you do about it now?” She asked, searching his eyes for…something before continuing. “Make the best of what you have.”
Of course she was still leaning on the man, eyes schooled on the nest carefully, making out the forms of little salamandyrs on the table. The man was trying to explain the impressions when the big bronze made his way straight towards her. She was stunned at the sudden weight on her shoulder. He wasn’t all that big, but he was bigger than anything she had ever had on her before. She stared in wide eyed enchantment for a moment as the baby crooned at her, and began to massage her shoulder.
She didn’t know what impression felt like, but she was fairly certain this wasn’t it…this was something else. She knew what is was as soon as she looked up and say Ka’aen staring at the salamandyr. It took her all of about a second before her face broke out into a brilliant grin, clapping her hands a little. “Yay! Congratulations, Ka’aen!” She beamed at him, careful of the salamandyr still on her shoulder. The man’s name came off her tongue easily, as did her hand, when she felt the bronze nuzzle her and she scratched him placatingly on his head, egg goo and all.
She grinned even brighter when he spoke about Rhiiseth. “He sounds amazing.” She said without really thinking about it, still scratching the salamandyr. “ Maybe I could meet him sometime?” She offered casually, her voice utterly void of expectations, no matter what her words said. She was happy and friendly in the best of times, and though she’d force her company on people occasionally, if they made it clear that she wasn’t welcome, she didn’t toe the line.
When he moved to go get meat, Diamonique moved so that she wasn’t all up in his way, since she was still essentially leaning on him, watching curiously while scratching his bronze’s neck as he got some meat and walked back over. Her face brightened even more when he asked if she wanted to feed him! “Yes!” She said happily, taking a bit of meat gingerly while he fed the dark salamandyr.
This time, she didn’t mind the egg goop trailing across her cheek when he nuzzled her. Her face broke out in an utterly wicked grin and she handed him the meat she held in her hand, trying to imitate his croon in low tones, stroking a long finger lightly across his back. While Ka’aen and Rhiiseth were busy arguing over names, Dia was busy with the salamandyr, stroking and feeding it like she would one of her own.
“I think they’re arguing over you, little one.” She said in a decidedly amused voice, the playful teasing in her voice clear. She giggled lightly after the ‘argument’ concluded, and the salamandyr had a name. “ Well, Aodh.” She spoke to the salamandyr, still stroking it. “The name fits you. I bet you’ll burn through the weyr like a wildfire.” She said fondly, still petting him. To Ka’aen, she added…“ I think it’s probably a good idea you let Rhiiseth name him. It’s a good name.” And she was playful again, teasing this good looking bluerider who had humored her.
Suddenly, there was a presence in her mind. Solidifying itself. She nearly stumbled, but didn’t quite, wrapping her fingers in Ka’aen’s shirt for a moment while she steadied herself. Blue eyes widened and snapped to the floor, where a distinctly red little salamandyr stood, eyes fading slightly from the rainbows of impression.
“What?” She asked stupidly, still holding onto Ka’aen’s arm like he was grounding her. She blinked rapidly at the red salamandyr who seemed to be thrilled that his girl was already holding meat. Chirupping lightly, he ignored the look of helpless bewilderment on Dia’s face and climbed up her body, streaking her clothing with egg goo until he got to the shoulder Adodh wasn’t occupying. That accomplished, he placed a possessive paw on the girl’s ear and just sat there, eyes hungry. Hungry. He said simply, watching the meat longingly, but not making a move to snap for it. He gazed at Aodh curiously. Brother. He greeted the bronze with a croon, settling down on Dia’s shoulder. He would wait until the bigger bronze had his fill. It wouldn’t do to start a squabble over food while his girl’s head was precariously in the way.
Dia, on the other hand, was confused. She finally let go of Ka’aen, but looked like she might cry probably. “What do I do?” She asked in hushed tones, gaze darting to the red salamandyr on her shoulder.
Someone has to… Romeoth playfully teased the other bronze, his voice a light croon. Rom was thoroughly amused by this little back and forth between them, and at Sparath’s words, he sighed grandly. The sound laced with wistful longing. If only you were here. He mused, a bit of sadness playing into his tone. It’s so much easier to take someone’s breath away when they’re here. He seemed to be thinking for a moment, before he crooned back into Sparath’s mind, his voice low and playful. Write your words on this heart of mine. Listen to the song it sings. Guide this heart of mine forward and teach it the meaning of love. He finished with a purr, head tilting as Sparath continued speaking in a croon.
I was speaking in generalities, darling. Running or chasing, it results in the same awkward, while thoroughly amusing thing. He still wouldn’t let K’ian live down the clusterfuck that was Mouse’s first run. It hadn’t affected him too much, and he had a Khiraeth to spend the night with, so it was a win-win, really…as long at K’ian didn’t manage to get himself eaten by Kyrahth…which he obviously didn’t. A blue? Rom mused happily. Well, they’re marginally less traumatic than the greens…but they’re also less amusing. Rom seemed to like having fun at his Rider’s expense.
K’ian, on the other hand, was still thoroughly amused at the other bronzerider’s predicament, though he had managed to tone that down to manageable and decidedly less offensive levels. At least he wasn’t laughing anymore. He just glanced to Ce’thian with an amiable and amused slant of his grin. “Of course. Anything to get my mind of my own troubles.” Though a salamandyr in the face and a little egg goo on one’s nose was pretty much infinitely less stressful than a mind numbing headache that accompanied endless amounts of paperwork, but K’ian was in good spirits, at least. “ I might be the only one who finds your suffering amusing. Except for maybe Sparath.” He said with another grin.
The man rolled his shoulders. He’d have to take a walk to get this tension out of his body before he went back to his work. Of course, once he got outside and got around, he’d be about a hundred times less likely to do any really productive work. It was like a curse with him. If he started doing something less boring than paperwork, he tended…not to do what was really important.
And his eyes darted back to Ce’thian as the man spoke to him again. With that, K’ian chuckled and shrugged. “ She’s lazier than I am. So she’s probably still sleeping. And I doubt she’d lower herself to attend a queen’s hatching.” The man said with a half amused snort. “ I’m sure she’d try damn hard to be intimidating, but what with the talking backwards thing, it kinda falls short.” Then he grinned even wider at the other man. “ Good thing I don’t expect you to protect me…”
It was then that the blue salamandyr that had previously been fighting with a brown apparently thought Ce’thian would make a fine mindmate…and what an entrance the little one made. K’ian’s grin quirked. “ Maybe I’m the one who should be protecting you. Apparently now I’m undesirable to all things salamandyr...ey.” He blinked, unable to hide the amusement in everything from his posture, to his grin and his eyes…and his movements too as he patted the other man on the back, feigning pity. “ Too bad.” The whole pity thing was ruined by his grin. “Good luck with that one.”
One look from Leviathan was enough to silence King. Not that he was in a big hurry to get in a fight with anyone…over anything. The bronze was content in the fact that these were his children, and the sudden promotion to full sire solidified this in his mind, even with Asshat mysteriously showing up halfway into the hatching. Shells could sweet talk the gold all he wanted, it didn’t make him the father, and it wouldn’t stop King from chasing Leviathan next time she ran, perhaps next time she wouldn’t have to share anything with anyone.
So as eggs hatched, King dutifully played a good minion, sitting regally at his gold’s side, frilling viciously at people who got too close and snapping at wayward hands. No one would harm his children. When Asshat and Shells got into a fight over the left hand throne, he narrowed his eyes, watching it impassively. He was surprised when Shells suddenly started singing his praises, but dismissed it. He was obviously just trying to get a rise out of Asshad. He wasn’t stupid enough to believe that the red salamandyr was in any way a fan of his. Especially now.
Crooning lightly to Leviathan, he tilted his head. Babies are perfect. Like my queen. He said before half leaning over his throne and starting to comfort and pep talk the babies. When Asshat went to the aide of the twin green, King crooned curiously, watching for a moment before he climbed down his sand mount, stepping gingerly over egg shells and babies to come stand by Asshat. They might be rivals at times, but they had to get along for Leviathan’s sake…and the babies. Poor baby. the bronze crooned, stretching out his neck to nuzzle her comfortingly for a moment. Must find human minion, little one. He said sadly, glancing to Asshat. He wasn’t sure this one would make it.
They were both talking…and yet, Sydney’s stubborn nature didn’t let them get anywhere. The boy schooled his features not to take on the frown he really wanted to show. WHY did she have to be so stubborn? He wanted to tell her that it could be exactly the same as it had been. It wasn’t like Sena and he were constantly doing boyfriend/girlfriend stuff. They could keep their hands off each other. But Sydney was convinced that they wanted to be together more than they wanted to be friends with her. It was frustrating and upsetting and kinda felt like talking to a brick wall.
But whatever.
Then Syd impressed, and when she grabbed onto Kaius because of the force of the impression, he held her up, a supportive presence even with the stormy emotions roiling away in his eyes. He was still her friend, exactly the same as he had been before. He wouldn’t abandon her, no matter how much she wanted it. He glanced to the salamandyr impassively, and then Sydney was taking her leave suddenly. It was probably a good idea she impressed…she looked uncomfortable with the conversation. But Kaius just wasn’t going to let her go that easily. Right before he let her go, he tried to catch her gaze for a second, his gaze firm. “ It doesn’t matter, Sydney. It could be exactly the same as it was before if you would just let it…or pretty damn close. Sena and I aren’t looking to change a thing, and we certainly wouldn’t make you uncomfortable. We’re never going to abandon you. Remember that.” Then his tone was softer. “ And I will always be here for you.” With that, he pulled her into a hug, hoping she wouldn’t fight him on this. He wanted to prove to her that he and Sena wouldn’t ever give up on her, no matter how annoyingly stubborn she was. “ And she’s beautiful. Congratulations, Syd.” He whispered affectionately into her ear before pulling away and letting her go, stuffing his hands in his pockets and turning to walk away.
Whatever.
Hatchings sucked…or, they usually did in his experience.

Cheeks turned a deep crimson color as she walked into the crowd - Tserieth was relaying the message from T'ri's Blue. Which in turn meant Roselle realized her Green had said something to T'ri about her. Shards and shells why did her dragon have to get involved in everything?
We share a mind, Rosemine. It is a bit difficult to not be involved in everything. Tserieth mused, sounding rather smug with herself since she knew what was so obvious. Truly Hers could be so dim sometimes.
Finding Cairenn she watched over the girl's shoulder for awhile as she fed the Brown salamandyr. "I see you found yourself a new friend." She was smiling but there was a tinge of concern in her voice. She heard the headwoman's voice raise above the others and she immediately regretted shooing her niece towards the clutch. Now she had Impressed one of the darn things and was going to be punished. Shards.
"I'll stick around and help you help the headwoman clean. I... forgot that Candidates are not permitted to Impress salamandyrs... Their bonds are nearly as strong as a dragon's." Roselle explained in a hushed voice to her niece, "What did you name him?"
Should not compare those dreadful things to one such as me, Rosemine. A dragon is a much better bond, a much better choice. Tserieth piped up, speaking to both her rider and Cairenn.
============================================
Concern washed over the bluehandler's features as he watched The Lovers Green become less and less responsive. He could hear the two... clutchfathers?... encouraging the weak surviving twin to pick a mindmate, but she did not seem eager to do so. Lost in her sorrow it seemed. He stepped closer to the table once more, fully aware he was risking the wrath of Leviathan with his proximity to her remaining baby. Taking a piece of meat from the bowl he tossed it underhanded - lightly - towards the Green and the two adult salamandyrs. Maybe if they could get her to eat she would choose someone?
Swisk had picked up on his handler's emotions and grumbled somewhere in the back on Swithin's mind. Rolling his eyes a bit Swithin just stayed there watching the Green carefully, as it seemed not many others save the salamandyrs were showing any interest or giving her any attention. Surely he wasn't the only one moved by the Lovers plight?

Cairenn looked up from feeding her new bondmate as she heard her aunt's voice, and spotted her waving arm, moving back in Roselle's direction. It seemed Roselle had spotted her, first, as they met halfway, and Cairenn lifted Fun carefully off her shoulder, poking the salamandyr up towards her aunt's face. Fun, for his part, draped himself glumly over His' hand, giving Roselle a troubled look with his round eyes as Cairenn said, "Look, auntie! I got one! His name is Fun! Isn't he amazing?"
As Roselle spoke, however, Cairenn's expression went from happiness to worry as she learned she had made a mistake in attending the hatching. Pulling Fun back towards her chest, draping a hand over him to try to hide the 'mandyr from view, she whispered, "Oh, no! I... I didn't know! What are they going to do? Are they going to take away my Candidacy? Am I going to be sent back to Hyphen?" Hearing his bonded's words and feeling her fear, Fun sent to His, "Fret not, mine. The mistake not yours. Fun should not have bonded, get you in trouble. Fun will go away, if it would make Cairennmine's life easier..." With that, the newly-hatched brown slipped free of Cairenn's fingers, gliding downward to land on Roselle's ankle. Looking up at the greenrider, he sent to her, "Please keep Mine safe, she be sad that I gone. But it be for best. Better Fun die than Mine get in trouble." And with that, he attempted to slip beneath Roselle's boot, hoping the woman would crush his tiny body beneath her heel and remove the trouble he was causing his new bondmate.
Meanwhile, Cairenn heard Tserieth's words in her mind, and replied out loud (as she was unused to communicating with dragons), "Fun is great! He's not dreadful!" Then, her 'mandyr slipped from her grasp, and she saw him attempting to commit suicide via her aunt's boot, and she screamed in fear, dropping to her knees to attempt to pry the little brown creature away from her aunt's booted foot.

“It’s not my fault I was having breakfast when she so conveniently landed on my head,” Rosanna replied, matching the headwoman scowl for scowl. “And last time I checked I have to have actually Impressed a dragon to harm it.”
Her scowl deepened as the headwoman ordered the candidates to stay behind to help clean up. Extra chores. Great, just what she wanted. She was merely surprised she hadn’t been assigned any for the various late night sneaking and pranks. Was the entire Weyr actually that stupid or was she seriously just that good? Stroking her pride led to bad consequences, so she tried not to do it. But not getting caught for practically anything was really not helping. Though the thought of Z’ves ghost had her jumping every now and then, keeping her humble, that was starting to fade too. So where did that leave her? In a spot to mentally scare another brat that’s where.
“I’d also like to point out I was minding my own business when this entire thing started…” Rosa grumbled to herself, crossing her arms as she dropped her sketchbook onto a table. Plopping down on the bench of the very same table, she crossed her legs too, the pure picture of utter indignation and fury. And it was so all Cotton’ fault.
Speaking of the little green, she had forgone caution to creep closer to the tiny green hatchling, briefly marveling at the fact that yes there was something in the world smaller than her, at least for a moment until it grew up. Or if it grew up. Trilling at the baby green she laid down on her belly, slightly closer to the nest, her eyes twinged with worry. Come, come. Up little green. Brother right, find human, she stated, giving a croon of encouragement.
.:oOo:.
Make the best of what you have. True enough, a saying he had heard before but never really acknowledged, a kindling hatred nestled in his chest for Fort. How can you make the best of what you have, when everything you have is slowly taken away each and every day? Regardless, Ka’aen flashed his lopsided grin, one side dimpling and all, while the warmth of it barely touched the sudden ice in his eyes, “True enough. A good thing to live by.
“Though whether you should be congratulating me yet or not, remains to be seen. As I’ve said before, salamandyr’s have reputations to live up to. If memory serves, M’kai has a rather nasty brown doesn’t he?” Ka’aen continued, warmth of his grin suddenly melting the ice in his gaze as he thoughts turned elsewhere, Aodh giving a croon as Diamonique scratched him before shifting so she scratched a spot under his frill. Does anyone know how hard it is to scratch behind that thing? Of course not. Well he needed a splendid name didn’t he?
I need bestest name. Silly Mine not know how to pick bestest name. The devil, pshuah. Blue minion picks better name, the ‘mandyr commented to Diamonique, snapping up the meat as quickly as she could hand it to him. He was quite the hungry salamandyr after all, and was in fact the first one to spot his brown brother hopping over to Diamonique. How annoying. Didn’t that silly ‘mandyr know that currently this was his Diamonique? Frill puffing out as he went ridged, only consoled by the continued stroking of the redhead, kneading once again into her flesh.
“What? You don’t think it’s a good idea to let me name my own salamandyr? I’m rather partial to the names I come up with thank you,” Ka’aen stated with a roll of his eyes, shoving another piece of meat the bronze’s way and was once again rewarded with a graze to his fingers, this time drawing blood. You aren’t even sorry for that are you, you little twerp? the rider stated mentally, narrowing his eyes at the bronze. He received an amused thought back, what was there to be sorry for? Of course, Rhiiseth took this moment to interject, , Oh please. The best you could come up with was ‘Fluffy’ and that was for a canine. I pick much better names, much sweeter, much sharper and surely much more poetic than Fluffy.
I was six, thanks. And who said you could go through my childhood memories? Ka’aen replied, briefly frowning as he raised an eyebrow at the blue a level below, “And that is exactly the running commentary I mean… You can meet him if you want, but I don’t understand why you’d want to.” Thought his comment may have been lost as Diamonique grabbed onto his shit for a moment, steading herself and he instinctively moved to make sure she wouldn’t fall, before her grip moved to his arm. Hm. This was inconvenient. Considering Aodh had gone stiff as the brown salamandyr shimmied up her leg and onto the unoccupied shoulder. Territorial over someone he wasn’t even bonded to. Ridiculous. Musing over the fact that he was lucky the hand that was trapped was the one with the bowl, Ka’aen quickly reached over plucking the bronze from Diamonique’s shoulder as the bronze hissed at his brown brother, Mine’s purdy matey, can’t have! Mine what j’u doing! Protecting your matey, put Aodh back! [/i] “No you’re being ridiculous, and counterproductive,” Ka’aen stated wryly, depositing the ‘mandyr on his shoulder and quickly shoving food in his mouth to distract him. The bluerider turned back to Diamonique as she let go of his arm, stiffening slightly in surprise at the look on her face, so utterly lost even though she had been doing so well with a ‘mandyr not even hers before. “Feed him,” he stated automatically, “Just like you were doing with Aodh; hatchlings are ravenous at birth, that goes for all draconic species , stroke him, talk to him. Be glad ‘mandyr’s at least are intelligent enough to talk back; talking to a firelizard is almost ridiculous.” And he was slightly disturbed by how the bronze now seething on his shoulder suddenly perked at the sound of the word firelziard, an image of eggs flashing through his mind. That can’t be good. “You know,” Ka’aen began wryly, handing Diamonique her own bowl of meat, “most would be thrilled to have a salamandyr, or firelizard, riding on their shoulder right now, especially one of their own. You, seem almost frightened.” Or confused. Confusion leads to fear, those two go hand in hand so when he said frightened his tone implied both; fear and confuse. Way to be cryptic. [/blockquote]

Oh how cute butterfly…you made that up for me? A teasing flutter of his wings, Sparath’s voice dipping into husky smoke. Perhaps I’ll help with the heavy lifting then next time you’re inclined to sweep me off my feet into the sunset to live happily ever after…look at us defying conventional ideals, you’d think that as a beautiful butterfly you’d be the queen wouldn’t you? Not to mention Romeoth was bigger, so it was only fitting that he be the female, wasn’t it. (Sparath was judiciously ignoring the fact that by the same logic he could be comparable to a green—he was far too shiny, it was an invalid argument, the end.)
“Oh, yes, never doubt Sparath’s ability to make fun of me,” Ce’thian retorted dryly, raising one eyebrow in amusement as he crossed his arms across his chest absently, peering past the small crowd at what little he could see of the eggs—tall as he was, there was definitely a decent distance between them after all. Although at least the creatures were pretty good about broadcasting loudly…and these seemed particularly good about making some semblance of sense, though whether or not Ce’thian could trust them was another story entirely. “I don’t know,” he added abstractedly, “I think—”
Claws prickling at his ankle, the undeniable brush of damp hide against his skin.
Hey you, down here.
“Yes,” Ce’thian said weakly, blinking as he resisted the urge to shake his foot as hard as he could as a ticklish tail curled around his ankle, “I’d actually noticed that, funnily enough.”
Ha, the blue retorted, peeking out from under the hem of his pants and blinking rainbow eyes fading rapidly into red hunger, Could’ve fooled me.
You got a wormspawn! was Sparath’s exuberantly amused observation; the blue gave a mental rumble of distinct amusement. Butterfly, my queen, we simply must introduce the wormthing to your greenie post haste—carpe diem while the wormthing’s still young and impressionable you know, I’m afraid your greenie’s probably past that stage but never mind; we can surely brainwash this wormthing to be good, I think.
“You can’t brainwash him,” Ce’thian said out loud, perplexed as he made a face at K’ian—articulate as always—and then bent to scoop the blue into hands, an act made difficult by the blue’s awkward position tangled around his ankle, and straightened to peer at him in fascination. “Huh. I could get used to you.” With which sort of bemused observation, Ce’thian glanced around for something to feed the blue. “And I should name you,” he added as an afterthought, as soon as he’d found the small slice of meat he’d grabbed from the kitchens and began to tear pieces off of it to offer the blue.
Name him Alibi, Sparath snickered at him, To match the dog.
“Shut up, Sparath,” Ce’thian answered immediately, at the thoroughly pained look at the blue shot at him halfway through chewing. “Food first. Names can come later, yeah? K’ian, I’m gonna…go. Have fun.” If that was even applicable anymore to the situation, not that K’ian looked anything less than totally amused by his Impression. Ce’thian waved a bemused hand at the other man, turning with the blue in his hands to head back to his weyr—thinking of a decent name wasn’t a spur-of-the-moment thing, okay, shut up.

There were words. She knew that much. Multiple ones from different voices, but they all urged her to do the same thing, yet they didn't understand in the least what it was like - to be hatched only half full. It was a cruel fate indeed and with one more pitiful yelp The Lover Greencrawled back towards the egg from where she came, as if this could all be started over and done up again. She knew that she couldn't. Leviathan knew that she couldn't... and with her attention following King and Asshat to her direction, the great queen could even find sympathy somewhere in her arrogance saturated body. The green after all was a daughter, and while the stillborn creature had not a true chance to pull at any heart strings, the barely living sister did. Perhaps then it wasn't a matter not of if, but when, and the latter could come sooner without the pressure of an audience.
Leviathan rose from her throne from the first time in a long, long, while. She sneaked a glance over at Osnat as if summoning to woman to disperse the human crowd, while she handled her fellow mandyrs. Her frill restrained and her demeanor cool, the gold reached out to the gathering remaining on her sands, Should go yes. Let baby get long shut eye... Stepping down to the egg and the pile of pale green mandyr, the gold looped around for only a moment to embrace the wreckage, licking out her tongue at The Lover Green as she shut her eyes for the last time. Sssweet dreamssss...
With the last little breath, Leviathan moaned softly and sadly before getting up and moving to take her former perch back - the spot right there on her blueweyrling's shoulder. Even Osnat was sort of touched however, and turned her head to look at the gold and hum out a, "Good job ya know...." before stalking off to find a broom for the clean up of this little hatching situation. She figured if she took long enough, then the candidates might have the majority of it handled by the time she got back.
