Oh babies. Did they think him stupid? As Lucith shot past Wridelth and Sfelyth and the two sibling blues, in synchronization, fell to either side he snorted. If they were going to plot against him it would do them better not to be so completely obvious about it in their movements. Although in any case he had expected such. Siblings as they were they looked out for one another. There had even been a brief time when the nasty blue himself had cared for such things as siblings. Albeit rather silently.
But Z’ves had long ago ruined that. Ruined it near completely. For a brief moment Lucith debated as he slowly turned above the younger blue pair. He wasn’t stupid, continuing to engage them in a two on one with no help from his rider and between was foolish. No matter how young they were, they had partners. Where as he himself had no such benefit. The blue didn’t live through battle without knowing when to push and when to retreat, and now was the time to run.
Mesh himself more closely with the others and risk of attack was minimal, unless they too decided to turn on him. Except there was one who he was almost confident would not turn on him. Turning on a wing tip, it was that male Lucith put all his speed into pursuing. Behruth. Keeping up such a quick pace however was bound to get tiring for the smaller blue, considering he was just under the size of your average green. Lucith had far more stamina then a green due to his build, but moving at such a speed was straining even that stamina. Hmm he would have to be more cautious now. With that in mind he kept his altitude and merely changed his position, drawing close again to the rest of the pack and keeping an eye on the brown below him.
Staying above the weyrling blues and the rest, for more maneuverability, was his goal. As Lucith raced back towards the green and the other frontrunners. A strike from beneath was always easier to avoid then one coming at you from above. Violet and red tinged eyes stayed trained on his opponents as he danced from wind to wind simply staying above the rest of the chasers and looking for an opening, any opening, to capitalize on.
Z’ves was quite frankly completely ignoring Raebeli. He had no cares for what greenie shrieked about. She couldn’t do anything about it anyway. And if she tried, well he had no qualms with showing her why her actions were stupid. Ae’on was far more amusing to him. Ignoring the mandyr who was blabbering about something, the bluerider grinned. “Yes I could make a mess.” He responded in a cheerful tone to the weyrling as he took a step closer. This one then. The others had drawn much closer to the greenrider. So then this rider was the one easiest to separate from the rest. The rest could swarm the miffed woman while he had some playtime with this boy.
Perfectly fine with Z’ves. The weyrling’s blue had just gone and made Lucith rather irritated anyway. Pivoting around Ae’on, so that he was between him and Raebeli’s position, he slashed out again. This time the blade would bite if the boy didn’t move. The bluerider seeking to drive Ae’on further back and towards the corner where he could trap him. Problem with that was that Z’ves had to drive the healer at a slight angle to keep the other chasers in sight. If they were seeking to gang up on Lucith in the air then these mind slaves on the ground could surely try to replicate that. Best to have some sense of what the others were doing as well.

It was with a mental sigh that Sfelyth followed Wridelth's instructions but called off the attack. Hold, brother, the blue called out after their succesful dodge, his usual cheerful tone still present. They very obviously did not have the support of the others. Not a single response from any of them. The blue was a magnet for trouble (evidenced by the fact he was attacked shortly into the flight) but he wasn't foolish. An unlikely and impromptu partnership between himself and Wridelth might not be enough for their lack of experience. Certainly, they wouldn't come out completely unscathed and they were forgetting the point.
Quixoth will think we're ignoring her at this rate, brother dear. Shall we show her what her amazing brothers are capable of? It was an offer to dance in the skies, to essentially use each other to show off. Besides, one tired out opponent will be easier to pick off later. The blue danced across the skies with fluidity and grace, leaving room for Wridelth to join him if he pleased while also keeping an eye on Lucith. The flight had become a battlefield and one did not take their eyes off their opponent.
As the waterfall approached and the blue admired the green's trick, the blue was thinking up his own. What to do there...he decided on a simple but graceful trick. He let most of the other males go first before approaching and kicking off the rock much like Quixoth did - only with his own spin on it, literally. He pushed off harder with his left hind leg to put him into a spin. He sacraficed the height advantage for safety though. No need to launch himself up into Lucith's potentially waiting claws. As it was, His was being heckled down below and the blue was getting Seriously Ticked Off.
Ae'on blinked and dodged the slash much the same way as before. He only had added reflexes now that he was somewhat expecting it. "Hnn, seriously?" His tone quite obviously implied that Z'ves was stupid for attacking him. In his somewhat muddled state the bluerider couldn't exactly say why it was stupid considering he was unarmed, but the thought stood all the same. He had no interest in Z'ves and he didn't particularly want to be injured so he tried to take advantage of the odd angle the bluerider was using. Didn't that leave a rather large gap there? As Ae'on made a stumbling dash towards the opening, Me was screeching insults at Z'ves and trying to bring attention to Hers' plight. Handsome no sharpie cushion, dunghead!

Wridelth came out of his dodging barrel roll with his wings flared wide. He slowed somewhat at Sfelyth's order, his annoyance desaturating any colour his eyes held to blank again. Eliminating the threat would be the most logical thing to do, so the Blue felt a little frustrated, especially at the lack of concern shown by the other flight participants, and the change in decision of his clutchbrother. It was perhaps true that the Blue brothers would have trouble taking down Lucith - that was his only hesitation.
Agreed; keep watch on Lucith.[/i] He knew Sfelyth didn't need to be reminded, but he reinforced the idea anyway. Wridelth wasn't the most agile dragon around; indeed, Sfelyth would probably look better next to him in the sky-dancing department. But the pale Blue would always have his incredible feats of speed and endurance, which would definitely help him not only continue to be a contender for Quixoth, but also survive attacks from the demonic dragon. Wridelth navigated to Sfelyth's side, making sure to keep the same fast pace that his brother held, and flipped in the air onto his back, flying upside down. There were two reasons for this; it was unnatural and therefore probably impressive to the Green they were chasing, and he could keep an eye on the enemy that held a higher altitude easier. The Blue synchronized the beats of his wings with Sfelyth's, enjoying the perfect aspect of their mirroring.
As they approached the waterfall, Wridelth flipped himself upright, brushing Quixoth's mind in appreciation of her stunt while keeping an eye on Lucith. After Sfelyth did his kick-off-spin, Wridelth launched forward at the rock and kicked off it to propel himself perpendicularly into the air, flying parallel but opposite to the direction of the waterfall. His wings beat powerfully to gain height, and when he reached his calculated height, he closed his wings and let himself fall snout-first into the water below. Using this momentum, the Blue spread his wings and sailed underneath the water, shooting out when he began to run out of momentum, water droplets spraying like mist in his explosion. Snorting water from his nostrils and still keeping an eye on the dangerous Lucith, he quickly rose and sped next to Sfelyth.
Kohl-rimmed eyes narrowed dangerously at Z'ves. He was turning out to be a lot of trouble, and she could sense Raebeli becoming unnerved by his violent behaviour. A pale hand darted towards a thin knife while the other reached for a slightly bigger blade. In one swift movement, Syrene sent the thin, aerodynamic knife whistling through the air at the man who had attempted to shank Ae'on a second time. "Don't touch my clutchbrother," she hissed angrily, hatred and protectiveness morphing her face into steel. Syrene held her ground with the second blade's tip facing Lucith's just in case he managed to dodge; even with her amazingly accurate aim, it was possible for him to have seen her movements and planned to escape ahead of time. That, and even if the blade did hit, it probably wouldn't kill. She had made sure that if he moved, the blade would sink into the wall, and not Sfelyth's.

Lucith's assumptions had been correct. He hadn't been paying attention to what was going on around him. Jeth's main focus was on Quixoth as she barreled through the air in front of him. The large blue whirled and spun on his own wind, completely fixated on her form in front of him and the lust that was slowly overpowering him completely. Fortunately though, he was in the middle of one of these spinning moves when movement caught the corner of his mind. Hissing in anger, the blue spun around completely, gliding through the air on his back as the other blue came down on him. Jeth didn't have enough time to get out of the way, but he threw his legs up in an attempt to strike at Lucith, but the other blue was too quick for him or Jeth was too slow. It didn't matter, because he felt the other's claws slice through the flesh of his leg. The scent of his own ichor clouded his nostrils and he screeched in pain, spinning back around to blast towards the offending dragon, who seemed to have completely forgotten about him.
L'am was completely taken over by Jeth's mind in that moment. He grinned like a fool when Quioxoth's grabbed him and pulled him into the room. The mark of her lipstick on his cheek drove him up the wall and burned like someone had shoved a red hot brand against it. He wanted to feel angry at her other suitors, but he was too taken up in her to be too angry at all. " Mmm. Beautiful indeed." He spoke in a whisper, barely audible to anyone but her ears. He lets his fingers dance over the flesh of her jaw for a moment before he moved back, eyes flashing over Lucith's just as the blue slashed at one of the weyrling riders. Anger swelled in the older bluerider.
This was a disgrace! Suddenly, there was a pain in his leg, so intense that if felt like someone had sliced him open. He staggered backwards, gasping in pain. " No!" He called out. Things didn't seem to be going as well as he would have liked.
Jeth pulled himself back from striking at Lucith, not only would the other see him coming, but he knew he wouldn't have the reinforcements he needed to take the blue down. Instead, he hissed angrily and pulled away, rushing after Quixoth once more, but this time making sure to keep an eye on Lucith as he rose above the two weyrlings. Screeching, the dark blue saw the waterfall, and as the other dragons did their acrobatic best, Jeth was ready to try something himself. Striking the slippery stone with his own claws, his body halted for half a second as he built up force in his hindquarters. The force with which he caught himself on the stone caused his injured leg to scream in protest and agony filled his being for half a second. With another screech, he pushed off, folding his wings in and flying through the air like a bullet. He aimed upwards, in a diagonal trajectory through the air. He was also spinning like a top for the first few seconds, his vision blurring the other dragons into a mass of blue tinged with brown and green. Towards the end, he had ceased his twirling move, but found himself looking down upon all the dragons, Lucith included. Finally leveling out, he pulled his wings out from around his body and beat them powerfully, the ache in his injured leg pounding like a jackhammer.
He couldn't let a little pain get in the way of his Quixoth though, now could he. " Still here..." His mind was open to all the dragons now. To Quixoth as a reassurance that he wouldn't give up on her so easily, and to Lucith as a mocking taunt that he knew what he was up to and he wouldn't be caught off guard again.
It was on.
Jeth was in pain, but there was so much violence. His eyes attempted to focus on Z'ves/Lucith for a second. The violence seemed to originate from this one. Anger filled his being as he gravitated towards Quixoth's without really thinking about it. Despite the weyrlings being his competition, he wanted to help them. He just couldn't let them die because of the stupidity of another. Claws/fingers flexed and the man growled softly to himself. Conflicted, he realized that the weyrlings could probably take care of themselves and he took it upon himself to aid Wrideth's for now.

A lady, even of Quixoth's caliber can't be expected to be wonder woman. As such as she jetted up further and further her wings began to fail. She was a sprinter at heart, and without the benefit of turns under her belt, the molten hot lava sting in her joints was starting to take a hold of her. Not to mention the sticky wet sauna in her lungs, or the fact that what goes up, must always come down, and that was just science. Now, she still didn't want to be outdone, and she definitely didn't want that Lucith to have the pleasure of catching her - despite the fact she did fancy the way that he challenged her. Yes, even after all he had done she was still willing to slot him in with a question mark in her mind, maybe if only because her rider would equally find interest in the pairing - Rae never missed the chance to pick the brain of a crazy.
Alas, it had come to this though, the slashing of names off the list. It was the worst of her tasks, and she showed her disdain for it, because as she took a violent turn the didn't just fall freely, she attacked her own decline. She thrashed about passing those around her and though she looked to be possessed by the fires of hell, she was gentle enough in her rejections. Brushes they were really, which made for an interesting juxtaposition, even as her talons seemed set towards the ground like arrows, her mind voice was generally calm, Behruth, Jeth, Idylth.... thank you, for gracing my presence...for making this memorable... She added a bit extra for Behruth, whom she knew - somehow - had so much riding on the flight Especially you my dear Behruth, but do not let your future pivot on the results... Now to deal with the trouble maker, with what energy she had left she attempting a daring feat and helixed around him before saying, Lucith.... I WON'T dismiss you. I know you won't go... and I want you to stay... to watch me do this...
She began to drift closer to her clutchmates. It had always been between them really... thought she knowed no prejudice, she realized now that this is what she wanted. She wanted both Wridelth and Sfelyth... honestly she did, a fact that was reflected as there back on Earth Rae settled her blue eyes on both Ae'on and Syrene... mmmmm. If only... she wanted to tangle there with both of them... she was especially impressed with Syrene's defensiveness though. Would the claws stay out even after the win? Lets find out!
Quixoth ultimately edged in towards Wridelth, You honored me as an equal... we can do great things together...
And Rae then propped open her door, ready to say goodbye to her beloved losers, but stop any who caught her fancy. All the while licking her lips in anticipation.
