If anyone had been in doubt, after a week of Rinagth alternately draping her body over every male dragon in sight and hissing and growling at everybody, that the green was close to Rising one look at her would be enough to dispel it. If the green’s hide had been any brighter people would have been blinded to look at her. Currently the glowing green was stretched out on her weyrledge, in full and obvious view of any male dragon who might happen to look that way, dozing peacefully, although the flexing of her claws and occasional lashing of her tail indicated that Rinagth’s dreams were anything but peaceful.
Neatly sequestered in a flightroom J’on’s pose mirrored his dragon’s. The stocky greenrider lay on his side sprawled out on the bed, eyes half closed, apparently relaxed, but like his dragon there was an air of suppressed energy about the greenrider, as if he, too, was ready to spring at any moment.
If there was one thing the past few turns of enduring Rinagth’s Flights had taught J’on it was to accept the inevitable, and by now J’on was so used to his dragon that he’d rounded up his pets and responsibly shut them in his weyr then brought himself down to a flight room to wait almost as a matter of course. Being sprawled out, stark naked, on the bed was all his own idea though. The fact was that J’on tended to get very caught up in Rinagth’s Flights and he was rather tired of getting his clothes torn apart, besides his side of the chasers might as well get a good look while they were still human enough to appreciate it.
With her characteristic suddenness Rinagth raised her head and glanced around, then rolled lithely to her feet, standing on the edge of her ledge as if she hadn’t been sleeping only moments before. In typical style the green dropped lazily into the air, issuing no cry or challenge, there was no rush, her Flight was her own, and besides there was something she wanted first.
Rinagth folded her wings and dropped several feet, right into the feeding pens, conveniently bringing her forefeet down on the back of a young bull that had been lying in the sun. The dragon’s weight bore the herdbeast back down and Rinagth let out a satisfied growl as she felt ribs snap under the pressure. Claws shredded the hide, and most the meat, over the shoulders just for the sheer pleasure of destruction before the green grew bored of that and leaned down to bite neatly at the bull’s throat, both silencing the terrified herdbeast and releasing what Rinagth truly desired; blood.
Once she was done with her bull Rinagth let the animal’s throat drop from her jaws and stepped delicately off the carcass. The green looked around expectantly and raised her wings, letting the sunlight pour through the semi transparent membrane. Where was everyone? Absolutely impossible! The green hissed quietly and lifted her muzzle to let out a challenging roar.

Kaaoloth had known for weeks that Rinagth had been close to rising. He had taken her moody personality with the patience of a saint, allowing her the right to snap at or cuddle him as she desired. Each day had brought him closer to this moment and the large brown was perched on his ledge watching her sleep and taking in the brilliant glow of one close to rising. A soft growl rumbled through his chest as his tail lashed over the ledge. He was impatient. Very impatient, and it showed in the tensing of claws the constant pacing and the uplifting of his lip at every other passing dragon. Soon. Very soon.
Against the doorway to the ledge opening Sel’n leaned, watching the brown with exasperation. “Faranth you are making me nervous. Will you settle down already. She’ll go up when she’s damn good and ready and I better not hear you complaining when you lose.” A violent snort answered the older rider. Apparently Kaaoloth wasn’t in the mood to talk. Grinning the brownrider ran a hand though his hair. “Love you to.” Pushing back off the wall Sel’n started on the way to the flight rooms. The brown wouldn’t be this keyed up if it wasn’t close to happening. The hairs on the back of his neck started to prick up as he entered the stone hallway with a final mental warning to his dragon. Don’t you dare cause any trouble either. Again there was merely a brush of cold annoyance. Been too long since Kaaoloth had caught and he wasn’t in the mood for games apparently. Joy.
When Rinagth’s head rose Kaaoloth’s wings snapped open. Every muscle tensed in anticipation and then she was slipping off the ledge and he flung himself off after her. A silent shadow he was. Mirroring her on her way to the feeding pens. The brown allowed a moment of quiet appreciation as she brought down her first buck before he to dropped into the thick of the herd. With quiet precision he grabbed his target by the throat, sucking at it’s life blood without bothering to kill it first. He liked the feeling of it struggling ineffectually between his jaws. Eventually it stilled and the large brown allowed the buck to drop lifelessly from his jaws. Kaaoloth’s tongue flashed out to capture the remnants of blood as he crooned affectionately to the green only a few length’s away. Her hiss caused his eyes to whirl faster and as the echo of her cry died away he raised his voice in a mirror challenge to her own. His Rinagth.
Sel'n in turn had made it to the flight rooms by this point. He chuckled as he entered and examined J'on from his position leaning in the doorway. "Good afternoon J'on. I see you're wasting no time."

((Sorry if this post is weird, I've never participated in a flight before and I don't have much time to write this. DX))
Rinagth has been acting strange all week, but this is something new.
Craivaruth raised his head from its tucked position and tilted it marginally, observing the glowing Green perched on her weyrledge from his own weyr.
She's a strange dragon.
She appears to be about to Fly.
J'ash removed Tux from his lap and Vomit from his shoulder to quickly stand up. The vision from his dragon was clear in his mind, and the Blue was right - the glow could not mean anything other than that the Green was about to Rise. "I didn't hear anything about this," J'ash grumbled, pacing around the weyr in a rushed manner, pulling on necessary articles of clothing. "J'on didn't tell me! Don't Dragonriders know when their dragons are going to get horny?"
If he did know, he probably didn't tell you because he doesn't want you to be jealous. He will be sleeping with other men, and he knows how emotional you can be.
"If you're trying to convince me not to go down there, you're doing a really sharding bad job of it." J'ash looked himself over in a reflective metallic dish, the fingers raking jaggedly through his hair almost angry with speed. Why would you? You know interfering in Flights without actually participating in them is dangerous. The skinny man paused and looked over at the bicoloured dragon with a confused expression. "It won't be dangerous, because we'll be participating. You'll be participating." You do recall that I do not Chase, yes? "Yeah, so?" J'ash's clear lack of interest in Craivaruth's Flight issues was shown in the way he carried on preening - picking at his teeth, scrubbing his face, fussing over his hair. The Blue's tail flicked in annoyance and he huffed. You're actually serious. "You know it." ...Are you sure you want to do this? Because we are not affected by flightlust, it will be unsafe. J'ash sighed and looked over at His. "If you're really hesitant about it..." I can tell this means a lot to you. I will do this for you. Consider this a graduation gift. That, and Rinagth would probably bite my head off if I didn't show any interest. The blond man shook his hair and combed his fingers through it a last time, bringing most of it to flow onto his chest, over his shoulders. He looked affectionately at Craivaruth. "Thank you... Please be safe." Same to you, lovelymine.
Without any further delay, the graduating Fear Weyrling broke out into a jog and fled his weyr, almost unsure of where to go. He recalled lessons, remembering the section on flight-rooms (now why of all things would he remember that? Cue eyeroll), and took off in that direction.
Craivaruth flared his wings and stood from his perch. Within seconds the small Blue had launched powerfully into the air and was soaring towards Rinagth, who had just dropped from her ledge. Another dragon - a Brown - swooped into the scene, and both attacked herdbeasts (great, another dragon. That just made things that much harder for him...). Craivaruth snorted in distaste. Why were they killing the animals if they weren't hungry? Still, he wouldn't question it. He knew that if he didn't pitch into the idea, Rinagth would be quite angry. He hoped she was glad to see him in the first place.
Dropping down harshly, he landed on a small-sized bull and proceeded to kill it within the instant, wishing it no pain. Quickly, the malevolent-looking dragon proceeded to peel skin and meat from the carcass, teeth red with its blood. He was actually hungry - perhaps eating would get him more in the mood to fake-Chase his... what was Rinagth? A friend? Let's go with friend. Fake-Chase his friend.
The Blue crooned at the beautifully glowing Green with his deep, mesmerizing voice, trying to sound as appealing as possible. Really, he didn't expect anything from this. He just hoped J'ash would appreciate him trying. You look smashing, my dear Rinagth, he hummed, before reeling back and baying a bloody roar at the sky. If it was a show of power she wanted, that was what she would get.
J'ash slowed to a stop in front of a room voices were leaking out of. He took a step in and leaned against the doorframe purposely to show off the shape of his scar-ridden torso. (Yes, he'd planned accordingly and had only worn pants. What was the point in wearing a shirt if it would be simply discarded - or torn to shreds - in the end?) His silver eyes immediately fell on J'on, and a devious smirk crossed his face. "Hmm, naked already?" There was a playfulness to his tone. His eyes then turned to look at the Brownrider, and his smirk instantly dissipated. No need to be rude to this man that he'd never met before - even if he was trying to get his mate to put out. "Hi," he said in an indifferent voice. Psh, if it wasn't for T'san, J'ash would say he didn't like Brownriders at all. He sauntered into the room, inspecting Sel'n with a not quite hateful look but a distrustful one, eyes flicking over to look at the nude Greenrider occasionally.

For long moments as Rinagth all but destroyed her kill J’on remained alone in his flightroom, hands flexing rhythmically against the bed clothes as if he, too, could rend the living flesh of some innocent victim. As his green tired of her destructive game and got down to the serious business of blooding the rider raised his head slightly and gave the door an expectant look. Rinagth hadn’t actually issued her challenge yet but the glow she could give off, bright as she normally was, should give everyone a nice hint.
Ah, of course. J’on gave Sel’n a saucy wave and a smile as the brownrider entered the room, he was expected, Kaaoloth seemed to have a great interest in Rinagth, appearing for every one of her Flights. ‘Should I waste time, or clothing?’ The greenrider questioned with a faint smile on his lips. ‘It’s only going to be torn off me at some stage.’ By the end of the sentence the greenrider’s words were slightly slurred as if he was having trouble remembering how to speak in a human voice. The urge to howl, to call out all the lazy ones who weren’t here yet and challenge them flooded him but the greenrider managed, with effort, to keep his challenge to a low growl. Which turned out to be just as well, as the next person through the door turned out to be J’ash.
Rinagth made a low growling sound of approval, taking note of Kaaoloth’s presence at last. Bereft of another target, except the herdbeasts now blindly panicking around them Rinagth stalked toward the brown, letting out one long hiss as she went. But something distracted her.
Lifting her forequarters the green looked quizzically over her shoulder to see…Craivaruth? There was something not right about the blue being here, but at the moment she could not fathom what it was. He was a mature male now, why wouldn’t he want to chase Rinagth? That question (to which there was no answer in the green’s mind), and the compliment from Craivaruth conquered the green’s doubts, so much so that she didn’t notice anything else odd about the blue’s behaviour. She had Craivaruth!
‘J’ash?’ J’on sat up, ignoring the comment on his nudity, and looked at the bluerider with a confused expression. ‘You shouldn’t be here. Craivaruth doesn’t…’ Abruptly J’on fell silent, overwhelmed by his dragon’s exultation at luring an untouchable male to her Flight. He couldn’t quite recall what he’d been about to say, something important, but it eluded him time and again.
Rinagth’s head swung back and forth, seeking other chasers, and when she couldn’t apy any the green roared a second time to express her fury at the absent males and all but threw herself into the air.
It might not have been her most graceful take off but the combination of blooding and fury certainly gave Rinagth extra energy. The green shot back up the canyon like a green arrow, allowing every dragon too lazy to chase to see exactly what they were missing, before she rose further and kited sideways out of the canyon, talons almost brushing rock as she rose over the edge.

Sel’n chuckled at J’on before he pushed off the doorway to enter the flight room completely. J’ash was given the barest of glances and then dismissed. Not important. Kaaoloth’s influence was washing over and although the brownrider was wary of it taking him completely, he didn’t fight it as hard as he normally did. This sexless runt wasn’t his problem and he was sure Rinagth would see through his ruse before long. “Now you’ve gone and ruined a bit of my fun dearest. I like to tear things.” The words where a low purr and the voice not totally his own but it made the statement no less true. Tearing clothing was an animalistic action the older rider liked to indulge in. J’on’s seemingly minor concern for J’ash was ignored. For all intensive purposes the boy shouldn’t even be here. So Sel’n was content to act like he wasn’t.
Kaaoloth snarled viciously at Craivaruth as he appeared. The whirling green and purple of his gaze gaining splashes of crimson. This one’s smell was all wrong. What did he think he was playing at? He (or was it she?) did not belong and a low threatening growl emerged from the brown’s throat his eyes focused momentarily on the green/blue. The large male might have reacted further had not Rinagth taken that moment to approach him. The hiss she threw his way was given a return low croon. Kaaoloth dipping his head to flash teeth back at the green in a display that was half challenge half submission. The large brown’s wings remained half unfurled to help with his balance and another round of crimson colored his gaze when the sexless one took Rinagth’s attention away from him again.
A true snarl was given Craivaruth then. However Kaaoloth didn’t have time for much more. Rinagth’s infuriated roar had his attention swinging back to her. Talon’s ripping gouges in the earth the large male flung himself after her with an answering roar, his ascent no more graceful than hers but more powerful. Intentionally Kaaoloth allowed the dust kicked up by his wings to partially blind the green/blue, his tail also lashing out with warning. The strike was no where near close enough to hit but the warning was clear. His green. This sexless one didn’t belong. Powering forward after Rinagth the brown spared no more threats on Craivaruth. For the moment his attention was solely on the green, only the barest bit reserved for any late arrivals to her rise.

Dearest? Who did this bozo think he was, calling his mate "dearest"? Did he not know he'd been sleeping with J'on for a while now? His hands balled into tight fists, jaw clenching momentarily at Sel'n's words. You aren't his boyfriend, he reminded himself, trying to calm his sprouting anger and jealousy. you're just his friend. With benefits. But he didn't think Sel'n was J'on's friend - and that made him more important to the Greenrider.
A cold discomfort tingled in his spine at the increasingly non-human atmosphere of the room. Despite his larger-than-average libido, even he was feeling out of place between these two. Not to mention the fact that he didn't know what was actually supposed to happen between the humans involved while waiting for the Rising dragon to be caught, he could feel the disapproval rolling off of the Brownrider. Still, he hadn't come here for nothing - he wasn't about to give up J'on to this old fart.
Turning to look at J'on, the Bluerider smiled, the expression tainted dark by lust and possessiveness. If he was influenced by flightlust, he'd probably jump on the Greenrider and hiss, growl, and snarl at the Brownrider until they were left alone. Even without being under the Flight influence, he was tempted to do so. Instead, he glanced over at Sel'n for a brief moment, smile fully disconnecting from his spontaneously subzero eyes.
He could see J'on's impatience with the way the covers of the bed were twisted, and knew of his animalistic urges due to Craivaruth's updates on Rinagth. He'd do what it would take to please J'on, even in his current inhuman state. Ignoring J'on's comments on his presence, the Bluerider sauntered towards his friend and fluidly bent. He grabbed a hold of one of J'on's hands and raised it to his scarred chest. His grin turned darker. "I'm the Weyr guestbook. It's about time you added your signature," he purred, secretly hoping J'on was still human enough to understand his meaning.
A sense of triumph filled Craivaruth as he stole the beautiful Green's attention from the Brown. The blue-green dragon let out an equally nasty snarl, baring his bloody teeth at the Brown. He was known Weyr-wide for his braveness - or was it stupidity? - when going up against dragons far more experienced than him, as several witnessed at the Firelizard Hatching. His head thrashed to the side, sets of eyelids closing over his churning eyes in response to the sudden cloud of dust. Bursting through it, he opened his eyes, training his bloodthirsty crimson eyes on the Brown, snarling at the warning flick of his tail.
He'd originally done this for His. He'd started to realize that this was an opportunity to prove his masculinity (he was a MALE.). And now, it was personal. Craivaruth roared and launched powerfully from the ground, snapping open his wings to accelerate upwards. He quickly caught up to the others, his narrow wings being able to stir up air well. Furiously, the Blue banked and glided, trying to keep Kaaoloth at the same or further distance from Rinagth as he was. He was not going to give this up without a fight.
J'ash's rage suddenly spiked, but he fought to control it, despite how badly he just wanted to leap at Sel'n. Now was the time to see if he'd learned anything from Iskierka. Tearing his hateful eyes from the Brownrider, he tilted his head down to look at the Greenrider with oddly dark eyes (although he'd removed the hate just for J'on), pressing the Greenrider's fingers into the middle of his chest so that he would have nail marks there upon the hand's removal, encouraging J'on to do what he knew he wanted to do.

The sound of her chasers roaring and snarling at one another somewhere behind her pleased Rinagth, sending a deep blue sparkle across the deep violet of her eyes. All that over her? Weren’t they just adorable? The obvious rivalry between her chasers, which Rinagth was naturally certain was all due to her, was almost enough to mollify Rinagth when no other dragons shot up from the canyon to chase her. Fearful little hatchlings, the green snorted her contempt of the missing dragons, they were just too scared to chase a real green. Well she didn’t want any male who rather chase a soft little goldling anyway!
J’on focused a gaze dark with lust on Sel’n, the brownrider’s comment inspiring a low growl and slight shift in the greenrider’s weight as he considered going over and tearing the shirt off Sel’n’s back. He did badly want to destroy something now that Rinagth had him further in her mental grasp. However before J’on had finished considering J’ash was by his side, lifting one of the greenrider’s hands in his.
Rinagth took her flight low enough that she could easily catch the top branches of the trees in her claws if she so wished, moving fast enough that she was visible mostly as a glowing green blur above the dull greens of the southern landscape. Rising a little further so she wouldn’t get her wings caught up the green flipped over, gliding along upside down so she could look back at her males. With a little croon to encourage them about their competion the green twisted, writhed, and ended up the right way up, facing the two males, at a higher altitude. Naturally there was only one thing to do to test their loyalty to her.
Putting on as much speed as she could Rinagth shot back over the heads of Kaaoloth and Craivaruth, then turned on a wingtip, dropped and came back over them again with her body just clearing theirs, one set of her talons swiping for Kaaoloth as she went by and a strong lash of her tail aimed directly for Craivaruth’s muzzle before she was out of range. The green made a low mocking sound, half growl, half croon, were they giving up yet? Going to fly home scared over a little pain?
Given the bluerider’s actions it probably wouldn’t come as much of a surprise to J’ash when J’on’s fingers clenched and scraped across the skin beneath them, leaving five lived scratches in their wake. The greenrider felt mildly regretful about that but he couldn’t understand why, wasn’t Craivaruth’s rider his to damage if he so wished? As if to prove the point to himself the greenrider’s free hand moved up to grip a handful of the blonde hair and bring the bluerider’s head down enough that J’on could capture his lips in a rough kiss that definitely had more of possession and dominance in it than passion. Pulling back the greenrider found a new target and darted back in to land a sharp bite on the bluerider’s shoulder, deliberately drawing blood. His, see?
Despite the more immediate reaction to J’ash’s proximity J’on hadn’t forgotten he had another chaser to lay a claim on, and releasing the bluerider, he rose and stalked across the room to circle Sel’n. What was that shirt doing in his way? For a few moments J’on actually attempted to unbutton the offending garment before he grew impatient and just grabbed each side of the shirt and pulled sharply, letting the annoying buttons fly away. Much better, the greenrider gave a satisfied smile as he ran his hands over the brownrider’s newly exposed skin. J’on’s teeth neatly caught the brownrider’s skin at the base of his throat, between the collarbones. Also his.

Kaaoloth powered after Rinagth not wasting time or energy on being to speedy right away. Yes he intended to keep her as close as his larger form would allow, but the brown was well versed in her ways of flight and he knew she would be coming back to play with them sooner or later. He welcomed that. Flashes of blue and green hide he did not appreciate and the large male quite happily watched Craivaruth for any small opportunity. The male was young, untrained, and it showed. Kaaoloth had no doubts about his ability to rip Craivaruth out of the air if it came down to it. If the opportunity presented itself he would rid himself of the annoying pest. The brown bared his teeth at the sexless dragon as it veered close in an attempt to block.
Rather than snap or slash out at the other male he let him get closer and closer. Luring the other into a false sense of security. Let him think he was far enough away to avoid retaliation. The large males eyes whirling more crimson than purple now. The green/blue’s mocking attempt at chasing Rinagth had his mood quite on the violent side and Kaaoloth wasn’t afraid to show that. It displayed in warning snarls and the angry beat his wings held as they abused the air.
The large brown leveled off above the trees staying a length or so above them to prevent any accidents. Close to the trees he remained but not close enough for someone of his size to be snared. With a encouraging croon Kaaoloth waited as Rinagth shot back towards them. The large male was prepared for her actions and should they open up another opportunity he was not going to complain….. As the green beauty made for him Kaaoloth intentionally moved further into her strike letting her talons graze his back and draw ichor. The move was made intentionally so he could put himself closer to Craivaruth because instinctively the brown knew that was where she was heading next. He was proven right and as Rinagth’s tail lashed out for Craivaruth’s muzzle, Kaaoloth made his own move.
Knowing the blue/green would be likely to concerned with avoiding Rinagth to notice him the brown took full advantage of his opening. Powering forward he pulled above the sexless annoyance and slashed for it’s wings seeking to shred them even as his jaw’s sought to slash open the back of the other’s neck. The move was not intended to kill. Merely take the idiot out of he flight and keep it away from his green. Whether or not Rinagth would appreciate such Kaaoloth did not really care. Sometimes lessons where learned the hard way and this mistake would be dealt with.
Sel’n’s gaze was hard and disproving on J’ash as the male? continued to try and stake his claim over J’on. Really? The anger in the boy’s eyes was met with cold indifference from the brownrider. He had no doubt in his ability to kill or maim J’ash should he be forced to defend himself. A few months training made not a difference against years of actual experience. Cold blue eyes gazed with disgust and maybe a bit of jealously as J’on marked the boy. In Kaaoloth/Sel’n’s opinion the runt should be taken out of the flight. In that moment the older rider’s hand rested briefly over his belt knife.
Shouldn’t have let Kaaoloth claim so much, he dimly realized, for his control over the other was tentative at best. He was able to dissuade Kaaoloth from going in for a kill, but little more than that. The dragon’s blood was running hot and it was only by force of will that he convinced him not to attempt a killing blow on the sexless dragon that was his unfortunate competition.
Thoughts of doing similar things to J’ash where put on hold as Rinagth, or was it J’on, arrived. Sel’n encouraged the man in his actions with a low growl of pleasure meant only for the greenrider’s ears. The ripping of his shirt didn’t bother him in the least and he half lidded his eyes in response to the feel of teeth against his throat. A low almost purr left his throat as his arms wrapped briefly around the other male holding him there and purposely catching J’ash’s eyes as he ran his nails over Rinagth’s skin marking her as well, whether she liked it or not. The message was for the little annoyance anyway. His….

A hiss of both pain and pleasure escaped the thin man as J'on's fingernails raked down his chest, five animalistic red welts left in their wake. Some sections of the scratches became lines of blood that would quickly coagulate into scabs. J'ash was distracted from the pain as a hand grabbed his hair and yanked him down for a rough kiss, which J'ash completely responded to. If his head hadn't been so lowered, he would have shot a victory glare at Sel'n. The Greenrider was very obviously not himself, J'ash thought as his mouth was (most welcomely) assaulted in a dominant and aggressive manner, but he was happy to have his attention nonetheless. J'on didn't need the Brownrider, see?
J'ash briefly enclosed the Greenrider in his arms, hissing again and digging his fingernails into J'on's back as he felt teeth sink into his shoulder. The bitten skin pulsed painfully as J'on released it, but J'ash liked being marked by the Greenrider. It claimed him as owned. And he liked the idea of being owned by J'on.
Craivaruth's wings snapped up and down aggressively as he grew closer and closer to the Brown in his attempts to keep him at bay from the Green. It was a strange fact that the Brown had not already reacted in some way, and the Blue found it highly suspicious. It was an opportunity to ward his enemy off, though, and he took it. He had just as much right as any other dragon to Chase; he was a dragon, and he was male. Why didn't Kaaoloth realize such truth? Craivaruth's human-like mind throbbed with the injustice of the situation as he dove in closer to the Brown, bloody eyes trained on him.
The blue-green dragon watched jealously as Rinagth sliced Kaaoloth with her talons and deliberately swayed into the way of her tail. The desire for the Green to hurt him was partly J'ash's fault; he welcomed the whip to his muzzle, the blow making his head twist diagonally downwards.
In the brief moment that his guard was down, talons tore through his wings and across the back of his short neck, drawing ichor. Shock and pure fury rocked his being as he screeched deafeningly in pain, flapping his wings harder to try and stay aloft. Kaaoloth had planned his attack perfectly, however, and with precision came results. But Craivaruth was not done. No; if he was going down, Kaaoloth was not staying up.
The Blue thrust himself forward with all the leverage he had left, all talons swinging forward to latch on to any part of Kaaoloth that he could. His tail whipped forward to wrap around anything in his way. Roaring furiously, he snapped his mouth at the Brown before him, not intending to kill (although he did so wish to) but to painfully latch on. He was taking Kaooloth down with him.
The Bluerider watched J'on rip the Brownrider's shirt off and proceed to bite him with the most unintentionally jealous look possible. It was perfectly timed: Sel'n grabbed a possessive hold of the Greenrider and shot him a look just as a second dose of Craivaruth's much more intense dragonrage hit J'ash like a wall of bricks. Silver eyes darkened dangerously as he stalked forward with aggression in his steps. He moved to stand behind J'on and grabbed him possessively, fingers rooting themselves deep into the man's sides. He yanked the Greenrider towards himself (and away from Sel'n) as hard as he could, intending to break the hold the Brownrider had on his belonging. As he did so, he leaned forward, pressing his bloody shoulder and chest to J'on's back, and sunk his teeth into the flesh that curved at the end of his neck. Eye contact with his rival was maintained the entire time. He removed his teeth from J'on's neck and growled against it, glaring at Sel'n with all the hate in the world. "Mine."

For a few seconds Rinagth sailed onward, most pleased with herself for managing to strike both her chasers in that loop, a shame Craivaruth wouldn’t be permanently marked by that though. Maybe she’d have to play with them some more… the green’s head snaked back for a quick look under her wing, in exactly the moment Craivaruth cried out in shock and pain.
Answering Craivaruth’s cry with her own bellow of rage (They were hers to hurt, how dare they fight among themselves?!) Rinagth spun again, coming back for her males at her top speed, however the green was forced to veer off and circle the pair of males as Craivaruth locked his claws in Kaaoloth’s flesh. As she passed Rinagth hissed, a long spiteful sound, and smacked sharply for Craivaruth’s reaching talons with her tail, really the only thing she could do to help separate the pair at the moment. Insinct warned the enraged dragon that joining the fray with her own teeth and claws would only take all of them down.
J’on let out a soft growl and let his eyes fall closed, pressing his body against Sel’n’s as he felt the brown’s nails raking across the skin of his back, Kaaoloth dared claim him? A daring move, bold, The greenrider pulled back slightly and looked up with half lidded, lust darkened eyes, perhaps he would reward Kaaoloth’s bravery…
Then, without warning, hands gripped him from behind and pulled him back. Craivaruth. J’on’s mind, now almost an extension of Rinagth’s will, identified his assailant, even as he stumbled away from the brownrider’s arms. Yet he didn’t go far, as J’ash’a chest pressed against his back and teeth closed on his skin. The greenrider didn’t wait to hear Sel’n’s reaction to the claim, rather he spun away from the brownrider to face J’ash, fury burning in his gaze as, far above, Rinagth tried to pull her dragons back into line. Not Craivaruth’s! Might be, but not yet. His wings were tiring, a little, but he could go further to test these two to their limits, and how could he make a choice when they were fighting like this. All this ran through J’on’s mind, yet he articulated nothing more than another growl of warning, half turning back to Sel’n so he could place a restraining palm on the chests of both males.
Circling around her dragons again, looking for an opening in which she might be able to separate them, Rinagth noticed something about Craivaruth, somehow the small blue’s wings had been clawed to ribbons in this scrap, and, short of being able to slow himself a little, the blue would hardly be able to fly. With sudden determination the green darted in from the side and used her own claws in brief swipes to attack Craivaruth’s lower legs, hoping to dislodge him from her rightful place. As she did so the green trilled sweetly to Kaaoloth, wasn’t it time the brown rid himself of that nuisance and flew with her?
J’on’s eyes flicked from one rider to the other for a few moments, Rinagth had made the choice, yet he was having some trouble acknowledging it, it was true Craivaruth couldn’t fly but ther was something about the blue he felt sure was important, something that made him want to disregard his dragon born desire to fling himself at Sel’n and cling to the bluerider instead. Dropping his hands the greenrider frowned for a few moments more, then made the best choice he could. Reaching out for J’ash he gathered the bluerider up in one arm, and deliberately stepped backwards to press against Sel’n, reaching his other arm up to wrap around the brownrider’s neck. ‘Isn’t it about time you two started paying attention to me?’ he breathed.

Kaaoloth gave a shriek of displeasure as Craivaruth’s talon’s found a tentative purchase in his thigh. Immediately the large brown’s gaze went completely scarlet and his tail viciously whipped towards the blue/green striking him in the side before he found the runt’s tail coiled around the lower half of his own, restricting the movement. Roaring his displeasure Kaaoloth had just about decided to go for Craivaruth’s throat to end the little bastard’s life when Rinagth intervened. A purring rumble left his throat at her strike to the sexless one. Kaaoloth was sorry that he displeased her yes but his fondness for the female rushed back to the forefront of his mind when it became apparent that she was helping him. Thought of killing Craivaruth fled his mind long enough for Rinagth’s obvious will to shove him a different direction.
When J’ash suddenly wrenched J’on away Sel’n’s reaction was immediate. Belt knife sprung to hand and he literally growled at the boy, shifting into a crouch with the intention of springing upon him and taking him out of a flight he had no right to be in. Unfortunately J’on was in the way and he would not hurt Rinagth. Even if he desired to tear this infuriating annoyance apart. The green’s hand on his chest was his only restraint as he shifted his grip on the knife and simply glared fury at J’ash. Daring the him to try.
Kaaoloth watched with stirring affection as Rinagth dipped low to swipe for Craivaruth with her own talons. Her trill inspired instant reaction and the large brown brought his unhooked hind leg up and pushing it against the blue/green’s belly kicked viciously. The move dislodged him violently, the little runt’s talons ripping clean of his hide as Kaaoloth powered upwards free and clear of his victim. As he powered upwards to suitable height he called enticingly to Rinagth throwing wide his massive wings in a clear invite that he waited patiently for her to accept. His Rinagth. As she drew alongside of him he reacted instantly, grabbing her gently. Kaaoloth was careful not to accidentally impale her with ichor stained talons before roughly pulling the green alongside him. An affectionate and lusty croon left his throat as he rubbed his head up the length of her neck before twining both neck and tail tightly with hers. Only for you my Rinagth. Always for you. Those where the only words he offered to explain his actions.
Sel’n gave a low grunt as J’on pressed up against him. His green and he would not share. Gently he extracted J’ash from the green’s grip and then roughly shoved the boy aside. “Mine. Not yours. Go.” He hissed viciously snorting at the boy before turning to actually pick J’on up and head for the bed to claim what was his[i/]. Rinagth had chosen him and damn if he would share with some sexless runt. Never. If he sought to try Sel’n was not above hurting him in retribution. His mind completely claimed by Kaaoloth it was in J’ash’s best interest not to contest him.

Craivaruth's attention was briefly diverted by the whip of Rinagth's tail to his talons, confusion swirling in with his anger. He was not distracted for long, however, as Kaaoloth's retaliation was a higher priority. The Blue snarled, a bit of sadistic satisfaction trickling down his spine at having restrained the Brown from hitting him - at having power over him. But he was never fully satisfied, and still he wanted more. He dug his talons in deeper and tightened the grip of his tail as much as he could. In that instant Craivaruth knew something about the Flight had changed, and a bit of panic tingled in his veins. He snapped furiously at the dragon's flesh as the Brown purred delightfully at the Green. Whatever they had just agreed on, Craivaruth would not have it.
The Bluerider actually took a half-step back when J'on whipped around, the Greenrider's expression heavily drenched in anger. It was one that he'd never seen J'on use before; he broke eye-contact to look over his shoulder at Sel'n, who was just as furious, if not moreso. He clenched his fists and began to raise his arms in defense as Sel'n whipped out a knife, muscles tensing to spring out of the way when the Brownrider launched at him. He froze when his mate's palm came up to press against his chest, not wincing despite the dull sting of the pressure applied on the scratch marks. Sel'n was also being restrained. J'ash glared at him, a challenging look in his eye that seemed to say, you think that scares me? Clearly he didn't know J'ash. The Bluerider was, like Craivaruth, brave at times he really ought not to be, even if it meant injury or worse in the end.
The Blue wrapped his neck around Kaaoloth's side, trying to reach his wings with his teeth, intent to shred them. Before he could stretch his short neck far enough to reach them, though, Rinagth had begun slashing at his legs. Bringing his head forward again, he roared angrily at her. Why was she siding with the idiot Brown? Did she really want someone so closed-minded, so irrational, so unfair? A hard force was exerted on his chest, making it impossible to breathe for a moment. His claws tore through flesh as he was forcefully removed. Spreading his torn wings did nothing to keep him aloft, let alone slow him down some as he began to fall. He untangled his tail and whipped it at Kaaoloth in one last attempt to inflict pain.
J'ash grit his teeth hard, feeling Craivaruth's pain. He narrowed his eyes dangerously at Sel'n - how DARE His hurt Craivaruth! His form was visibly shaking with rage. He barely noticed J'on wrap an arm around him - why was he being brought closer to the Brownrider? "Rinagth may have chosen," he snarled, "but J'on hasn't." He went to grab the Greenrider again but was viciously shoved out of the way. He stumbled, not managing to keep his balance, and fell. Even as he began to pick himself up, the feeling of falling did not cease. Craivaruth! he called mentally, panic quickly rising within him, unshed tears of frustration now becoming those of worry and guilt for his dragon.
Craivaruth fell. Thankfully, the fight had taken place not too high up; he crashed through the canopy of the treetops, branches cracking under his weight, and purposely landed on his side, avoiding breaking his wings. Air was knocked out of him a second time, and he struggled to regain it as he watched Kaaoloth and Rinagth above him.
J'ash's arms gave out as the Blue hit the ground hard, and he collapsed again. He had to pause until breathing was possible. I'm coming, I'll bring a Dragonhealer, he tried to console the mangled Blue, unsteadily managing to stand. He threw a hurt look at J'on over his shoulder as the Greenrider was placed on the bed, but avoided looking at Sel'n. If he did, he would probably launch himself at the Brownrider. He didn't care about the knife, nor about the fact that he didn't have one of his own. Sel'n had to pay.
But Craivaruth came first. With his head down, J'ash darted from the room, intent on finding a Dragonhealer.
