Killed through poisoned tithes
UNDER MAJOR UPDATINGNESS -- HISTORY AND ASLATH ARE OUT OF DATE
Name: Shmee
Age: 21
Gender: Female
Sexual Orientation: Heterosexual
Rank: Sr. Weyrwoman
Physical Appearance: Many consider Shmee to be beautiful, even though she doesn't dote on her appearance as much as she once did. Her long, slender body is fair, absent of blemishes that make most girls self-conscious. As a result, Shmee isn't very self-conscious about her looks, and doesn't understand the mentality of the people who are. Her body is only slightly tall, a little taller than the average woman. However, she is a bit too thin, with ribs that protrude from her body ever-so-slightly. Her hips are even, if not large enough to be considered ideal, but she likes them more. It's less to carry around, after all! Her breasts, too, aren't very large, but she certainly isn't missing anything. Her long limbs are tipped by even more slender appendages, perhaps giving the illusion of frailty to her being. However, the callouses on them are proof that though she is small-looking, she does give in her fair share of work, so is not weak by a long shot. Littered about her body are some burn scars that might make her look less than perfect, but she pays no attention to them unless someone brings them up.
Her oval shaped face is slightly angular at her chin, but the point is rounded delicately, making it seem childlike rather than severe. This face is framed with short black hair that hangs just below her ears, shorn very carefully so as to not look too messy. It does, however, give off a relaxed vibe, and she doesn't always do her best to smooth out the tangles that are bound to live in her hair. Nevertheless, it always maintains a sleek look to it, a kind of natural shine. The jet-black hair matches her smooth, even eyebrows that crown her round eyes, perhaps the most prominent feature of her face. They are a bright, very vivid blue that always manage to lock with others. These are eyes that are hard to pull away from, but once again, aren't made for intimidation. They are bright with playfulness and friendliness, and warm with laughter. Her ears are a bit longer than one would call perfect, but they are carefully hidden beneath her black locks. Her small, pert mouth and nose, too, are not gracious enough to be considered perfect, but they still capture her mischievousness quite well.
Personality: Once a wild, egotistical, charismatic girl, the past two turns have changed her, probably for the better. She still maintains her level of charm, managing to still get what she needs to, but she no longer abuses the power. She knows that life isn't her playground now, so she is extremely cautious when moving things to what she thinks is better. However, she is still extremely emotional when things don't go her way, a remnant of her old self that lingers, as well as one of the things people don't like about her. If she has her heart set on something, she is determined to do it, and if it doesn't work, it will end in tears.
Self-blame is something Shmee struggles with. When she lost her first babe, she blamed herself, and still finds herself very responsible even today. Yet this drives her to make sure the same mistakes aren't repeated. She will become perhaps over-cautious when trying to keep things peaceful. If something does go wrong, she'll bitterly blame herself to a point that will probably make her cry. She is highly sensitive, and hates people challenging her, which she sometimes feels like are attacks at her if they don't agree with something she says. However, she hates mistakes, and if these mistakes prove to be grave, she'll blame herself. Unfortunately, her desperate need for peace make it so that she is sometimes blind to new things. If there's a plan that could work, but also risks the lives of people, she'll shoot it down, no questions asked. This can be frustrating for people who do want to do so, and lead many others to think that Shmee is close-minded. In a way, she is, but she does it out of caring for the weyrfolk.
Shmee is a loving creature, who only dislikes those who make an earnest attempt to hurt her (either physically or emotionall) or seem to dislike her first. If it looks like someone needs a person to talk to and they come within Shmee's line of sight, they should expect to see Shmee bound along anxiously, doing whatever she can to make the other feel better. She hates seeing people suffer, and she tries to help by talking to them, comforting them, or even just offering to be around. This caring is reflected in her own life. She wants so much to have a real family, and she will keep trying through whatever problems come up to keep her own alive and well. Her family, as well as Aslath, are the most important things to her, and is something she would never sacrifice willingly.
Of course, her love of people often leads to foolishness and clinginess. Apart from rejecting new things, Shmee will do crazy things in the name of love. One example of this is when her weyrmate's dragon, Salenth, Chased a dragon that wasn't Aslath. Shmee went down to where the Flight was happening and tried to force S'rei to see him. This led to her rape by another man in the Flight, and may prove disastrous for the girl's fragile mind.
The thought of not being loved is a paralyzing fear for Shmee. This rape especially taps into that-- she worries above all else that S'rei will reject her because of it, and the fact that they had argued not too long before that. But only time will tell what happens with that.
Shmee may be a difficult person to be around or get to know, but she means well. She can be incredibly caring toward a person, which is enough to hopefully get them to love her-- unless her dramatic flaws turn them away.
History: Shmee was born in a very small hold to a raiser of runnerbeasts, Shan, and his wife, Aleeya. The had three sons before Shmee was born, and she was their pride and joy. She spent a lot of her days running around the pastures with the runnerbeasts, learning necessary skills for life on the side.
However, the only talent this girl had was creativity. She wasn't particularly smart, but she had a fascinating imagination. After realizing she was good with people as well, they sent her off to Harper Hall. However, this was not the place for little Shmee. No matter how graceful her hands looked, she completely flubbed playing an instrument, and she couldn't sing no matter how hard she tried. So, with a letter of regret from the harpers, she came back home.
Now, her parents were faced with a slight problem. What in the world were they going to do with her? They didn't want to deal with her jealousy problems towards her baby sister, so, at Shmee's age of 15, she was betrothed to a miner.
Shmee was horrified. Miners worked in dirty caves! She didn't want to be a miner's wife! So at a gather one day, she ran across some dragonriders, and charmed them into letting her live in the Selenitas Weyr. Then, she heard a clutch was on the Sands, and she naturally wanted to be involved. So, she went on the Sands as a candidate, and she Impressed the queen, Aslath, even though it should have gone to someone in Selenitas' line.
Now as Senior Weyrwoman of mature queen Aslath, the Weyr might get a bit more crazy with her in charge.

Name: Aslath
Color: Gold (FFF68F)
Age: 6 turns
Physical Appearance: Aslath, as far as queens go, is a bit on the small side. She may easily be dwarfed by her daughters, but she takes it in stride. She is proportioned well, with wings that can last her long amounts of time in the air, even if she isn't necessarily a fast dragon. She is blessed, however, with not being too bulky. She has appropriate muscle for her size, but it doesn't weigh her down. She is trim and doesn't eat too much, as one might guess from looking at her. It works well for her, and all goes toward one thing: Not being weighed down in a Flight. Yet neither is she too thin. After all, a queen needs her muscles!
For coloring, she sports a pale gold body, and its shading is even in every place on her hide. The metallic glimmers strongest whenever she is close to Flight, but the shine is unmistakable even when she isn't. The only marks on her hide are uneven stripes across her back and face that are a slightly darker shade of gold. One of them curves halfway around one of her large eyes, though most of these stripes are on her back. But even these marks have the metallic shine of her queenhood.
Personality: Aslath is MUCH more reserved than Shmee, but she still likes to flirt with males on occasion. She also makes up for Shmee's lack of memory and intelligence.
Species: Firelizard
Color: Blue
Gender: Male
Age: Hatchling
Description: Absolutely tiny is this firelizard, small enough to be mistaken for a green in terms of size. Several large greens will even dwarf him. His body is long and spindly, and his wings are startlingly thin, though long enough that they will grand ridiculously fast turns. Gliding is definitely difficult for this firelizard, so he prefers to sit and perch. His tail is very long and whippy, almost the length of his entire body, giving him a more serpentine appearance than most firelizards possess, and he has slightly large eyes that are expressive even for a firelizard. As far as coloring goes, his hide is a backwash of blue so dark as to resemble the night sky. Over his ridges and along the edges of his wings are slightly lighter blue shades that add emphasis and depth to his appearance. Peculiarly, when light hits him, he has a nearly metallic blue sheen, a mingling of elegant sapphire and vivid aqua that resembles some kind of folded steel melted into hide. All of these traits together give this little blue an extraordinarily unique appearance that is not easily forgotten and often merits a second or third look, as though to make sure that he is real.
Personality: Taking after his dam, this little blue is extraordinarily quiet, rarely making a peep; when he does, it is quiet and musical, like every little sound is the first few notes or chords of a song. Even at his loudest, he is 'soft' spoken, and it is more often for this blue to bob his head or shake it to answer rather than make any noise. He says a lot with what he doesn't say; his eyes are highly expressive and show every emotion more effectively even than most other firelizards do. Given the small size of his wings, this firelizard much prefers to sit and will likely act as a permanent ornament to his humanpet, perching on shoulders, in hair or hands; he will rarely venture far, as physical touch is comforting to him. His small size will make it hard for him to participate in many flights, so for him to chase will be rare -- only the firelizards most deserving will merit his attention. He's actually more likely to chase salamandyr greens, although whether he catches them or not remains to be seen. Graced with the patience of a saint, this firelizard is extremely hard to make angry, and is an exceptional listener; though he may not be the most intelligent of blues, he's not unintelligent, either, and will follow the orders of his bonded heedlessly - right or wrong. Nothing pleases him more than to hear he's done something well and he takes excessive pride in making his bonded happy - at most any cost.
