Name: Feyezu
Age: 25
Gender: Male
Sexual Orientation: Homosexual
Rank: Assistant Headman
Physical Appearance: Feyezu is an incredibly ordinary man, at least in terms of appearance. He's average height for a man but is a good head taller than most women at roughly 5'9", and the fact that he isn't overly muscular doesn't help his physique. (He doesn't lift more than a big pot or pan well.) Fey is also quite pale, leaving many people wonder if he goes outside at all. If you were to ask, he'd probably tell you, "Not if I can help it!"--There are bugs and things out there, you see, and he hates small things that climb on him. His hair is a dark mousey brown, and it could easily be a shaggy mop, if it weren't for his hate for dark shaggy mops. He keeps it meticulously groomed and perfectly in place, and trims it himself about once a four-seven-day. For anyone else to touch his hair with scissors is generally regarded as blasphemy, and they might have to die afterwords. Feyezu's eyes are a light brown, and mostly nondescript. Generally Fey dresses in body-tight clothing, for two reasons. One- they look good on his body without showing off how little muscle he actually has. Two- it's not a good idea to wear flowy things when you're going to be in and out of the kitchens.. you never know what will catch on fire.
Personality: A cheerful and fun man, Feyezu is not the kind that shies away from human contact. He loves people and he loves being /around/ people, and isn't afraid to show his affection; he's fond of casually touching people on the shoulder or arm.. and that's just if he doesn't know you. He gives hugs freely and kisses on the cheeks commonly, so essentially can be called touchy-feely, though not in the perverted sense unless he actually likes you in the perverted sense. Fey has a light sense of humor that is often laced with sarcasm when he is in a darker mood, but jovial in a lighter mood. He laughs often and freely.. but tries not to because his laugh tends to sound like a gagging chicken. Fey swears he has a throat problem, but everyone else knows better.
Though Fey is fond of having fun, he is also hardworking and loves his job. He gets called various names (pansy, weak, etc) for essentially doing a woman's job, but he's practically a woman by some people's standards, so it doesn't bother him in the slightest. Fey works well with women--all types of women--mostly because of his gentle and caring nature, but also because he has a bad habit of acting and talking like one. Thankfully, he has yet to progress to /dressing/ like one.
Feyezu is openly gay, but not so openly that he will jump anyone that offers. Many of the dragonriders feel that it is an invitation to push their flightlust onto him, but he's not afraid to state otherwise and run in the other direction. While he doesn't always want a committed relationship, when he gets into one, he is faithful to him, and pushy dragonriders just annoy him.
History: Feyezu was born to a gay bluerider (Zu'mal) caught up in flightlust and a kitchenworker (Feysara) that happened to be willing. Her mother had always said that his father was more than a little confused at the time, and honestly had no idea that Feyezu existed--mostly because she didn't tell him. Feysara had known Zu'mal before the eventful flight and they became ironic friends afterwords, but she never told him exactly who the father of her son was.. and he never looked closely enough at the boy to see any kind of resemblence. Feyezu is and was an only child, as his mother never saw the necessity of having a second when she loved her first so much. So Feyezu was raised lovingly well, and when he came to the realisation that he liked boys just a tad too much at the age of fourteen turns.. she accepted him, and did her best to protect him from the less-accepting within the weyr.
It didn't work, of course. He was picked on by the boys he hated, and those he liked merely thought of him as weird and stayed away from him. The girls, of course, thought he was amazingly adorable and took him under their wing.. which only served to make him /more/ girly, if possible. Because of his distinct lack of male company for most of puberty, Fey didn't have his first kiss until he was nearly seventeen, and didn't have his first relationship until almost a turn later. He's been in numerous relationships since, and now knows how to handle those that hate him for who he is--mostly, run very fast.
Just before his eighteenth birthday, his mother began contemplating moving them. His problems with guys hadn't really gotten any better (though he liked to think they had), though he was becoming more experienced in covering the bruises up. She wanted to transfer down south to Selenitas, and wanted him to come with her. He agreed--there was little at Benden for him. Aside from a few close friends he had no place there, and so he willingly went along.
He was discovered by the Headwoman when he was twenty turns old (two turns after moving up) as being remarkable at delegating smaller tasks amongst his friends (throwing giant parties was easy for Fey) and he knew the ins and outs of the kitchens and creche simply from working with his mother when he was young. She grabbed him and trained him as her assistant, and he loved it--and has remained there ever since.
