Killed in the Siege of Selenitas
Name: Religna (REH lee NAH)
Age: 15 Turns
Gender: Female
Sexual Orientation: Homosexual. (Although, she doesn't realize this.)
Rank: Apprentice Weaver // Green-Weyrling
Physical Appearance: At a distance, or at first glance, one might think Religna a boy, indeed, her build suggests it more than the fourteen turn old would like. Much to her distaste, Religna, is short, there's no better way to put it. She'll not grow much more than her 5'3", which makes it exremely difficult to intimidate people, or shout at them in any way. It would sort of remind you of a four turn old yelling at a Bronze, amusing? Not for her. Religna's body is of the slender type, and though lacking curves, once up close it is impossible to call her anything but a lady.
For the most part, Religna has fairly nice features. Not overly-beautiful, but certainly attractive. A nose that escapes description aside from the small bump on the bridge, courtesy of a broken nose that healed wrong, lips of a healthy pink that seem tipped at the side, curving her mouth into a smile most of the time, without her even realising it, and proud, sharp features. In many ways, Religna strongly resembles her brother in many ways. Eyes are of a deep brown, like freshly turned soil, almost black in some lights, with dark lashes that are neither thick, nor thin. Despite her height, or lack there of, Religna looks older than she is in some ways, as well as not looking like a doll, she looks like someone that - if you ticked her off - she could, and would, kick your backside into the next interval.
If there was anything to be proud of, it would be Religna's hair. If it were shorter than the waist-length she has decided to grow it to, it would probably be curly, not exactly the cute ringlets that seem to be envisioned with blonde children, but close. Instead, with all the weight placed on the thick, silky strands they have fallen in waves, softly falling around her features. Religna is lucky, like alot of Pernese children, her hair is dark, but she's lucky. Instead of resembling the rock coal, it seems that midnight it's self has been woven into the silken strands, silky, glossy, as dark as a raven's feathers.
Her skin is tanned, more likely from the time spent in the sun as a child, she looks much like she belongs in the sunshine and heat, like the idea of climbing over rocks is something thrilling, or was when she was younger. Few scars mark her body, aside from on her back, long lashes marking the skin.
Personality: The first thing noticed about the young woman, is she's very quiet. She prefers to keep her opinions to herself and will often try to find away around telling someone what she's thinking. Religna doesn't like to talk, hates gossiping and finds many people that waste their breath annoying. She'll say what she has to, in as little words as possible. It's more often her tone of voice that tells people how she's feeling than the words spoken.
Generally, she keeps to herself, preffering her own company to that of anyone else. Sitting alone with her thoughts for company is more than enough for her, she likes to be busy with her hands and once she's gotten into her work, she finds it extremely annoying when she's interuppted. Religna couldn't be called shy though, in her words there is a difference between being shy, and preffering the company of intelligent people.
Religna isn't the type to break down and cry at a disaster, she's very composed and isn't likely to loose her temper. Most of her emotions are shown at 1/5th of what they are on the inside, she might be fuming, but outwardly only shows a mild annoyance. She's polite, courteous, nice. Perhaps unfortunately for her, she is the type of person who will face her fear over and over again, just to prove she isn't some weakling girl that runs from the first sign of conflict. Like her intense fear of men for instance, she won't let that rule her life. Or her lack of trust for almost everyone, the fact she finds it almost impossible to trust...
History: As always, the story starts with her father, Rawn, and her mother, Ligna. No matter what anyone says though, the person that always meant the most was Rawign. He was her big brother, and Religna found she could always depend on the boy who was three turns her senior. She was born into a fishing family in Nerat, and though her father was an excellent fisherman, and her mother known for her stew, Religna grew up without any interest in the sea or cooking.
She was raised like any other girl in the north, there was no protection offered by her parents but at the same time, neither raised a hand against their daughter. She was simply to take care of herself. When one grows up with a bunch of hold boys that seem to make it their job to make life as difficult as possible, Religna was definately glad for the protection her brother did give her. Until he was thirteen, and he ran away to become a Healer. At first, the ten turn old was angry, upset, her brother, her knight in shining armour had left her on her own. He hadn't taken her with him, and he had to of known she would be alone. The anger faded after time, leaving her with resignation.
The break in her nose was thanks to a rather off-handed comment, Religna had not lost her temper, but she'd certainly had enough of the boys. She should have ignored them, should have let them have their comments that really only served to annoy her. She didn't. Thus, the break. Though she'd been beaten by the same group plenty of times, and bruises were becoming quite common, she never recieved the same beating as the one she recieved that day. One often gets distracted when pain fogs the mind, but the broken nose was nothing like the feeling of a belt on her back. One after the other, the lashes thumped down on her, the tunic taking only some of the pain. Pain fades, scars do not. At ten, the fear of men was already implanted in her mind, and the severe beating only gave that seed of fear roots and water to grow.
Perhaps as a distraction, perhaps as a way to prove she could do something like her brother, Religna became a weaver's apprentice. She was ten turns then, and still remains an apprentice four turns later. She put all her effort into the work, avoiding almost everyone, the already quiet girl drawing into herself for company. She was searched only very recently.
Dragons/Whers/Fire Lizards:
Name: Ith
Color: Green
Age: Under One Turn
Physical Appearance:
Personality:
Dragons/Whers/Fire Lizards:
Name: Toria
Age: Under One Turn
Color Code: 228B22
Description: While small at first, this green will soon surpass many of her siblings, growing to be the size of an average blue. Her squat, wide wings are best designed for gliding and soaring, catching thermals and breezes with ease. But beware of the calm day! This green has great difficulty flying straight, and will soon become exhausted with the constant flapping that maintaining altitude will require of her without any sort of aid. Her Flights will likely be on windy days, and far more like the straight-flying powering of a queen dragon than the quick, darting twists and turns of your average green. Her hide is a lovely leaf-green, free of markings, though her talons are a browner hue than normally seen on firelizards, and longer than usual.
Personality:This green is always very chipper, willing to chatter on at you in fire-lizard at all hours if you’ll let her. Completely adoring of her minething, she will be a constant companion and care about nobody else, often seeming incredibly rude to other people and pets because of her hurry to get to YOU! A miserable messenger, this silly creature is more likely to try and deliver your message to a riderless runner in the middle of the jungle than its actual intended recipient. Sending her off with a message might be a good way to get rid of her for a couple ours, but be ready to tend to an exhausted and miserable creature when she finally does return, for she always feels awful when she fails in a task her minething has sent her to do. All in all, she is a far more pleasant companion than helper, and a very good friend.
