((Just a little late?))
Boat duty. Again. Great. Any other duty was just fine. She had something to do. She chopped somthing, she mopped something, there was some outcome at the end of her chore. But no. Boat duty meant that she just sat there, waiting on the off chance someone could row their own sharding ass over the river. It wasn't that hard, left, right, left, right, across. Woo. Yay them. They made it across the river. They should get a prize.
By the shards of Faranth's egg she was in a bad mood. The scowl on her face was very noticeable and it was very rare for her to be so angered by a chore. Liassa knew that she was being unreasonable and that a chore was a chore, but she'd had a nagging bad feeling for the past few candlemarks and she was too tired to push it to the back of her mind and put on a smile. Tiaeth had awaken at 4 in the morning and decided it was breakfast time. She loved the little dragon, but 4 in the morning?? The sun wasn't even up yet.
Thankfully, now the green was asleep, leaving her to her chores.
He had glow duty, at 7 in the morning. Now that was ridiculous. R'lor shrugged it off, heading over to the boats. His arms were full of glows that he was instructed to gather from the candidate and weyrling barracks. Currently they were all dark because they'd sent him off without any new glows to replace them. Approaching the river, he wondered how he was going to get across without dumping the glows into the bottom of the boat then wasting time trying to recollect them and manage to fit them all into his arms again to make it back to the closet with the new glows. Complications.
And then he saw another person. Recognizing the look on her face, he realized she must be on boat duty. Shard it, he hated to do this to her, but he wasn't sure if he could manage to pick these all up again. "Umm, would you mind rowing me across?" he asked, almost tripping over a tree branch as he drew closer. "I could do it myself, but then I don't think I'd manage to stack these glows as impressively again." He smiled at her charmingly, only receiving an icy glare in return.
He might drop his glows, heaven forbid. If looks could kill, he'd be dead. "Sure," she responded shortly, climbing into one of the boats and motioning for him to sit across from him. Now wasn't this just grand.
