Kindrith did not stray from his position as Anemith came for him, aware of the danger but also lust-crazed enough to want to tangle with her. That he hadher sole attention for a timespan put him on cloud nine. When she slashed at him, he tried to grapple with her, unwilling to let her go so quickly even as her talons ripped into his hide. He didn't care, he wanted her. But he was not able to hang onto her like he wanted to, and she got away, to go attack yet another dragon.
Kindrith crooned sadly as she went, not really noticing that he was dripping his own ichor. The sturdy blue had been damaged before, though in battle, and he was not unfamiliar with dealing with it. When he did notice, he brushed it aside, and dived after her once she abandoned the other dragon as well. She had not chosen yet, it was time to move for her. To show her that he really was worth her attention!!
Bellowing at the top of his lungs, Kindrith dived, wings tucked tight to his sides. He pulled his legs in tight to his belly, becoming as a javelin headed for the river, straight behind her. In her wake, he managed to make up some speed, catching up to her. Seeing the river coming, he knew he was going to have to pull off a rather spectacular stunt to not die when he impacted.
And he wasn't entirely sure he could pull it off flawlessly. But he was willing to try, for her. There. She pulled up, skimming along the river's surface. She was a sight to see! So agile! So lovely! But she faltered. Which put a sudden fear into Kindrith's heart ... if she couldn't pull it off ...
Oh, SHARDS! It was too late to pull out. He threw his wings wide, braking, and pulling a hard turn to follow her through the maneuver and not impact the river. But the big blue didn't manage it. Where she only almost pulled a backflip, he did. Kindrith made a terrific splashdown in the river, sending water spraying everywhere. But he wasn't there long. Rebounding off the river bottom with all the launching power his body possesed, he came flying out of that spray before it even had a chance to start heading downward again. Crooning to her as if he had meant to do that, for a spectacular stunt to show off with a dramatic flair for her.
Yes, that was it!
See? He was all sparkly and shiny and glimmering blue for her, now! And all that ichor was washed off, too, cleaning the wounds she had inflicted on him. He was all blue now, and not green-streaked. And glimmering with water dropplets skidding along his tightly stretched wings and hard-working body as he followed her down the river.
Surely she had seen him! There was no way she hadn't! With that spectacular a splash down, she had to have seen him! And he was still there, for her! He still wanted her! He was the best of the lot, surely she would see that.

Kaaoloth tensed as Anemith quickly turned and proceeded to tear into two of her blue suitors. The large brown watched in interest slightly irritated that she didn’t see him as worthy of attention as those blue weaklings. Snorting he followed her dutifully but was sure to keep ample space between them. After all he would need time to react should she decide to grace him with her talons. He circled as she dove straight towards the river and he quickly pulled a dive of his own only much less steep than hers had been.
Nevertheless Kaaoloth was not used to high speed dives and had to angle out of it more quickly than her blue pursuers did. He let his back claws rake the water highlighting his brown hide with glittering droplets. He winged past Kindrith and hissed as he spun around and continued to pursue the green temptress. He had a healthy respect for her capabilities but was not afraid, no in fact he only desired her more for her brutality.

Rolling to the side as Anemith went for Kindrith, Styth made sure he was out of the way of the scuffle. He might feel animosity toward the other suitors, but he didn't want to get in between the Queen and her attack. Swiveling his pinions so he could catch an updraft, the Brown observed as the female attacked the other blue, her actions confused him. Never had he seen a female attack a chaser and let him continue to compete, always dismissing him in the end. Anemith was a unique one to be sure, and all the more desirable for it. The way she flowed from one attack to another was beautiful, savage, but beautiful.
Arching into the dive, Styth pinned his wings to his side as he faithfully followed the shinning Green through the sky, using his tail to stay on course. Unlike his competitors, Styth knew he wouldn't be able to pull out of the dive as late as the faster Blues probably could, making the decision to pull out early instead of chance getting hurt. Coming out of the dive so that his talons scraped the water, Styth angled his wings so they could catch the spray, trying his best to cool his muscles before they started to really burn.
Oh this Queen Green was a tricky on, and she wasn't about to make this flight easy, that much she had shown so far. Styth roared, retaking his place in the pack of males that flew in Anemith's wake. He wasn't about to lose to a bunch of insignificant blues, as far as he was concerned, Kaaoloth was his only tough competition.

Soaring just above the confusion of males on her tail, Jaxith's purple glazed eyes whirled with lust as he watched Anemith attack two of her blue suitors, angling his wings to follow her trajectory even as she launched off one to veer into another. The sheer beauty of it had him vowing to take her for his own, soft croons coming from him as he watched, keeping up with the pack. To attack the very males she sought to keep away from, it was amazing that she could do it and keep from being snagged by any of them. Such prowess in the skies, mingled with her unpredictability had the blue's blood surging in want. So what that the first blooded wasn't him? He could be patient, outlast all those others seeking to take her.
He followed her into the dive, finally attempting to close some distance as he tucked his wings close, his long form cutting through the air like a knife, the roar of the wind like a wall of sound blocking out much else. The ground shot up towards him at a breakneck speed, but he refused to pull up before that beautiful green form did, fully aware that it would be difficult to change course fast enough to avoid the river below.
The air turned humid in an instant, and as Anemith suddenly pulled safely up into a partial roll, Jaxith snapped his wings out with a thunderous clap of displaced air, straining against his bulk to stop his fall. He roared his defiance of gravity, wings creaking as he narrowly avoided the falling shape of Kindrith splashing down. His tail sluiced through the water as he shot straight downstream, his muscles burning from the strain of so much pressure as he passed beneath Anemith, too fast to pull a turn and keep just behind the Queen green. Dragging his feet in the river to slow him faster, Jaxith sent up a wave of glittering spray, angled his wings, and used his remaining momentum to shoot straight back up, winging over to fly momentarily upside down as he headed towards that fleeting green shape. After a moment of difficult flying, he righted himself and crooned at her for her cleverness, to see that he was able to keep up with flare.
He soared on the air after her, waiting for her next move while he attempted to cool and rest his muscles. He'd have to watch himself, or he'd be left in the wake of this most clever of greens. He would show her that he was agile enough to keep up with whatever she may toss his way though. With that thought in mind, he put on some speed to catch up, stretching his wings to their fullest, and angling to rise above her again.

Anemith spun suddenly and turned on some of her chasers, bellowing a challenge as her talons slashed at the hide of some other blue. Azrath, still drifting in his chosen thermal despite this turn of events, bugled back without hesitation. Oh there was fight in this green! She was strong and spirited as well as wonderfully pretty and he liked that about her, liked it a great deal. Azrath was not among those who suffered a little under Anemith’s wicked talons but he wanted to be.
Anemith shot away again and Azrath whipped out of his thermal to follow her, stretching his body into the most streamlined shape possible. A dive from his viscous beauty? No problem! Azrath folded his wings tight to his body, ignoring the danger in such a move in his desire to impress, no to astound, Anemith.
Down and down, as fast as gravity could pull him, Azrath dived after the object of his desire, paying no mind the rushing sound of the air or the rising shadow of the river. While Anemith dived Azrath would never pull up! Then suddenly she did pull up at a very sharp angle indeed. Azrath pulled his hindquarters down under him as if he were landing and backwinged a few times rapidly to slow his headlong plunge toward the river. Then, deeming his downward motion sufficiently slowed, the blue levelled out into a glide above the river’s surface then shot upward again at a moderate angle. He crooned softly to Anemith. Did she see him? Did she see how clever he was and to what lengths he would go to for her? In this moment there was truly nothing that Azrath wouldn’t do for the savage, wild, splendid creature who held him at her mercy. Nothing at all.

To Angth’s delight, Anemith suddenly veered back through the crowd of suitors directly to him! He let out a loving, low croon, delighted that she had so suddenly picked him! It was pure ecstasy for one brilliant and brief millisecond as the two connected, with Angth desperately trying to tangle his limbs with hers and Anemith attempting to push off of him. Of course, the green’s will won out and all too quickly her brilliant form was moving away in space in slow-motion, leaving only a mocking tail waggling in his face.
Angth tried so hard to catch that beautiful, beautiful tail. His neck stretched out to it’s fullest, and he flailed his wings, but it was too late. Her momentum had been transferred to him, along with claw-marks where she had pushed off of him, and he was falling backwards, away from his lovely prize, away…
Perhaps it if wasn’t for the tail, the male might have given up and allowed himself to fall to the ground like a dying, shooting star. But something in that magnificent tail taunted him, spoke to him. It told him that he still had a chance, that she still wanted him to Chase. And Chase Angth would!
Twirling in the air, Angth managed to backwing just in time to save himself from impact with the jungle. Rapidly he rose again to catch up with the green he was certainly far, far behind now, searching vainly for the cluster… but they were no where in sight. What? Had they gone between? The blue hovered in the air for a moment in confusion. But then Anemith appeared from below the cliff face, and Angth warbled dejectedly. She had performed another maneuver while he was righting himself! No matter. It wasn’t like the river was going anywhere any time soon.
Dropping into another descent, Angth folded his wings and plummeted at perilous speeds to pick up lost time. He was the last one to dip by the river, but he had the advantage of watching the others’s trial and error. Unfurling his sails an instant before he pulled up, the powder blue’s scale-patterned body skimmed the rippling surface of the water for a second and he dipped his legs into the river to slow his momentum. The resulting action showered him with droplets, but he was slowed enough so that he could angle upwards again. And so he did, wings on fire as he pushed them harder to catch up with Anemith.
Again Angth emerged at the back of the pack, but this time he was sparkling with droplets of water that mixed with the ichor oozing from the claw-marks on his side. He roared piercingly, a noise that vibrated his entire body. His eyes were near black with desire, his side was burning from the wounds and his muscles were sore from strain. Angth would not last much longer, but for now, he was still in the Flight, shardit!
